Casey Clay: Comic Book College has one of the largest selections of comic books in the Twin Cities. The staff are friendly, and the books are very well organized. Most back issues have an estimated grade listed and are reasonably priced. They also have an area for children's/kids' comic books, a nice selection of slabs and wall books, as well as bags, boards, and boxes.
Diana Eide: Super clean and well organized. Good stock of back issues.
Devon Dunford: Overall the place is very large and it seems like they have a wide selection of everything but it doesn’t seem like they have a lot of old stuff. I get why a lot of people like this place but they just don’t really have what I’m looking for in terms of comics.
Ted Curtis: Awesome new Comic book store in the old industrial area east of Snelling on Cty Rd C. New stuff, and vast amounts of back stock. Graphic novels, gifts, etc. Friendly staff, lots of parking.
Mathieu Bernadac: Wow, the pics and vids don't do this place justice. Tons and tons of back issues, fairly prices and graded. Plenty of rare CGC graded key issues along with many action figures, TPBs and anything else comic book related. One of the best comic shops I've visited.

Emily Mattson: This is a hidden gem! I had no idea this store was here and just happened to be driving by and decided to stop it. I could have spent hours in this store! So many options for books, comics and mementos. They have used books, new books, multiple different prints in some cases. I was so happy to find a couple books I've run out of luck finding hardcover versions of. The staff was very pleasant and I can't wait to bring more of my friends here to check it out!

Kat: This is our second time visiting the area and of course we had to stop in to the Source. It's basically nerd heaven, or at least what I'd think nerd heaven looks like. There is something for everyone's flavor of hobby. It's so much fun to just walk around and look at everything. The place is huge with so many things to check out and not enough time in the day to do it. Staff is so friendly and really a delight, I can't imagine this place isn't fun to work at. Wish we lived closer!

Weekly card game tournaments. Polite staff. Solid website with a lot of the info you may need. Get the discount card if you are spending over $100 here in a year. Didn't find a customer wifi setup. Lots of food nearby for before and after shopping. Located conveniently on Snelling Ave near A stop for the A Line rapid transit bus.

Smc: This place lives up to the hype. D&D, Comic books, Manga, all types of gaming here. The staff is knowledgable and friendly and the price are very fair. I think they don't have it. You might be out of luck locally. Definitely check them out.

The D&D corner is always kept tidy for those who want to play, which I really appreciate. The staff is helpful and usually more than willing to explain what you're buying if you don't understand.

A M: I found this place by chance the night before, when I was looking for coffee shops in the area. This is a pretty small space, but very warm and inviting. These folks are still practicing covid safety protocols which is extremely reassuring, and they have an expansive selection of leftist political books, various categories ranging from theory and history to cooking and mental wellness. They even have children's and young adult books! There's something in here for everyone, and I'm really glad I visited. Will definitely be back whenever I find myself in the area again!

I visit my son and his family in Minneapolis about once a month and like to take long walks near the lakes while I'm there. The PE will be one of my walking destinations from now on. I am a fan of recycled books and was lucky enough to find three of the books on my 2024 book club list. Their discount pricing is a bonus. If you bring in used books to exchange, you get a larger discount on their new and used books that you purchase. The sales associate made the shopping exoeriece even more fun. NOTE: Katty corner across Penn and 50th is also a consignment clothing store. Double score!!!

Don’t let their modest retail windowfront fool you; the store stretches deep and they have a lot of stuff. You might not get a lot of money for selling your books, but they pay you cash. They buy them for cheap because they sell them cheap, and it's amazing.

Anna Subialka: The owner and his bunny are so awesome and kind! Tiny little bookstore that is a little disorganized but totally unique. Seems like it came out of a novel. Zoro is a sweet bunny and definitely runs the place in his bunny fashion. Stop for the bunny and stay for the fun books you can find!

Michael Tibstra: Great place for board games and cards!
Laura Heilman: Very diverse selection including comics, manga, video games, ccgs, board games and more. The space is intriguing with many small sectors. The atmosphere is welcoming and the space very clean. Loved what I saw of the play space!

Josh Schulenberg: Honestly, the two employees I interacted with were some of the nicest game store employees I have ever met. It feels like game/comic book stores always have employees with condescending attitudes, I get how hard it is to deal with people. These employees did not seem judgy or condescending at all, even after they had to get out 4 game discs for me. They were willing to make conversation about magic the gathering and games. Great selection, very well deserved 5 stars.Edit: I forgot to mention the great prices that this store has. The games I bought were for the PS3 and we're between 5-10 dollars.

Terry J: Wow! Great selection and even better staff. I ordered two books online for in-store pickup. There was some confusion as to the whereabouts of book #2 but the store clerk made it her mission to find it long after I had resigned to not getting the book this day. Well, she succeeded. Do NOT buy on Amazon. Support independent booksellers. You get more than just great literature. You get passionate, helpful humans.
Tiko Lieou: Great to have this independent bookstore in the neighborhood. With so many businesses closing in Uptown, glad to see they're still doing pretty well. It's nice they seem to always have a weekly author event. Big plus for being dog friendly with treats at the front.
Miranda Montes: I love this shop! I am new to the area and happened to walk past and check it out. They have a large selection of both new and used books, along with gifts and stationery. The staff was so helpful. They helped me find a used copy of a book I was looking for at a great price. I've been back since my first visit, and am sure I will be back many times in the future. For a perfect little 'self care' treat on a weekday I highly suggest stopping in and picking up a new book and then making your way over to Kim's a couple of doors down for a happy hour drink while you start your new book.

Tovin Sannes-Venhuizen (Tovin): Greatly enjoyed my visit to this bookstore, the staff was wonderfully helpful in helping me attempt to find a few specific books and the books were reasonably priced. I was especially happy with the large Natural History and Ecology section.I was amused by the sorting of the books meant for readers with perhaps questionable tastes, where the four sections were sorted into “Smut / Filth / Sleaze / Erotica”One common theme i’ve noticed in many small bookstores is the prevalence of communist literature, while I do not necessarily disagree with it, it’s an interesting trend between stores. Would’ve enjoyed talking to the staff about their opinions but ran out of time, perhaps on my next visit.Free books on cart in street, enjoyed browsing them as well.

Em Christie: The Book House in Dinkytown is like a TARDIS - it’s bigger on the inside! What looked like a small shop revealed a maze of stacked shelves, all clearly labeled and organized, so finding what I was looking for was easy peasy. The staff were helpful and friendly. And IT SMELLS FANTASTIC in there. That book smell - gets ya every time!

More importantly, I was impressed by the kindess and helpfulness of the bookseller. He was very polite even before opening the store! I felt like I was visiting family: very welcome. Robin Lindberg: Books are a little pricey, but one could easily spend the day here. Found A LOT of stuff I wasn't expecting, even some old rare books from my childhood that I never thought I'd come across again. That was a sweet surprise. Wolves1fan: Don't let any negative reviews deter you I've seen on here negative things said about the owner at the fronts attitude sometimes he is a very nice guy when you get to know him he deals with a lot of ruff raff at the store from transients and others due to location but he keeps the store safe and trust me if you like rare books and comics you could easily spend half a day here I've spents hours looking through books and the owner was nice enough to get stuff from the back for me to check out life this place
