Tim Pommer: We have been taking my daughter here since she was 3. The staff has greeted her by her first name every single time we walk in the door, with no prompting. The patience, attention to detail, and service we receive is second to none and we will never go somewhere else for her glasses.

They have frames that are locally made as well as frames from smaller, more boutique vendors, and some of the most prestigious global brands as well.Their expertise on lens selection is one of the other things that won me over as a loyal client. They introduced me to the various types of progressive lenses and when I found "digital" progressives I've never gone back to the old kind that all the other shops in town sold me.Prices at Owl Optical are also really competitive, but I would happily pay more for their service, knowledge, and simply knowing that I'm going to be happy as heck with whatever I get.It might also be worth mentioning that they have on on-site optometrist and my prescriptions have been super accurate. No issues like I've had elsewhere in the past.What else can I say? Owl Optical is simply the best optical shop I've ever found. I won't be going anywhere else as long as they're around!

Sean Schneidmiller: A dude passing thru from Wyoming had a glasses mishap and the bridge broken before my flight from Denver to Minneapolis. So I had to revert to my prescription sunglasses to drive in the early morning from Cheyenne to Denver, once i got to DIA I did some optical repair places reviews and this one rated as high as could be and the plus was open on Saturdays, hooray!!! After waiting for my rental car at MSP for 3.5 hours the journey to Specs Optical began. I found it with no issues and was greeted very warmly and I explained my situation. He looked at the broken pieces and he tackled it to the best of his ability. I told him to take his time and after about 30 mins he said that's probably the best he could do and to let the glue dry! He asked me how old my frames were and i said, too old, and i needed to get new frames and to have my eyes checked at my local doctor back home, I truly agreed. I asked how much did I owe and he shook my hand and said Enjoy your trip to Northern Minnesota!!! This kind of customer service just doesn't happen anymore, but he truly made me feel welcome being on a vacation etc... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND and wanted to give the utmost thanks once again!!! Minneapolis you have a diamond in the rough with Specs Optical....keep up the awesome work!!! Thanks for helping this blind as a bat-man be on his way!!! William Seal: My wife’s sunglasses had cracked on a recent trip to Mexico, and she was really bummed out about it. Safe to say, they were expensive, so looking for repair options was the best bet for us. I stumbled upon Specs Optical because of their reviews, so I decided to pay them a visit. Darcy helped answer a few questions on the phone for me, and as able to assist me once I got to the store as well.However, a week or so later, I got a call from Darcy explaining that because the lenses were curved, and this particular brand had decided to screw the frames into the lenses, that it would be a much more expensive fix. Thanks a lot, Pr@d@.Well, the best option we had at that point was to go into Specs and get the broken sunglasses and maybe take a look at a few of what they had in store.Darcy, being beyond apologetic at this point, handcrafted a selection of sunglasses for my wife to try on based on what she likes. We laughed at a few, some were an immediate no, and then there were the select few. Darcy and my wife had managed to get it down to just a select few.Fast forward about a week later and my wife likes her new sunglasses better then she ever liked her old ones. Darcy not only communicated everything every step of the way, but she went above and beyond to fix what wasn’t even her mistake. All this to say, I HIGHLY recommend Specs Optical…and if Darcy is there when you walk in, make it a point to keep her all to yourself!

ZACHARY WELCH: At 49 years of age, I had my first eye exam. Lucky for me, I “failed” the tests and got glasses. Why lucky you might ask, well, lucky because the ENTIRE team at Specs made it an enjoyable experience, plus the glasses they helped me pick up make me look at least 20% smarter and even slight better looking. Plus they let my Frenchie and my French speaking girlfriend in on the fun. Highly recommend, especially if you want to avoid mall monopoly brands that everyone else wears. ❤️

L B: The best eye experience I think I've ever had. I have avoided going to see an eye doctor for a few years due to having some pretty terrible experiences elsewhere, but this place is great. They took the time to explain my test results, showed the scans to me and explained what I was experiencing, allowed time to ask questions and thoroughly answer, and both the student doctor and Dr. Hollenbach were thorough, kind and gentle.This location also carries some very snazzy eyewear, which was a fun experience trying on! The woman helping me on the floor was fun and really hyped me up while trying different styles, haha. I ended up with a pair of sleek Matsuda glasses that I'm very excited and actually looking forward to wear.

M J: Lost a screw on my glasses during my conference in downtown Minneapolis. Since it happened on Sunday, I could only get a repair toolkit from target but the screws are too big. The following day, on my way to the airport, I first went to the target optical store but they said no inventory. Then I headed to Moss and was greeted with big smiles. While having a nice chat, they fixed my glasses in no time and for free. They really have nice people!
Jack Yanisch: I went in looking for a particular brand of glasses I knew they sold, Swiss flex. I met Jenna and Kevin who took exceptional care of me. I have bought glasses at several businesses over the years but have never been taken care of like I was at Moss optical.

Kevin alone has given me such peace of mind that I would be recommending the place to anyone, but all of his staff are just the best people ever.Last night I slipped on ice and broke my glasses. Absolutely shattered them. I called them this morning and they came up with a quick plan to get me back in action. You can go wrong, they are wonderful!
Susan Franklin: I started going to Moss Optical when I worked downtown Minneapolis. I no longer work downtown, but going to Moss Optical is worth a special trip. I have a smaller face and cannot wear most frames at a big box store. Their frames are a bit trendy but classic enough I can wear them for several years and the staff is very knowledgable and very helpful.

Brandon Rathbun: Sometimes you just know you've found the Right people for the job. Every member of the staff was exceptionally friendly and genuinely helpful. I also take huge notice of folks that are willing to help fix issues, and they went above and beyond. I worked with them to replace lenses in my favorite Persol sunglasses, and the first replacement set had a flaw, so they took them back without any additional questions and even upgraded the lenses further to ensure there wouldn't even be a chance of another issue happening. I hope they're proud of their staff, because they are actively working to be the kind of company culture and atmosphere that will keep them around for another 100 years.

InVision had the best selection and I was so happy with my choice I now go back every year for new styles. Previously I've thought of InVision as a rather pricey option -- not exactly out of my comfort range, but a little spendier than I'm used to, anyway.Dr. Albrecht continues to be exceptionally professional, and is a pleasure to interact with. I am not exaggerating when I say she's saved me from considerable chronic discomfort over time. I've gone elsewhere, and regretted it, and learned my lesson. If you are looking for an eye exam recommendation, I would make one for her every time.The other staff here, too, exceeded my expectations. Without wanting to make unfavorable comments about other options you may consider, let me just say there's obvious experience and genuine attention at work here. If what you want is to feel that an experienced, smart person is equipping you to enjoy a range of interesting choices? That was how I felt here -- and I started the process squinting, with dilated pupils, literally unable to find my way without help. I respect that.

I’ve been purchasing my glasses and sunglasses at InVision for several years because of their unique frames, friendly and knowledgeable people who work there and their attention to detail. My prescription changed and I needed new glasses. Their Covid precautions were spot on and I felt perfectly safe. I wasn’t sure if I just wanted to buy new lenses or get a new frame as well. Trish was my consultant and with no pressure we just went over need, want, style. I brought my iPad so we could even try other styles that were online and she could consult with me. She spent all the time I needed including waiting 3 weeks and holding my information. Oh did I mention I also had major foot surgery!? So when I came in for my appointment limping on crutches she had a chair ready to put my foot up and a heart full of empathy. This is what you get from small business providers. Herbert Dick: I want to send a shout out to Samuel and Greg at the North Loop location. Samuel was very helpful and patient as I tried numerous frames. The selection is amazing and their inventory includes very distinctive and unique designer options. The glasses I selected were ready within a week. The prescription was a year old from an eyecare center not affiliated with Invision and it turned out there was a problem with the right lens, due to the prescription needing adjusting, not due to any problems with how the lens was created. I got an updated prescription from my optician and Invision replaced the lens to the new prescription for no additional charge. Greg made adjustments to the frames after I had them a few days and the frames fit perfectly. Both Samuel and Greg are very friendly and professional.

POLLY MEYER EXECUTIVE CONSULTING: I own a pair of EyeVans that I broke. They're nice glasses and I wanted them repaired, not replaced. The optical store I had originally purchased them from in Linden Hills wouldn't repair them. In fact, they wouldn't even take them out of the eyeglass case to take a look at them to see if there was something they could do. So I headed to an eyeglass store in Edina on 50th & France. The sales person said they won't fix any eyeglasses that weren't purchased by them. She took a quick peek inside my eyeglass case, and without removing them from the case, the sales person said, "They're not fixable." - That was the end of conversation. I left both optical shops feeling so frustrated.BUT THEN, I saw some great reviews for the Spectacle Shoppe on Google, so I drove to Uptown where their Apprentice of Optics, Logan, not only brought me right inside, but he opened my eyeglass case and said, "Let's see what we can do for you." Those words gave me so much HOPE! I was offered a bottle of water while I waited and then took a look around the place. The Spectacle Shoppe is HUGE! And its BEAUTIFUL! And its ARTSY and ELEGANT. And it offers many, many, many different designer styles at really good prices. Everyone inside was SO FRIENDLY. About 15 minutes later, Logan hands me back my pair of EyeVans, and they LOOKED LIKE NEW! They're perfect! I mean, he did an incredible job putting my glasses back together for me.Their customer service is UNPARALLELED! I will shop no where else for my eye glasses from this day forward. Even if they hadn't been able to repair my glasses, I would still move my future eyeglass purchases to the Spectacle Shoppe just because of how caring they are towards their customers. I was blown away by their customer service.Logan was AWESOME! Joseph, the Manager, was also AWESOME! It's just an AWESOME place with REALLY COOL eyeglasses! Don't go anywhere else for your eyeglass needs.

Crosby King: Overall I had a positive experience at the Broecker Eye clinic. My eye exam was thorough and I was in and out in a reasonable amount of time. I am docking a star because the experience was a little bit awkward. Dr. Broecker came into the exam room and didn’t introduce herself so the first 10 min of the exam I was like “who is this?”. When I asked if she was Dr. Broecker she corrected my pronunciation of her name, which could’ve been avoided if she introduced herself. The glasses selection was a bit limited but it’s hard to beat the internet’s selection these days.The location is convenient and off the green line and close to the U of M. Even though the visit was a bit awkward I would come back.

Steve Nieckarz: I've been seeing Dr. Broecker for optometry since 2013. As someone with many eye issues, I'm very particular with who I will place my trust in eye care with. Dr. Broecker is very professional, knowledgeable, and is very thorough with her complete eye examination.Sara, who runs everything else in the practice, is very service oriented and spectacular at helping you choose eyewear.If you want "cheap", go to a stripmall chain optometrist. If you desire an expert in the field, a thorough examination, and quality eyewear, Dr. Broecker is the professional to see.

I also choose to pay cash for the exam, lenses, and frames, which I am uncertain would be possible elsewhere as I have no insurance to cover it. I have been a patient of Dr. Broeker for three years at this office which is also very convenient and accessible by public transportation. My recent lenses/frames were ready 6 days after my exam visit. I recommend those looking for eye care to go to Broeker.
Sean Fetterman: There are only five stars but I give them a TEN STAR if possible! Best eye doctor I have ever been to! Dr. Broecker is caring, thorough, consultative and is so knowledgeable. She helped me when I had an eye issue and recommended some great surgeons. After the surgery, she followed up to ensure that everything went well and got me in for a follow-up/after surgery visit. BEST EYE DOCTOR EVER!The staff at Broecker Eye & Optical are so friendly and accommodating. They are never pushy when it comes to selling, but will recommend what is best for you even if you don't buy it from them. Scheduling an appointment is really easy and the office is open after work hours which helps so I don't have to take time off work to come in.
John Bennett: .... Apparently allergies have played a large role in my case especially with the unusual summer we have had. Anyway Dr. Broecker made several suggestions all of which have led to significant improvements to my eye sight.

BRADY PALMQUIST: I would generally recommend that people shop for glasses and doctors seperately. I went to Broecker ' s office strictly for an eye exam and was very happy. Dr. Swenson did a good and thorough job and was patient in answering all my silly questions.Just today I called them to get a copy of my prescription and they got it to me right away.I'm very happy and will go back there for my next exam.The staff was all friendly and helpful.
