But it is simply not complete until you walk through those doors.Some might call them framists, you could call them engineers, I want to call them artists. And I want to tip them cash every time I visit in the same way I want to tip a jazz pianist for playing Erroll Garner.I would say watching them work is the most enjoyable part of the process, but Mitrebox does you one better than spectatorship. They involve you. Your personal tastes and tendencies are activated, challenged, and appreciated. If you’re lucky, you may even get to stand on Sara’s stepstool for a better view.No matter what you plan to do with your piece or where you hope your piece takes you when it finally reaches your wall, you simply cannot get there without Mitrebox building the portal for you.

The Home Studio: I had an older newspaper that needed to be framed up and protected properly and the work done on it here was excellent. One can choose to go get a standard frame from Target or Amazon and that's fine to be cheaper but it is worth it for things of value to go here.

Unfortunately, Maehr's work was out of my means to purchase, but I'll tell you it has the simplicity of mosaics from before the Renaissance, but had color blending that was many levels beyond simply eye popping. I recommend this establishment highly. Mr. Dow's art has set a high bar for future art galleries for me.
A P: This is a beautiful gallery that showcases many rotating Minnesota artists: whether the medium is photography, sculptures, or paintings. The owner's mission is to showcase working artists in his beautiful gallery where the artists get support to display their work to the public and where they are able to receive a living wage for their pieces. It is a true partnership between the gallery and the artists. I absolutely love this mission. Currently there is a Ukrainian artist who is one of the artists displaying their work there. Go buy some beautiful art and help artists make a living in what they love to do. There's really something for everyone at this gallery. Last but not least, they also do custom framing, which is absolutely the best! I just can't say enough good things about this place and its owner... he's an immigrant himself that moved with his family when he was a youngster and he is so incredibly humble and genuinely the nicest guy. Go check them out!

I had purchased some artwork overseas and when I brought it home I it was a little damaged and I knew that I wouldn't be able to hang it using a cheap frame I found at a craft store. After a consultation with Caleb at CAFS he gave me some really great suggestions and allowed me to think about the look I was going for. The colors popped, frames were perfect, and the paintings looked better than what I imagined when I bought them. Michael helped me to look over framing and matting options, and then figured out the total cost after we decided on it. After getting the okay from my boss , I called the next morning to have Michael go ahead with the project, and it was all perfectly done by Thursday afternoon! Apparently they've been at it in this location for over 30 years and I can see why they continue to be successful. If you have anything you need framed, you'll be in good hands here. I brought in 2 photos I wanted put into a frame, not having a clue how I wanted them framed, but Becky guided me every step of the way, from the placement of the photos in the frame to the color background that would look the best with my wall and other pictures already hung. Becky and Steve are real pros and you can tell they enjoy what they're doing. Then Steve brought the final work to my condo and hung it. He measured the space, stepped back to be sure it was where it looked the best, measured again, then pounded in the nail. He wanted to be sure it was perfect, and it was. Just a few weeks ago I brought another photo in for framing and it's absolutely perfect. Again, Becky helped me decide what I wanted, and Steve brought it to my condo for hanging. And there's a cool huge brushed metallic magnetic wall the art gets hung on!
