Devon R.: , this little bookstore instantly became a new favorite place to stop by when i'm in the area.

Dan Vogel: What a gem of a store

Kainoa Kenela: Coolest bookstore I've ever been to. Folks volunteering there are very nice and the selection is wonderful. If I lived in the cities I'd stop by weekly!

Natalie Lopresti: This shop is incredibly cute! Good books, some artwork, etc. Some items are on a sliding scale for price which is great.

Davi Gray: Legit community-based bookstore for the people.

Kori G: Just a great book store all around!!

Brandon Nunnery: These people do great work there. Amazing selections of books. Important community resources

A M: I found this place by chance the night before, when I was looking for coffee shops in the area. This is a pretty small space, but very warm and inviting. These folks are still practicing covid safety protocols which is extremely reassuring, and they have an expansive selection of leftist political books, various categories ranging from theory and history to cooking and mental wellness. They even have children's and young adult books! There's something in here for everyone, and I'm really glad I visited. Will definitely be back whenever I find myself in the area again!

JM Storton: A powerful selection of prose that will inform & inspire ✨️ 🙌 ✨️

Kate Urmann: Such a sweet beautiful place with amazing art markets and pop ups!

James & Mary Laurie Bookseller: what do users think?

Nish Andran: This is one of those bookstores that you go to if you're looking for rarer non-fiction books. They have some fiction and common stuff too, but specialize in hardcovers, rare prints, and first edition non-fictions. As someone who loathes the average bookstores that have small selections of run of the mill non-fiction books, this place was a treat!

Carlos Figari: Small antique book store. Posters and maps are scattered around, some on the floor.

Gavin Matts: i had quite an incredible shop at this bookstore. it’s such a wonderful archive and i feel better about everything for having visited.

Lisa Schaffer-Harris: Huge selection of used, old and rare books.

Ho Ly: Awesome gem of a book store!

Laura Kennedy Gilman: Great selection, fair prices, wonderful people

John Mueller: Jim has been a good friend for more than 20 years and I often go just to visitBut it must be remembered that he is an expert in antiquarian books in general and has a very good selection of books, vinyl and maps and prints to choose from. Plus he can find just about anything he doesn't have in the store. He is a nationally known expert in the field and I couldn't be more positive in recommending Jim and the store to anyone looking for a specific book or record. It is a dynamite store!

Jeezus Beezus: Amazing store, stunning. The taller owner was prejudiced n thought I was stealing books tho even with the receipt sitting on top of them. The shorter owner was absolutely lovely.

Jared Morton: Impressive store. A lot of inventory, mostly in old or collectible editions. Very good customer service.

Brian: Wide variety of books. A lot of first editions. Friendly staff.

Magers & Quinn Booksellers: what do users think?

Terry J: Wow! Great selection and even better staff. I ordered two books online for in-store pickup. There was some confusion as to the whereabouts of book #2 but the store clerk made it her mission to find it long after I had resigned to not getting the book this day. Well, she succeeded. Do NOT buy on Amazon. Support independent booksellers. You get more than just great literature. You get passionate, helpful humans.

Tiko Lieou: Great to have this independent bookstore in the neighborhood. With so many businesses closing in Uptown, glad to see they're still doing pretty well. It's nice they seem to always have a weekly author event. Big plus for being dog friendly with treats at the front.

Miranda Montes: I love this shop! I am new to the area and happened to walk past and check it out. They have a large selection of both new and used books, along with gifts and stationery. The staff was so helpful. They helped me find a used copy of a book I was looking for at a great price. I've been back since my first visit, and am sure I will be back many times in the future. For a perfect little 'self care' treat on a weekday I highly suggest stopping in and picking up a new book and then making your way over to Kim's a couple of doors down for a happy hour drink while you start your new book.

Will P: An uptown landmark and a Minneapolis destination for all book lovers and avid readers!

Terry O'Dell: Vast and extremely large bookstore in Minneapolis. Can get lost in the rows of books with many to choose from. Worth a stop if you're a book fan.

Andy Acker: Longtime fan of this bookstore: a lot of new and used books that are well- organized by section, and also laid out for the hungry mind that loves to explore ideas and find new things, rather than only what you're looking for. I hope they stay there forever.

Sean McStravick: Such a great store. Well curated selection of both new and used books and an awesome staff.

Devin Oglesbee: Outstanding service on a busy Saturday. Accidentally crossed paths with M&Q while enjoying a sunny weekend in Uptown. Asked for help with finding a paperback copy of The Boys in the Boat. Who knew that they had a “Sport Section?” The desk attendant was happy to help and knowledgeable.

Toni Knorr: Extremely helpful and kind staff. Great selection of books! The entire place gives a feeling that makes you want to browse for hours.

Sophina So: . I will not be selling here again.

Jonathan Heart: Hey, Magers & Quinn: I exclusively bike to your store. Ya hear? You're a great bookstore with great staff. But quit with the parking spots agenda. Sell books please.

Arthur Fermor: best bookstore

Halley Boesen: I've been buying books from this store for a long time. They have an excellent selection and great variety. Lots of very queer and very leftist content! Love it.

Tori Wensloff: great local bookstore! could wander for hours, great selection and very fun that they’re open late, you don’t see a lot of late night bookstores. i keep coming back!

Josephine Morris: I absolutely adore this bookstore. I first discovered it a couple of years ago, and keep coming back for more. They have an extremely wide collection of books, puzzle, notebooks, ect. There really is something for everyone here. The feeling of walking into Magers and Quinn is wonderful and doesn't compare to a large chain like Barns N' Noble. Support your local indie bookstores!

Composey Music: The best bookshop for kids and adults! The librarians really care about the books they bring to their readers. They will help search out a long-lost story and are passionate about great suggestions. Consider getting gifts and good reads from this fabulous place!

Tesla Mitchell: Cozy and personal, this bookstore was a delight to go in! Loved the handwritten notes on shelves from customers and staff giving recommendations or thoughts on the books they've read. Anna Subialka: The owner and his bunny are so awesome and kind! Tiny little bookstore that is a little disorganized but totally unique. Seems like it came out of a novel. Zoro is a sweet bunny and definitely runs the place in his bunny fashion. Stop for the bunny and stay for the fun books you can find!

S B: A cute eclectic bookstore. They have a resident bunny named Zoro who likes to eat raisins. My heart…Also found a book by a local author and so far it’s amazing. 10/10 would recommend.

Maisie Johnson: Such a fun bookstore to browse; I immediately found something that caught my eye. Highly recommend a visit, at the very least to see the bunny that hangs out in the store!

The Book House in Dinkytown: what do users think?

Harry Weisenborn: amazing selection, very reasonably prices

Tovin Sannes-Venhuizen (Tovin): Greatly enjoyed my visit to this bookstore, the staff was wonderfully helpful in helping me attempt to find a few specific books and the books were reasonably priced. I was especially happy with the large Natural History and Ecology section.I was amused by the sorting of the books meant for readers with perhaps questionable tastes, where the four sections were sorted into “Smut / Filth / Sleaze / Erotica”One common theme i’ve noticed in many small bookstores is the prevalence of communist literature, while I do not necessarily disagree with it, it’s an interesting trend between stores. Would’ve enjoyed talking to the staff about their opinions but ran out of time, perhaps on my next visit.Free books on cart in street, enjoyed browsing them as well.

Halley Boesen: 🍉❤ Amazing bookstore with so much queer and political history. Chill atmosphere, friendly staff, and fair prices! They also have graphic novels, comics, local zines, and a free zine library right when you walk in!

Em Christie: The Book House in Dinkytown is like a TARDIS - it’s bigger on the inside! What looked like a small shop revealed a maze of stacked shelves, all clearly labeled and organized, so finding what I was looking for was easy peasy. The staff were helpful and friendly. And IT SMELLS FANTASTIC in there. That book smell - gets ya every time!

Jim Miller: Today was my very first visit. I should have been there long time ago. I was impressed by the selection and quality of chess books. More importantly, I was impressed by the kindess and helpfulness of the bookseller. He was very polite even before opening the store! I felt like I was visiting family: very welcome. I loved the cozy atmosphere of the store. Put another way, if I could give The Book House five HUNDRED stars, it would make my grade more accurate. Thank you.

David Behsman: This is a fantastic book store! I was pleasantly surprised at the great selection. The prices are very fair as well.

April Gentling: Been here a couple of times. Such a cute lil place. Love going in and looking around. It feels like a maze!! Super fun and the people there are very helpful.

Lilly: Absolutely love this little bookstore. They have a unique selection that caters to nearly anybody and at such good prices. Store owners are kind. I could sit in this place all day, everyday.

Emily Feicht: We love the sheer number of non fiction books and foreign language works! Classics and newer works are widely available. Lots of hard covers, even before discussing the rare books. There's a rewards program and periodic sales by genre. It's well traveled with lots of stock turnover.

Erika J. Worley: Walls of books!!!!!!

jon hinton: Wonderful little book store.

Camille McCallum: The Book House in Dinkytown is an absolute treasure trove for book enthusiasts! This vintage bookstore is a hidden gem in Minneapolis, boasting an impressive collection that includes rare first editions, signed copies, and collector's editions. The variety across genres is extensive, ensuring there's something for every literary taste. The charm of discovering hidden literary gems adds an exciting element to the browsing experience. The staff's friendliness and helpfulness enhance the overall atmosphere, making each visit a delightful journey through literary history. If you're a book lover seeking unique finds, The Book House in Dinkytown is a must-visit destination, earning it a well-deserved five stars!

Patrick Merz: Great bookstore. Nice little record section, too.

Brett Roberts: This was a great find in the Twin Cities for used books. They have a wide selection of topics and friendly staff.

Dave Campbell: Great independently owned bookstore with a wide variety. Staff are very knowledgeable and welcoming.

Next Chapter Booksellers: what do users think?

Laura N: Next Chapter Booksellers is the main place where I buy books. They have a great set of tables right inside the door that typically carry what I want to read. The staff are chill and friendly and they write good recommendations. While the book clubs organized at Next Chapter aren't my particular taste, I like that they exist.I take one star off because the hours are a little tough for someone who works full time. 10-5 on weekdays means I can only stop in to pick up on weekends. Certainly not the end of the world, but I'd love to be able to browse quietly at the end of a workday.

Kate Ballard: I love this bookstore! The selection is fantastic and the staff have wonderful recommendations!

Shreedhar Pandey: Excellent bookstore. Very helpful staff.

Halley Boesen: Incredible bookstore that's LGBTQIA+ friendly. They have a great comics and graphic novel section too!

Dezaray: My favorite St Paul bookseller. Large variety of books and welcoming atmosphere.

Robert Ludes: Perfect sized Indy bookstore with a wonderful selection and friendly service.

Rowan Forrester: Really cool book shop with fantastic folx working there and very keen to help. I felt welcomed and valued, but also cool to hang out and read in their lounge area. Bought a book recommended by a fellow tutor employee, and loved the tin ceiling atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Hailey McCain: This place was sooooo cute!!!! I didnt get any books at the time but I did get one of their little poems with candy from the gumball machine and that was so cute!

Luisa Oropeza: Independent bookstore with wide selection of different topics in books.

Comic Book College: what do users think?

Brant Deppa: Супер потрясающий выбор и обслуживание клиентов! Слава!!

david grilz: Тонны комиксов. Дружелюбный персонал.

Shoumit Karnik: продаются по приличной цене, но для очень старых версий я бы предпочел «Ностальгию». Они также подготовили рейтинговые комиксы для заинтересованных коллекционеров.

Michael Freeman:

Tammy bear: Отличный магазин и персонал

Liam Briggs: Love this place. Friendly, fun, organized, clean, and somehow has almost every back issue I’m looking for.Would love to see some more inviting signage as entering is a little off putting the first time but once you’re inside it’s great. Favorite comics store in the twin cities.

Christina Huesman: Was kinda hard to find but well worth it

Casey Clay: Comic Book College has one of the largest selections of comic books in the Twin Cities. The staff are friendly, and the books are very well organized. Most back issues have an estimated grade listed and are reasonably priced. They also have an area for children's/kids' comic books, a nice selection of slabs and wall books, as well as bags, boards, and boxes.

Diana Eide: Super clean and well organized. Good stock of back issues.

Devon Dunford: Overall the place is very large and it seems like they have a wide selection of everything but it doesn’t seem like they have a lot of old stuff. I get why a lot of people like this place but they just don’t really have what I’m looking for in terms of comics.

Ted Curtis: Awesome new Comic book store in the old industrial area east of Snelling on Cty Rd C. New stuff, and vast amounts of back stock. Graphic novels, gifts, etc. Friendly staff, lots of parking.

Mathieu Bernadac: Wow, the pics and vids don't do this place justice. Tons and tons of back issues, fairly prices and graded. Plenty of rare CGC graded key issues along with many action figures, TPBs and anything else comic book related. One of the best comic shops I've visited.

Ian Tanttari: Huge inventory, helpful staff. Great comic book store.
