Chance Sparks: 5-stars for an imperfect stay, because a nice hotel has to be judged by how they respond. We had a major plumbing issue well out of their control involving some kind of broke line. Maintenance was there within 5 minutes, and they had us moved to a new room with keys and a luggage cart within another 5 minutes, along with some credits. That is a level of quality response you just don’t see often, and they should be commended!

Andrew Myers: The attention to detail that Ashley and her team put into our wedding day months and months and months before the actual day is nothing short of remarkable. What we admired most is that she certainly does not just tell you what you want to hear - she gives you the truth. But she doesn't just say no and move on - she is always bringing alternatives to ideas that can bring you as close to your absolute dream as possible. And that is because Ashley has already thought of every possible outcome of every possible scenario before she's even brought it to you. She helped us pick the perfect venue. She negotiated on our behalf countless times. She told us to do our ceremony outside even when the weather was suspect and we were a little nervous. And she was there for every single guest throughout the night if they needed her. Even weeks after the wedding, we had guests texting us and saying how incredible Ashley was throughout the day and how impressed they were with her call to do the ceremony outside - we are forever in debt to her for that. Ashley did what all planners should aspire to do - bring the vision to life and make the wedding appear as flawless as can be to the bride and the groom. Without Ashley's persistence, work-ethic and patience - I don't even want to think about how stressful the entire process could have been. We already miss her and would recommend her to any and all.

I am not the planning or organizing type, and I was completely overwhelmed with everything that needed to be completed, so Ashley and Poppati took care of everything! We had to change our date 2x and with all of the rules and restrictions Ashley and her team had to basically start from scratch several times. My wedding wouldn't have happened with out all of her help and expertise. She stayed up to date on all the rules and kept us informed and still pulled off the wedding of my dreams. My caterer dropped a month out from our wedding and Ashley was able to secure a new one at an even better rate for us with no issue. The day of our wedding it was so windy and there were challenges with the set up but I never knew because her team handled it and my day was amazing. Hannah Rohlinger: Our wedding at FIVE was everything we imagined and more! The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous and my favorite part was it really speaks for itself, doesn’t need much added! It was important to us to have our wedding in the city. I still can’t believe how affordable FIVE is compared to other venue. Our guests and family loved it! We had 155 people and it was spacious for everyone. We truly could not have had such of a great wedding without Victoria, the venue coordinator. T'mone Kleindl: This was a fantastic space for our wedding reception.The speaker system could use an upgrade, but it is by no means a deal breaker.There was some difficulty with communication on the day of the reception, but we are partly at fault for this.The staff takes themselves seriously, which can be both good and bad, and they very clearly take pride in their work

Bradley George: Bryant lake bowl pride block party, Minneapolis Pride on the Friday during pride week is a must. Crowd is alternate, fun, and there to have a good time! Local bands, djs and drag performers that are lined up to perform are local top talent. One of Minneapolis pride weekend best kept secret.

Demetra Williamson: The space has a main and second floor. There were big windows that let a lot of natural light it which was nice. They had family style restrooms upstairs and a men and womens on the main floor. There was a bar/sink area in the middle of the front of the upstairs area which could be great, unfortunately for the event I went to the middle bar made it a bit difficult for people on the other side of the room to seem what was going on. Overall great and I loved the giant mirror they had on the stair case landing.

I was having so much fun upstairs that I actually forgot to even visit the Wine Grotto!Beyond the venue itself, the incredible coordinator, Katherine Bailey, makes the entire process so smooth and enjoyable. Katherine is the best! She is incredibly helpful and responsive, and I am so grateful to have had her on my team.I will always remember this place so fondly. Do yourself a favor and book Semple Mansion for your wedding! 10/10 recommend.

It can be difficult to find a mansion venue that doesn't feel broken up into rooms that split up the guests, but Semple Mansion has the perfect layouts & flow for both ceremony and reception needs. It's easy to spend the entire day there and not feel like you need a change of scene. It was also super convenient to utilize the high-quality vendors that are already based within Semple Mansion. Guest parking is no problem, the ballroom is stunning, and we also loved that we could utilize the grand piano for live music during our ceremony. We couldn't dream of a better wedding venue.

Lacking the ability to conceptualize our vision for the wedding, I’d throw an idea at them and they would come up with something far more beautiful that still fell within our taste. They were quick to respond, creative, organized and, perhaps most important, passionate about their work. Truly everything you’d want out of wedding coordinators. When I was concerned about things falling through the cracks with vendors, they had already taken care of it. When we wanted to incorporate blankets to donate after the wedding, they offered to drop them off knowing we were traveling home right away. When my husband and I had conflicting opinions on welcome cocktails for guests, they suggested a compromise that ended up being a beautiful highlight of the wedding. They’re just the best. We cannot recommend them enough!

For both, I was able to share my high level designs, wants and wishes and I completely trusted them to execute my perfect day. And they did just that. That meant no stress and all fun for me while planning my wedding!Our Cabo wedding for 100 was a dream and they coordinated all of our destination vendors fantastically. When it came time to have our Minneapolis reception, unfortunately we were impacted by Covid. Pink Peony managed rescheduling everyone once and then when it became clear we would not have our reception in 2020, they managed all of the cancelations. It was heartbreaking to have to walk away from a dream reception with friends but having them manage the tough conversations made it much better. Kiara was extremely helpful throughout the whole planning process and our day turned out incredible. The day felt intimate, but was still able to hold 200 of our guests comfortably! Jackie Workman: My sons wedding was better than we could have imagined! The flowers had just popped, the large tree was raining white flowers as we arrived and continued for hours. All the venders recommended did a fantastic job as well as the event coordinator. It truly was magical. My only concern was the parking but most people used Uber or prearranged rides and we had no issues. It was fabulous.

When we first went to the venue for a tour, Janet was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and did a great job of helping us envision our wedding in the space. We decided to book the venue immediately after our tour, and we are so glad we did! It has the bright, clean vibe that we were looking for, and was more affordable than comparable venues in the area. It’s also really customizable to make your dream wedding vision come to life!Working with Kaira on the details for our wedding was also great! She was very helpful and responsive. I came to the walkthrough that we did about a month before the wedding with a ton of questions, and she answered them all before I could even ask! It was such a smooth, easy process on our end. We also loved that security was included, so we didn’t have to worry about anything!The venue is so beautiful for a winter wedding, very cozy but still spacious. We took a lot of photos outside, and it looked so beautiful with a little bit of snow on the ground! We also loved the mural on the side of the building for photos.We had our ceremony and reception in the ballroom, and the room flip during cocktail hour was totally seamless. We had a bar on the main floor and on the second floor during our cocktail hour, which was so nice to have more space for our guests and shorter lines for them to get drinks.We got so many comments from our guests on what a beautiful venue it was, and we were very happy with our choice to get married at The Blaisdell! Thank you Kaira, Janet, and Blaisdell staff for everything!!

Katie Griffith: We had our wedding at The Blaisdell and it was perfect! We had a headcount of around 140 and it was the perfect space for us. It allows for you to have the entire day in one space which is so convenient. There is a parking lot across the street for guests to utilize, in addition to street parking. We even had a live band, and there was plenty of space for that. The staff at The Blaisdell were so great and we truly enjoyed everything about the space. The space has a lot of charm on the inside, while allowing you to add your own decor and style to the space. The bridal suite was perfect too, and the wedding party really appreciated having that as a place to relax and spend the day. Would highly recommend this space! It is a hidden gem and so beautiful.

Meghan Finley: This is an absolutely incredible venue! Janet did an amazing job answering all of our questions and helping us imagine what our wedding could look like if we booked the venue. When she told us we could also hire Kaira as a day of coordinator - we knew immediately it was the right way to go. Kaira was instrumental in helping our day be as amazing as it was. If you book this venue, I HIGHLY recommend hiring Kaira as well - it was the best decision we made.

Terri St. Arnauld: For me, it was an excellent experience. Those with mobility issues might find it a little challenging if the main room needs to be emptied and re-arranged. I believe that entrance is in the back and I didn't see seating in the front area where we all waited.

Tina Tulsie: Janet and Kaira were great to work with! They were both very accommodating, informative, and quick to answer questions. The venue was perfect for our wedding and the front courtyard was amazing for our cocktail hour. The only reason I didn't give 5/5 stars is because the day-of venue coordinator was not helpful. She stayed in her office the entire day and did not seem like she wanted to be there.

Ryan Jueneman: A'bulae was an incredible venue to host our wedding at. The venue is is designed very thoughtfully and has a great space for not only the ceremony and reception, but has perfect bridal / grooms suites to get ready in and convenient parking for guests. Both the rooftop and ball room make for great spaces. (One of the main reasons we chose A'bulae was the staff and that we liked both the indoor and outdoor spaces in the event of bad weather.The staff was also exactly what we needed. From setting up our first tour, to the day of the wedding - all of the venue staff were all incredibly easy to work with. They communicated quickly, helped us make decisions, and took care of so many small details when our attention was elsewhere.

Celisia Stanton: I own Celisia Stanton Photography, and one of my clients held their wedding at A'Bulae. This GORGEOUS wedding venue has the most stunning view of St. Paul!! My clients held their ceremony on the rooftop, which was perfect for an outdoor summer wedding vibe with a distinct city feel. The reception room inside also has the most perfect floor-to-ceiling windows, which let in tons of natural light, allowing us to capture indoor photos without struggling with awkward shadows or uneven lighting that are often present in other indoor reception venues. I highly recommend A'Bulae to any couple looking for the perfect indoor-outdoor wedding venue in the heart of St Paul!

Bryan Forrester: The venue is beautiful and the staff was very efficient. However, the acoustics in the main room are terrible. It needs sound absorption treatment. There is so much reverberation that you can't understand anything being said over the sound system which is especially unfortunate at a wedding.

I was married 9 years ago and I still have friends and family commenting about how perfect my wedding venue was. Katie McCarthy: Absolutely the perfect place for our wedding! We wanted an all inclusive venue where we didn’t have to worry about set up, tear down, decor, table linens, silverware, napkins, charger plates… anything that almost all other venues do not provide! Communication with the venue leading up to our wedding day was also amazing. They made sure to reach out for information and answered our questions in a very timely manner! All of the staff was so sweet and helpful! Highly recommend!

Our bridal party loved having hotel rooms on site so everyone could just go upstairs and fall asleep after the party. Would recommend if you’re looking for that old Gatsby/historic vibe!!
