Dream Haven Books & Comics: what do users think?

Dan Vogel: A place to get lost in so much to see

Emily Mattson: This is a hidden gem! I had no idea this store was here and just happened to be driving by and decided to stop it. I could have spent hours in this store! So many options for books, comics and mementos. They have used books, new books, multiple different prints in some cases. I was so happy to find a couple books I've run out of luck finding hardcover versions of. The staff was very pleasant and I can't wait to bring more of my friends here to check it out!

Michael Freeman: I have spent countless hours in this store

Andy Brynildson: One of the best bookstores in the state! So much treasure to find!

Steven Stwalley: .... definitely one of the best in the area

Karen Cowley: A little bit of something for everyone... New, used, SF/fantasy, comics, pulp fiction, smut, movie posters, rare books, signed books, and that used book store smell I know and love so well. A treat, for sure!

Paulina Higgins: I was able to find a couple of book series that I thought were pretty unknown. Will absolutely go there again!!

Jesus Vazquez: I went with my daughter and found the store to be something of the past. Horror incorporated

Tim Avers: When a bookseller is positively reviewed by Harlan Ellison, you can rest assured you’re in the right place. Unsurpassed selection in their specializations. I could easily spend a day and a small fortune at DreamHaven without regret.

Sami G: Super fun to look around. There is so much to see. Staff was friendly and helped me find what I was looking for.

Hector Ornelas: I really love this place and enjoy my time there. I’ve had the pleasure of talking to Ryan who was more than welcoming and helped me with what I was looking for. I’ve been there a few times now and always look forward to stopping by and see what kind of cool stuff I can find there. I normally don’t leave reviews but this place is well worth the effort!

Jarrod: The only bad thing I can say about this store are the hours. Amazing curation and selection.

The environment just gives great vibes and negativity is a past thought once you enter. They have everything from vintage toys, current toys, cards, comics, and all in between. Comic Book College: what do users think?

Brant Deppa: Супер потрясающий выбор и обслуживание клиентов! Слава!!

david grilz: Тонны комиксов. Дружелюбный персонал.

Shoumit Karnik: продаются по приличной цене, но для очень старых версий я бы предпочел «Ностальгию». Они также подготовили рейтинговые комиксы для заинтересованных коллекционеров.

Michael Freeman:

Tammy bear: Отличный магазин и персонал

Liam Briggs: Love this place. Friendly, fun, organized, clean, and somehow has almost every back issue I’m looking for.Would love to see some more inviting signage as entering is a little off putting the first time but once you’re inside it’s great. Favorite comics store in the twin cities.

Christina Huesman: Was kinda hard to find but well worth it

Casey Clay: Comic Book College has one of the largest selections of comic books in the Twin Cities. The staff are friendly, and the books are very well organized. Most back issues have an estimated grade listed and are reasonably priced. They also have an area for children's/kids' comic books, a nice selection of slabs and wall books, as well as bags, boards, and boxes.

Diana Eide: Super clean and well organized. Good stock of back issues.

Devon Dunford: Overall the place is very large and it seems like they have a wide selection of everything but it doesn’t seem like they have a lot of old stuff. I get why a lot of people like this place but they just don’t really have what I’m looking for in terms of comics.

Ted Curtis: Awesome new Comic book store in the old industrial area east of Snelling on Cty Rd C. New stuff, and vast amounts of back stock. Graphic novels, gifts, etc. Friendly staff, lots of parking.

Mathieu Bernadac: Wow, the pics and vids don't do this place justice. Tons and tons of back issues, fairly prices and graded. Plenty of rare CGC graded key issues along with many action figures, TPBs and anything else comic book related. One of the best comic shops I've visited.

Ian Tanttari: Huge inventory, helpful staff. Great comic book store.

Nat's Uptown Books: what do users think?

Aaron T. Rose: Nat’s has everything you could ask for. Dusty books, a cute bunny, a surly Gen X owner 10/10. No notes.

Anna Subialka: The owner and his bunny are so awesome and kind! Tiny little bookstore that is a little disorganized but totally unique. Seems like it came out of a novel. Zoro is a sweet bunny and definitely runs the place in his bunny fashion. Stop for the bunny and stay for the fun books you can find!

S B: A cute eclectic bookstore. They have a resident bunny named Zoro who likes to eat raisins. My heart…Also found a book by a local author and so far it’s amazing. 10/10 would recommend.

Juan Reyes: Great little book store. Plan to be there for a while, there's so many books across a vast array of genres.

Maisie Johnson: Such a fun bookstore to browse; I immediately found something that caught my eye. Highly recommend a visit, at the very least to see the bunny that hangs out in the store!

Kathy Winterburn: Be prepared for digging through boxes and boxes of books when u visit this treasure trove of a used book store. Staff are very well-read and provide endless book talk if coaxed in any fashion!

The Other Dude: Very cozy little book store, some rare finds here. The store clerk was very helpful and friendly as well.

Davi Gray: OK, never knew this place was here, but if you love books like I love books it is a little piled-high dusty slice of heaven. AND there's a bunny you can pet. Seriously, the book selection here is like dying and going to lit heaven.

Angelita Babineau: Unique bookstore with mountains of books. Friendly owner and adorable bunny! Worth paying a visit📚

Paperback Exchange: what do users think?

Dan Vogel: So much for so little

Will P: What an amazing and welcoming bookstore! It’s so nice to be greeted in a genuine fashion by someone who is interested in their customers. This is a charming little shop absolutely packed with paperbacks. It’s definitely worth a visit!

Kennedy Kell: Fun store with a wide variety of books and friendly staff!

Jim Blackwood: This cozy little store has a wide variety of books. It is fun to stop in and look around. I always leave with five or six books

marla einck: I love funky little unique places, and the Paperback Exchange was a gem I was delighted to find. I visit my son and his family in Minneapolis about once a month and like to take long walks near the lakes while I'm there. The PE will be one of my walking destinations from now on. I am a fan of recycled books and was lucky enough to find three of the books on my 2024 book club list. Their discount pricing is a bonus. If you bring in used books to exchange, you get a larger discount on their new and used books that you purchase. The sales associate made the shopping exoeriece even more fun. NOTE: Katty corner across Penn and 50th is also a consignment clothing store. Double score!!!

Clayton Haapala: Fun bookstore, had more current inventory than expected. They were able to look up inventory for us and we found what we were looking for.

Logan V.: and give you that for in-store credit. Explaining this further, this means if I give them a 10 dollar book they will give me 10 dollars in credit. I can then pick a book for 10 dollars

Andre Wells: They are simply the bestBetter than all the rest!!!

Eli Johnson: What a great used book store! I live nearby and come in anytime i have a hankering for something. Don’t let their modest retail windowfront fool you; the store stretches deep and they have a lot of stuff. And it has that fabulous iconic “old book” smell, which in today’s world, seems to be a bygone thing.

Eric Karn: They were the only book shop in town willing to order me a rare English book. That was 10 years ago and I've been shopping with them ever since. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, affordable, I love paperback exchange!

Archiva: The best bookstore in the world.

Diane Sanso: was super helpful and gave some great info, too. If we ever get back to MSP, we'll go there first!

Ary Lu: My favorite local bookstore :3

Salma: Cute bookstore!!! I couldn’t really find good books here but nevertheless I enjoyed my visit.

The Book House in Dinkytown: what do users think?

Harry Weisenborn: amazing selection, very reasonably prices

Tovin Sannes-Venhuizen (Tovin): Greatly enjoyed my visit to this bookstore, the staff was wonderfully helpful in helping me attempt to find a few specific books and the books were reasonably priced. I was especially happy with the large Natural History and Ecology section.I was amused by the sorting of the books meant for readers with perhaps questionable tastes, where the four sections were sorted into “Smut / Filth / Sleaze / Erotica”One common theme i’ve noticed in many small bookstores is the prevalence of communist literature, while I do not necessarily disagree with it, it’s an interesting trend between stores. Would’ve enjoyed talking to the staff about their opinions but ran out of time, perhaps on my next visit.Free books on cart in street, enjoyed browsing them as well.

Halley Boesen: 🍉❤ Amazing bookstore with so much queer and political history. Chill atmosphere, friendly staff, and fair prices! They also have graphic novels, comics, local zines, and a free zine library right when you walk in!

Em Christie: The Book House in Dinkytown is like a TARDIS - it’s bigger on the inside! What looked like a small shop revealed a maze of stacked shelves, all clearly labeled and organized, so finding what I was looking for was easy peasy. The staff were helpful and friendly. And IT SMELLS FANTASTIC in there. That book smell - gets ya every time!

Jim Miller: Today was my very first visit. I should have been there long time ago. I was impressed by the selection and quality of chess books. More importantly, I was impressed by the kindess and helpfulness of the bookseller. He was very polite even before opening the store! I felt like I was visiting family: very welcome. I loved the cozy atmosphere of the store. Put another way, if I could give The Book House five HUNDRED stars, it would make my grade more accurate. Thank you.

David Behsman: This is a fantastic book store! I was pleasantly surprised at the great selection. The prices are very fair as well.

April Gentling: Been here a couple of times. Such a cute lil place. Love going in and looking around. It feels like a maze!! Super fun and the people there are very helpful.

Lilly: Absolutely love this little bookstore. They have a unique selection that caters to nearly anybody and at such good prices. Store owners are kind. I could sit in this place all day, everyday.

Emily Feicht: We love the sheer number of non fiction books and foreign language works! Classics and newer works are widely available. Lots of hard covers, even before discussing the rare books. There's a rewards program and periodic sales by genre. It's well traveled with lots of stock turnover.

Erika J. Worley: Walls of books!!!!!!

jon hinton: Wonderful little book store.

Camille McCallum: The Book House in Dinkytown is an absolute treasure trove for book enthusiasts! This vintage bookstore is a hidden gem in Minneapolis, boasting an impressive collection that includes rare first editions, signed copies, and collector's editions. The variety across genres is extensive, ensuring there's something for every literary taste. The charm of discovering hidden literary gems adds an exciting element to the browsing experience. The staff's friendliness and helpfulness enhance the overall atmosphere, making each visit a delightful journey through literary history. If you're a book lover seeking unique finds, The Book House in Dinkytown is a must-visit destination, earning it a well-deserved five stars!

Patrick Merz: Great bookstore. Nice little record section, too.

Brett Roberts: This was a great find in the Twin Cities for used books. They have a wide selection of topics and friendly staff.

Dave Campbell: Great independently owned bookstore with a wide variety. Staff are very knowledgeable and welcoming.

Source Comics & Games: what do users think?

Joseph Gosewisch: Always a good time.

Kat: This is our second time visiting the area and of course we had to stop in to the Source. It's basically nerd heaven, or at least what I'd think nerd heaven looks like. There is something for everyone's flavor of hobby. It's so much fun to just walk around and look at everything. The place is huge with so many things to check out and not enough time in the day to do it. Staff is so friendly and really a delight, I can't imagine this place isn't fun to work at. Wish we lived closer!

Chris Wesrmn: Outgoing staff. When I had difficulty someone was helpful.

Kehtari Scott: They were so Amazing 👏🏾 🤩

Wayne Johnson: . I never leave without buying something!

Bob Engelstad: Great store selection and their staff were very helpful

Michael Gabiou: Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Kim DeRider: Huge selection and always friendly.

Albert Danielson: A big space for all your nerdy needs. Warhammer, Magic the Gathering, and comics are the main pulls, but they have manga, gunpla, various board and card games, packs of Yugioh, a station for Pokemon, shelves of other TCG/CCG games like Dragonball Super, and much more. Weekly card game tournaments. Polite staff. Solid website with a lot of the info you may need. Get the discount card if you are spending over $100 here in a year. Didn't find a customer wifi setup. Lots of food nearby for before and after shopping. Located conveniently on Snelling Ave near A stop for the A Line rapid transit bus.

J Micah A: Love this place.

Marti Benson: A good selection of items, knowledgeable staff, and a nice open place to play. They have fun gaming events. It's a good place to get to know people who like what you like.

Smc: This place lives up to the hype. D&D, Comic books, Manga, all types of gaming here. The staff is knowledgable and friendly and the price are very fair. I think they don't have it. You might be out of luck locally. Definitely check them out.

Heather Schultz: There's something for everyone. Large space for gaming

Missy Isles: Awesome store! They have a great selection of graphic novels and games. There is a big playing area.

Finnbar Hodges: Great "nerdy" store, a fine selection of comics, roleplaying supplies, books, and much more. Would definitely recommend if you're into those sorts of things. The D&D corner is always kept tidy for those who want to play, which I really appreciate. The staff is helpful and usually more than willing to explain what you're buying if you don't understand.

A M: I found this place by chance the night before, when I was looking for coffee shops in the area. This is a pretty small space, but very warm and inviting. These folks are still practicing covid safety protocols which is extremely reassuring, and they have an expansive selection of leftist political books, various categories ranging from theory and history to cooking and mental wellness. They even have children's and young adult books! There's something in here for everyone, and I'm really glad I visited. Will definitely be back whenever I find myself in the area again!

Magers & Quinn Booksellers: what do users think?

Terry J: Wow! Great selection and even better staff. I ordered two books online for in-store pickup. There was some confusion as to the whereabouts of book #2 but the store clerk made it her mission to find it long after I had resigned to not getting the book this day. Well, she succeeded. Do NOT buy on Amazon. Support independent booksellers. You get more than just great literature. You get passionate, helpful humans.

Tiko Lieou: Great to have this independent bookstore in the neighborhood. With so many businesses closing in Uptown, glad to see they're still doing pretty well. It's nice they seem to always have a weekly author event. Big plus for being dog friendly with treats at the front.

Miranda Montes: I love this shop! I am new to the area and happened to walk past and check it out. They have a large selection of both new and used books, along with gifts and stationery. The staff was so helpful. They helped me find a used copy of a book I was looking for at a great price. I've been back since my first visit, and am sure I will be back many times in the future. For a perfect little 'self care' treat on a weekday I highly suggest stopping in and picking up a new book and then making your way over to Kim's a couple of doors down for a happy hour drink while you start your new book.

Will P: An uptown landmark and a Minneapolis destination for all book lovers and avid readers!

Terry O'Dell: Vast and extremely large bookstore in Minneapolis. Can get lost in the rows of books with many to choose from. Worth a stop if you're a book fan.

Andy Acker: Longtime fan of this bookstore: a lot of new and used books that are well- organized by section, and also laid out for the hungry mind that loves to explore ideas and find new things, rather than only what you're looking for. I hope they stay there forever.

Sean McStravick: Such a great store. Well curated selection of both new and used books and an awesome staff.

Devin Oglesbee: Outstanding service on a busy Saturday. Accidentally crossed paths with M&Q while enjoying a sunny weekend in Uptown. Asked for help with finding a paperback copy of The Boys in the Boat. Who knew that they had a “Sport Section?” The desk attendant was happy to help and knowledgeable.

Toni Knorr: Extremely helpful and kind staff. Great selection of books! The entire place gives a feeling that makes you want to browse for hours.

Sophina So: . I will not be selling here again.

Jonathan Heart: Hey, Magers & Quinn: I exclusively bike to your store. Ya hear? You're a great bookstore with great staff. But quit with the parking spots agenda. Sell books please.

Arthur Fermor: best bookstore

Halley Boesen: I've been buying books from this store for a long time. They have an excellent selection and great variety. Lots of very queer and very leftist content! Love it.

Tori Wensloff: great local bookstore! could wander for hours, great selection and very fun that they’re open late, you don’t see a lot of late night bookstores. i keep coming back!

Josephine Morris: I absolutely adore this bookstore. I first discovered it a couple of years ago, and keep coming back for more. They have an extremely wide collection of books, puzzle, notebooks, ect. There really is something for everyone here. The feeling of walking into Magers and Quinn is wonderful and doesn't compare to a large chain like Barns N' Noble. Support your local indie bookstores!

Half Price Books: what do users think?

Don Draeger: Staff is very helpful and friendly.

Kaiyeh R Quiah: Book sellers should as well know their products!

Katelyn H: This is my favorite place to sell my books, and also to buy used books. The employees are very helpful, and the store is set up in a way that is very comfortable to browse. You might not get a lot of money for selling your books, but they pay you cash. They buy them for cheap because they sell them cheap, and it's amazing.

Angela Anderson: One of my favorite places to shop in-person. I always check here fist when I'm looking for a specific book. Also a great place to go if you're looking for a unique gift idea. Very friendly staff, and you never know what you might find!

J E: Always fun to stop and poke around for bargins!!

Shea Bartel: Great selection, friendly staff! One of my favorite book stores

Alan Stanley: Fast and Friendly!❤️

Megan Davis: Was in town for work, just went in for something to do one evening. Loved this bookstore. I ended up buying 4 books, 2 of which were hardback, for $35. Great selection and prices.

Arc's Value Village Thrift Store & Donation Center: what do users think?

M R: its one of the main ones that I go to

Cole C.: I had higher expectations in terms of clothes. Overall mediocre quality and just not my style personally. Home decor and kitchenware wasn’t bad though — I got soba noodle dishes and a muffin tin.

Toni Hemmati: Always find something i need. Great staff. Good discount
