Caufield Clay Works: what do users think?

Morgan S: Took a “wine and pottery” class and it was so fun! They gave great direction and were willing to help along the way. It was fun to have time at the end to decorate our pottery.

Dan Tull: , but relieved that with excellent instruction and guidance

Theresa Mensinger: Excellent experience! Fun, educational, engaging and you get a vase at the end. Loved it!

Timothy Gallivan: Lucy did a great job teaching us how to make things w/clay. Fun time. A Christmas gift for our family. 🙂

Deino: Awesome studio! Doug and Lucy went above and beyond in instructing us. Will definitely come back!

Selene De Luna: It was an amazing experience. I had so much fun learning.

Karly H (Exploring the lakes!): Came here with a small group. It would be super cool for a group of people to come and learn how to spin clay. Overall a fun atmosphere. Would recommend coming here with a group and being artsy.

Jessica Heasley: Finally got our group pottery class booked and it was a great experience! Doug was a wonderful teacher who helped and encouraged us through our first experience throwing clay on a wheel. We haven't seen the finished products yet, but I'm sure that we will enjoy using them.

Arthur Tran: Came here for their Valentine’s Day class and couldn’t have a better experience! The owner and Doug were very insightful all throughout! Doug was great and able to show us the basics and the owner gave us these Polaroids to top it off!Definitely recommend for anyone looking to try something new!

Ash Bernhardt: Went here for their valentine's class, it felt solidly social distanced and was a lot of fun! Doug was great, and helped us make pieces we're happy with.

Jenna Lory: Very enjoyable! Thank you, Lucy!

Jeannie McCarver: Wow, just wow! We decided tosplurge on pottery dishes and we couldnot be more pleased- Kevin worked w us on designs and the dishes are absolutely stunning and exactly what we wanted. We also did a family pottery class and it was a blast.

Shannon Lo: I honestly think that the price is a too high for the quality of the entire class.

Chris Marshall: Utilized a Groupon for an introductory class with my 15 year old daughter. Casual, fun studio! Easy to follow instructions but years to master the art of "throwing clay"! We had a great time and will definitely go back to create more clay works of art!

Sarah J: Had a great time at pottery class, which was taught by Kevin. He is very knowledgeable, but not overbearing with giving instructions. Just went and picked up my pieces and they turned out great. I’d definitely come back for another class sometime.

Andrew Herther: Really fun date night and new experience! Would love to go back!

Donna Ray: Has the best web layout of work..cannot wait to visit

Andrea Ropella: Kevin Caufield is a fantastic potter who has been practicing for over 30 years. His work is beautiful, varied, and durable. I have a large mug I got from Caufield Clay Works almost 6 years ago and it still serves me well today. On top of the product, there are the classes. If you're looking for something fun, you have to try his wine and pottery class.

Kaycee: It was a great experience. I would do it again if it weren't so expensive. Make sure to look for the Groupon.

Pig's Eye Pottery: what do users think?

Dawn Theis: Amazing time! He was so friendly and helpful!! I would go back in a heartbeat!!

Julie and Troy Anderson: What a perfect activity for a group! Schedule a pottery class with your family for Mother’s Day, for a bachelorette party, girls night out, or couples activity! There’s no circumstance that wouldn’t be perfect for a night being entertained and taught by Jason! Can’t wait to come back!

Faith Tholkes: Jason was great! He made the learning experience enjoyable and fun. Highly recommend!

Steve Ryan: Jason was fantastic and super fun!!!

Scott Schmieg: Great time hanging with Jason!!!!

Julie Bunch: The class at Pig's Eye Pottery was so fun! Jason is a great teacher and he made sure that everyone in the class was successful and had a great time. I would highly recommend the class! He also has a beautiful gallery that I am looking forward to shopping when I stop by to pick up our completed items. 10 out of 10!!

Dan Peck: I’ve been twice now and our whole group had a blast both times. Jason is excellent at putting everyone at ease and creating a fun environment where people are comfortable messing up and trying again. None of us had any ceramics experience, and he did a great job helping us know what to expect and provided the perfect amount of guidance while still letting us take the lead and try things out on our own. Excited to come back soon!

Ellen Lissick: Jason made us feel like pro pottery spinners. He was patient, funny and a great teacher! Thank you Jason so much for making my moms birthday a great one and for putting up with us!

Meghan Moore: Phenomenal experience, Jason did an excellent job teaching us and creating a fun environment. We will definitely be back!

Shane Flaherty: My family and I had a great time at Jason’s class! Most of us have never done pottery before and he made everything very approachable and fun. He was very hands on and helpful while also cracking jokes and making sure we were having a blast. Would definitely come back and highly recommend!

Madeline Stein: We had the absolute best time doing a 2 hr pottery class here! Instructor was fantastic and everyone walked away with pieces they’re excited about + want to come back to do it all again soon. Highly recommend.

Hollie Sookhai: Super fun evening throwing pottery @ Pigs Eye Pottery! I’d highly recommend taking a class with Jason!

Heather Baldwin: Amazing! The company that I work for hosted a staff party at Pig's Eye and it was fabulous! Jason is so personable and professional; he's a great instructor and made pottery accessible to our large group of people with varying skill levels. The space is beautiful and the artwork, ceramics and jewelry by Jason and other local artists was stellar. I bought a really cool piece by Jeralyn, one of the artists whose awesome work is on display and I had to stop myself at one piece. Thank you, Jason, for such a cool experience!

Antalicia Gray: when I say that you want to take a class with Jason! He is super patient, super hospitable, great with customer service and the list goes on. I’d always wanted to do a pottery class before and this was my first time. I felt like I left with a couple of skills for next time and even as a Type A, I was totally able to enjoy the imperfections simply by how Jason teaches. This was the best way to spend my birthday and I will definitely be coming back!

Annabelle Maryrose: Jason was Super nice and really supportive! Was the best idea for a birthday celebration! Would recommend to anyone!

Leah Klein: We had an amazing time at Pigs Eye Pottery! We had a holiday party here for our staff of 8 people and it was so so amazing! The perfect activity but it really wouldn’t have been the same without Jason! He did such an amazing job welcoming our staff and making this truly an unforgettable experience!

Brian Bergstrom: . I am a "maker." I find great joy in working g with a new medium, and if I like it, it becomes another hobby. If it doesn't fit, it's still a skill. Over the last months, ceramics has been on my list. Last week, I ventured the 11 miles west to the store and decided to check it out. I must admit that going into a specialty shop like this can be intimidating for an absolute novice, but the staff were wonderful! On my first visit, I grabbed a couple of blocks of 2 different clay varieties that were suggested and headed home.Today, I went back for round 2. It's still a little intimidating being so green, but I saw Espen at the counter again today and was welcomed back. I spent the better part of an hour chatting, exploring, learning, and sharing different experiences and felt so happy to have this crew and these resources at hand! For the couple of people who have left reviews of unpleasant experiences, I would say this... The staff at CC are kind and caring. They are working hard to meet the demand. No one has malicious intent. Let's offer grace over criticism. And there you have it! I'm a prime example of a

We started with a Mystery Art Night where we made coiled clay pots, and continued with beginning watercolor painting. We’ve had a blast learning watercolor and it’s become my wife’s new favorite hobby. Looking forward to many years ahead participating in classes here!See you there!!

Mystery Mystery: Excellent. Love it!

Jennifer Ketcham: Cute house. Definitely needs more space for classes and events. Storage space for staff seemed to be lacking. The property is very pretty.

The Art Academy: what do users think?

Barbara Mundahl: The Art Academy has taught me so much about art and myself. Their tenet is that making good art is not about talent, but about patience and persistence. I completely trust the instructors and the process. I wish I had discovered the Art Academy sooner! I absolutely love being there.

Heather Chandler: The art academy is an amazing place! I feel so lucky to have found this home away from home. The owners are wonderful and they have taught me so much about art. I love going there and the welcoming environment feels like home!

Gracie Borell: Personally speaking, the Art Academy has brought a lot of growth and meaning to my life. I have seen my art grow with the encouragement from the instructors who truly care about each and every one of their students. They remember students from over 20 years ago and have nothing but kind, inspirational memories of them which is truly remarkable. The teaching style incorporates traditional methods of learning art with the philosophy that art is learnable and anyone who wants to do it can.The school has many connections and often brings in working artists who have made careers for themselves. The Art Academy breaks down the commonly held belief that art is not a viable career. Students at every level have the opportunity to meet peers who will push them in a positive way. I would recommend the art academy to parents curious art student alike, it will really improve your art in all ways possible.

Megan Robinson: I've really enjoyed taking classes here over the years. I started many years ago, as a kid, and then started back up during Covid. I was so happy to find something to do remotely and I've continued classes ever since. Jim is a fantastic teacher! He's patient and has a great eye. These classes can teach anyone to draw. I've had people in my classes just learning the basics, up to master oil painters. It's a diverse bunch of people all learning and having fun together. I would highly recommend to anyone interested in art!

Joel Rogness: approach to art instruction: proscribed and restrained. Perhaps your ten year old would thrive with this contemplative, staid approach to art; ours did not.

Kristine M.: I'd give them more stars if I could. This is art taught as the masters were taught. It is slow, a bit tedious and challenging but your skill will undoubtedly increase as long as you put in the work. This no quicky paint and sip that will leave you with a canned canvas at the end of the night. Nor is it Bob Ross or Sarah from Let's Make Art. Those things are the fast fashion of art classes. This is true study art. After the first term, which has a set progression of projects, you decide what direction or discipline you want next. While I am an adult learner the majority of their classes are for kids and teens, the methodology is adapted to be age appropriate. I cannot recommend The Art Academy enough.

Beth Reilly: Great teachers that teach fundamentals of art.

T Michael Rock: Good teacher and resources to inspire your inner artist.

guk guk: Are the teachers nice/patient?

Robert Noirjean: Excellent way to learn how to draw and paint! Very nice owners/instructors.

Steven Theiss: This place is magic! Jim and Sarah are great art instructors for both youths and adults at all levels.

Ann Knuttila: I love the philosophy at The Art Academy: anyone can draw or paint, it just takes teaching the proper skills and practice, which is exactly what we found at their classes. My 6YO and 8YO get excited every week to come to class and have taken away some great best practices in just a few short weeks. They are learning skills that will forever build their artistic confidence. Everyone at The Art Academy is extremely kind and welcoming. We can’t wait to sign up for more classes!

Lacey: My 7 year old has not missed a session with The Art Academy since he turned age 5. He loves the format and gets so excited about his projects! It is a wonderful experience to have found instruction with a focus on quality over quantity, even with kids starting as young as Kindergarten.

Mary Trojack: Myself and three of my children take classes at The Art Academy. The quality of the instruction is phenomenal. The program itself is the result of years of careful research into the history and technique of painting and drawing. The classes will give you a profound respect for the great masters, and the tools to imitate them. The teachers are warm and encouraging in helping you reach your artistic goals. I have highly recommend this school to my friends and family.

Andrew Short: I've been going to The Art Academy since I was 7, I'm now 22. I've had 15 years of great memories some of which include being an instructor there. The Art Academy has given me confidence in my drawing and painting. If you stick with it you'll learn tons. Honestly I'm still learning new things with every class.
