She delivered everything on point. I got a cut and color. She even asked if it was okay to go shorter than I asked for because to get rid of my spilt ends. I highly respect that. The color came out the same as my natural hair color. She made me feel comfortable. So friendly.

And i’m sure some can relate that it’s a bit of a challenge to meet a reliable hair dresser. I am glad to book an appointment with Connie of JoVu Salon. I told her how i want my hair to be cut and correct the hair color that i had a month ago. She was pleasant and i appreciate her recommendation. The location of her salon is easy to find with a good parking space. Her salon is well organized, clean and has a good aesthetics. Her salon rates is reasonable and economical based on the price range of an owned hair salon. Check her out. You will not be disappointed.

Sam Tao: I cannot recommend a better place to get a haircut in the twin cities. For $25, you get both a haircut and a shampoo. My barber, Nam, did a great job on my hair and cut it in a way that white people just can't achieve. He also went above and beyond in my fade and styling my hair after. The store is very busy and you might have to wait a bit, but the wait is worth it.

Shayna Rissman: and how it makes getting my hair done an anxiety evoking experience. I really appreciated how they didn’t offer me ineffective products and/or services to treat this. Instead, they listened to my concerns and focused on finding the cut to make me as comfortable and confident as possible. We agreed on a length and style which would improve my hair health whilst still allowing me to air-dry my naturally wavy/curly thin hair.They were clearly a skilled stylist, and I felt the salon feeling lighter and prettier. It was also the first time someone diffused/curled my hair to enhance my natural waves. I love a good blow-out - which they did offer to do if I had preferred - but it was fun to switch it up this time.I should also mention they were so easy and fun to chat with. Usually we do one solid color, but during my last visit with him here at cocoon, I wanted to add some dimension without bleach and he lightened several strands all around my head to this really pretty golden/strawberry blonde to look like highlights and I’m thrilled! He charges the most reasonable prices I’ve seen for someone with his skillset. Better yet, he’s personable and eager to help and listen to your ideas. Besides color, he gave me a really nice haircut too, and the layers he added really stand out with the lightened pieces! Not only does he give a high quality cut he is also always on time and will get you in and out as scheduled. I also appreciate his attention to detail and will always make sure you leave happy with the cut. Cody also fosters a friendly and relaxing experience during your visit. I won't go to anyone but Cody!

I wanted to live with it a little while before writing a review to make sure I could recreate what Jen did, and… somehow she managed to give me a cut that literally air dries perfectly and takes 1 minute to comb and put product in. It’s the fantasy. My life is actually better because of it? And she was super friendly and nice to talk to. I don’t think I’ll ever go to anyone else. If you’re waffling, just book it!
