Emily T: Bordertown is by far one of my favorite places near the U of M campus. You really have to look for it since it’s in the middle of the block. Love the charm of the building, makes for a great study or work spot if you can find a seat. Drinks are good, tried a seasonal beverage and it did not disappoint. They definitely put care into your order.

Maureen Wells: This coffee shop is a neighborhood icon. You get fun, friendly service and meet lots of neighbors and characters. There is always an interesting art installation.I buy my coffee beans there and have them grind it. It is a mild Mexican roast and every time I make it for friends, they end buying it too.We are so grateful to John and Andrew for continuing to provide this wonderful service!
max kind of (Siracha): The Boiler Room is my favorite cafe in Minneapolis, especially if I want to stay somewhere for a while, wether to work on one of the big tables or play one of the many games on the shelves! the pastries are always so delicious and change up a lot, coffee is really solid, and they have a nice selection of teas. it’s a super cozy spot, and I also always enjoy checking out the rotating collection of art for sale on the walls too. very lgbt+ friendly as well.
Joe Smeds: I go to the Boiler Room for a coffee twice a week and walk out every time with a satisfying cup of deliciousness in my hands! The coffee is always fresh and flavorful, and it sure helps when you have a courteous staff member preparing your drink. I don’t eat there often but the menu appears to be satisfying, whereas I will simply grab one of a variety of pastries.Added “thumbs up” to the dog friendly atmosphere!!Vegetarian options: Vegan scones!!
Lisa Joy: Do you ever wish your life had break points and played little electric guitar/piano riffs ala Seinfeld/Friends/90s coms and the camera would pan down a city building on a corner street and you'd just be like YEAH, my life is a movie and everything is OK!? Thomas Stevens: If you love the era of independent lil neighborhood coffee shops from the 90s, which I do, this is the place for you. It actually has an atmosphere!!!!Stumbled across this place because it was the only open place close to my gym that was open at 6am on a Saturday. I didn't know my gym wasn't open until 7, this spot was a very nice surprise. It felt like I was walking back into 1996, with a bit of a price adjustment, it would have fit right in during that time. Sydney Gisvold: BEST COFFEE I absolutely love their pumpkin spice and chai syrup blends. Whoever is in charge of that is incredible. The only thing I don't like about the place is the yellow walls. I like yellow but they could definitely use a hue more pleasing to the eye.

Truffle Lover: We started coming here a few years ago, and the first few times were amazing. We were getting light roast single origin espresso shots that were clearly meticulously pulled. Jasmine Goldenstein: Very large building and very busy. Sometimes people come in with their well behaved dogs and i love it! I wasn't a big fan of what I ordered but I tried something new. Coffee itself was nice. Outside of the building is a bar that has outdoor games that some people were playing which is a cool feature. There isn't really any legit outdoor seating but plenty of spots to sit along the plants and a few spots if you can snag one. Parking was in fact easy

Tiffany Cannon: Best coffee in the Twin Cities! I LOVE this place. We come here often and the coffee is always wonderful. It’s like free therapy on a bad day and makes a great day even better. I can’t recommend NC enough. A donut shop is a few steps away, and if you want to take it to go with kids, Hiawatha playground is also not too far of a walk. It is kid friendly if you choose to stay! They have a pastry case with GF options. The items come from local bakeries.

Katie Pope: We had a great experience using Glass House for our indoor winter wedding of 130 guests! The space is very flexible and they have many chair, table, and other furniture options included in the rental. They even had a projector and an outdoor fire pit! The venue staff and bar staff were helpful and accommodating. We especially loved the gorgeous bar area and show room, and the easy parking for guests. Another big selling point is their lovely bar menu selection and awesome local catering partners. Glass House allowed us to have a wedding that represented our shared love for Minneapolis! If you are looking for a unique urban venue, I would definitely recommend Glass House!

Paige: Parking: I usually park a couple blocks away in the neighborhood to the West; hit or miss parking situation depending on busy times.
Sean Lawrence: What a powerhouse of a bakery/cafe experience. Simple, streamlined menu with only solid hits. The staff were eager to assist, yet not impatient with new customers needing time with the menu. Lots of Madonna on the playlist. The cinnamon bun was huge and delightful. I love the hint of yeast in the bready portion contrasting with the tasteful amount of sweet and spice. The coffee cake deserves some love too, with its fruit and walnut crumble topping
