Several years ago Soderlin replaced our boiler and we were very happy with their work. So when the time came this winter to renovate our 2nd floor bathroom and add 2nd floor laundry to our home there was only one choice in our minds as to who to hire for the plumbing work - we called Soderlin. Jeff Taylor has visited our home twice over the past few months, and has also been very responsive via text, to help us plan for and execute this large and complex project. We are otherwise completing most of the renovation work ourselves and Jeff has been invaluable in helping us with items procurement and general planning. We are very much looking forward to Jeff completing this work for us next week so we can proceed with the project. We will always call Soderlin for our plumbing needs.

We were able to get a plumber out quickly to make a quote and then scheduled the work only two weeks out. Everyone we worked with were curteous and respectful. We had a fairly large project and the workers were timely and efficient. They discussed what the work entailed and showed us what would get done. They cleaned up after themselves and respected our house and property. I will definitely be using Soderlin again if needed and highly recommend them.

Bryan Halicki: My shower head in my 1928 Minneapolis home was leaking while my tub faucet was running for the past few months. I called Soderlin on 9/27 to diagnose and repair the issue. Their office picked up immediately and worked with my schedule to have someone arrive the next day. They sent Joel, a professional plumber with over 20 years of experience. He contacted me ahead of my appointment the morning of 9/28 and was prompt and early. He ran a few diagnostics and gave me a couple options to potentially fix the issue. He recommended the inexpensive option first which I went with. He replaced the shark bite fitting with a copper connection, and the shower head no longer leaked. The problem was due to a bad shark bite connection that was constricting the water flow and backing up to the shower head. Joel was professional, courteous, and explained the issue in easy to understand terms. Soderlin hourly rates were very reasonable, especially with their team like Joel that have decades of experience. I should have called them months ago to fix my issue. I received a 5 star service experience from them. I saved their business card for my fridge. They are my new go-to plumber for any of my plumbing needs. Thanks Soderlin Plumbing & Heating for the great experience!

Although the clog had resolved itself prior to the visit, Jon performed a thorough Sherlock Holmes-style investigation and gave me meaningful feedback regarding how the clog came to be and how to prevent such situations going forward. Jon also provided me with insight into how we could engage Mr. Rooter to assist with future renovations to our condo in the indeterminate future. Five stars for Jon M. of Mr. Rooter!

One of Norblom's plumbers was able to make time to come out and do the job promptly and for a very reasonable price. Very grateful for the years of service from Norblom!

We had a quote from another plumber with options ranging from twice as expensive to at least 10 times as expensive. The other plumber tried to sell us on a bunch of extras. Then we called Norblom, and Norblom was straightforward with us, reasonably priced, and did great work. I recommend them.

Alec Campbell: I was told by another company that I needed to open the basement floor and replace our main sewer line to the tune of 20K$. Norblom recommended someone to do a second opinion camera inspection and the result was a descaling for less than 1k$ and no tearing up the floor. Honest and professional. I had 2 of the big name companies out for estimates for my multi-day job and they were hugely inflated; in one case in part, I think, because I’m a single woman with white hair. Then I got wise and called this small company located right in the neighborhood. They were fantastic from start to finish. They were great at explaining without the patronizing tone of the others. They broke down the estimate so I could pick and choose what I could afford. In the end I could do everything because their charges were so much more in line with what I was expecting. Jaron and his apprentice were always on time, friendly, creative, professional and the quality of the work was outstanding. It is now over 2 months later and everything is working perfectly.It was such a positive experience in every way. I feel relieved to know I won’t need to put off calling for plumbing help in the future because I can call Erik’s! And I’d never hesitate recommending them to my friends.
Aaron Gipe: I had Nick and Simon from Erik Nelson Plumbing come to my home today to replace my bathtub hardware, fix some issues with hot water to the upstairs of my home, and install a couple isolation valves.They were amazing. Professional but personable. Thoroughly explained my options, root causes, and any unknowns they encountered. They quickly troubleshot and fixed my hot water issues. They were also very proactive when they saw something that wasn't working they either quickly addressed it and/or brought it to my attention. I'm very grateful to have that issue resolved.The bathtub hardware they replaced was on an older 2 handle faucet that they converted to a modern single handle faucet. The end result looked much better than I expected. The construction plate they used looks great, covers the holes, and matches the faucet.They exceeded my expectations, communicated everything clearly, and came in well under the estimate they had initially provided since some of the issues were easier to fix than anticipated.I would highly recommend Erik Nelson Plumbing.
Kasey Gilles: Erik Nelson Plumbing is THE ABSOLUTE BEST plumbing company I’ve ever hired or even thought of hiring. They recently installed a half bath, including a new laundry tub in the basement of our 1920’s South Minneapolis home. John came out and provided us with a detailed bid and cogent time frame for how the job could be done. John demonstrated knowledge of Minneapolis code and working on old houses that blew every other plumber I’d consulted out of the water.The job was done exactly as described, using quality materials and minimal disturbance to our busy lives. Also spot on the very fair estimate. We appreciate them and the work they did on our house more than I can express here. SIMPLY THE BEST.

Amanda Greene Guentzel: ENP came to the rescue when the supply line to our toilet burst a leak and flooded our home. They were able to quickly come and rebuild our original toilets rather than having to replace. I don't feel as though they were more expensive than any other good plumber.

Justin was easy to get a hold of, and any missed calls were responded to in a timely manner during the scheduling process. The plumbers on site, Adam and Simon, were very professional in their approach, taking much care in protecting my floors, limiting dust by using plastic tenting, and being attentive with their clean up post repair. With an over 100 year old home with questionable patch jobs over the years, Adam and Simon were unphased and solution focused. I felt informed with what repairs were being performed, and any options were well described and pressure free. I never felt like I was being "sold", and their repair came in at their quote. I would not hesitate recommending ENP to friends or family and will keep them in mind for any future plumbing needs. A special thanks to Adam, Simon, and Justin for treating myself and my home so well.

Charley Rustad: I’ve had ENP do two small projects at my house now, and am very happy with the results. I spoke to Justin on the phone before both, and he was responsive and did all he could to help over the phone. I got on the schedule easily both times. Simon was the plumber who came out for each project. He was friendly, explained my options at various price points and the pros/cons behind each, and did quality work. They are a little higher priced, but their pricing process is as transparent as can be and the peace of mind I get is worth it to me knowing their work is well done.

They gave specific recommendations on how to resolve all the issues and then went above & beyond by fixing our screen door that kept banging every time they went in & out of the house!

Courtney Azar: Paul Bunyan Plumbing always gets it right. They have great pricing to fit the budget and take care of everything as if it were their own home. My certified Plumber left their contact info and even encouraged me to call or text if ever we had a plumbing need. They even provided a free service inspection for Veterans! It’s the only plumbing service for our house.

Steven B.: Called this company for a project in my laundry room that cost $2700 and change. Had a laundry tub replaced with new piping, and new faucet. Had two ball valves installed in both hot and cold lines to the upstairs bathtub. Got tired of Hero and Bonfe not having decent times for appointments being a disabled veteran who takes a boatload of meds. Paul Bunyan came out as promised between 8-10am Friday January 5, 2024. Gave an estimate, did the work without any issues overall happy disabled veteran with a lighter wallet. Lol. Lastly, Paul Bunyan also has an honors program for military folks which isn't a bad deal. I would definitely recommend them. Plus, they love to label everything. Lol.

Tawny Ballejo: Five star review was purchased! They added $20 to my final bill if I did not give a positive review. There was a lot of empty promises of service.If it’s not in writing, it will not be done. I was left with a dirty floor from shoes and small metal shavings from pipe cutting. The guys were personable but left me with a mess to clean up and put back together.

Polo Chen: When I first called around, this place was the only shop that took the time to answer my questions before I committed to service. Mark even called me to clarify a few questions I had when the scheduler was unable. Tim, the plumber, arrived on time and did a thorough job with figuring out where the leak was coming from. He came back a few days later again right on time and completed the big project by himself in a timely and respectful manner. He really took great care to make sure the replacement waste lines were installed adequately and that all the former ABS lines that he could access were removed. We know who to go to next time. We’ve used some of the bigger companies in the past like Paul Bunyan and weld and sons. They were okay. But Mark’s provided that extra touch and service for a very reasonable price. Tim saved the day! And the years to come from having a wet basement!

Charlie stopped by to service my AC and he did everything he needed to do with minimal interruptions of my work day--love that!Peter arrived on time, immediately went to work, finished the repair in 10 minutes and didn't charge me anything because he didn't have to use any of his own materials. When is the last time someone performed a maintenance service for you free of charge? Of course, none of their maintenance visits have a charge because I am a member of their maintenance club. For that, I pay $99 a year, and they maintain all of my utilities without additional charge. They do this with the hope that if you do need work done that you will choose them. And I certainly have. They always do excellent work and they will continue to be my go-to team for help with my utilities. When Hovde came on the job, they had the problem solved immediately, even though it was tricky and difficult. And Sue is the most wonderful manager ever! Ryan Maurer: Quick and Professional Water Heater ReplacementCame downstairs one morning to find the floor outside the utility room was soaking wet. Traced the trail of water back to the water heater and identified the leak coming from the bottom of the tank, not a good spot as this is basically a death sentence for a water heater.Regardless of cause, I had to cut off the water line to the heater and drain it to stop the leak. So now I have no water which I don't think my wife or 5 month old, who uses cloth diapers which require some serious hot water to wash, will appreciate.I called Hovde and spoke to Sue who was incredibly helpful and genuinely wanted to get someone out to me as soon as possible given the situation. I had to make one quick insurance call after getting an estimate and Hovde was onsite the next day with a new water heater.Less than two hours after ringing my doorbell I had hot water again, basically it was plumbing magic.10/10 Would use again.
fendl001 University of Minnesota: Great family owned business. Plumber, one of the Hovde sons, was terrific, and very quick. I had a blown water heater and that had to be replaced. They were here the next morning, worked hard, and even came in $200+ under the initial estimate. Couldn't be more pleased. My neighbor got a bid for the exact same water heater and it came in more than twice as much as my bid from a family owned business. SHOP LOCAL, SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESS!!
