Michael Waldegerma: Owner is very honest about what can and can’t be done in terms of fixes. Has done everything from fixing seams to adjusting sizing. Can also make a suit but I haven’t personally gone through that process.

Kathy Longar: Do you have an heirloom that you hesitate to get repaired for fear it will be ruined? Well, I took a chance on Stitch in Time Alterations and am thrilled with the results!I had an old flannel sleeping bag with shredded lining which was irreplaceable because sleeping bags like that aren't made anymore. The seamstress did an incredible job. She took out the old lining and stitched so that the lining was smooth across the entire sleeping bag. I am so grateful for the care she took in repairing what was in such bad shape that everyone except me thought I should just go buy another sleeping bag. Now I have many more years of using this sleeping bag to keep me warm especially in spring and fall! Thank you so much for your diligence!

Hanna and Ethan Luce: , but she took in the sleeves, made them shorter, took a ruffle off the neckline, and adjusted the lining around the bust so it was more flattering. My dress was sequined all over and she did not add any extra charges for having to deal with a complicated material. Her prices were incredibly reasonable, and whereas other wedding alteration shops wanted to charge me a “rush” alteration fee for asking that the alterations be done in under 1 month, she said that 1-2 weeks was no problem for her. The alterations were done on time and exactly at the price that she estimated when I dropped off my dress. Plus, I was never sure I was going to have that “wedding dress moment”, but when I tried on my dress after she finished the alterations I immediately cried and knew it was perfect for me. I saved hundreds of dollars and LOTS of stress having her alter my gown, and I would not hesitate to go back to her again. A true professional!Service:Alterations

Sadly, very recently Mor has absented herself from the store. Her lovely niece Luanne is now "minding the store," with cae, devotion, and careful attention to each customer. Her husband also works by Luanne's side. They still very much have my loyalty.

Her attention to detail and knowledge of tailoring was apparent in the final product. Not to mention, Deborah is polite, professional, and thoughtful to work with. Her pricing is reasonable as well.

I was referred by my wedding planner, I was looking for a black wedding dress which is extremely hard to come by especially in plus size.I made a consult about a year and a half out from my wedding. When I came back for the drawings after the first consult I was amazed at the not one but three options she had for me! They all were amazing and I finally picked one that really fit what I was looking for. Every appointment was amazing, all the steps were super easy for me as well as scheduling. When I came in for my final fitting, about four days before my wedding, the hem in the front was a bit long and Deborah stayed up all night to fix the hem and was ready for me to try on and take home the next day!I absolutely loved my final look, it was everything and more I had hoped for. I cannot recommend this shop enough! Not only was the customer service great, the price was amazing and right around the budget I wanted. Each new visit another part began to come together with the overall vision and by the end I was in tears – tears of joy, of course!What Deborah had created was better than anything I had brought along for inspiration on my very first appointment. She used them as a guide, but she put my spin on it. She had successfully managed to get inside my head and see what I saw through my eyes. I honestly don’t know how she did it, but she did and for that I have no words other than THANK YOU!She also created a beautiful alteration for my mom’s dress. My mom and I had found a dress at Macy’s, but it was in the juniors section. It was a long spaghetti strap and was something a 16 or 17 year old might wear to homecoming or prom. However my mom is in her early 70s and the look was too young and too long. So I brought my mom to see Deborah and the two of them talked about how she wanted it shortened to between her ankle and knee and she wanted a sleeve, something that would flatter her arms, but would also keep her cool during the August wedding. Deborah took that idea and put together a design that not only went above and beyond my mom’s expectations by nailing all of her requests, so the look was right and flattering, but also made my mom FEEL beautiful!My mom is plus-sized, so she is very self-conscious about her mid-sections, arms, and her legs. Deborah helped my mom see herself like I see her. I see my mom’s mid-section as the place where she carried me and my siblings to term – healthy and happy. I see her arms as the first place I want to run to when something good or bad happens. I see her legs as the anchors to our family – they never wavered in any storm. Again, there are no words, but THANK YOU!If you have the chance for Deborah to make your dress or alter it – hands down she is the best in Minneapolis! She doesn’t just make a recreation of a dress
