The Knoll Apartments: what do users think?

Minhaj Shahriar: I have been living in various student housings since 2016 in Tampa FL and Minneapolis MN, and I can comfortably say that the current management here at The Knoll is awesome and one of the best two I have ever come across. Especially Brandi is a superstar manager!

Anna Quinn: Love the knoll

Nevra Keskin Yılmaz: I have been living in the Knoll for 2 months but I can say that it is a really nice place to live. I am a post-doc at the U and I am glad that I live in campus.

Elaina Creagan: Maintenance is very good, fixes stuff very fast!

Michelle Langnickel: This is a decent location for University students. I’ve lived here for two years now, and I will say this year it has improved a lot. Overall, it has been a good experience living here this year. I would say to expect a few problems, but the resolutions have been much better and quicker.

Anna Madison: I love living in the knoll! It’s such a great deal for the price we pay!! In my opinion the best “off” campus housing!!! I also LOVE the staff! 🏾

Sydney Beck: I love the environment of the knoll! best place to live

The Edge on Oak: what do users think?

Sydney Regalado: Friendly staff, welcoming environment.

Caroline Brown: Overall not a bad place to live. The apts are fairly nice. The parking garage isn’t the safest though. My roommate’s car was broken into. Most of the staff are pretty nice, especially Molly.

Maria Rohde: Great location and one of my favorite rentals so far. Justin one of the managers was super helpful! Thank you!

Xianyu Chen (Nickname): The overall quality of the Edge is good enough. The staffs are in the building from Mon to Fri, even on weekend, in the current stage. The staffs are also very helpful, especially Alyssa Plunkett.

Zayna Jan: was exceptionally helpful. She made arrangements to help us view the property on a summer weekend when it is usually closed. Once I decided to sign, she was super helpful in working with me for an earlier move-in date for graduate school. Overall, I could not be more excited to live at Edge and it is definitely, in part, due to the leasing office staff!

Sean McLoughlin: I've lived in a couple of spots around the east bank, and it's bar far one of the nicest around. It's never loud, ever. Also, they have a security guard at night for late package delivery and it's a perfect spot for a young professional.

The Rail Apartments: what do users think?

Maggie Sorensen: , so you might want to consider this if you are a light sleeper. However, the cost and management definitely make it worth it! There is a good amount of street parking in the area, so this is a great spot if you have a car and don't want to buy a space.

Anny Vo: I have lived here the past 2 years and they have been amazing! Tara is spectacular!!! She responds super fast to our concerns dealing with maintenance and so much more. She seriously cares for all of us here. The price point is super nice for the size apartments and rooms. Super quiet apartments regarding tenants, the trains can be annoying but you get used to it quickly.

Grace McClure: immediately. This apartment is seriously the best deal in Dinkytown. I cannot recommend enough.

Monica Kalra: Excellent excellent management especially Tara is absolutely wonderful and very helpful!! . Apartments are huge, and clean. Even the maintenance team is so helpful. My daughter dropped her ring in the bathroom sink and they were so helpful to come in and look in the drain for it.

Ashley Kramer: By far the best management you'll find anywhere near the University of Minnesota. I'm in my second year of living here and have only had positive experiences. Large living spaces, something that isn't common in the area. I definitely recommend living here.

Asia Enger: I loved living at the rail. Tara, the property manager, was always so easy to work with and very accommodating. The units are nicely kept and up-to-date. The only problem I had with living at this apartment was the crime in the neighborhood. Unfortunately, The Rail can't do much to control this.

Hailie Hoschka: Loved living at The Rail during my time at the U! Such spacious units and great property management. Any issues we ever had were resolved day of. Couldn’t recommend living here more!

Denise Kirkland: The room are very nice, modern with all the amenities. Great choice college students looking for a lot of space at a reasonable price. The management is very quick to respond and very accommodating.

Zachary Schacherer: Great option for the price! Close to campus and Dinkytown with big rooms, a nice kitchen, amenities, and affordable rent!

Collin Bensen: I really like The Rail. They truly make it feel like a home, especially the management. 10/10 would truly recommend giving The Rail a shot! Currently signing for my second year!

Michael Smith: is always quick to respond with any questions/requests you have. Would 100% recommend to any U of M students.

Isaac Brooks: Love the location, space, and the staff who manages the building does a fantastic job! Would recommend to any student going to the U!

dubbe035 University of Minnesota: I really enjoyed living here for 3 years. The rooms are big for a reasonable price and it is just a block from the 3 line bus stop. Tara is an excellent building manager and I wish she was in charge at my new apartment building.

Meenie Mo: Best landlord ever! I can honestly say I got what I paid for. Spacious enough, clean and relatively quiet. Parking does suck but that's anywhere in Dinky. Get a spot in the garage if you can also Tara is so amazing and friendly. She's very prompt at replying to requests and making sure you get what you need. I felt well taken care of. Def recommend.

WaHu Apartments: what do users think?

Chen Chen: I have been living at WaHu Apartments since August 2018, for almost six years. Although there were general cases of inconvenience, such as some of the other reviews described, my overall experience living at WaHu has been very good. I gave a 4-star rating for WaHu for the following reasons:1. The location of WaHu is very convenient. This is one of the main features that I looked for when comparing the pros and cons of apartments.2. I was lucky enough to be assigned a 4b4b apartment that is at a very good location of the WaHu building. When I first visited the WaHu leasing office to learn about the property, the leasing office staff was very friendly and patient in answering my questions. The room assignment matched my room preference, and the condition of the apartment/unit is very good, thus, I have enjoyed living in the same unit over the years.3. Based on my experience living at WaHu during the years, things usually go well after good communication with the roommates and the leasing office staff members.4. WaHu has full apartment amenities/facilities. Depending on the day, I may prefer to stop by WaHu’s fitness center or go to the University Recreation and Wellness Center. I used to use the study area and the printer at WaHu more often; as I have spent more time in one of the University’s libraries recently, so I don’t have much recent experience using some of the facilities at WaHu.5. WaHu has a good maintenance team. They have always completed my maintenance orders in a timely manner; and the team members are very friendly.6. My experience with receiving mail delivery has been good. Upon receiving an email notification, I have always had an easy time picking up the package by stopping by the front desk or the Amazon Hub based on the instructions from the email.7. I don’t have a car, so I didn’t pay much attention to the cost of parking. In addition to the parking garage, there are some parking meters in front of the WaHu’s main building entrance. When I had a friend or two visiting me, they usually parked at the parking meters.8. WaHu’s courtyard balcony has a great and unique view to the downtown Minneapolis skyline and the UMN East Bank campus. I have spent some pleasant time on the courtyard balcony viewing sunrise, sunset, and seasonal scenery.

Siya Gupta: love the size of my room and the fact i have my own bathroom

Delaney Valentine: The staff here is amazing! They have always been so kind and helpful!

Elizabeth Rogers: The staff here is wonderful! Maintenance is super quick and friendly when it comes to repairs and all of the student staff has been helpful when it comes to my packages!

Snakeman4 games: Our tour guide, Luwam, gave about the best tour you could imagine. The staff are friendly, peppy, and patient.

Ural Kafle: Absolutely good place! Thanks to great staff! Esp the maintenance and the front desk crew!

Emma Schlagenhaft: Great for first college apartment, not as modern as other options in dinkytown- however it has great rates.

Shrivas Mangalampalli: Decent place to live, bit far from campus but the rates are low and service is speedy

Garrison Rushing: I do not live at University Commons but I have a few friends that live there and it could not come more highly recommended! Because of this I recently took a tour when considering new housing. My guide Paris was incredibly helpful and nice, and it really seemed like she enjoyed her job. I've taken many apartment tours and this was by far the best. I ended up not needing housing as expected but if I did this would be my first choice. If you take a tour ask for Paris!

owen spector: I’ve been living here for about 7 months and I have loved it. Great place to live for the price.

Evan Pederson: Have lived here for ~7 months and I've loved living here! University Commons is great location-wise, being close to the light rail and a 15 minute walk from campus. It has good amenities, the rooms are homey and spacious, and the staff are quick to respond to any issues you may have in the apartment. Great experience overall.

Mackenzie Wallace: It's fairly inexpensive compared to a lot of places around here and everything is functional and quality, especially for the price!

Kyle Mesenbrink: The people in the office are very friendly and always willing to help!

Jeffrey Bauers: I have lived here for 4 years. During and after I graduated from college. I would say its pretty cheap compared to everything around the area. It's close to the Light rail which is a nice plus.I haven’t run into a single issue all of the negative reviews are about. Management has always been timely in fixing my maintenance requests and I have had nothing but positive experiences at University Commons. This is the place to be!!!!

Jack Walters-Medaris: Good budget apartment for college students, quality reflects what you pay for

Heidi Ries-Nguyen: Beautiful place and our guide Luwan was very knowledgeable and helpful.

Chateau Student Housing Co-op: what do users think?

Sheetal Gokhale: We enjoyed our stay here on 18th floor with amazing views of the sunsets! It was cozy and home living here with my husband. So many memories to remember for lifetime. Thank you for the great service!

Jinwei Yang: Good apt to live for the same price. Close to the U and Target is just around the apt. Also there are lots of restaurants here. Although there is a big mold in the lobby which comes from the Korea restaurant connected to the lobby, the environment in our room is very nice and never have mold at all. I really like this apt.

Nope Nope: are the best. The maintenance team is also extremely friendly and quick to resolve any issues. The building is old, but charming. The view is the best in Dinkytown.

Mitchell Kohrs: The management company makes this older building a wonderful pace to live. Always able to answer questions and know you by name, they are true professionals. The view from floors 4 and above are spectacular.

Xiao Yin: Good place to live. I stayed more than 2 years there and the stuff are very friendly there. It's close to target and some restaurants.

Yunlong Wang: Good price, best quality among apartments at this price.

Kristopher Fordham: The coolest building in Dinkytown!
