Andrea Kiepe: This is more of an Italian-American place, so I would not recommend pasta here unless you want to have essentially an upscale version of Olive Garden. But many people are happy with that and the rooftop deck is gorgeous. I had a great cheeseburger and glass of wine and enjoyed myself. Service is friendly and helpful.

Mary McGee: and I rarely eat at restaurants because of it. I was so impressed with their willingness to help me find a meal I could eat! The manager himself stopped by to make sure they had the list of allergies correct before they placed the order. It was one of the best salads I've ever had! Not a lover of Swiss and Mushroom Burgers but this may just have converted me.Glen was an excellent waiter, spot on with recommendations and went the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect. Bartender makes some mean margaritas also which rounded out the experience nicely.

Leila Croy: I hate to even share this, because I don't want them to get even busier than they currently are. BEST BURGERS EVER! I mean hands down delicious and juicy. Service is personable and top notch. Even the host will grab your water and drinks, which shows this team enjoys their jobs and coworkers. Everything I've tried has been delicious and well thought out. From sushi to fried cauliflower to burgers and finish with the tres leches cake.

Alex Rudie: Stopped in for a late lunch on a rainy day and was able to order off the dinner menu a little early. We got the lobster poutine as a an appetizer, and it came out super hot and fresh. The cheese melted on top was so gooey and delicious. I ordered the stuffed salmon. The salmon was cooked perfectly and flakey, and the lobster stuffing was yummy. The wild rice was a tad sweet but still yummy.

Mike Boardley: Beautiful, old school, dinner club. The outdoor patio is gorgeous as well. Jax Cafe is a Minneapolis institution. Dinning here harkens back to the days of old where men were men. They wore suits dinner jackets.The food here is quite good as well. My wife got the pork chop and I got the smothered ribeye. Both entrees were delicious and well portioned.On our next visit we plan to try their fish. One reason is you can choose which fish you want from their outdoor stream and pond. You are given a net and can scoop out the one you want.Jax is an excellent place to have a romantic dinner. So if you’re looking for a warm, intimate atmosphere, this is the place. We highly recommend Jax Cafe.

Jordan Hermann: If you've never been? Go. Nothing ever changes. It's a time warp. I'm surprised you can't still smoke at Jax. Classic supper club. All served to you by a waitress that's most likely worked there for 30 years and has an old timey name like "Dolores". Or you can always catch your own trout out of the stream on their garden patio, that's always fun.

If you have friends visiting from out of town, this is the place you want to take to impress them. We like the bar side, but went for a date night recently and ate on the dinner side. We had an impromptu four course meal that was curated by our server. We took out time and didn't feel rushed. Every server and staff seem to be in a good mood and polite, whether they are bringing you food, cleaning your table, or passing you on your way out. I definitely recommend going about an hour before sunset. PS the setting in the former monk's quarters is beautiful.

We ordered it medium and it may have been ever so slightly cooked a little under medium. Seasoning was perfect and had a nice, tart flavor coming through with the sauerkraut.🍠 🌟 WOW! 🤩 The sweet potatoes were the star of the evening! Sweet, savory, bright and fresh with lemon, crispy skins… just wow! Order the sweet potatoes!!🍰 For dessert, we ordered the chocolate panna cotta and olive oil cake. Both were absolutely stunning and would fit right in at any patisserie! Excellent flavors, textures, and presentation! Faultless!I’ll definitely be coming back!

Lobster roll is pretty good. It’s not heavily seasoned and preserves the taste in lobster itself. The decorative plants in this restaurant are all fake in case that’s what caught your attention. I think it makes sense tho - it’s easier to maintain and no bugs.Edit: I went there again and tried the half chicken and wild mushrooms. Both tasted great. I’m starting to see that nothing here is covered in heavy sauce but simply very well cooked. The chicken was very juicy and tender just by itself.

Probably not... the food is expensive for no reason and is basic in flavor. Perhaps this is what they were going for but you could have much better tasting good elsewhere for a fraction of the prices here. I got the lobster roll and truffle fries. I thought it tasted fine but my party did not like the truffle fries lol be weary if you have not tried truffles before. It's not for everyone.

Good idea to visit both this location and Parlour in the basement if you are making a trip to the cities for either restaurant.Parking: Parking was very easy for us on a Tuesday as a spot was open in the paid parking lot 20 feet from door, on a weekend it may be tougher as this area has more limited parking and is very busy on weekends. Likely valet would be the way to go on the weekend and visit both Borough and Parlour to get full value!

Prim Ilagan: Psycho suzi is an okay Tiki Bar, by default since it’s one of the limited Tiki Bars in MN. It has a large nice patio along the river for warm nights. Inside the decor is 70s tiki with bamboo and palm top to bottom. The carpet is neat- printed wood planks. There’s a sizable drink menu but is not served in Tiki Mugs unless you decide to purchase the mug. We had pizza, it was okay- nothing special. Drinks are below average. Ambiance is fun but not much else going on there.

My only complaint was that the bottom layer was crispy/crunchy and overdone. If it had been properly cooked, I'd put it up there with the best. The small portion was good enough for me for one meal.Everyone on my team enjoyed their meals - they all had pork chops, pizza, chicken parm, ravioli, etc.We ended with desserts to share, and I will say I was not really impressed, they were just okay. I would just recommend sticking with the meals as that is where they excelled.I would definitely recommend Zelo if you are in the area for an enjoyable Italian dinner.

Incredible selection of wine both by the glass and the bottle. Comfortable seating/ very classy and upscale! Our entrees were beautifully plated and perfectly cooked. The house made gelato was a perfect finish. Thank you to all the amazing staff that made our experience memorable.
