Sydney Gisvold: BEST COFFEE I absolutely love their pumpkin spice and chai syrup blends. Whoever is in charge of that is incredible. The only thing I don't like about the place is the yellow walls. I like yellow but they could definitely use a hue more pleasing to the eye.

Everything was very good. We enjoyed working remotely. Nice clean quiet work space. I like that things are quiet here and there were others working intensely as well. Staff was pleasant.

There are a minuscule amount with only a few spots allowing a charging port. Being that coffee shops have historically been correlated with working on personal computers, it has become quite expected that there is enough places to charge said devices.

Paige: Parking: I usually park a couple blocks away in the neighborhood to the West; hit or miss parking situation depending on busy times.
Sean Lawrence: What a powerhouse of a bakery/cafe experience. Simple, streamlined menu with only solid hits. The staff were eager to assist, yet not impatient with new customers needing time with the menu. Lots of Madonna on the playlist. The cinnamon bun was huge and delightful. I love the hint of yeast in the bready portion contrasting with the tasteful amount of sweet and spice. The coffee cake deserves some love too, with its fruit and walnut crumble topping
Chris Goggin: The smells of caramel and cinnamon were wafting out the door, into the line as we waited … mouthwatering delicious awaited!We enjoyed our visit - had the walnut, cinnamon buns, and orange/raspberry scone. Plus a coffee.All were very good and a nice start to Sunday.

Alexandra Hanson: This is probably my favorite coffee shop in the Twin Cities! Their roast coffee is excellent, plus I love all of their seasonal drinks—really unique and tasty flavors. The baristas always make the drinks to perfection, and all of the staff are nice and friendly. The industrial-esque space is great: lots of room, fun decor, and cool music playing. They also have a monthly coffee+vinyl record subscription which I got my partner for his birthday and it is super awesome. Good vibes all around, I highly recommend checking out Misfit Coffee!

Tiffany Cannon: Best coffee in the Twin Cities! I LOVE this place. We come here often and the coffee is always wonderful. It’s like free therapy on a bad day and makes a great day even better. I can’t recommend NC enough. A donut shop is a few steps away, and if you want to take it to go with kids, Hiawatha playground is also not too far of a walk. It is kid friendly if you choose to stay! They have a pastry case with GF options. The items come from local bakeries.

Bonnie Shelangi: I got the toffee crunch latte, customized to 1/2 sweetness, and it was delicious!! Also, the scone was fabulous. The service was very friendly and upbeat, and the ambiance is great. There's a large selection of books to read at the little free library in the cafe, which is a plus for me, an avid reader 😀 And finally, it was so entertaining to watch the dogs patiently wait for and then enjoy their puppuccinos 🐶😍

Bianca Turman: We had a cinnamon pull-apart, a white lightning, and a seasonal gingerbread latte. The white lightning looked nothing like the advertised pictures and also had no vanilla flavor. The espresso tasted burnt and it was overall an unenjoyable beverage. The gingerbread latte had no recognizable gingerbread flavor but instead tasted like a standard latte with a dash of cinnamon. The espresso tasted far better in this drink but it was still underwhelming. We enjoyed the cinnamon pull-part most out of what we ordered, however, it was still quite dry.The service was friendly and quick and the atmosphere was lively with excellent decor.

Katie Pope: We had a great experience using Glass House for our indoor winter wedding of 130 guests! The space is very flexible and they have many chair, table, and other furniture options included in the rental. They even had a projector and an outdoor fire pit! The venue staff and bar staff were helpful and accommodating. We especially loved the gorgeous bar area and show room, and the easy parking for guests. Another big selling point is their lovely bar menu selection and awesome local catering partners. Glass House allowed us to have a wedding that represented our shared love for Minneapolis! If you are looking for a unique urban venue, I would definitely recommend Glass House!

I always know that my client’s event will be fully supported by an incredible team. Plus, they are a values based venue that priorities sustainability behind the scenes, which is always a win for everyone involved!

Beth Walser: If I could give this place 4.5 stars I would, it’s super cute, the atmosphere is amazing, it was super busy for a Saturday afternoon, the staff was friendly and they had a good food and bakery selection. The coffee was ok but tasted a little burnt and the parking was pretty chaotic, but also that’s northeast Minneapolis for you especially in the winter.

Jasmine Goldenstein: Very large building and very busy. Sometimes people come in with their well behaved dogs and i love it! I wasn't a big fan of what I ordered but I tried something new. Coffee itself was nice. Outside of the building is a bar that has outdoor games that some people were playing which is a cool feature. There isn't really any legit outdoor seating but plenty of spots to sit along the plants and a few spots if you can snag one. Parking was in fact easy

Will DeGraw: GIVE ME THIS BREAKFAST SANDWICH OVER & OVER AGAIN.Black Walnut is in a seemingly residential area of the southside of Hennepin [Uptown], but gets packed inside. it's a lovely place to sit down, meet friends, and just hang out. i don' think i would recommend it as a place work out of, but it's got a charm to it.would def go back again & again.

Walk right over to the lake if you’d rather take your food to go!I even ordered my wedding cake from Black Walnut! The Cassis Vanilla Bavarian makes for a perfect cutting cake and is beautiful and delicious.
