Luke Studios - Minneapolis Commercial Photographer: what do users think?

Mary Austin Speaker: I'm an art director and typically take my own photos, but sometimes I am just out of my league. Allen shot and silhouetted an extremely detailed piece of artwork that had been maddeningly impossible for me to work with. He suggested ways of lighting and compositing photos that made the artwork's best qualities absolutely sing, and he was quick, flexible and responsive. I would highly recommend his services.

Nicole Kehr: As an artist, I am constantly photographing my work. After attempting to capture my artwork in photographs for business purposes on my own, I quickly realized what a challenge it is! I am not qualified, nor do I own the proper equipment to take the photographs necessary for my studio demands. My needs require the talent of an advertising photographer who knows and understands the intricacies and detail work of visual art combined with the skill of a commercial photographer for promotional and business products. I sought someone unique and professional with an eye for detail. I called upon Allen to provide realistic visual shots that capture the depth, shimmer, and little details that make my work special. He met the challenge and delivered life-like images conveying a true representation of my work. I will continue to call on Allen for amplification of my business. Many thanks to Allen Luke for mastering and sharing the art of photography!

Tim Folkenson: Absolutely the best photographer I've ever seen after 20+ years in the wedding business. His thorough approach and attention to detail gets every shot needed without burdening his subjects with unnecessary waiting around. So refreshing to see high end studio quality results from a Wedding Photographer!

Davida Pritchard: Luke Studios did a phenomenal job on my twin daughter's portrait session. I cannot reccomend this photographer highly enough. Allen was personable with my two girls and connected with them in a way to get portraits that communicated their unique personalities. The portraits were creative and inspired by my daughters preferences- he listened to them and then took their ideas and made them even better. He captured moments between my girls that I will treasure forever. I couldn't be happier with the finished product!

Nicole Curioni: Love their work. They are, not only professionals, but also they put their heart in what they do! Keep rocking guys!

Esther Dale: Allen Luke is not only an exceptional photographer, but also a great human being. He is in India, photographing the beautiful children and families in our mission. For 30 years, we could not get good quality pictures that showed our Indian people in their natural setting. Within 30 minutes, Allen was wildly successful in capturing their beauty, and their stories. Allen tirelessly jumped up on chairs and crawled on the floor, getting the perfect photo angles while engaging the people who don’t speak English with his kind smiles, his humor, and his nonverbal skills. He constantly OVERDELIVERS. He does not even break a sweat when traveling to locations more REMOTE than most Americans can imagine. He is respectful and loving. Not only does he photograph these kids—he become their champion. He photographed and posted a picture of two darling girls with a curable eye condition and within hours, 20 of his friends offered to help her with medical expenses. His photos and his advocacy will change the course of these little girls’ lives. We are overwhelmed that such a great photographer and person has chosen to help us tell the stories of these desperately poor children in India. Any organization, person or media organization would be privileged to have Allen Luke as their photographer.#overdelivers#photographeronamission #eyestoseehearttocare#extremephotography

Tammy Nienaber: Allen has several tricks up his sleeve to make sure everyone looks their best!

Angie Morgan: Allen is a fun and fantastic photographer who is able to capture the big moments and smaller ones with creativity and beautiful composition. He has photographed me for multiple purposes - band shots, engagement pics, and wedding pics - and each time, I see myself in a new way and always feel more beautiful because of it. The photos you get from him are absolutely invaluable, and I'm so glad I trusted him with photographing such important days in my life. I just can't stop marveling at my engagement and wedding shots! He was very efficient at getting the photos back to us, too. I highly recommend you choose Luke Studios to capture your important days, too!

Natalie Lord: If you are looking for a typical photography experience, go somewhere else! I have had the pleasure of working with Allen and his team on multiple occasions and would recommend him to anyone. Allen sees the world through a unique perspective and has the ability to transform an ordinary scene into something spectacular. He has a great way of directing his clients, yet at the same time keeping them engaged in the shoot and encouraging mutual creativity. Allen is so aware of all the little details can make a standard photo into one that is captivating. He is, in my opinion, the best photographer in the Twin Cities!

J.M. Dare: it was difficult to decide. Allen is a professional, he knows exactly what he's doing and anyone who uses him will be completely thrilled they did.

Travis Hoglund: Very professional and loved the photos. Allen has a way of bringing out the highest quality photos no matter what the occasion. Thanks for the great work!

Coca Bochonko: When my friend and collaborator, Shannon Loehrke, approached me about getting some publicity shots for our ensemble -- the Loehrke-Bochonko duo, I immediately thought of hiring Allen Luke. I’d worked with Luke Studios before when Allen took pictures for the Music St. Croix chamber music ensemble and I remembered how comfortable it was. Right away, upon his arrival at our site, I knew we’d made the right decision in contacting him. Allen immediately put us at ease, asking questions about who we were as a duo and how we wanted to present ourselves. As he set up and we began to take pictures, he kept the mood light and made us feel comfortable all the way through-even when we decided to climb a tree! We agree that we highly recommend Allen and Luke Studios for any kind of photographic needs. We are extremely pleased with the results of our photo shoot!

Jessica Henderson: I have nothing but great things to say about Luke Studios. Allen is very professional and knows his stuff. From composition, to lighting, to posing, he will give you the perfect photo every time. I have had the pleasure of working with Allen both in front of the camera as well as behind the scenes on other shoots. I couldn't have been happier with the way my own photos looked, and I was impressed with the level of professionalism he displayed at a wedding I assisted with. The photos look like something out of a magazine. If you are looking for gorgeous, unforgettable images, book Luke Studios. You won't be disappointed!

lori reddemann: Luke Studios is much more than a photographer; artist would be a better fit.I had the opportunity to assist in a couple weddings with Allen Luke and he does not just take pictures, he creates spectacular images. Whether this is due to his knowledge of lighting, positioning of the wedding party, angle shots, or a combination of all, Allen takes what most would call a picture and transforms it to become almost 3 dimensional and things just pop! Allen also captures things that you would not ordinarily see in wedding photos, I was amazed at some of the pictures he wanted to capture and I thought to myself, why in the world would you take a picture of that? Well, once the reception started Allen threw out a few teasers, barely edited, and placed them as a slide show on his laptop for the guests to see, and WOW, I was floored at how these unique pictures turned out. IncrediblePersonally, if you have a date for your wedding, give Luke Studios a call and if you’re lucky enough and their free, book em!!

Scott Uram: I have used Luke Studios in both business and personal instances...I have been extremely satisfied with the results and would recommend them to everyone! Scott

Chelsea Schlenker: Allen took my senior photos about 4 years ago and I absolutely loved them. I received a ton of compliments...they were creative and unique. He recently shot my cousins wedding in Chicago and actually laid on the floor to capture a moment of the little flower girl. I will definitely be using Luke Studios to capture my big day when that comes! He is a great photographer!

Jon Guyer: My wife and I had our wedding at the end of 2011, and in preparation for the big day we had every intention of interviewing multiple photographers in person. Our first meeting was with Allen, and he did a tremendous job of going through his experience, what makes his photos unique, and the professional and personal touch he puts into each wedding he works for. After meeting Allen, we knew we did not need to interview anyone else because he answered our questions directly and was very professional. The value he brought to the meeting was tremendous. In the weeks leading to the wedding, Allen and I communicated regularly about our needs and anything on his mind for preparation. He even scouted the wedding venue and took time to identify nice spots for picture taking around Saint Paul. The big day arrived and Allen was calm and in control of the situation. He directed people, he brought lots of equipment, and he made sure that we were getting the shots we wanted for the wedding. He spent lots of time with us, and we felt extremely happy to have Allen help us with lifelong memories. We plan to use Allen's services in the future for our photography needs, and I recommend him to anyone who will appreciate the artistic side of photography.

Jake Wood: Weekdays it's never busy. Weekends get a little busier but you're never bumping elbows with others on the trails like you would at Lake Harriet or Maka Ska. Main loop trail length is 1.5 miles, which makes for great 1 or 2 lap jogs. Plenty of art along the trail to check out. Owls are pretty rad too.

Joan's in the Park: what do users think?

Sydney Davis: Truly a dining experience like no other. The food is delicious - I eat the steak every single time I go because it is my favorite food in the world. I'm pretty sure everything on their menu is made from scratch and every flavor is perfect. They take such care and pay such huge attention to the details. The wine pairings are out of this world, and it's such a luxury to turn off my brain and just know that every sip will be perfect. And the service is the warmest, most competent and most genuine service I have ever experienced. You will feel cared for without feeling smothered, and they will go above and beyond to make sure you are enjoying every moment.

Gaye G.: Our evening at Joan's in the Park was exceptional. Our waiter was personable and helpful, and the food--every bite--was wonderful. We enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and the unobtrusive, but melodic, playlist. It was nice to be able to savor our meal without feeling rushed and, the restaurant is small enough that it's a great place for conversation too.If you are looking for a special and memorable--but not pretentious-- meal, you can't go wrong at Joan's in the Park.If you are celebrating a birthday or anniversary, be sure to let them know when you make your reservation. We were at Joan's for a special occasion, and they added special touches which made us feel celebrated and right at home--all in the best ways.

Karen Sauro: to the overseeing by Joan herself, and all the prep by Jen for our group, we were already blown away. Then the food arrived. Each bite sent us into reverie. Are they magicians??Dietary restrictions: I cannot do butter. They were beyond accommodating!

Zoe Kourajian: This was truly the best meal of my life. My husband and I went for my birthday, and they made it so special with complementary Prosecco, confetti, and a photo to take home. The food and the wine pairings were beyond incredible. If you are looking for, a special meal out, I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. I cannot wait to go back for my birthday next year!

Mathew Lu: . The food was good—more elevated comfort flavors than modernist cuisine

Brianne Vogel: My husband and I recently celebrated our wedding anniversary at Joan’s. Our food, drinks, and service were phenomenal. We especially enjoyed the savory eclairs, beef tartare, duck breast, and brown butter pudding along with the intimate atmosphere. Highly recommend Joan’s for special occasions or just to enjoy an upscale dining experience.

Samantha Marren: . They sent us a complimentary round of champagne to celebrate while our server Dan welcomed us in and answered any initial questions we had.Service, from start to finish, was a proper experience in real hospitality. We were so attended to the entire time. Dan did an exceptional job, we can't say enough. It is so refreshing to receive such care as a guest. It was refined, upscale, and truly fine dining, but it felt as cozy and loving as being in mom/dad/loved-one's dining room. The dining room was full, which is always a delight to see, and the energy of the space was upbeat and lively. The way a bathroom is kept says a lot about an establishment and the bathrooms were clean, they smelled nice, and were clearly well maintained. The menu was absolutely divine. First of all, it was SO fun to look through each course and see dishes that we've never had before, think about what we wanted to try, what we might share together and what we were most excited about individually. Then to receive each course and to be completely blown away by the flavors, textures, plating, and overall harmony of all of the ingredients... It is *abundantly* clear that whoever is leading the BOH/Kitchen is creating from a place of love because we could feel it in every bite of our evening. Each course was such a beautiful experience; however, my particular favorite was the poached shrimp for my second course. We shared a couple of desserts and a bottle of wine and had

The Neu Neu Event Center | Formerly 514 Studios: what do users think?

Celisia Stanton: I am the owner of Celisia Stanton Photography, and one of my clients held their intimate wedding at The Neu Neu. The Neu Neu is a fantastic venue!! The getting-ready rooms have huge windows with tons of natural light, allowing us to capture indoor photos without struggling with awkward shadows or uneven lighting. The ceremony and reception took place in the same room, and the exposed brick and wood detailing provided the perfect backdrop for a moody, intimate celebration. My clients also made full use of The Neu Neu's outside space by setting up a badminton court, hiring the Style Society to provide an outdoor lounge area, and providing a Revere food truck for their guests to enjoy. Both the indoor and outdoor areas are beautiful, and I'd highly recommend The Neu Neu to anyone looking for a great venue in the heart of Minneapolis.

Chelsey: Our guest list ended up being a little larger than we originally anticipated, but Kitty and team were there to help us figure out a layout that ended up working perfectly. We received so many compliments from our guests about the venue. Our bridal party also adored the Natural Light Studio & the 3rd St. Studio. Thank you Neu Neu team for all that you did to help make our day so fabulous!

Amy Lowry: It's a beautiful venue. They lay out is eclectic and interesting. I did not get to stay very long at the event so did not get a feel for the transition from wedding to reception. There is a coffee shop attached which is amazing to me!

Kanchan Hulasare: people at the Neu Neu and it is such a fantastic venue! First and foremost the team there is so kind and involved and wants to make sure all the details are exactly how you want them. We felt very supported and the communication was always very clear! We had the natural light studio for bridal suite and 3rd st studio for grooms suite and both are amazing, spacious areas! The venue was perfect for us, we especially enjoyed the patio space that the main reception area opens up to! Highly recommend this venue!

Suzanne Thompson: Such a beautiful, modern space! So many amazing photo opportunities with incredible light!

Mahle Roth: Such an amazing space. I worked directly with Kitty for a styled shoot for Luxe Bridal, and she was so communicative and very professional to work with! The space was perfect for what we envisioned! Thanks again, Neu Neu!

Luxe Bridal Curvy Couture (Luxe Bridal Curvy Couture): We loved working with Kitty at Neu Neu! It's such an amazing venue for a brides wedding, shower or photoshoot! We loved the huge windows with lots of natural light and the big open spaces as well! Great venue space and professional coordinators, we would highly recommend Neu Neu.

David McCarthy: Demetre, Kitty, and the whole Neu Neu team were extremely helpful before, during, and after the event. Highly recommend!

Kastina Morrison: Love this space for bar and bat mitzvahs or more casual weddings! There's so much you can do there to really make the main room your own. Excellent location. The team there is helpful and so kind!

matt wingard: Amazing venue! Cozy & romantic spaces.

Jaklyn McElveen: Accommodating & wonderful crew of people. Space is gorgeous

Claire Zurn: were all absolutely beautiful. Further, the crew of people running the Neu Neu are exceptional! Kitty was guiding us from our initial tour in 2021 through creating the floor plan in the months before the wedding, and we couldn't be more grateful. She had great ideas of how to utilize the space, and was very communicative. Abby, the day of coordinator provided with our booking, made the day so smooth and worry-free. Their preferred catering vendors are all great too!

Caitlin Searls: Such a great venue. Wedding I went to tonight was absolutely lovely and the bridal suite is to die for.

Megan Keiser: . The Neu Neu's venue director, Kitty, is wonderful - she was so helpful throughout the entire planning process. We were also able to work with an amazing MAVEN and day-of coordinator, Jordan, through The Neu Neu! Both Kitty and Jordan

samuel okai: Great wedding venue!

Brasa Premium Rotisserie- Northeast Minneapolis: what do users think?

Hello World: Ordered the plate for rotisserie with corn bread with the sides of rice and black bean. The company does not take tip as its part of their culture.Definitely supporting this business moving forward.Parking: Parking can be busy.

Alyssa Hernandez: Rotisserie chicken plate with green sauce was perfection. Yuca fries were great. Mac and cheese and corn bread were delicious. Personally I’d pass on the plantains and creamed spinach. But this food was soooo good.Food: 5/5 …

Laurisa Donte: I rook a work meeting here and agreed based on the experience of the person who invited me.I'm so glad we did this. The food was so good that it was hard to focus on business. I asked my waiter about every dish I saw coming from the kitchen.I'll be back!Next time, I'm trying the chicken bowl.Enjoyed my fried fish, by the way seasoned to perfection and with spice. The famous green sauce....MORE PLEASE.They didn't have cheese grits, but I had the Mac and Cheese instead. Whew, I just needed a little more cheese on top, but I still could not stop eating it once I started.Closest to Southern style I have experienced up here.I had the Yuca fries and requested them hot PEPPAS!!!Oh, and did I mention the corn in the cornbread 😋... the way I make it at home.GET YOU SOME BRASA. 😀

Jess S: I hope this doesn't stay closed forever. I love this place.

Nicole Taylor: Fun mini golf

Cherelle Parker: Fun little spot. Burgers were so good. Nicely flavored.Parking: Lots of free parking.

Daniel Lopez: Neat hangout spot, very unusual location for a Ferris wheel but we’re here for it! At the very top you can see the Minneapolis skyline far in the distance. They also have a 9-hole mini golf course while you enjoy your drink or hang with friends. Both of these activities need tickets which you can purchase at the bar. Seems like a really cool spot to hang out with friends for some drinks.

Tenant Restaurant: what do users think?

Eleanor Frisch: This is the finest dining in Minneapolis, hands down. I went in February 2024 and everything was executed with meticulous care. Every single dish was perfectly balanced. There was nothing superfluous, nothing too heavy, nothing too acidic. The wine pairings were well thought out. Also, none of the staff forgot I was a pescatarian at any point. It was also the perfect amount of food. For the quality of the food the prices were extremely reasonable. I have been to most of the fine dining establishments in the Metro and don't think the others, like Travail or Spoon and Stable, which are amazing in their own right, can really compare to Tenant. This is where you bring a true foodie if you want to impress them.

Bethany Charlsen: We've dined here many times and every meal is a unique experience. It's an ideal place to come with friends or just your partner to sit back and enjoy the creativity and care of the chefs and staff. I love that the kitchen staff serves the food as you can tell from the passion in their descriptions, they are proud and eager to share it with you.The bar next door is a perfect place for a pre- or post-dinner cocktail which is a huge bonus! In addition, you can bring your own wine and enjoy with the meal for a very reasonable corkage fee.

The Lynhall No. 2640 LynLake: what do users think?

Margaret Sipola: A fun, adorable place to go for brunch with friends or family! So many different gourmet pastries to choose from. They also offer hot breakfast items. Plenty of seating in a shabby-chic building. I tried a sampler platter of various pastries, all unique and decadent.

Gopinath S: Taste 4/5Ambience 3.5/5Cleanliness 4/5Cost 4/5Good food.. had an amazing brunch on a sunny winter day.

Jorae DuPont: Lovely destination for a baby shower!

Samy Vernet: WOAAH! I think I took my best picture yet!? and how could I not... EVERYTHING about this place screams high class. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with an immediate sense of elegance and fine dining. Perfect for an upscale brunch - honestly I felt like I should be drinking tea.A lot of times with places like this, you think the atmosphere is the attraction in its self... but think again! The food more than held its own. A concise menu with enough variety and phenomenal flavors. The benedict far exceeded anything I could have expected. From top to bottom, everything about this place is inviting. Expect to spend a little bit, but it's certainly worth it! Stop reading and get eating!

Matt _: Awesome!!!

Julia Hall: Incredible venue! Fabulous, attentive and wonderfully proactive staff. Food was impeccable and overall amazing experience! Highly recommend for an event.

David Daily: . And, Impossible Breakfast sausage, which was a pleasant surprise. I don’t eat meat very often anymore and for some reason it’s challenging to find alternative meat options at our local breakfast joints. The Lynhall has a wide range of creative menu items

Ryan C. Van Wyk: , Breakfast Gnocchi and Eggs Benny. Everything was outstanding, the Breakfast Gnocchi was a standout dish, so unique and so full of flavor.Glad that there is still an Edina location; it will be interesting to see how things evolve for the Mpls event space in the years to come.

Lisa Rude: Lovely space. There for a wedding. Excellent service, good drinks, amazing food.

Linh Nguyen: Went here for brunch date and got the brunch bundle which is a great deal. My boyfriend had the Lynhall standard, he said he really liked the scramble eggs but lamb sausage was too salty. I got classic eggs benny, which was okay to my taste. But I really like their pastries, I got the raspberry bear claw which was almost sold out by the time we were there. Nice space and atmosphere!

Dana Curran: Excellent food for a decent price.
