So anything with a canopy bigger than 5 inches won’t work. We were heartbroken! Thankfully they were willing to let us exchange it.And Karen was incredibly helpful throughout the whole process. She perfectly understood our aesthetic and walked us through the entire online catalog in order to find another chandelier that would work with our beam situation as well as fit with our style. Dee Dee Hill: Amazing fixtures, the home owner Dean Banowetz was beyond excited when they were installed. The fixtures line up perfectly with the counter, they do not overwhelm the space. I’m pretty sure he will be ordering again from Filament.
ejgayosomd: Todd and his employees are the very best. Very large and unique selection of lights. We live in Washington DC and have a summer home in Rehoboth Beach, DE . We have a very large dining room table in our beach home and we needed a a statement piece to really accent our dining room. We sent pictures and dimensions to Todd and he immediately sent us back several potential chandeliers. We chose a beautiful piece that was exactly what we had been looking for. It was shipped and at our front door within 3-5 days. One of the small globes had cracked in transit. We notified Todd and a replacement was shipped the next day. We could not be more happy with the product and customer service. Would highly recommend without reservation. Thanks again Todd and Filament lighting !

BOB PEARSON: Nice to have a store that specializes in only fans. I was served good advice from the owner and set up install with sub contract. They put the fan in the wrong place as I wasn't home to guide, "totally my fault" They both were very congenial in the re-install with no extra charges, which they were entitled to. All is good with these guys and they get a well deserved 5 star review.

Tom V: Can I just say this might be one of the best and honest places left in the world. Buy from this place. I called them to get parts for a Casablanca fan that we LOVE and were sorry to get rid of. Over the phone the owner walked me through how to fix them and did NOT try to sell me unnecessary parts. I will order from them from now on and always moving forward. I love good people and honest people. LOVE THIS PLACE!!!
Jason Kleinman: I’d give 6 stars if I could. Big thanks to Jason and everyone over there in the service department. I have an old Casablanca fan that the local “authorized service center” absolutely destroyed the last time I had it serviced. They cut and spliced wires, cross threaded screws and used an incompatible control unit. After almost giving up on it I sent it in and had them rebuild it with new bearings, flywheel and conversion kit for an updated remote. It’s never worked better and was about 1/3 the price of the last guy who wrecked it.
Marvin Dolin: We ordered a replacement wall remote and receiving unit for a 20 year old Casablanca fan. Upon receiving it and installing it it worked briefly and then stopped. We worked with Jason from Fan Man to diagnose that something probably happened to the wall remote during the install. Jason worked directly with us to ensure nothing else was wrong and then shipped a new wall remote free of charge. We just installed the new wall remote and everything works great! This type of customer service deserves to be mentioned and rewarded.

I gave him the model number, he sent the board and wall switch with instructions and it worked great. 2nd on the same fan the fly wheel fell apart. They had an after market fly wheel, and again he sent the fly wheel and instructions. Like the first time the instructions were easy to follow and now the fan is better than new.If I ever have to buy a new fan or fix an old one, the Fan Man is the business I’ll support. Jack is incredibly knowledgeable and has extensive experience with these fans. He not only diagnosed the issue quickly, but he also provided me with detailed technical information on how to convert the fan to work with my automation. Rick Schuler: I recently purchased an RCK55 receiver and reverse module for my fan. After installing the parts to convert my fan from the old receiver, my fan would not spin in the reverse direction. I spoke with Jason a few times over the phone and he was very knowledgeable and figured out what caused the fan to not work properly. After I changed the wiring configuration to what Jason suggested, everything works perfectly now! Everyone I spoke to at this company was so polite and knowledgeable, plus Jason went above and beyond to help me over the phone!

Linda Herman: happened. Ashley asked if she could call me back after 5:00. Of course. Not only did she call me back after work day, but spent an hour with me asking questions for which I supplied various pictures and explanations. By the end of the call, she had a new sink faucet scheduled for delivery in two days, had identified the parts of the bar shower that she was calling Delta about in the morning, and sent me a parts list for the tub filler with an explanation of how a couple of connections were to be made. I was so grateful! This young lady knows her stuff and gave top notch service. I only hope I can relay all this to the plumber as well as she did to me. Thank you, Ashley!

Tom Wrzos: I recently called and visited Southern Lights and the best word I can use to describe my interaction with them is GRATEFUL. I purchased a couple of items from them about 12 years ago so they really didn't owe me anything and yet they treated me as if I had done a million dollars in business with them. I have a couple of Holtkotter spots that needed reapair so I gave them a call. The person that answered the phone was incredible and she put me in touch with Ryan. Ryan was incredible and so was the other gentleman in the warehouse. While Ryan couldn't repair my spotlight he gave me another option that worked out very well. Thank you very much to every person I talked to and interacted with. THAT is how you excel at customer service.
Russell Boeman: Terrific display of lighting products you won't find in the box stores! And the price range will meet any point on a budget spectrum! This is a must see location if you're looking for anything from utility to high end chandeliers.
