Celisia Stanton: I am the owner of Celisia Stanton Photography, and one of my clients held their intimate wedding at The Neu Neu. The Neu Neu is a fantastic venue!! The getting-ready rooms have huge windows with tons of natural light, allowing us to capture indoor photos without struggling with awkward shadows or uneven lighting. The ceremony and reception took place in the same room, and the exposed brick and wood detailing provided the perfect backdrop for a moody, intimate celebration. My clients also made full use of The Neu Neu's outside space by setting up a badminton court, hiring the Style Society to provide an outdoor lounge area, and providing a Revere food truck for their guests to enjoy. Both the indoor and outdoor areas are beautiful, and I'd highly recommend The Neu Neu to anyone looking for a great venue in the heart of Minneapolis.
Chelsey: Our guest list ended up being a little larger than we originally anticipated, but Kitty and team were there to help us figure out a layout that ended up working perfectly. We received so many compliments from our guests about the venue. Our bridal party also adored the Natural Light Studio & the 3rd St. Studio. Amy Lowry: It's a beautiful venue. They lay out is eclectic and interesting. I did not get to stay very long at the event so did not get a feel for the transition from wedding to reception. There is a coffee shop attached which is amazing to me!

Their preferred catering vendors are all great too!

Jenna Scattarelli: We just recently got married at Van Dusen Mansion and had the absolute best wedding in the world! The venue is stunning with so much character and historic charm that it made us truly feel like it was a one in a million kind of venue. Our wedding was seamless with how it was laid out where the entire day is at one location moving from the mansion, ballroom, courtyard and carriage house. The best part was the team who was there for you every step of the way. When we inquired, we worked with Jenna Zamjahn in the beginning of planning stages, and we connected with her instantly where she felt like an old, trusted friend. Jenna is super knowledgeable, helpful, and just an absolute joy to work with that we knew that this was the place for our big day. Once we decided on the venue, we worked with the wedding coordinator, Monica Sanger and because of her, it was a seamless process. Monica is the best at what she does. She goes above and beyond and made us feel like her top priority, super attentive and always there for us if we needed help. Her strong work ethic, eye-to-detail, compassionate heart are what make her stand out. We are forever grateful for having to work with Jenna and Monica and the whole VDM team for our special day. If it wasn’t for them, none of it was possible. This venue and the people are truly one of a kind and anyone would be lucky to have their wedding here!

You could get lost in all the amazingly-decorated rooms and there are countless backdrops for photos. Every staff member I encountered was extremely kind and I could tell they were working hard to make the day as smooth as possible. Highly recommend!

Emily Ferrazzo: from beginning to end.Luckily, the weather cooperated for our 10/21 wedding so we had the ceremony in the courtyard, allowing for a slow but procession through the grounds as the night progressed.Anything over our guest count would’ve been tight for the ceremony space AND dining hall, so keep that in mind. We chose to add two hours in the morning for $200/hour, very much worth it and the perfect amount of time for a 10-person wedding party
Alexa Assis: The Van Dusen Mansion was the perfect venue for our small wedding. We only had about 70-75 people, which felt perfect here. The mansion is absolutely gorgeous as well. The staff was excellent to work with - on top of everything, coordinated, and friendly. I didn't have to worry about a thing. David De La Torre: I stayed at this hotel for four days during a conference. This hotel is very close to the conference center, made it very convenient to go back and forth. The service at the hotel and the restaurant was top notch. They upgraded me to a larger room which was like an apartment with 2 baths, an office, lounge master bedroom and huge bathroom. No complaints whatsoever!Nearby activities: Next to convention center and short walking distance to Nicollete Mall and other downtown locations.Walkability: Connected via skywalk to the convention center and short walking distance to everything in downtown.
Chance Sparks: 5-stars for an imperfect stay, because a nice hotel has to be judged by how they respond. We had a major plumbing issue well out of their control involving some kind of broke line. Maintenance was there within 5 minutes, and they had us moved to a new room with keys and a luggage cart within another 5 minutes, along with some credits. That is a level of quality response you just don’t see often, and they should be commended!

TCWEP Network: Incredible space for events with excellent staff. We had our Venue Tour + Vendor Meetup held on the 50th floor Windows at Marquette in downtown Minneapolis.We were so high up in the sky, one of the tallest skyscrapers in Minneapolis, the IDS building. You can seriously see for miles and miles out into the suburbs. Gorgeous spaces inside for any event with sweeping views outside with ceiling to floor windows.Marquette served a wonderful spread for brunch that included: toasted bagels slathered with cream cheese, capers and smoked salmon. Lots of fresh fruits, cantaloupe, melons, honeydew, melon, strawberries. And with the brunch theme there was wonderful toasted hashbrowns, and yummy quiche. If you're on the fence go meet with them and you'll be blown away.

Madeline Rana: Windows on Minnesota was a dream wedding venue. The views are spectacular, and bad weather won't ruin your day! We were lucky enough to have a clear, sunny day to fully enjoy the panoramic views, but going into my wedding without having to worry about a rainy day backup option gave me major peace of mind. The Marquette's team was also great to work with. They were helpful and communicative all throughout our planning process, and everything ran smoothly on the big day. The food was great, the bartenders were efficient, and everything went perfectly. They were also flexible and helped us to plan a multi-cultural fusion wedding, which was extremely important to us. Finally, having a hotel right there, across Crystal Court, made it smooth and easy for out of town guests to get to the wedding without needing to arrange special transportation. I can't imagine a better wedding venue.
Kara Haro: Working with the staff at Windows on Minnesota is a seamless process. They are communicative, pleasant and helpful and a real joy to work with. Both the planning/sales staff and the onsite staff during the event worked quickly and quietly to provide the best service for our event. The location can't be beat- your guests are in awe overlooking downtown Minneapolis and what lays beyond. Plus, the venue itself is interesting in the IDS tower, has ample parking available onsite and the furnishings and cleanliness are unparalleled. 5 stars!

Started the day with a get ready room prepared by the hotel and added on breakfast for the wedding party on the 3rd floor which was so spacious and made PERFECT get ready photos! Groomsmen used a suite to get ready in and we loved having our own spaces to keep the morning calm and special for all of us. Our ceremony was off site, but used Stars for a cocktail space for our 200 guests which had perfect views and LOVE the passed mushroom arancini appetizer!! My only recommendation is adding an extra bar

There are ample spaces for your guests to spread out throughout the day, from the Wine Grotto in the basement to the front porch outdoors to the spacious ballroom upstairs. I was having so much fun upstairs that I actually forgot to even visit the Wine Grotto!Beyond the venue itself, the incredible coordinator, Katherine Bailey, makes the entire process so smooth and enjoyable. Katherine is the best! She is incredibly helpful and responsive, and I am so grateful to have had her on my team.I will always remember this place so fondly. Do yourself a favor and book Semple Mansion for your wedding! 10/10 recommend.

It can be difficult to find a mansion venue that doesn't feel broken up into rooms that split up the guests, but Semple Mansion has the perfect layouts & flow for both ceremony and reception needs. It's easy to spend the entire day there and not feel like you need a change of scene. It was also super convenient to utilize the high-quality vendors that are already based within Semple Mansion. Guest parking is no problem, the ballroom is stunning, and we also loved that we could utilize the grand piano for live music during our ceremony. We couldn't dream of a better wedding venue.

All the venders recommended did a fantastic job as well as the event coordinator. It truly was magical. My only concern was the parking but most people used Uber or prearranged rides and we had no issues. It was fabulous.

When we first went to the venue for a tour, Janet was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and did a great job of helping us envision our wedding in the space. We decided to book the venue immediately after our tour, and we are so glad we did! It has the bright, clean vibe that we were looking for, and was more affordable than comparable venues in the area. It’s also really customizable to make your dream wedding vision come to life!Working with Kaira on the details for our wedding was also great! She was very helpful and responsive. I came to the walkthrough that we did about a month before the wedding with a ton of questions, and she answered them all before I could even ask! It was such a smooth, easy process on our end. We also loved that security was included, so we didn’t have to worry about anything!The venue is so beautiful for a winter wedding, very cozy but still spacious. We took a lot of photos outside, and it looked so beautiful with a little bit of snow on the ground! We also loved the mural on the side of the building for photos.We had our ceremony and reception in the ballroom, and the room flip during cocktail hour was totally seamless. We had a bar on the main floor and on the second floor during our cocktail hour, which was so nice to have more space for our guests and shorter lines for them to get drinks.We got so many comments from our guests on what a beautiful venue it was, and we were very happy with our choice to get married at The Blaisdell! Katie Griffith: We had our wedding at The Blaisdell and it was perfect! We had a headcount of around 140 and it was the perfect space for us. It allows for you to have the entire day in one space which is so convenient. There is a parking lot across the street for guests to utilize, in addition to street parking. We even had a live band, and there was plenty of space for that. The staff at The Blaisdell were so great and we truly enjoyed everything about the space. The space has a lot of charm on the inside, while allowing you to add your own decor and style to the space. The bridal suite was perfect too, and the wedding party really appreciated having that as a place to relax and spend the day. Would highly recommend this space! It is a hidden gem and so beautiful.
Meghan Finley: This is an absolutely incredible venue! Janet did an amazing job answering all of our questions and helping us imagine what our wedding could look like if we booked the venue. When she told us we could also hire Kaira as a day of coordinator - we knew immediately it was the right way to go. Kaira was instrumental in helping our day be as amazing as it was. If you book this venue, I HIGHLY recommend hiring Kaira as well - it was the best decision we made.
Terri St. Arnauld: For me, it was an excellent experience. Those with mobility issues might find it a little challenging if the main room needs to be emptied and re-arranged. I believe that entrance is in the back and I didn't see seating in the front area where we all waited.
Tina Tulsie: Janet and Kaira were great to work with! They were both very accommodating, informative, and quick to answer questions. The venue was perfect for our wedding and the front courtyard was amazing for our cocktail hour. The only reason I didn't give 5/5 stars is because the day-of venue coordinator was not helpful. She stayed in her office the entire day and did not seem like she wanted to be there.

Liza McNamara: It was a perfect choice for us!! It was an elegant and unique venue, which is exactly what we were looking for! We toured A BUNCH of venues, but none compared to the Gale. My husband and I were on the same page the MOMENT that we stepped out of the Gale that we had to go ahead and book it!! We loved working with Karen, the venue coordinator. She ALWAYS had impeccable communication and worked around our busy schedule. I asked her probably about one million questions, but she always answered them so happily. She was so helpful in all of my wedding planning questions before the big day! She was also the SWEETEST, she would often have mimosas waiting for me and my bridesmaids whenever we came to do some wedding planning :

Danelle: We enjoyed a wedding reception here. Odd shaped configuration but we had a separate space for appetizers and drinks and then the sit-down meal and dance in another space. Decor was nice, the appetizers were yummy, main course was good, band was great. A good time was had by all. Free Valet parking.

The space is absolutely gorgeous and they were so accommodating to our plans and set up. Our bartender for the night, Jessica, was wonderful and personable! I definitely recommend Day Block for your wedding or event!

Ty Ebert: Like most people sharing here, I was at the venue for a wedding. I moved out of downtown before this opened a while back and had only been downstairs for the pizza and music. The event spaces was well put together and appropriately sized for a 100 to 125 person wedding. There was room to get away from the dancing and chill on the balcony facing US Bank Stadium. As it happens, there was live music in the restaurant patio itself and we got to enjoy that too!The food was good and the staff seemed very responsive to moving tables around when it came time to dance and cleaning up the occasional spilled drink.

Laura Guzman: We used Day Block for our ceremony, reception, and used their bar services. We picked them primarily because they had an open catering and bar policy and the space is really naturally beautiful. Brittany was our main point of contact and she was responsive to our questions and helped us figure out different options to help the day go smoothly. We ended up renting their first floor auxiliary taproom to move people downstairs during dinner for a cocktail hour and it worked great! It was also really nice that they had tables and chairs we could use for free. The space is beautiful and much more affordable than similar spaces in Minneapolis. We did hire a day-of coordinator to help manage a lot of the details of the day and would recommend others do the same. Also, we were so glad we used their bar services! The selection was great and well priced and the bar tenders managed our rowdy crowd well!

Ashli Theis: Day Block provides a very “hands off” experience, which is what we were looking for. We were able to bring in our own caterer and bar and that saved us a lot of money. It is a stunning space and they allow you to make it your own. We were sold on all of its natural elements: brick walls, hardwood floors and natural lighting. We had about 125 guests and we all fit pretty comfortably. Their event manager Brittany was really lovely to work with – she was kind and quick to respond to all of our questions. Ethan, the person we worked with on the day of, was very helpful with all of our needs.

Laura Heilman: and the bathroom was huge. I found the shower a bit odd and the runoff from the shower curtain was a challenge until I figured out how to manage it.The bed was comfy. Environmental controls were easy to understand. The TV was huge! Accessing channels was odd. As far as I could figure out you have to negotiate an Internet connection to view anything. There were no clear instructions, so it was a bit frustrating to figure out.I have nothing but praise for the staff. They were unfailingly courteous and friendly. I was there for a conference and the catering staff were also very personable and efficient. I never interacted with the housekeeping staff. P Bouton: Good wifi, hot water, gym, maid service, and check-in. I did have a problem with being served uncooked fish at the bar which caused stomach upset for several days in the first of a 3 night stay and no one checked up on me after initially discussing the clearly undercooked dish with the chef and a manager. Otherwise a good hotel and great location to the city convention center.

S Kruger: Attended a wedding here and it was a nice place. The decor surprisingly light and sparkly, they really went heavy with the reflective surfaces. The bar was well stocked, and run. The food, which was Italian, was good and plentiful. The ceremony and reception took place in the same room and the set-up of the reception didn't take too long. My only criticisms would be the chairs were very uncomfortable by the end of the wedding and the decorative drapes were so dirty they were gray. They need to be taken down and washed. Seriously, take the time.

Ryan Jueneman: A'bulae was an incredible venue to host our wedding at. The venue is is designed very thoughtfully and has a great space for not only the ceremony and reception, but has perfect bridal / grooms suites to get ready in and convenient parking for guests. Both the rooftop and ball room make for great spaces. (One of the main reasons we chose A'bulae was the staff and that we liked both the indoor and outdoor spaces in the event of bad weather.The staff was also exactly what we needed. From setting up our first tour, to the day of the wedding - all of the venue staff were all incredibly easy to work with. They communicated quickly, helped us make decisions, and took care of so many small details when our attention was elsewhere.

My clients held their ceremony on the rooftop, which was perfect for an outdoor summer wedding vibe with a distinct city feel. The reception room inside also has the most perfect floor-to-ceiling windows, which let in tons of natural light, allowing us to capture indoor photos without struggling with awkward shadows or uneven lighting that are often present in other indoor reception venues. I highly recommend A'Bulae to any couple looking for the perfect indoor-outdoor wedding venue in the heart of St Paul!

There is so much reverberation that you can't understand anything being said over the sound system which is especially unfortunate at a wedding.

Stephen Anderson: One of my favorite venues to perform at! I’m a DJ with Complete Weddings and Events and whenever I’ve had an event here I’ve found the staff to be incredibly on top of it and flexible, and it’s a gorgeous space.

Kaitlyn Worner Kueppers: FIVE hosted our wedding recently, and we could not have had a better experience. Victoria was phenomenal. She listened to our needs, was quick to respond to our questions, worked well with our day of coordinator, and helped bring our vision to life. Several of our guests commented on how smoothly the day went. The space itself is beautiful, close to several places for guests to explore, and near many lakes for photos. We highly recommend FIVE Event Center for any event!
Hannah Rohlinger: Our wedding at FIVE was everything we imagined and more! The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous and my favorite part was it really speaks for itself, doesn’t need much added! It was important to us to have our wedding in the city. I still can’t believe how affordable FIVE is compared to other venue. Our guests and family loved it! We had 155 people and it was spacious for everyone. We truly could not have had such of a great wedding without Victoria, the venue coordinator. She was responsive and quick to answer all my questions! She went above beyond in every single aspect of the day. Anyone would be so lucky to have her there for their special day!
Vicki Kueppers: We just had a wedding in October of 2023 and everything could not have been more perfect. Victoria from the venue was so organized, helpful, and executed our plans perfectly... going above and beyond all day, even helping with some decor. This space is so beautiful, clean, and spacious. Both the cater and bartenders were wonderful as well. Five Event Center made the wedding day truly low-stress and we would do it all over again with them. Thank you!!
T'mone Kleindl: This was a fantastic space for our wedding reception.The speaker system could use an upgrade, but it is by no means a deal breaker.There was some difficulty with communication on the day of the reception, but we are partly at fault for this.The staff takes themselves seriously, which can be both good and bad, and they very clearly take pride in their work
Megan Jeddeloh: - spacious enough not to feel crowded but still intimate and inviting. Their catering partner DECO was awesome and the venue manager Victoria was fantastic to work with. We couldn't have imagined a better day and we would absolutely hold another event at FIVE!
Brityn Thompson: We loved our experience at The Five! This venue had everything we needed, room for getting ready, downtown feeling, a nice inviting space for our guests, and it was affordable! We loved working with their staff and felt well taken care of and listened to. The photos were STUNNING in their space. Can’t recommend it enough!

Bradley George: Bryant lake bowl pride block party, Minneapolis Pride on the Friday during pride week is a must. Crowd is alternate, fun, and there to have a good time! Local bands, djs and drag performers that are lined up to perform are local top talent. One of Minneapolis pride weekend best kept secret.
Demetra Williamson: The space has a main and second floor. There were big windows that let a lot of natural light it which was nice. They had family style restrooms upstairs and a men and womens on the main floor. There was a bar/sink area in the middle of the front of the upstairs area which could be great, unfortunately for the event I went to the middle bar made it a bit difficult for people on the other side of the room to seem what was going on. Overall great and I loved the giant mirror they had on the stair case landing.
Madeline Yanz: I can not recommend this venue enough! I recently took part in a fashion show hosted at FIVE Event Center, and I was blown away by the beautiful space, the atmosphere they created there, and their wonderful venue manager Victoria. She was SO kind and helpful throughout the evening. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Scott Sitron DJ: What an amazing wedding Five is and everything is perfect. The bathrooms are clean and all of the windows look like they had just been washed. Every detail was taken care of perfectly.The management and staff are beyond friendly and the layout is perfect! The acoustics made the sound of my speakers. So delightful. I received two compliments about the quality of the sound.
