They truly made our event memorable with how they served us. Appetizers came out fresh, tasty and nonstop. Our main course was served simultaneously to all table members which was really neat!!! I highly recommend MEC for your next event! You will NOT be disappointed! These guys are top notch and know what they are doing.

Hotel Ivy, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Minneapolis: what do users think?

David De La Torre: I stayed at this hotel for four days during a conference. This hotel is very close to the conference center, made it very convenient to go back and forth. The service at the hotel and the restaurant was top notch. They upgraded me to a larger room which was like an apartment with 2 baths, an office, lounge master bedroom and huge bathroom. No complaints whatsoever!Nearby activities: Next to convention center and short walking distance to Nicollete Mall and other downtown locations.Walkability: Connected via skywalk to the convention center and short walking distance to everything in downtown.

Chance Sparks: 5-stars for an imperfect stay, because a nice hotel has to be judged by how they respond. We had a major plumbing issue well out of their control involving some kind of broke line. Maintenance was there within 5 minutes, and they had us moved to a new room with keys and a luggage cart within another 5 minutes, along with some credits. That is a level of quality response you just don’t see often, and they should be commended!

Zoey Alch: I don't even know where to begin! From the very beginning Ashley created a sense of calm within the wedding planning process, which is the exact opposite of how most people ever expect to feel. As a person who always wants to know what's going on and be a part of the planning I knew that it would be a challenge to trust someone else, but Ashley somehow defied this. I was able to put my full trust into her and in doing so she created the most magical, beautiful and happy day my husband and I could have ever dreamed of. I found myself trying to find things to stress about because she was so on top of it I had nothing to actually worry about, it was the most incredible year of wedding planning only because of Ashley and her team. Ashley has a strong and talented group of women who work along side her and have shown me and my husband nothing but love and and commitment to also helping make our day perfect. I am in awe of Ashley, her team, the work she does and the experience she creates not only for us but our guests as well. Ashley is strong, kind, resourceful, creative, resilient, loyal and an all around incredible human. October 7th 2023 was truly the best day of our lives and I will never forget the pure joy, love and happiness that was felt by us and so many that day. The compliments were endlessly coming from our guests about the details, personal touches, florals, and truly everything, it was pure magic. I am forever grateful for Ashley and the Poppati team!

Andrew Myers: The attention to detail that Ashley and her team put into our wedding day months and months and months before the actual day is nothing short of remarkable. What we admired most is that she certainly does not just tell you what you want to hear - she gives you the truth. But she doesn't just say no and move on - she is always bringing alternatives to ideas that can bring you as close to your absolute dream as possible. And that is because Ashley has already thought of every possible outcome of every possible scenario before she's even brought it to you. She helped us pick the perfect venue. She negotiated on our behalf countless times. She told us to do our ceremony outside even when the weather was suspect and we were a little nervous. And she was there for every single guest throughout the night if they needed her. Even weeks after the wedding, we had guests texting us and saying how incredible Ashley was throughout the day and how impressed they were with her call to do the ceremony outside - we are forever in debt to her for that. Ashley did what all planners should aspire to do - bring the vision to life and make the wedding appear as flawless as can be to the bride and the groom. Without Ashley's persistence, work-ethic and patience - I don't even want to think about how stressful the entire process could have been. We already miss her and would recommend her to any and all.

I am not the planning or organizing type, and I was completely overwhelmed with everything that needed to be completed, so Ashley and Poppati took care of everything! The only thing I had booked at that time was a photographer, and they not only found all of our vendors, communicated with them, negotiated discounts, but they kept us in the loop as much or as little as we wanted. Aside from taking care of all the logistics, Ashley is so TALENTED and made our wedding the most unique day! Samantha Joy Hart: I cant praise Poppati events enough. Honestly they are a five start team. Being a 2020 Bride was one of the most challenging experiences. We had to change our date 2x and with all of the rules and restrictions Ashley and her team had to basically start from scratch several times. My wedding wouldn't have happened with out all of her help and expertise. She stayed up to date on all the rules and kept us informed and still pulled off the wedding of my dreams. My caterer dropped a month out from our wedding and Ashley was able to secure a new one at an even better rate for us with no issue. The day of our wedding it was so windy and there were challenges with the set up but I never knew because her team handled it and my day was amazing. If you are looking for a wedding or party planner Poppati is the best. Highly recommend!

It was important to us to have our wedding in the city. I still can’t believe how affordable FIVE is compared to other venue. Our guests and family loved it! We had 155 people and it was spacious for everyone. We truly could not have had such of a great wedding without Victoria, the venue coordinator. She was responsive and quick to answer all my questions! She went above beyond in every single aspect of the day. Anyone would be so lucky to have her there for their special day!

They had family style restrooms upstairs and a men and womens on the main floor. There was a bar/sink area in the middle of the front of the upstairs area which could be great, unfortunately for the event I went to the middle bar made it a bit difficult for people on the other side of the room to seem what was going on. Overall great and I loved the giant mirror they had on the stair case landing.

There are ample spaces for your guests to spread out throughout the day, from the Wine Grotto in the basement to the front porch outdoors to the spacious ballroom upstairs. I was having so much fun upstairs that I actually forgot to even visit the Wine Grotto!Beyond the venue itself, the incredible coordinator, Katherine Bailey, makes the entire process so smooth and enjoyable. Katherine is the best! She is incredibly helpful and responsive, and I am so grateful to have had her on my team.I will always remember this place so fondly. Do yourself a favor and book Semple Mansion for your wedding! 10/10 recommend.

It can be difficult to find a mansion venue that doesn't feel broken up into rooms that split up the guests, but Semple Mansion has the perfect layouts & flow for both ceremony and reception needs. It's easy to spend the entire day there and not feel like you need a change of scene. It was also super convenient to utilize the high-quality vendors that are already based within Semple Mansion. Guest parking is no problem, the ballroom is stunning, and we also loved that we could utilize the grand piano for live music during our ceremony. We couldn't dream of a better wedding venue.

When I was concerned about things falling through the cracks with vendors, they had already taken care of it. When my husband and I had conflicting opinions on welcome cocktails for guests, they suggested a compromise that ended up being a beautiful highlight of the wedding. They’re just the best. We decided to book the venue immediately after our tour, and we are so glad we did! It has the bright, clean vibe that we were looking for, and was more affordable than comparable venues in the area. It’s also really customizable to make your dream wedding vision come to life!Working with Kaira on the details for our wedding was also great! She was very helpful and responsive. I came to the walkthrough that we did about a month before the wedding with a ton of questions, and she answered them all before I could even ask! It was such a smooth, easy process on our end. We also loved that security was included, so we didn’t have to worry about anything!The venue is so beautiful for a winter wedding, very cozy but still spacious. We took a lot of photos outside, and it looked so beautiful with a little bit of snow on the ground! We also loved the mural on the side of the building for photos.We had our ceremony and reception in the ballroom, and the room flip during cocktail hour was totally seamless. We had a bar on the main floor and on the second floor during our cocktail hour, which was so nice to have more space for our guests and shorter lines for them to get drinks.We got so many comments from our guests on what a beautiful venue it was, and we were very happy with our choice to get married at The Blaisdell! Thank you Kaira, Janet, and Blaisdell staff for everything!!

Katie Griffith: We had our wedding at The Blaisdell and it was perfect! We had a headcount of around 140 and it was the perfect space for us. It allows for you to have the entire day in one space which is so convenient. There is a parking lot across the street for guests to utilize, in addition to street parking. We even had a live band, and there was plenty of space for that. The staff at The Blaisdell were so great and we truly enjoyed everything about the space. The space has a lot of charm on the inside, while allowing you to add your own decor and style to the space. The bridal suite was perfect too, and the wedding party really appreciated having that as a place to relax and spend the day. Would highly recommend this space! It is a hidden gem and so beautiful.

Meghan Finley: This is an absolutely incredible venue! Janet did an amazing job answering all of our questions and helping us imagine what our wedding could look like if we booked the venue. When she told us we could also hire Kaira as a day of coordinator - we knew immediately it was the right way to go. Kaira was instrumental in helping our day be as amazing as it was. If you book this venue, I HIGHLY recommend hiring Kaira as well - it was the best decision we made.

Terri St. Arnauld: For me, it was an excellent experience. Those with mobility issues might find it a little challenging if the main room needs to be emptied and re-arranged. I believe that entrance is in the back and I didn't see seating in the front area where we all waited.

The venue was perfect for our wedding and the front courtyard was amazing for our cocktail hour. The only reason I didn't give 5/5 stars is because the day-of venue coordinator was not helpful. Ryan Jueneman: A'bulae was an incredible venue to host our wedding at. The venue is is designed very thoughtfully and has a great space for not only the ceremony and reception, but has perfect bridal / grooms suites to get ready in and convenient parking for guests. Both the rooftop and ball room make for great spaces. (One of the main reasons we chose A'bulae was the staff and that we liked both the indoor and outdoor spaces in the event of bad weather.The staff was also exactly what we needed. From setting up our first tour, to the day of the wedding - all of the venue staff were all incredibly easy to work with. They communicated quickly, helped us make decisions, and took care of so many small details when our attention was elsewhere.

The reception room inside also has the most perfect floor-to-ceiling windows, which let in tons of natural light, allowing us to capture indoor photos without struggling with awkward shadows or uneven lighting that are often present in other indoor reception venues. I highly recommend A'Bulae to any couple looking for the perfect indoor-outdoor wedding venue in the heart of St Paul!

Mookey Mae: What a perfect place for a wedding venue! Everything was fantastic, but I want to point out one specific person. Elizabeth is part of the wait staff and she “wowed” me with her pleasant & calm personality and professionalism. She was above all and second to none. She definitely made an impression on my husband and I which we will not ever forget. While they were shorthanded, everything seem to go without a hitch. Madelynn Bain: We had a wonderful NYE wedding at the Historic Concord Exchange Mansion!! So convenient to have venue, DJ, food, and alcohol provided all in one spot. Alex and Cassie the venue coordinators were quick to respond and very helpful leading up to the big day and the weekend of! If there were any issues those two were quick to figure something out. Our bridal party loved having hotel rooms on site so everyone could just go upstairs and fall asleep after the party. Would recommend if you’re looking for that old Gatsby/historic vibe!!

Molly Zupon: This spot was truly unique for a wedding! The venue was classic and really lent itself to a Halloween themed wedding! The women’s bathroom was perfect for hair and makeup stations! Big bonus were the rooms to rent so you can just go upstairs after a long evening! Thank you for all the memories!!

Flacko Bop: This is an amazing venue on the U of M campus that's open to the public and offer plenty of space for personal or private events not to mention D'Amico restaurant is also in the same building.
