Northern Coffeeworks: what do users think?

Tiffany Cannon: Best coffee in the Twin Cities! I LOVE this place. We come here often and the coffee is always wonderful. It’s like free therapy on a bad day and makes a great day even better. I can’t recommend NC enough. A donut shop is a few steps away, and if you want to take it to go with kids, Hiawatha playground is also not too far of a walk. It is kid friendly if you choose to stay! They have a pastry case with GF options. The items come from local bakeries.

Misfit Coffee & Bar: what do users think?

Alexandra Hanson: This is probably my favorite coffee shop in the Twin Cities! Their roast coffee is excellent, plus I love all of their seasonal drinks—really unique and tasty flavors. The baristas always make the drinks to perfection, and all of the staff are nice and friendly. The industrial-esque space is great: lots of room, fun decor, and cool music playing. They also have a monthly coffee+vinyl record subscription which I got my partner for his birthday and it is super awesome. Good vibes all around, I highly recommend checking out Misfit Coffee!

Quixotic Coffee: what do users think?

Bianca Turman: We had a cinnamon pull-apart, a white lightning, and a seasonal gingerbread latte. The white lightning looked nothing like the advertised pictures and also had no vanilla flavor. The espresso tasted burnt and it was overall an unenjoyable beverage. The gingerbread latte had no recognizable gingerbread flavor but instead tasted like a standard latte with a dash of cinnamon. The espresso tasted far better in this drink but it was still underwhelming. We enjoyed the cinnamon pull-part most out of what we ordered, however, it was still quite dry.The service was friendly and quick and the atmosphere was lively with excellent decor.

FRGMNT Coffee: what do users think?

Jasmine Goldenstein: Very large building and very busy. Sometimes people come in with their well behaved dogs and i love it! I wasn't a big fan of what I ordered but I tried something new. Coffee itself was nice. Outside of the building is a bar that has outdoor games that some people were playing which is a cool feature. There isn't really any legit outdoor seating but plenty of spots to sit along the plants and a few spots if you can snag one. Parking was in fact easy

Raquel: Coffee is amazing! Creative and rotating latte selections.

Will DeGraw: A FRESH TAKE AND NEEDED ATMOSPHEREThis might the only coffee shop with proper customer service. I say that regrettably, but I have been well over 20x and never had any employee not be kind & welcoming. All of the coffee I have had has been great, but snagging a Cardigan donut along with it is what compliments the customer service best.

Laurisa Donte: Okay FRGMNT...I see you. I had my meeting here this week, and I Yassss. I live 4 minutes away. How did I not know. It's the open floor concept for me.My Maple Latte...on point. Next time I will get it in one of thise cute cups. The butter Croissant y'alllllllll!!!I'll be back.

Oscar Orlando Hendrix Escalante: Very nice coffee shop!

Jorge: Love this place, great espresso and espresso based drinks. The neighborhood feels like it’s attempting to be cosmopolitan and consequently the businesses here. I simply want a coffee. That’s the only small minor annoyance. Outside of that this place is amazing. Check out their other locations too.Service: 5/5 …

Jenine Kopenski: too! Loved the fireplace and lots of open space!Got the Cacao Five Spice. Not spicy and the spices weren’t very potent. But a very good latte!Atmosphere: 5/5 …

Sydney Gisvold: BEST COFFEE I absolutely love their pumpkin spice and chai syrup blends. Whoever is in charge of that is incredible. The only thing I don't like about the place is the yellow walls. I like yellow but they could definitely use a hue more pleasing to the eye.

Lisa Carmichael: Tried a Breakfast Sandwich and an ice carmel latte for my son who was visiting from out of town. I grabbed a Cherry Chicolate protein bar from Off The Farm and ooling hot tea. Everything was very good. We enjoyed working remotely. Nice clean quiet work space. I like that things are quiet here and there were others working intensely as well. Staff was pleasant.

Mad-Dogs Drag king: I love the environment! Coffee was delicious and I appreciated the latte art.Very comfortable for lace to visit. ❤️.The bathrooms are kept hygienic and clean. Thank you for providing tampons and pads.

Alisha Gelhar: This place had a facelift, and it looks amazing! Great atmosphere, especially for students.Recommended dishes Pour Over …

Petty Vountenale: Oh yeah this place is lit. Good vibes, a lot of seating choices! Make sure to get there early for a good spot tho. I ordered a lumberjack latte and a kouign amann pastry, soak the pastry in the latte… trust you won’t regret it. Prices are pretty generous especially considering our economy as of right now.

Wesley Andrews Coffee & Tea: what do users think?

Teagan Winters: Great coffee, great baristas 🤗

Dan McCormick: Best coffee in Minneapolis. Great pour overs made from well-sourced, beautifully roasted beans.Nice atmosphere - plants and light and openness. It's worth the trip even if you're just looking for some great beans and nothing else. But really - it's worth having your pour over in a mug, sitting back, and taking a breath and relaxing for a bit

Truffle Lover: We started coming here a few years ago, and the first few times were amazing. We were getting light roast single origin espresso shots that were clearly meticulously pulled. More recently, the vibes haven’t been the same. Baristas w probably less experience. Coffee blends for espresso. Honestly very sad, loved it here.

Up Cafe and Up Coffee Roasters: what do users think?

Alexandra Hanson: One of my favorite cafes and coffee roasters in the Twin Cities! Their drinks are excellent—one of my favorites is their horchata latte, and there are a ton of great specialty options among the more traditional coffee drinks. The staff here are friendly and quick, and the space is welcoming, well-decorated, and is great as both a quick workspace or as a spot to catch up with friends. They also conveniently sell their amazing roast coffee in the store which is a plus!Another great thing about their cafe are all of their absolutely delicious pastries, they are fresh and super tasty. I especially like their almond croissants when they have them, and their leek and parmesan is a great savory option—you genuinely can't go wrong here. I highly recommend checking out Up Cafe & Up Coffee Roasters!

Not Ren Banney: Really good coffee and pastries. The only downside is that the music being played in the cafe had too much bass. I know that sounds silly but it felt like there was a subwoofer or something. Wearing earbuds to listen one's own music or audio is kind of annoying with the bass cuts through it. Music being played in a coffeeshop is nice, but you don't need that much low end.

Julia Goodhart: Really delicious latte and two vegan pastry options! Pumpkin bread and a brownie.

Amanda J.: Gorgeous coffee shop with wonderful music. Has a solid vibe. Blooming with creativity. Is a great place to meet up with friends or to study.

Kim Wolfe: It’s a 4 degree Fahrenheit day in Minnesota and there is no better way to spend the morning than visiting a coffee shop. I stumbled upon Up Cafe. What a treat! The atmosphere is relaxing and inviting. Background music adds to the great vibe here. This is one of the easier-to-get-to coffee shops in Minneapolis as it is near the hustle and bustle of the city but situated in a quiet neighborhood not far off the beaten path. They make a crave-worthy oat milk latte that I will come back for!Parking: This coffee shop has ample, no hassle street parking and a small attached lot.

Lew Grant: Brilliant little local coffee shop! Awesome food/snacks with plant-based options and excellent, strong coffee.Spacious seating options which is uncommon for most local coffee shops!

Melissa Clawson (Personal): Some of the best coffee in town! And served CORRECTLY. They also have great non-coffee options for people who don’t drink coffee. And baked goods from Marc Heu!Vegetarian options: Chia Pudding and pastries

Nick Smith: Good Coffee, good service

Jacquelyn Fay: gets crowded at times, but I don't mind. I wish the upstairs would be converted to more seating. The iced miel is very good. the staff are friendly and I'm absolutely in love with the window area w/ the plantsedit: please expand hours into the evening and weekends!!!

Camille McCallum: Bordertown Coffee in Minneapolis is a haven for coffee connoisseurs. The extensive menu boasts classic coffee choices, along with an array of tempting teas and tea lattes. My latte experience was nothing short of exceptional—the milk was perfectly prepared, consistently creamy, and adorned with the perfect amount of foam. What sets Bordertown apart is its unique location inside an old house. The ambiance is a delightful blend of history and modern comfort, with inviting tables, plush couches, and tucked-away study nooks. The attention to detail in decor creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere that enhances the overall enjoyment of your visit. Bordertown Coffee is not just a coffee shop; it's a destination where every sip and surroundings contribute to a memorable experience. Highly recommended for those seeking both quality beverages and a charming environment.

Emily T: Bordertown is by far one of my favorite places near the U of M campus. You really have to look for it since it’s in the middle of the block. Love the charm of the building, makes for a great study or work spot if you can find a seat. Drinks are good, tried a seasonal beverage and it did not disappoint. They definitely put care into your order.

Five Watt Coffee, Kingfield: what do users think?

John Fenske: I love their coffee. You can only order coffee with your dog. Can't sit down and drink it.

Lisa Carmichael: Was looking for a remote place to work today and found this great spot. Great service. Great Chai Tea Latte! Fun location. Says busy with lots of traffic which is good. I was able to find a spot where I could work and be effective with the white noise. My food was good. The service was good. The place itself was clean and inviting. I’ll be back again

Ephraim Nicholson: Pricey, but worth a trip on a special occasion.

Jabes: The Gibraltar was spot in, nice glass ware and atmosphere. A nice atmospheric mix of social chat and people working or studying.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes

Ally: and drinks come out pretty fast. It gets busy, FYI, so it gets loud in there. They also sell cute merch and the place is very electric/industrial.I got the Pollinator

Early: Tried a seasonal drink, all day and all night. It was different but good. Wasn't super sweet but not over bearing with an earthy taste and the foam had salt which was the different part but not bad. Also tried the cran orange pastry. Had a well balanced tart and sweetness to it. Only downside was the person who took the order was clueless to the menu and making suggestions. Had no opinion whatsoever when asked. Other than that, I'd recommend this place to try something different.

Samuel Ketcham: Great staff, delicious coffee, immaculate vibes.

Stephen Thiessen: Stopped by after doing an escape room with some friends. The barista was supper and engaging and helped us narrow down our pastry options.MPLS coffee shops always have immaculate vibes and Five Watt is no exception. We loved the large geometric table, perfect for games or coworking. The Kingfield was a delightful salty and robust pick-me-up for an unseasonably warm January afternoon.

Queue D.: One of my favorite coffee shops I've been to! I've only been here twice but I will definitely be back. The food, drinks, and customer service are fantastic. The only downside is that it's tiny and waiting in line can be a bit of a squeeze if other people are trying to exit, but the baristas are fast so you don't have to wait long.Parking: Shared parking lot with Zipps Liquors

Joel Abrahamson: Friendly proprietor makes great espresso drinks; those are my favorite. It's hard to beat fresh-roasted on site! But you can order coffee or espresso just about any way you want. Some small snack foods like pastries, granola/energy bars available.Parking: Parking lot is crowded because it is right next to Zipp's

Theodore Howell: Good Coffee, Great prices, lots of options, cheap beans to go that you can get as little or as much as you want. Will def return there, plus liquor store next door two stops in one lol.Baristas were friendly and knowledgeable too

Nomadic Native (Nomad): So the guys I've always got my orders from have always been accommodating and kind while putting together fresh coffee drinks that help my wife & I start are day!Strongly recommended if your in the area!

Dallas Myers: and they have a lot of syrup options to fully customize any drink.Since i’m picky with coffee I mainly get a the strawberry smoothie now and a little breakfast pastry.the customer service is always awesome! they are so nice, i love it. i enjoy studying here, but i do wish they were open later. i love studying with a little coffee treat after being in lecture all day and this is the best place, i wish i could do it here. but they close at 4.Wheelchair accessibility: tight fit through the front so I wouldn’t fully recommend.

Adrianna Bolles: Owners and employees are AMAZING! I even have a drink named for me 😊 this place is amazing!Kid-friendliness: My son ABSOLUTELY loves Code Blu! They know him by name and if he's not with me they always ask about him! The shortened hours are a buzz kill, so I'm not able to come as often as I'd like, but it's still a FAVORITE! Try an A Bomb next time you go! You'll love it! 💙

Jenine Kopenski: Great spot for coffee! Pistachio latte was great! Was bummed not to see any signature drinks but they had a ton of syrups and flavors to choose from.Dietary restrictions: Oat milk

Ethan Kounkel: This place has the makings of a great coffee shop that has the atmosphere to bring in travelers and locals alike. The only thing missing from this place is OUTLETS. There are a minuscule amount with only a few spots allowing a charging port. Being that coffee shops have historically been correlated with working on personal computers, it has become quite expected that there is enough places to charge said devices.
