Stephen Anderson: One of my favorite venues to perform at! I’m a DJ with Complete Weddings and Events and whenever I’ve had an event here I’ve found the staff to be incredibly on top of it and flexible, and it’s a gorgeous space.

Hannah Rohlinger: Our wedding at FIVE was everything we imagined and more! The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous and my favorite part was it really speaks for itself, doesn’t need much added! It was important to us to have our wedding in the city. I still can’t believe how affordable FIVE is compared to other venue. Our guests and family loved it! We had 155 people and it was spacious for everyone. We truly could not have had such of a great wedding without Victoria, the venue coordinator. She was responsive and quick to answer all my questions! She went above beyond in every single aspect of the day. Anyone would be so lucky to have her there for their special day!

T'mone Kleindl: This was a fantastic space for our wedding reception.The speaker system could use an upgrade, but it is by no means a deal breaker.There was some difficulty with communication on the day of the reception, but we are partly at fault for this.The staff takes themselves seriously, which can be both good and bad, and they very clearly take pride in their work

Bradley George: Bryant lake bowl pride block party, Minneapolis Pride on the Friday during pride week is a must. Crowd is alternate, fun, and there to have a good time! Local bands, djs and drag performers that are lined up to perform are local top talent. One of Minneapolis pride weekend best kept secret.
Demetra Williamson: The space has a main and second floor. There were big windows that let a lot of natural light it which was nice. They had family style restrooms upstairs and a men and womens on the main floor. There was a bar/sink area in the middle of the front of the upstairs area which could be great, unfortunately for the event I went to the middle bar made it a bit difficult for people on the other side of the room to seem what was going on. Overall great and I loved the giant mirror they had on the stair case landing.

I recently took part in a fashion show hosted at FIVE Event Center, and I was blown away by the beautiful space, the atmosphere they created there, and their wonderful venue manager Victoria. She was SO kind and helpful throughout the evening. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

From the knowledgeable greeters to the wait staff to Tom the bartender, everyone worked so well as a team to take such good care of all our club members. They truly made our event memorable with how they served us. Appetizers came out fresh, tasty and nonstop. Our main course was served simultaneously to all table members which was really neat!!! I highly recommend MEC for your next event! You will NOT be disappointed! These guys are top notch and know what they are doing.

Elisabeth Clemans: We just got married at Day Block and it was wonderful. Chris and Jeff are nice and professional. The space is absolutely gorgeous and they were so accommodating to our plans and set up. Our bartender for the night, Jessica, was wonderful and personable! I definitely recommend Day Block for your wedding or event!
Kelly Duncan: Day Block was the perfect venue for my daughters wedding. The space is just beautiful and was exactly what we were hoping for - the decorations fit perfectly. Chris was very accommodating and responsive. It was all so wonderful and magical - the memories we have are priceless.
Ty Ebert: Like most people sharing here, I was at the venue for a wedding. I moved out of downtown before this opened a while back and had only been downstairs for the pizza and music. The event spaces was well put together and appropriately sized for a 100 to 125 person wedding. There was room to get away from the dancing and chill on the balcony facing US Bank Stadium. As it happens, there was live music in the restaurant patio itself and we got to enjoy that too!The food was good and the staff seemed very responsive to moving tables around when it came time to dance and cleaning up the occasional spilled drink.

Laura Guzman: We used Day Block for our ceremony, reception, and used their bar services. We picked them primarily because they had an open catering and bar policy and the space is really naturally beautiful. Brittany was our main point of contact and she was responsive to our questions and helped us figure out different options to help the day go smoothly. We ended up renting their first floor auxiliary taproom to move people downstairs during dinner for a cocktail hour and it worked great! It was also really nice that they had tables and chairs we could use for free. The space is beautiful and much more affordable than similar spaces in Minneapolis. We did hire a day-of coordinator to help manage a lot of the details of the day and would recommend others do the same. Also, we were so glad we used their bar services! The selection was great and well priced and the bar tenders managed our rowdy crowd well!

Ashli Theis: Day Block provides a very “hands off” experience, which is what we were looking for. We were able to bring in our own caterer and bar and that saved us a lot of money. It is a stunning space and they allow you to make it your own. We were sold on all of its natural elements: brick walls, hardwood floors and natural lighting. We had about 125 guests and we all fit pretty comfortably. Their event manager Brittany was really lovely to work with – she was kind and quick to respond to all of our questions. Ethan, the person we worked with on the day of, was very helpful with all of our needs.

Jenna Scattarelli: We just recently got married at Van Dusen Mansion and had the absolute best wedding in the world! The venue is stunning with so much character and historic charm that it made us truly feel like it was a one in a million kind of venue. Our wedding was seamless with how it was laid out where the entire day is at one location moving from the mansion, ballroom, courtyard and carriage house. The best part was the team who was there for you every step of the way. When we inquired, we worked with Jenna Zamjahn in the beginning of planning stages, and we connected with her instantly where she felt like an old, trusted friend. Jenna is super knowledgeable, helpful, and just an absolute joy to work with that we knew that this was the place for our big day. Once we decided on the venue, we worked with the wedding coordinator, Monica Sanger and because of her, it was a seamless process. Monica is the best at what she does. She goes above and beyond and made us feel like her top priority, super attentive and always there for us if we needed help. Her strong work ethic, eye-to-detail, compassionate heart are what make her stand out. We are forever grateful for having to work with Jenna and Monica and the whole VDM team for our special day. If it wasn’t for them, none of it was possible. This venue and the people are truly one of a kind and anyone would be lucky to have their wedding here!

You could get lost in all the amazingly-decorated rooms and there are countless backdrops for photos. Every staff member I encountered was extremely kind and I could tell they were working hard to make the day as smooth as possible. Highly recommend!

Emily Ferrazzo: from beginning to end.Luckily, the weather cooperated for our 10/21 wedding so we had the ceremony in the courtyard, allowing for a slow but procession through the grounds as the night progressed.Anything over our guest count would’ve been tight for the ceremony space AND dining hall, so keep that in mind. We chose to add two hours in the morning for $200/hour, very much worth it and the perfect amount of time for a 10-person wedding party
Alexa Assis: The Van Dusen Mansion was the perfect venue for our small wedding. We only had about 70-75 people, which felt perfect here. The mansion is absolutely gorgeous as well. The staff was excellent to work with - on top of everything, coordinated, and friendly. I didn't have to worry about a thing. Celisia Stanton: I am the owner of Celisia Stanton Photography, and one of my clients held their intimate wedding at The Neu Neu. The Neu Neu is a fantastic venue!! The getting-ready rooms have huge windows with tons of natural light, allowing us to capture indoor photos without struggling with awkward shadows or uneven lighting. The ceremony and reception took place in the same room, and the exposed brick and wood detailing provided the perfect backdrop for a moody, intimate celebration. My clients also made full use of The Neu Neu's outside space by setting up a badminton court, hiring the Style Society to provide an outdoor lounge area, and providing a Revere food truck for their guests to enjoy. Both the indoor and outdoor areas are beautiful, and I'd highly recommend The Neu Neu to anyone looking for a great venue in the heart of Minneapolis.

I was having so much fun upstairs that I actually forgot to even visit the Wine Grotto!Beyond the venue itself, the incredible coordinator, Katherine Bailey, makes the entire process so smooth and enjoyable. Katherine is the best! She is incredibly helpful and responsive, and I am so grateful to have had her on my team.I will always remember this place so fondly. It can be difficult to find a mansion venue that doesn't feel broken up into rooms that split up the guests, but Semple Mansion has the perfect layouts & flow for both ceremony and reception needs. It's easy to spend the entire day there and not feel like you need a change of scene. It was also super convenient to utilize the high-quality vendors that are already based within Semple Mansion. Guest parking is no problem, the ballroom is stunning, and we also loved that we could utilize the grand piano for live music during our ceremony. We couldn't dream of a better wedding venue.

TCWEP Network: Incredible space for events with excellent staff. We had our Venue Tour + Vendor Meetup held on the 50th floor Windows at Marquette in downtown Minneapolis.We were so high up in the sky, one of the tallest skyscrapers in Minneapolis, the IDS building. You can seriously see for miles and miles out into the suburbs. Gorgeous spaces inside for any event with sweeping views outside with ceiling to floor windows.Marquette served a wonderful spread for brunch that included: toasted bagels slathered with cream cheese, capers and smoked salmon. Lots of fresh fruits, cantaloupe, melons, honeydew, melon, strawberries. And with the brunch theme there was wonderful toasted hashbrowns, and yummy quiche. A W: I'm sure this will be a common theme in these reviews for the foreseeable future, but Kailey at Windows on MN knocked it out of the park. Exceeded our expectations in everyway and took care of a ton of the pre-wedding stress you typically hear about.The event staff was great, food was phenomenal, and we just couldn't be more grateful for how amazing the venue was. If you're on the fence go meet with them and you'll be blown away.

She made sure every detail was finalized for our big day and was very responsive to communication with us and our planner!The venue itself is so unique and one of a kind! Madeline Rana: Windows on Minnesota was a dream wedding venue. The views are spectacular, and bad weather won't ruin your day! We were lucky enough to have a clear, sunny day to fully enjoy the panoramic views, but going into my wedding without having to worry about a rainy day backup option gave me major peace of mind. The Marquette's team was also great to work with. They were helpful and communicative all throughout our planning process, and everything ran smoothly on the big day. The food was great, the bartenders were efficient, and everything went perfectly. They were also flexible and helped us to plan a multi-cultural fusion wedding, which was extremely important to us. Finally, having a hotel right there, across Crystal Court, made it smooth and easy for out of town guests to get to the wedding without needing to arrange special transportation. I can't imagine a better wedding venue.
Kara Haro: Working with the staff at Windows on Minnesota is a seamless process. They are communicative, pleasant and helpful and a real joy to work with. Both the planning/sales staff and the onsite staff during the event worked quickly and quietly to provide the best service for our event. The location can't be beat- your guests are in awe overlooking downtown Minneapolis and what lays beyond. Plus, the venue itself is interesting in the IDS tower, has ample parking available onsite and the furnishings and cleanliness are unparalleled. 5 stars!

Started the day with a get ready room prepared by the hotel and added on breakfast for the wedding party on the 3rd floor which was so spacious and made PERFECT get ready photos! Groomsmen used a suite to get ready in and we loved having our own spaces to keep the morning calm and special for all of us. Our ceremony was off site, but used Stars for a cocktail space for our 200 guests which had perfect views and LOVE the passed mushroom arancini appetizer!! My only recommendation is adding an extra bar

Hannah and Barbara worked with us to ensure every last detail was perfect -- It was especially beneficial to have their expert advice while planning from out of state.The day of staff was terrific as well. The entire team was professional and had a fabulous vibe -- really made the party. Thank you to the entire team. Amazing!

We are city dwellers but love the outdoors and NIP was the perfect backdrop that brought both of those worlds together. The well-maintained outdoor space provided a stunning backdrop for our ceremony and cocktail hour while the industrial vibe of the venue building provided some urban romance for the evening reception.The attention to detail displayed by the venue's staff was exceptional. S Kruger: Attended a wedding here and it was a nice place. The decor surprisingly light and sparkly, they really went heavy with the reflective surfaces. The bar was well stocked, and run. The food, which was Italian, was good and plentiful. The ceremony and reception took place in the same room and the set-up of the reception didn't take too long. My only criticisms would be the chairs were very uncomfortable by the end of the wedding and the decorative drapes were so dirty they were gray. They need to be taken down and washed. Seriously, take the time.

Roy Flores: I was a guest at a wedding in this venue and I must say it is very beautiful. It's big inside and the lights are very pretty. The bartenders were quick and friendly. The bathrooms are also very nice and big so they can accommodate lots of people. The security were friendly at the end of the night helping us get an uber. This place is perfect for a wedding.

Danelle: We enjoyed a wedding reception here. Odd shaped configuration but we had a separate space for appetizers and drinks and then the sit-down meal and dance in another space. Decor was nice, the appetizers were yummy, main course was good, band was great. A good time was had by all. Free Valet parking.

This venue is perfect for any client looking for a classic and romantic backdrop to their special day. The outside of The Blaisdell features stunning landscaping, so we were also able to capture gorgeous couples and bridal party photos in and around the venue itself. Located in the heart of Minneapolis, this is the perfect venue for anyone who wants a more classic wedding venue in a city environment. Highly recommend!

Kiara was extremely helpful throughout the whole planning process and our day turned out incredible. The day felt intimate, but was still able to hold 200 of our guests comfortably! Highly recommend if you are looking for an mansion / estate feel.

Jackie Workman: My sons wedding was better than we could have imagined! The flowers had just popped, the large tree was raining white flowers as we arrived and continued for hours. All the venders recommended did a fantastic job as well as the event coordinator. It truly was magical. My only concern was the parking but most people used Uber or prearranged rides and we had no issues. It was fabulous.

When we first went to the venue for a tour, Janet was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and did a great job of helping us envision our wedding in the space. We decided to book the venue immediately after our tour, and we are so glad we did! It has the bright, clean vibe that we were looking for, and was more affordable than comparable venues in the area. It’s also really customizable to make your dream wedding vision come to life!Working with Kaira on the details for our wedding was also great! She was very helpful and responsive. I came to the walkthrough that we did about a month before the wedding with a ton of questions, and she answered them all before I could even ask! It was such a smooth, easy process on our end. We also loved that security was included, so we didn’t have to worry about anything!The venue is so beautiful for a winter wedding, very cozy but still spacious. We took a lot of photos outside, and it looked so beautiful with a little bit of snow on the ground! We also loved the mural on the side of the building for photos.We had our ceremony and reception in the ballroom, and the room flip during cocktail hour was totally seamless. We had a bar on the main floor and on the second floor during our cocktail hour, which was so nice to have more space for our guests and shorter lines for them to get drinks.We got so many comments from our guests on what a beautiful venue it was, and we were very happy with our choice to get married at The Blaisdell! Thank you Kaira, Janet, and Blaisdell staff for everything!!
Katie Griffith: We had our wedding at The Blaisdell and it was perfect! We had a headcount of around 140 and it was the perfect space for us. It allows for you to have the entire day in one space which is so convenient. There is a parking lot across the street for guests to utilize, in addition to street parking. We even had a live band, and there was plenty of space for that. The staff at The Blaisdell were so great and we truly enjoyed everything about the space. The space has a lot of charm on the inside, while allowing you to add your own decor and style to the space. The bridal suite was perfect too, and the wedding party really appreciated having that as a place to relax and spend the day. Would highly recommend this space! It is a hidden gem and so beautiful.
Meghan Finley: This is an absolutely incredible venue! Janet did an amazing job answering all of our questions and helping us imagine what our wedding could look like if we booked the venue. When she told us we could also hire Kaira as a day of coordinator - we knew immediately it was the right way to go. Kaira was instrumental in helping our day be as amazing as it was. If you book this venue, I HIGHLY recommend hiring Kaira as well - it was the best decision we made.
Terri St. Arnauld: For me, it was an excellent experience. Those with mobility issues might find it a little challenging if the main room needs to be emptied and re-arranged. I believe that entrance is in the back and I didn't see seating in the front area where we all waited.
Tina Tulsie: Janet and Kaira were great to work with! They were both very accommodating, informative, and quick to answer questions. The venue was perfect for our wedding and the front courtyard was amazing for our cocktail hour. The only reason I didn't give 5/5 stars is because the day-of venue coordinator was not helpful. She stayed in her office the entire day and did not seem like she wanted to be there.

Shane Long Photography: I have been photographing weddings at the Gale Mansion for over a decade. It never get old! The classic, elegant, timeless feel of the venue makes it a joy to photograph! The blues in the bridal suite are beautiful. The wood working throughout the whole venue is simply remarkable. This venue is perfect for an upscale wedding. If you are looking for a classic, mansion feel, I highly recommend taking a tour!

The staff at Gale made sure we didn’t need to worry about anything on our wedding day, because they took care of set-up and tear-down.Karen is incredible! She is extremely organized, and was so helpful to make sure we had thought of everything and were one step ahead in our planning. She is very kind, thoughtful, and fun to be around – we really enjoyed meeting with her regularly and spent many of our meetings laughing. She is also patient, and answered a lot of long emails with questions that we sent her throughout the process.Our wedding was perfect, and much of that was due to Karen and the Gale staff. We were able to relax and enjoy the day together. We couldn’t recommend Gale more for your wedding!
Liza McNamara: It was a perfect choice for us!! It was an elegant and unique venue, which is exactly what we were looking for! We toured A BUNCH of venues, but none compared to the Gale. My husband and I were on the same page the MOMENT that we stepped out of the Gale that we had to go ahead and book it!! We loved working with Karen, the venue coordinator. She ALWAYS had impeccable communication and worked around our busy schedule. I asked her probably about one million questions, but she always answered them so happily. She was so helpful in all of my wedding planning questions before the big day! She was also the SWEETEST, she would often have mimosas waiting for me and my bridesmaids whenever we came to do some wedding planning :

If you're looking for a gorgeous, historic venue in a convenient location in downtown Minneapolis, look no further than the Gale Mansion. I can't wait to photograph more weddings here and work with the staff again - the couple and their wedding party and guests had a wonderful time and everyone had great things to say about the service and venue itself. Karen, the venue coordinator, and her staff are so easy to work with and thoughtfully serve every bride and groom that comes through their doors. Highly recommend!

Josephine Stafford: This is a gorgeous space for events, particularly smaller weddings. I think the perfect guest count is in the 50-75 range. It's one of those places where you don't need to add gobs and gobs of decor to make it come alive. From the exposed brick, red curtains, piano bar and built in credenza, this space allows you to really entertain your guests without making them trek all over the place to get from ceremony to reception. Highly recommend!
Shelby and Gabriel Davison: Very happy with our choice of Watson block and I would recommend! The photos turned out so lovely, and Gaby was so great to work with, very communicative. Would recommend them!

Zoe Ryan: The whole Watson block team was amazing and answered every question I had along the way. They were so accommodating and able to get back to me within 24 hours most times. We had the most amazing wedding in such a beautiful space. The chandeliers and drapes made for stunning pictures and we were able to use an arbor that was included in the venue rental. It’s a great location downtown and easy for our guests to get to and from when staying at a nearby hotel. I highly recommend Watson Block!

It was the perfect size for our guest list of around 90 people. There was plenty of space to mingle and dance.Gaby was amazing to work with and everything went so smooth on the day of! I would recommend Watson Block to everyone.
Justin Moor: . The price also seems pretty good considering how much some other venues cost. One note is that if you're going to have your own playlist, like we did, create it in Spotify. Using any other app requires physically plugging a phone into their system, and even if you do that, the music probably won't be loud enough. This wasn't ultimately a problem for us, we just wanted to make sure that was clear. Overall we had a terrific day and would definitely recommend Watson Block to anyone else.

Kierstin Bird: Watson Block was the absolute perfect venue for our wedding! We were looking for a wedding for about 100 people and absolutely loved all the decor and that our guests didn’t have to go to a separate reception space! The space is gorgeous and Gaby, the coordinator, made things so easy for us! The only issue we had was some noise from the bar below us. Otherwise, Watson Block was amazing!!

Ashten was great with communication and flexibility leading up to the event and Mikayla and Sam went above and beyond our exception day-of. Jennifer Bremer: What a beautiful space. Large window walls, high, exposed truss ceilings, wood floors, long bar and original brick. Parking is easy and bathrooms are always clean. Love this venue.
Kate Nelson: Came here for a drag brunch last week, and it was wonderful. The space is HUGE and allowed for the queens to interact with all of the tables. Whatever catering they provided was excellent as well. Definitely want to come back for another drag brunch!
Lulle Photo and Film: Quincy Hall is an INCREDIBLE wedding venue -- we had the honor of photographing Maddy and Alec's wedding there in 2023 and the venue offers so much space! They also rented studio Q across the street for getting ready and it also worked really well for bridal party photos because it was raining out -- so having an additional space as an option was great for the couple!
David Nibbe: Came here for the Winter farmers market. The space is nice and roomy for an event this size.The event itself had a fun selection of vendors with a good balance of food, crafts, and art. Fun way to spend an early afternoon if you want to support local vendors.
Caleb McPherson: It's a pretty great space for an event. The lighting and audio systems make for a good presentation.We've been here two years in a row for a work conference. The service for food is great. They even made sure the bathrooms were stocked and working while we were there.The only complaint I have is the chairs. Those hard steel chairs get REAL uncomfortable when you have to sit in them for 4 hours.

Markeda D.: Attended the valentines night craft fair here for a date night and it was such a lovely experience. Coat check in the front, speciality cocktails available. On the first floor there were various vendors selling wood decor, jewelry, body and skin care, candles and even pastries. On the second floor even more vendors along with a tarot reader. The space wasn’t too packed so we weren’t bumping into other people. Elevators and stairs easily marked and accessible. The only downside is this building is located downtown there was a parking lot next to the building but it was small and filled up. Street parking is available to pay but it’s free after 6pm but it fill up quickly so you may have to walk about a block like we did.
Madeline Bergum: Our day was a DREAM at Machine Shop! We could not have asked for more caring and attentive staff. They accommodated several special requests and worked hard to help me realize my vision. Working with Lauren was awesome - it felt like I was working with a friend and she went above and beyond to make sure our day was special. Our day went off without a hitch thanks to the staff, security, and bartenders. We could not recommend Machine Shop enough for your wedding or event!

Denae Brennan: As a Minneapolis wedding planner, I have had the pleasure of working at the Machine Shop several times. It's one of my favorite venues! There are the obvious elements like the unique, historic atmosphere and open floor plan, which perfectly welcomes any design you could imagine. But more so, I love working there because of the staff! The management, sales staff, event coordinators and bar team are all fantastic to work with from the first tour through the end of the event. They are friendly, professional and accommodating, always making my job as a planner easier. I would highly recommend considering the Machine Shop for your wedding or special event!
Mickey Mikeworth: What a great venue, and perfect for a conference unfortunate only holds about 350 people so it’s good for a medium size conference! Wonderful photography spot, if you have a wedding there a private rooms to be able to get ready in. Plenty of bathrooms and it has an upper level.
