Avi Yardley: I had a big project: To remove the shearling lining of an existing coat and then tailor it into a coat-length shearling leather vest. Rose would be adding a two-way zipper, tanned-leather trim all around, reversing the pocket and all the while thoughtfully envisioning the design, balance and aesthetic of the final product. The vest is beautiful, her attention to detail is impeccable and the result is quite the conversation starter. Time, effort, care and commitment, along with skill and experience, has once again won Rose another very happy customer!

James Dietrich: After a suspicious "requirement" to replace my furnace from a Big Box HVAC company, I called Welter Heating. Travis showed up, took a look, and found that someone had adjust the gas pressure way to high, causing more flame, more combustion, and more CO2 emissions. Travis adjusted the gas to the proper level and found emissions were fine. Gave some suggestions for airflow, but didn't try to "sell" me anything. This will be my GoTo HVAC company from now on.

All the inventory is in very good shape, though. Some items have easily spotted minor imperfections, but most look brand new and in perfect condition to me.They are only open on the weekend, and people start to line up 30 or 40 minutes before the doors open. The line gets long, but moves a lot faster than you'd expect. Once, I was as at the end of the longest line I've seen there, and I waited about 30 minutes before I was in the door.Once you're inside, it's a bit hectic. Lots of people scrambling to look through the inventory. Once you find something you want, you flag down an employee who marks the item as sold, and gives you a tag to take to the register.The staff is fantastic. Very helpful and friendly. They do a great job managing the chaos. Without such a high quality staff, the place would be anarchy. Can't praise them enough.Once you've made a purchase, you can choose to have your items delivered

Steven: Deals can be had on quality Room & Board furniture but manage your expectations. 1st, it does take some time to get in the store when they open on Sat and also checking out takes some time. Expect to spend 90 mins to 2 hours here. 2nd, selection varies every weekend so there's a chance you won't see anything good on the day you go and all the hot deals will be gone by Sat afternoon. They do deliver and it's a flat fee no matter how many items so that is a bargain! Don't need to rent a truck and find help to move.

Lee Munnich Jr: My cord on my blind was jammed. After figuring out how to take the blind down on YouTube, I brought it to We Fix Blinds in Crystal, MN. He unjammed my cord quickly and didn’t charge me for it. He also gave me a couple of those plastic butterflies that hold the cords and keep them from dangling on the floor to prevent a safety hazard. A few years back, they restrung the cords on a blind at a very reasonable price. I’ll go back to them again the next time I have a blind problem.

The shop is filled with cool retro light fixtures. There was no wait and they used some unorthodox but effective techniques to machine and make my fixture come together. I’m so relieved, all these big box stores and chains couldn’t do a thing and were put to shame by this awesome independent shop.

Kelly Killian: John and his team deserve your business. I never leave Google reviews, however, after the experience I have had, it needs to be done. I have a fully paid off Subaru with a little over 100K miles. I have taken the car to Turbo Tims and a shop in Maple Grove. Both shops quoted me around $3K to fix leaking valves. Turns out, I need valve cover gaskets replaced not valve covers. The job is $600 not $3,000 that was quoted from the other shops.Today I went to Blvd Autoworks in NE Minneapolis. I needed my left axle replaced. Was quoted $500 for this and was told my breaks needed replacing which Blvd quoted me almost $800 for the front two break pads and rotors. I called John and asked him to quote me for both the axle and breaks. His quote was $300 less total. I googled the parts and Blvd up charged the price of all parts.I get to John at Lowry Repair Center and they show me the parts and the condition of my breaks. They did not recommend a break exchange and showed me that all four break pads were 5 mm at least.Honest and trustworthy guys, fair prices, and free education. I could not recommend them more. Give them your business, save your money and prevent yourself from being tricked into outrageous prices elsewhere. Go to Lowry Repair Center. His team will be getting my business going forward. I appreciate the money that they saved me and the education and time they spent teaching me about my car.

Sofia Bisbocci: I don’t usually leave reviews for businesses or products, but Nelson’s has been a great place for my vehicle maintenance and servicing. I have a Fiat with European features and parts that aren’t easy for mechanics to navigate. I started going to Nelson’s after they were recommended to me by a friend. This friend, who also had a Fiat, had struggled similarly with finding an auto body shop that was able to perform maintenance/correct damages and didn’t overcharge simply on the premise of the make and model of my vehicle. I routinely visit Nelson’s for oil changes and I also trust them with my car when the dashboard is moody and I need something looked at. There have been several instances when Nelson’s has gone beyond being a 9-5 auto shop and has quite literally come to my rescue, even after hours. My thesis statement is that if you need a place that charges reasonably and does the job and more, this place is absolutely worth your time and dollar. They do honest work and are very easy to schedule with.

They aren't over priced and don't try and over charge for simple things. I don't live in the area anymore and still drive the 30 some odd miles to bring my car to them. Only shop I trust. We had brought our car in just to change the tires, and it was so nice of them to help with that too!

Tj Harrington: Been delivering here for almost 3 years now and never had a issue. They will help knock your edge protectors down to help speed up the unloading. They usually have 2 to 3 forklifts unloading so it goes pretty quick. Recently they also let me break a ton if ice off my trailer and let me use their shovel to remove it from my trailer at their facility. Thank you and keep up the good work.

They do their best to save me money while still maintaining a high level of safety and quality.If there is a problem they're not equipped to handle, they refer me to another shop who can help. Their referrals are equally conscientious.This week, the hinges on my rear window went out. I called them in a bit of a panic, since they would have been closed by the time I was able to get there. They said that they would wait for me, and they did. They ordered the parts, which came the next day. The car was fixed within 24 hours.
