I hope it's temporary, this was my Wednesday lunch spot.First time here and now a life long customer. The prices are amazing and the food if superb for what you pay for. I walked in spending less then 9$ to get a sandwich fries and a drink. The staff were very nice; decore is dated but with good comfort food, who cares.Enjoy burgers, euros, salads or dinner items like ribeye steak and cake slices.I was blown away; I thought it was going to be adequate food and higher prices but damn if I won't be back again soon.

Davis Zackaria: Incredible setting with amazing service… loved the part where they show different meat cuts and the size they are serving!!Ordered Double Porterhouse, Roasted Bone Marrow, Sautéed Mushrooms, Glazed Sprouts, and creamed garlic spinach among three people. The portion was filling and the meat was juicy and super delicious.
Grace Berg: Located in the W Hotel and first floor of the Foshay Tower, liked the location. The room is one big room with tables everywhere almost shoved together so it gets really loud, lots of business and big group dinners.Steak lacked flavor overall, I would return but because of the steaks but the apps and sides. Great service, attentive, more than helpful and went above and beyond for us.Great sides, loaded hash browns are monstrosities and had enough to feed everyone and then some. Also fair selection of desserts that were also sharing size - everything is jumbo it seems. Full bar menu and tons of options.
Kinkel Kinkel: Lamb chops were large and melt in your mouth amazing. Highly recommend the truffle fries and asparagus for sides.Easily some of the best cheesecake I've had.
Ops Doctor: The experience is pure top line steakhouse. The atmosphere is perfect. The staff are fabulous. Portions are giant. The key lime pie was big enough for 3. Potatoes were delish. Pie among the best I've had. The Manny's Manhattan was very good. The disappointment was the steak. It was not on par with a premier steakhouse. Not as favorable or juicy as it should have been. Plus, it had a lot of gristle. This is a 200 a plate or more place.

Sue: Perfect for a birthday celebration! Husband and I each had the large filets, son had double porterhouse and they were all perfectly done. Service was friendly and excellent. Sides of loaded mashed potatoes and mushrooms were good for 3 people and we had a little extra.Decadent Bailey’s cake available for son’s birthday, which was perhaps the best dessert ever. Staff made the occasion seem festive and special without drawing attention of other guests, which we really appreciated.Parking: Valet available for a fee, plus several ramps available within 1-2 blocks.
Jack Miller: This place is great, my wife and I were in from our of town to celebrate our anniversary and from the moment you enter the front door to the moment you exit, the customer service is absolutely phenomenal. I've been to the oceanaire for seafood, I've been to Murrays for steaks. Here I got the lobster tail and the dry aged ribeye, in my opinion both courses beat the oceanaire and Murrays. Yes, you're going to have to open your wallet up for this experience, but I promise it's worth it. The lobster tail was fantastic and the steak was excellent.. overall this place is a 9.5/10. The only thing that held it back for me is the bone marrow, I wasn't upset at the price of anything except for that item, for what you pay you get very little. The apple wood smoked bacon is fantastic, I highly recommend that for an appetizer. The cocktails are great, yes expensive, but they're loaded. The customer service? Phenomenal, best experience I've had anywhere. The waiter was knowledgeable, excited, and friendly. I've never seen steak sold before, this place does it and it's one of the best parts of the experience. Overall fantastic place for a special occasion. We will be back!

Jorea Fleurant: The food is amazing, Nikki, Pyra, and Ramona were all so kind to me, they work hard and give Fogo such a good presentation and vibe the service is always good, the lamb Chops medium well were absolutely delicious.. the staff need raises they work hard and always under pressure from other rude customers..I watched these 3 ladies stay professional and handle things very well up front.. Fogo should hire more like them.. I love this place..

Davis Zackaria: This is a very elegant and awesome place to go for dinner. The atmosphere and service was incredible!Ordered Red lake Walleye, Chateaubriand, and creamed spinach. Loved the fish and the meat cut was juicy and delicious. Great experience!
Shawn Myers: Overall I would would say it's crossed off my list of places to go. I had a filet mignon and it was cooked as ordered. To be honest it did not seem anymore flavorful or any better than Texas Roadhouse. I had the potato au gratin and those were nothing special either. I am glad I didn't go with the mashed potatoes because someone else in our group did and they looked dried out with a crunchy heat lamp topping. The other 2 couples in our group all 4 had to have something fixed with their meat orders. The waiter was nothing special but the people that cleared the tables and poured the water did a great job. I would give them 5 stars but the actual guy serving the food 1 star.

Jasmine Yang: My boyfriend and I were celebrating our anniversary and they honored it by giving us a free dessert and decorating our table for the occasion! We felt so cared for and our server, Ryan, was such a goofy and helpful server! The prices were high but it reflects the quality of the food! Tip: the bone marrow butter with my steak was not my favorite but if you like sweeter tasting things then go for it! Will definitely try the black truffle butter for next time. It was our first time there, and we will definitely be back. Totally recommend coming here!
Chris White: My wife, a friend, and I had the pleasure to dine at the Chophouse in April 2024 while attending a conference in Minneapolis. I'm not sure I have ever had all my expectations met at any restaurant, which I think is pretty normal. Almost no one ever hits every mark, which is ok and expected. But, this place absolutely did hit every mark.The ambiance was upscale, but perfectly retro, giving it that old school steakhouse vibe. The place was impeccably clean, and the restrooms equally perfect. Our waitress, I am sorry I can't remember her name, was the most knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive waitress I have had the pleasure to meet.The menu could not have been more thoughtfully prepared, with an appropriate level of offerings, each of which were well presented, and the food for all three of us, each ordering different types of steak offerings, was perfectly prepared and wonderful to taste. You may know by now, but my wife and I are black angus beef producers in Tennessee, so steak is something we know a little bit about.Last but not least, the wine list was most impressive I've seen in a very long time with many listed wines that are almost never offered in lesser but otherwise fine dining establishments. The manager checked on us at least twice and was very personable as well. This place was over the top and I felt it needed to be said.Dietary restrictions: I do not have dietary restrictions, but I noticed several vegan and vegetarian options on the menu.Wheelchair accessibility: The construction is ADA compliant throughout.

Heather Hammerstad: We walked in and my first impression wasn’t great. The manager was short and standoffish. But our waiter Aj more than made up for it. He was AMAZING. Funny, knowledgeable, patient and very welcoming. He brought out all the meat and explained what each one was and how they’re prepared. We had the A3 Wagyu ribeye, hashbrowns and scalloped potatoes. It was all great. The hashbrowns were crispy and flavorful. The scalloped potatoes had an amazing breading and cheese. The wagyu was melt in your mouth. This is our new favorite place for getting a ribeye. Thanks Aj for a memorable night.

T Jordan: Rhett was our server and he was great! Very friendly and attentive. There was never a moment where are glasses were empty he was always there for refills. He answered any questions that we had for him. This was the best service we had during our Minneapolis trip. The food was 10/10 of course very flavorful and came out very quickly. Highly recommend coming in and ask for Rhett to be your server, he was that good!
Nancy Nan: I came to this place by myself for a national conference. The overall experience was awesome! I booked a bar place since I am on my own but they were flexible about siting me at one of the table when the bar was full. The food I ordered were amazing. I ordered spicy shrimp, grilled sprouts, and classic brûlée! They taste amazing. One of the bar tenders are so nice to check on me frequently and make me feel like I am not alone. I like it so much! I will definitely recommend it!

Justin Smith: with dry ice and palm leaves and like 10 cherries. My old fashioned was excellent and honestly a great value, drank it throughout the whole meal easily. Only weird thing here is they apparently intentionally don't put a cherry into the old fashioned - something I've not seen before - but we're happy to provide them upon my request.Nikki, our server, was exceptional the whole time. Great conversation, able to have fun and laugh with us. We really appreciated her attention to our table throughout which was the perfect balance of there without being intrusive while we chatted.Food order was filet mignon of course for most of us, and 2 of us took Nikkis advice and got the surf and turf which upgraded the meal with two scallops. Steaks were ofcourse exceptional, great bark and perfect inside. Scallops were good, but we thought the Bernaise was kinda out of place on them. Maybe it could have been served on the side? Not a deal breaker but something to consider. My son got a steak salad, which he orders everywhere, and it looked and apparently ate fantastically. He devoured it. We also got sides of asparagus with hollandaise, grown up mac, and mushrooms. All fantastic, the mushrooms for an individual portion were monstrous and able to he shared easily. Other sides were great, asparagus was awesome and huge!End of the meal came, and Nikki comes out with a giant placing of chocolate lava cake, and Happy Birthday wishes across the whole thing. Kids devoured it like vultures and said it was amazing.Whole experience start to finish was exceptional and a true testament to Pittsburgh Blue. My wife and I had been several times, but taking the kids for the first time was magic. Not sure it could have been more perfect and kids are all saying they want to come back for their birthdays. Thank you to everyone here for such an awesome time.

My very resistant sister even liked it! 🙂👍We enjoyed salads that were fresh and delicious. My sister ordered a glass of red wine 🍷that the server recommended. She really enjoyed it. I tasted it and liked it too. I am not typically a red wine drinker.We each got the queen size prime rib that was massive. The horseradish sauce was a perfect accompaniment to the prime rib. Each order was cooked to perfection.One note, people at the next table ordered the fish options which also looked and smelled amazing. The restaurant seems to have something for everyone.We also ordered the Brussels sprouts, mushrooms and the Asparagus with hollandaise. I recommend these. Kent Kramer: We haven't eaten at a Best Steak house in years, as most have closed. We came across this little gem in St. Paul and were beyond pleasantly surprised! Steaks were tender, juicy, cooked perfectly, and bursting with flavor. With 2 large pieces of steak each, baked potatoes, side salad, and 2 Texas Toast each, we ate until full and took enough home for 2 more meals! Great folks behind the counter and a menu packed with options. The total price for 2 was about what we'd have paid for 1 meal at any other steakhouse. We'll definitely be back!

Joseph Spitzmueller: JDs is great. Wonderful food and drinks, and wonderful people. Perfect way to start an evening before a Twins game or show. Valet service is a no brainer. Love the buddy bowl with grilled catfish. Steaks are awesome too. Pat, Annie, Jodi, Elaina, Erick, junior, Jim and the rest of the friendly crew provide wonderful service. You’ll leave happy.
Jay Turner: JD Hoyt is the epitome fine dining! The food is amazing! Whether you choose Fresh and juicy salmon, or a thick mouth watering steak, you will be impressed with the detail in which they put into your meal! They have a great selection of white/red wine to enjoy with your lunch or dinner. The appetizers are even delicious! I recommend the cornbread with butter and syrup and the garlic cheese bread with the corn chowder…yes, that’s just an appetizer!!! The environment is classy, romantic, and cozy. This is a place where you can make reservations with your significant other and come dressed up or you can bring the family as it’s also kid friendly. The owner is really nice, he walks the restaurant speaking to patrons and genuinely making sure that you have everything that you need, he will also bring food to your table personally. You’ll be glad you ate here, you’re welcome in advance lol!!!
Philip Gissen: I had a wonderful meal at J.D. Hoyt’s sitting at the raised bar watching the NCAA Women’s semi-final basketball games. Junior was our server/bar keep, and he was as entertaining as the game. J.D. Hoyt’s is an urban supper club that’s as authentic as any of the supper clubs in rural Wisconsin. All the food is good, some dishes better than others, but you will always have enough to eat. Portions are enormous. My Wedge salad was the size of Uranus but tasted much better. The hickory chicken was delicious. J.D. Hoyt’s is not gourmet, innovative, or trendy, but that’s not their objective. They do what they do with aplomb. I’m in Minneapolis once a month, and I will visit J.D. Hoyt’s every time. BTW, if you’re at the bar, ask Junior about Lenny Kravitz. You’ll enjoy the stories.

Mike Boardley: Beautiful, old school, dinner club. The outdoor patio is gorgeous as well. Jax Cafe is a Minneapolis institution. Dinning here harkens back to the days of old where men were men. They wore suits dinner jackets.The food here is quite good as well. My wife got the pork chop and I got the smothered ribeye. Both entrees were delicious and well portioned.On our next visit we plan to try their fish. One reason is you can choose which fish you want from their outdoor stream and pond. You are given a net and can scoop out the one you want.Jax is an excellent place to have a romantic dinner. So if you’re looking for a warm, intimate atmosphere, this is the place. We highly recommend Jax Cafe.
Amelia Strite: Absolutely suburb. I love this place.
Jordan Hermann: If you've never been? Go. Nothing ever changes. It's a time warp. I'm surprised you can't still smoke at Jax. Classic supper club. Ya get yer shrimp cocktail, yer ceasar salad, and a huge slab of prime rib and wash it all down with a Gibson. All served to you by a waitress that's most likely worked there for 30 years and has an old timey name like "Dolores". Or you can always catch your own trout out of the stream on their garden patio, that's always fun.

Ras Kafka: The best thing about M&S is that they are consistently good across all locations that I have visited. When traveling, you don't always want the spendiness of Capital Grille but you also want better food than Maggiano's, this experience fits as a nice option somewhere in between. So when I moved to SW Minneapolis, it was nice to find this location. I would go a lot more but parking is terrible there. That is my only complaint.
The Walkers: The food was excellent, and I'm glad we chose this establishment over the always packed Cheese Cake factory down the street. However, the four stars total was given because of our server. The service was excellent, and he was fairly amusing,but his jargon was a bit uncomfortable for most of us. I am guessing he assumed all minorities spoke a certain way that was quite unsettling. My father helps run a non-profit organization through a group of churches sponsored by the St. Paul police department, and has a band called show me love that performs all over the city, I am currently in the military 24 years strong, my spouse works in federal law enforcement, my mother works at her church and with social services and we definitely presented our selves well, including my sister, nephew, plus my two sons. Even if we didn't have the background or presented ourselves well, there was no excuse, especially when he spoke to other tables in a normal fashion. I didn't include his name and was conflicted about including this in the review because outside of that, the service was impeccable, and we felt he meant well. A lot of these situations occur because, well, meaning people don't receive sensitivity training. Training is necessary to break down and eliminate stereo types as well supports more neutral customer service. Allowing all patrons to receive the same consistent services. ALL THAT SAID.... We had a great time, the food was delicious, and I HIGHLY recommend this place.
Khloe Seo: I dare can say that this is THE best seafood and steak place in Minnesota. Every ingredients are fresh and the foods appear to be cooked just right. I had Parmesan Crusted Flounder and my niece had Fillet Mignon. We are pretty particular with food, yet very satisfied.Kid-friendliness: The service staff was quite friendly and approachable. She appeared very knowledgeable about her menu. I liked her.

Jill LaCroix: This place is simply outstanding! Each dish somehow topped the one before it. The flavors are complex and delicious, and we had a very satisfying meal. Fun atmosphere and a great dining experience. Highly recommend!

Rebecca Costigan: We had a fantastic dinner here for Restaurant Week! They had specials for just this week and I think got to try some fun new dishes. Everything was really tasty: crab Oscar, crispy branzino and a sweet potato turnover for me; merguez sliders, short rib tacos and apple spice cake for my hubby. We thought the sliders were good enough to put on the permanent menu! We will definitely be back to try some of the regular menu. The service was very attentive and decor is lovely - art deco and quite chic.

Ronald Klemz: Stopped in for Happy Hour yesterday for the first time. Baldamar has to be perhaps the BEST Happy Hour in the Twin Cities area! One of the best-ever Old Fashioned, followed by their Mango BBQ Chicken Sandwich - outstanding. Finished with an amazing Sundae! They serve only the best ice cream - - Sebastian Joe's!! Prices were very reasonable! Sat at Bar, and the server was top-notch! Treat yourself!!

Savannah Jade: We've been here a couple times and have had the lobster dinner with au gratin potatoes, the spinach artichoke dip, and bacon wrapped shrimp. The spinach artichoke dip was better than home made!! The shrimp and potatoes were absolutely amazing. I've never had lobster before, so I have nothing to compare it too. It was good but it was more rubbery than I thought it would be. The house specialties are steak though, so we will absolutely be back to try more!! Thee service was amazing and we have always had a lovely time. We did have to park on the street. I am not sure they have a public parking lot.
Eric Almendinger: We went into Bennett's for a date night. and had a good time. My wife got the prime rib and enjoy it. I got the fillet, ordered it medium rare, it came out medium. It didn't matter cuz it tasted Good. Portions were a little small. But we were full and enjoyed the meal. We got a couple martinis which were great! We also got a Long Island and a old fashioned which were made well also. We would definitely go back for a place to hang out, but probably wouldn't go back to get food on this we were looking for more of a bar experience.

Mark Skorupa: Super cool place! Stopped by after a baseball game looking for a late dinner and a drink. It had an old school feel to the place that is a little difficult to describe. Maybe something from the 50's? We sat at the bar and got our dinner order in just before the kitchen closed. The chili was amazing and the Cajon chicken sandwich was pretty good. The drinks and the bartender were also great.
Will DeGraw: A TIE FOR THE NO. 1 SPOT IN THE CITIES TO GET WINGSI have NEVER had poor service at Monte Carlo. I have NEVER had a drink I didn't love. I have NEVER had a wing that I didn't cherish. Yes, I have only ordered the wings at Monte Carlo, but when they're the best, why order anything else!? I'm always looking for another reason to go back. It's a great date spot, too. The vibe is definitely exclusive; not too dark, separated just enough from other guests, and luxurious but not stuffy.
