Textile Center: what do users think?

Erin Johnson: All the employees have been fabulous. Very helpful with any questions. I am a new member and get updates on classes and special guests at the center. Lots of classes to expand my love for fiber arts. I've found the library very useful.

Leah Honsey: Classes are fun, the art is inspiring and unique. The show changes frequently so it's a great destination for frequent visits. I like that the gift shop has kits for beginners that are reasonably priced so myself or kids can try new things like felting, knitting, dying. Lots of great books too. And really friendly staff

Tori Wensloff: An absolute dream for all fiber artists, young and old, novice and experienced! So many beautiful pieces of art and fun events. A lovely community, I always leave feeling so inspired!

elana danowit: I am so grateful for the opportunity to share my experience tonight. I had the most incredible time. It was definitely worth the trip. The lovely woman in the gift shop was so welcoming, and helpful, she made the entire experience interactive and I appreciate that! It was a meaningful trip, that really sparked my creative juices and an invitation where the community can come together peacefully and experience incredible art. It's a hidden gem and I definitely recommend everyone stop in at least once in life. If you have any reservations sign up for their newsletter via email. It definitely was the reason I was so adamant about finally making it in after so many years of meaning to, but not making the time! Thank you all for the incredible work you provide!

Lily Keire: Many creative minds are abuzz at this clean, cozy, welcoming fiber arts center. You feel you could reach your potential here--take classes, get inspired by the art and goods on display, take a seat and reflect on the quiet glory of real art. Definitely worth a visit. Largest textile library in the USA. Membership includes the option to check books & tools out.

Sarah Kurtz: Such cool art there and an amazing gift shop!

Paula Vanecek: We had a delightful visit to the Textile Center today! The exhibit was inspiring and the workers were very friendly and helpful. We excitedly shared the Center's information with a very creative 16 yr old granddaughter who is a designer/seamstress who is eager to join and get her hands on the dying lab!

Rob Graham: We took our students for a tye dying class and had a blast! Our instructors were so friendly, informative and helpful! I can't wait to go back for more sometime, and want to check out their awesome gift shop!

Renay Leone: Loved it!

Dustin Lindberg: The art gallery sells good art and everyone should go check it out sometime.

Anna Aquino: great shop, nice people, excellent prices! found some sick yarn

The Workshop Mpls: what do users think?

Ellie Ervin: . The whole process was made easy and fun by the fantastic staff at the Workshop!

Michaela Chorn: I love this place!!!!

Ambria: Lily was such a cool instructor. I will definitely be back!

Mikey Abrenica: Have done 2 classes and both experiences were great. I thought the value for the price was fantastic and my instructors were helpful. Will be taking another class in the winter!

Ben Sibley (Doug): Nice people, neat workplace, positive vibes. Also affordable classes and kiln firing services.

Ella :3: Awesome enviorment, super cool + her kid is super cool 10/10

tin can: amazing staff, great stuff, super cool, love it

Betty Lotterman: I had a lot of fun at my first ceramics class.

Hadija Steen Mills: Great place and great folks.

Brittany R. Ritchart: Wonderful staff and fun environment.

Greg Kellogg: Great place to learn how to create with clay! They have implemented a great safety plan into their learning structure so that everyone can learn the joys of pottery! The facility is clean and well organized. The tools used are disinfected after each class/usage. Everybody and their work stations are well spaced out. The instructors are very knowledgeable and skilled in this art form. I would highly recommend this studio for a beginner like me. Not everything thrown comes out as planned but it's such a challenging yet rewarding process to learn.

Lawrence MacAlpine: I love what Jennie is doing for the community. I love the vibe and purpose of this studio. The talent here is on point. If you want to learn ceramics, this is THE place in south MPLS.

David Wittman: Great place. Good atmosphere. Dedicated staff and instructors. Classes offered at a variety of times. Worth a stop if you're interested in throwing a pot on a wheel or just looking to buy some high quality products.

Kelli Klein: If you feel the slightest interest in throwing clay and trying your creative side, GET IN HERE. Supportive, friendly, casual and therapeutic. Release the artist in you! The single star ratings are uninformed. It's called The Workshop - not the Gift Shop. If "walk-ins" feel unnoticed, it's because everyone is deeply immersed in the gratifying exercise of creating - which, if I'm not mistaken, is the primary goal of the space.

Catherine Easler: the store is fantastic. everthing you need for creative fun kids play or adult hobby. lise is always helpful and kind.

Lisa S: Such a local gem. It is my daughters & I favorite place for a day just the two of us. Lisa is such a wealth of artistic information, and all the crafts are genuine, simply sourced and honest in materials.

Jodi Miller: I took my daughter to Heartfelt a couple of times when she was 2. I was a little nervous because crafting with a 2 year old can be tricky, especially in public. We made pumpkin homes for a peg-gnome that we also made there. We so thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, both times. It was so much fun playing with her with it and even after that pumpkin rotted, we still kept the gnome and tree bark bed we made. The thing though that I most took away from Heartfelt was how to craft with a toddler. Making the pumpkin home and watching the staff’s instruction to a young audience, and how they handled the kids and their parents as well as seeing how you could use pieces of nature to make really neat things was beyond inspirational. I will always remember Heartfelt for these experiences I gained. I could see shopping there for project ideas/supplies for a adult without kids too.

Drew Jaeger: Fantastic place!

Jean E: I learned something new about what glass is made out of. I honestly didn't know. It was a wonderful experience! It was very hot, so do not wear long sleeves.

Danielle Boufford: My husband had gifted me the paper weight class for my birthday. It was so much fun! While it looks intimidating, the instructor Carla, helps with every step and makes it very easy to create and have fun. I will definitely be signing up for other classes with them!

Brian Boufford: Carla was a great teacher. We had a lot of fun making the paper weight.

Jessica A: My nephew has been going to Summer camp at Foci for six years now. He loves it and always brings back cool pieces. Thank you!

Kirk Hellweg: We took the Pumpkin glass blowing discovery class. This class was just the right amount of hands-on working with the glass, and the instructor helping, so that the end product didn't look like a kindergarten art project. In fact, what we got to take home is a very nice glass pumpkin which we can definitely say we had a hand in making. Carla was a great instructor, as well as being very friendly and entertaining. Overall, it was a great experience, and we might return to really learn the intricacies of glass-blowing.

Minnesota Center For Book Arts: what do users think?

Deborah C: Truthfully, I visited because I heard about the gift shop from social media and was blown away. The shop features a ton of local artists, and artists from marginalized communities. They have a huge selection of zines, prints, and greeting cards. I ended up getting four greeting cards and two stickers, but I would've absolutely gone home with more if my bank account allowed for it.

Osman Bayram: Great peoples 👍

Greta Casey: Great makerspace for book artists, library, gathering place for writers, and a nice little gift shop. Added bonus: Milkweed Press!

Jens Holmboe: This place is the best. I have been there twice with my classes and, as a teacher, the experience for the kids is superb.

Chelsey S: Wonderful workshops available from passionate artist professionals. Once you have some experience with the techniques and equipment you can sign up for open ‘lab’ or commit to renting studio time.I attended Marbling 1 workshop with Michelle Blodgett and found it well taught..and the form very addicting!

Seesaw Ching: Love it

Max Schaffer: This place is totally incredible, got an amazing print here I’ve cherished for years and there’s awesome resources for learning all sorts of amazing art styles!

Justin Lee Miller: The best cafe in the neighborhood. Gift shop is nice. Ironically, they don't carry stationary. I guess no one writes letters but me.

Angela Zhang: The set up is very creative and very very nice. The shop is full of trinkets for bookworms and artists. The little zine exhibit there during my visit was great.

rod mason: Printing, typesetting, other book arts

Marti Simmons: Lots of artists and book binders at work. Great store if you love paper and paper arts!

Malcom is a great teacher and this class covered a lot of skills in the time we had. We learned about the torch and gathering glass and did some blowing and sculpting. His teaching style of watching him and then us doing it helped us repeat the steps each time with starting the torch up and shutting it down. Great job Malcom we will be back!

Articulture: what do users think?

Bill Horn: Summer camps are wonderful. Very engaging for our non-joiner little one.

Tony Dallas: Fun for whole family!!!Great prices.

Meghan Lin: and then decorated. Our only issue is finding space for all her creations, lol, we hadn't fully thought through that aspect of it when she said she wanted to do art camp all summer. She loves it though, they keep her very engaged, one teacher played Mad Libs games that she loved, and they go outside to the playground a lot. I really want to sign up for some adult classes now, her projects look so fun!

Brandi Leder: My daughter has done 4 different summer camps here and they have all been great! As far as keeping the kids safe during covid they seem to be doing a great job. If someone isn't wearing their mask properly they help them adjust it. Which is more than I can say about other camps.

Nina: Articulture is amazing! Providing artistic opportunities all while supporting local artist! The executive director Liz is an amazing spirit! Everyone here including the retail comittee are awesome. You can find unique items at the gift shop and they provide basic art supplies too!

Yannis Da Greek: Great non-profit with really dedicated people carrying for everyone.

Sara Boutros: A great non-profit organization with lots of great classes for adults and your kiddos!

Ellie Leonardsmith: Fantastic, open ended classes. My kid had a blast!

Samantha: I had a great time making art! There was also a sweet, sweet dog there that deserves 5/5 on her own.

Zoe Olson: My 5 year old took 2 weeks worth of art classes in the summer of 2017 and loved it!

Adeel Ahmad: We've done 3 camps here so far this summer and have one more to go. My five year-old has been loving it and I highly recommend it. We've been doing half-days but I would easily recommend full days.At the end of each week I'm amazed at how much they produced during the week, even doing half-days which usually include snack and walk outside. The topics of each camp are extremely diverse and I had a hard time narrowing down to just the four weeks that we needed. Prices are very reasonable for what you get, which is excellent teachers, excellent staff and excellent curriculums.

Caufield Clay Works: what do users think?

Morgan S: Took a “wine and pottery” class and it was so fun! They gave great direction and were willing to help along the way. It was fun to have time at the end to decorate our pottery.

Dan Tull: , but relieved that with excellent instruction and guidance

Theresa Mensinger: Excellent experience! Fun, educational, engaging and you get a vase at the end. Loved it!

Timothy Gallivan: Lucy did a great job teaching us how to make things w/clay. Fun time. A Christmas gift for our family. 🙂

Deino: Awesome studio! Doug and Lucy went above and beyond in instructing us. Will definitely come back!

Selene De Luna: It was an amazing experience. I had so much fun learning.

Karly H (Exploring the lakes!): Came here with a small group. It would be super cool for a group of people to come and learn how to spin clay. Overall a fun atmosphere. Would recommend coming here with a group and being artsy.

Jessica Heasley: Finally got our group pottery class booked and it was a great experience! Doug was a wonderful teacher who helped and encouraged us through our first experience throwing clay on a wheel. We haven't seen the finished products yet, but I'm sure that we will enjoy using them.

Arthur Tran: Came here for their Valentine’s Day class and couldn’t have a better experience! The owner and Doug were very insightful all throughout! Doug was great and able to show us the basics and the owner gave us these Polaroids to top it off!Definitely recommend for anyone looking to try something new!

Ash Bernhardt: Went here for their valentine's class, it felt solidly social distanced and was a lot of fun! Doug was great, and helped us make pieces we're happy with.

Jenna Lory: Very enjoyable! Thank you, Lucy!

Jeannie McCarver: Wow, just wow! We decided tosplurge on pottery dishes and we couldnot be more pleased- Kevin worked w us on designs and the dishes are absolutely stunning and exactly what we wanted. We also did a family pottery class and it was a blast.

Shannon Lo: I honestly think that the price is a too high for the quality of the entire class.

Chris Marshall: Utilized a Groupon for an introductory class with my 15 year old daughter. Casual, fun studio! Easy to follow instructions but years to master the art of "throwing clay"! We had a great time and will definitely go back to create more clay works of art!

Sarah J: Had a great time at pottery class, which was taught by Kevin. He is very knowledgeable, but not overbearing with giving instructions. Just went and picked up my pieces and they turned out great. I’d definitely come back for another class sometime.

Andrew Herther: Really fun date night and new experience! Would love to go back!

Donna Ray: Has the best web layout of work..cannot wait to visit

Andrea Ropella: Kevin Caufield is a fantastic potter who has been practicing for over 30 years. His work is beautiful, varied, and durable. I have a large mug I got from Caufield Clay Works almost 6 years ago and it still serves me well today. On top of the product, there are the classes. If you're looking for something fun, you have to try his wine and pottery class.

Kaycee: It was a great experience. I would do it again if it weren't so expensive. Make sure to look for the Groupon.

Rock Paper Scissors Goods: what do users think?

Luis R: First of all, the name is amazing! It was one of the best stops we made in Minneapolis. Great use of the space, very clean and well organized. The customer service was fantastic. There was a wonderful selection of records. They had steals in the sales section. We probably bought more than what we expected.

Meghan Heitkamp: I love this shop, and it's run by the most amazing people! Tes is always so kind and thoughtful, whether I'm attending an art class or just trying to put in a curbside pickup order. I couldn't recommend Rock Paper Scissors enough!

Michael Sullivan: This place is a gem. They moved from 48th and Chicago a while back and the space is bright and airy. Records, new and used take up about a third of the shop. Clothing, cards, jewelry and a mish mash of other items combine to create an excellent bohemian boutique. Visit often.

Adam Twardowski: So many awesome gifts and collectibles. Did a lot of my holiday shopping here. Truly a wonderful neighborhood gem.

Michael Nelson: Just stopped in yesterday and what am awesome shop! I have been browsing their inventory on Discogs and finally made it in. They held a vinyl for me all day till I was able to make it in. Awesome employees and chill vibed!

I’ve taken several of their art classes and also had my sons art class birthday party here. So happy to have a this awesome little shop in my neighborhood. I’m definitely doing my holiday shopping here.

Charlie Hall: Awesome place to visit. A nice and very well labeled vinyl section. New and used. Lots of fun for kids too. It's nice to have a one one one customer/owner experiance.

Bill “MNPCTECH” Owen: The best selection of new and used Records I've found in South Minneapolis. Co-owner, Jason Hughes is very helpful and insightful. If he doesn't have it in stock, he will try and get it for you. Highly Recommended.

Jenny Pflughoeft: , art and apparel. Shop owner Jason was so friendly and made the space welcoming. So glad to have this unique shop in my neighborhood.

Jordan Hogness: Awesome record, art, and gift space! Selection of merchandise, including art and records, very well curated. Will be sure to return.

Elizabeth Leming: Cooking classI took a cooking class. It was a lot of fun, but we cooked in groups, so it was hard to have a turn at everything. I either felt like I was taking over or missing out.The groups were of six for those classes, so if you have that many you can be your own group.

Digs: what do users think?

Drake Friesen: Awesome boutique shop!

Laura Olson: I checked out a few fabric stores that day.....this was the most unique.....reminded me of the shops in Stillwater. Good quality fabrics and unique gift store.

Cole Sarar: Great little sewing/crafting/gift shop. I’ve gotten all sorts of basic sewing needs here- zippers, wonder clips, buttons, etc. lots of vintage goods too.

Mind Yobiz: This place is less than a mile from where I live, I went there looking for some fabric to make some panels for my walls. Boy oh boy was I stunned by the selection, every color, tons of patterns, stripes, solids, prints and more. Plus the cards, cups, mugs, hand made items, easily the greatest 800 square feet I have walked into ever. All the items are made by individual crafters and not corporations, which makes it all the better.

Mike Gustafson: Hard to make a quick visit. Found cute items for babies. Clever gifts & crafty items for a project. Diverse vintage items too. I 'll be back.

Mariel Goettsch: Wonderful local shop - both for sewing needs and handmade gifts! One woman show💁‍♀️ always helpful and personable.

Susanne Bushman: This is one of my favorite little spots in Minneapolis! Tons of cute new and vintage gifts and goodies to look at, a nice selection of crafting tools, and delightful fabric

Colleen Clish: Charming selection of fabrics, cards, crafts, and vintage items.

Lucy Ross: Such a fun shop! We spent far too much time goofing around in here. Really wonderful staff. Lots of unique trinkets, old pictures, fabric, jewelry, and these surprise jars that had my group so excited to come back. Really a cheerful spot, whimsical but well organized. Lots going on in there! Fun spot to stop and spend time in.

Michael Waldegerma: Great neighborhood shop to visit for kitchenware, candles,al and other items both vintage and locally crafted. Most of the space seems to be fabrics but I don't know enough to comment.

M S: The cutest little store, and a favorite place to buy earrings, fabric, cute gifts for new babies, bday cards, and other fun things for home!

Rebecca Darling: Um, I spent an hour in this store and I could have spent more. Excellent fabric selections, including some pretty unique fabric at good prices. Staff was helpful without being in your biz. Probably not a great store to bring little kids cause there's a million wonderful tiny things to touch. Plus you'll miss all the cool stuff.Visit. Buy fabric and yarn. Shop local!

Kelly U: Such a fun store! They have wonderful unique gifts and a great yarn and fabric selection. Their boutique yarn is very reasonably priced. Will definitely go back!

Michaels: what do users think?

Boss Lady: Gorgeous store with lots of good prices. I love that they have self checkout.

Amber Dubois: Very polite!! You guys helped me reclaim my water bottle!

Mathew Lauer: We didn’t know what we were doing and needed assistance but Maggie was super kind and made us feel like we weren’t a bother. Love this store! The staff are helpful and things are always in stock.

Zo Hz: I went in for a pick up order and saw the store had a larger discount for a single item than the discount I got online. I asked if it was possible to return my online pick up order and get the better discount and they took the time to figure it out for me! Special thanks to Ira and Zach! This has been my go-to Michaels for years, some items might be cheaper elsewhere but the discounts often make up for it on larger items

Phillip Jarosz: Good service & prices

Janie Lee Perlinger: its a great place for quick crafts but I personally prefer Hobby lobby

Charles Simmons: Had exactly what I wanted

Kenya Fair: I never really understood why Michael’s don’t sell fabric that’s a part of all crafts kind of but not this place was nice. They got a young staff that I don’t think ever done any crafty very much but it’s a nice clean place.

Pam Johnson: N8ce staff and clean organized store.
