Rick Evoniuk: What to say... Hmm... Dr. Sheffer will be my new eye doctor going forward!I had mono vision Lasik in 2011 and still read just fine with my left eye. My right eye, corrected for distance now needed some correction. The last eye doctor I saw shot down the idea of me having just one contact. Dr. Sheffer however was completely open to the idea. I couldn't be happier about that, bye-bye glasses!

alyse shane: We had such a wonderful experience here. All the staff was so friendly and did a wonderful job with my 3 year old daughter. The doctor that checked my daughters eyes was very sweet and was awesome with getting my little girl to cooperate. The whole visit was smooth and we got my daughters prescription and they gave her a toy when the visit was done!
Jules Hawkins: They are great with children! They have a lot of patience and they make it fun for kids. Parking took a minute to locate because it’s behind the building but after I found it it was so easy. The clinic is right across the street from the hospital so that was so easy when my son needed surgery, we already knew where to go. The scheduler, Leann is so sweet and helped find answers to our questions when our doctor took ill and we needed to transfer to a different doctor. I highly recommend MN Lions Children’s Eye!
Kallie Decker: People’s comments are crazy here. My daughter has received exceptional cere from her doctor. He has called after office hours and worked tirelessly with insurance. The fact that you have to get a babysitter due to covid is not the fault of the hospital. The fact that surgery is expensive is also not the fault of the hospital, its being a parent. Rarely have we had to wait long and usually appointments are quick, and we come about every 3 months.
meggieschill: Parking was a pain since I had no idea where to go so finally parked on the street.But once we were up in the eye clinic it was great! Everyone was VERY nice. The clinic is clean and super cute. I asked the front desk lady if I could go in a room to nurse my babe and she took me to a quiet room they have set up. So very impressed with that!

Luna Maldonado: 5 stars simply for Dr. Areaux. My 2 week old daughter was diagnosed with a congenital cataract and we were referred to 2 orthopaedic surgeons before getting to him when she was 3 weeks. His team was caring compassionate and patient with me in discussing the realities of the diagnosis and dispelled misinformation given by others. At my daughters first apointment I came alone due to her father's work schedule and Dr. Areaux accommodated us by speaking with him over the phone during the appointment. Risks were discussed openly and the best decision was clearly outlined. On the day of her surgery Dr. Areaux even went over everything with her father again prior to our daughters operation. He did beautiful work with removing the cataract and has helped us to understand the treatment plan going forward as well as fully outlined the level of commitment that will be essential to a successful outcome. We are so pleased with our experience I don't have enough positive words.

Amanda Schacherer: We can't thank Dr. Struhl enough for the time and patience she had with us and our daughter. She needed to have surgery twice to clear her tear duct. As first time parents of a 3 week old baby, we we're terrified but the staff at the clinic and hospital we're beyond amazing in making us feel less nervous and that our daughter would be safe. Over the past 16 months, we've made several trips back to have checkups and to make sure we were still progressing towards no other complications or surgeries and we just got the all clear today and are sad that we no longer have to go back. Although, wait times can be long, these doctors are specialists and I know that there is no one I would trust more to take care of our daughter. We are two extremely grateful parents for this clinic.

Some Middle Aged Man: I had a really good eye exam experience with eye tech Meridith and Dr. Osowski. It's been over a couple of decades since I've had an exam, and as I'm getting older and have a family history of Glaucoma I came in for checkup. They have allot of impressive technology. I Opted for a computer readout of my eyes instead of getting the old school dialation done. Both Meridith and Dr. Osowski were very thorough and professional in covering all my questions. What made me really trust them and Downtown Eyes in general was that they were'nt trying to sell me anything I didn't need. I'll send them all my business in the future. Thanks for shooting straight! Spencer Nelson: I'm of the opinion that choosing to have Lasik is a very big decision. Any surgical procedure having to do with your eyes can be a scary proposition. I have been contemplating Lasik for a few years before I went with Joffe. I did my due diligence and visited 3 Lasik providers in the area. Joffe stood out with there friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. I felt as if they understood the importance of this decision and respected my time and opinion. The procedure itself was amazing, Dr. Heuer was very reassuring the entire time and explained what was happening and why. I couldn't be happier with the results. I can see without the need for any contacts or glasses a mere 4 hours after the procedure. I will recommend Joffe and Dr. Heuer to anyone interested in getting Lasik.

Bob Olson: I would highly recommend Joffe MediCenter for lasik surgery. I’m a 59 year old male who has enjoyed good vision for most of my life. In my early 40s I started using cheaters to read and within the last 5 years have needed prescription glasses to drive. I’d been thinking about lasik and wondered how it could help me. I did some research , read reviews and decided to go with Joffe. I called and set a time for a free consultation . I found there staff to be very friendly and knowledgeable. After a thorough eye exam I was told I was a good candidate for lasik and shown what my vision would be like after. I was told about payment plans, in my case I was able to use HCSA funds. A week later had the surgery, it was quick and painless, the next day went in for a follow up exam and I had 20-20 vision. It’s been 2 weeks since surgery and had last exam today, all is well seeing 20-20 which is great but the biggest surprise is my mid range vision has improved greatly, watching tv- computer etc. also my reading glasses have gone from +275 to + 150 . I’m very happy with results and would recommend Joffe to family and friends, Thank You Joffe Bob.
Gventures: Great staff, easy process. Took all of half an hour to do the surgery and I was on my way. No pain, no problems, just a quick, easy process. Woke up in the morning with....Vision! No contacts, no glasses, I could see. A little cloudy here and there due to dry eyes, a normal part of the healing process. It hasn't even been a full day though and my vision is perfect as if I had my contacts in. Over the next few days and weeks it will only get better as it stabilizes and I'm so glad I made this investment. My sister had LASIK done at Joffe 7 years ago and said it was the best thing she has done with her money. Couldn't agree more! Thanks, people over at Joffe

Tim Pommer: We have been taking my daughter here since she was 3. The staff has greeted her by her first name every single time we walk in the door, with no prompting. The patience, attention to detail, and service we receive is second to none and we will never go somewhere else for her glasses.

They have frames that are locally made as well as frames from smaller, more boutique vendors, and some of the most prestigious global brands as well.Their expertise on lens selection is one of the other things that won me over as a loyal client. They introduced me to the various types of progressive lenses and when I found "digital" progressives I've never gone back to the old kind that all the other shops in town sold me.Prices at Owl Optical are also really competitive, but I would happily pay more for their service, knowledge, and simply knowing that I'm going to be happy as heck with whatever I get.It might also be worth mentioning that they have on on-site optometrist and my prescriptions have been super accurate. No issues like I've had elsewhere in the past.What else can I say? Owl Optical is simply the best optical shop I've ever found. I won't be going anywhere else as long as they're around!

B Davis: I had a fine experience here. Dr. Lee not only addressed my double vision with a new eyeglass prescription, he ordered an MRI to make sure my unusual eyesight wasn't being caused by something more serious. I was relieved to learn that it wasn't something serious. It was a good experience.

Kristine Barker: Easy to find, public parking in parking garage easy to access and staff very friendly and knowledgeable. FYI: you do have to pay for parking and wait times can be longer then expected, but as far as the wait time they don't rush you and are very thorough.
Mira LaCous: The doctors at UofM Eye are extremely knowledgeable and ready to treat serious eye conditions, as well as help to maintain eyes that are in trouble. They have all been extremely caring and helpful, while listening to needs and concerns and educating on options. They are very busy, so do expect some long appointment times, as they are doing many surgery follow-ups and 'emergency' visits between general visits. Know that when you are seen, you will get the same caring attention.
