Cedar Lake East Beach: what do users think?

Noah: My favorite park in all of minneapolis

Maximiliano Arturo Riquelme Vargas: It really looks like a nice beach/lake, I doubt I'll go but if the opportunity arises I think I won't visit this place every day.

Eli Curran-Moore: 🏖

Keziah Koslowsky: Great chill spot to hangout and swim!

Cassandra Altringer: Lovely, relaxing beach.

Casey Kreie: the stoner beach

Robert Bischel: My favorite beach in the area

M Galindo: beautiful

Lane Ilstrup: Great vibes besides the park police having a presence there, not quiet because it was a weekend and people had music on/were having fun - the trails around the beach seemed less busy though

Mariana F: Small and nice beach, clean and safe for kids. The water is shallow enough for safety swimming. Loved the view.

Mike Anderson: Great spot to lay on the beach or launch a kayak.. Also I feel safe in the area. No fear of getting mugged or carjacked.. Very pretty area.

Nate H.: It may not be the local secret it once was. Still, it’s the best beach around.Clear water, sandy beaches, big swimming area, and some of the coolest people you will ever meet. Also a mud pit, with a very real local legend known as ”Mud Man”. If you see him, just jump in the like a true Minnesotan.

Kimberly Kay Urban: and I can see my feet in the sand underwater. No cops. No fighting. Nothing scary at all. Some people smoking but no more than usual in Minneapolis on this earth. So simple to sit up wind if you crave oxygen and down wind if you wanna 💨 Families and singles were all present. No lifeguard which means no “rest breaks” and more fun with floaties!!!

Stephen Wigg: If you need shade, this is the one. Parking is a long way off but keeps the crowds down. Reminds me of the beaches in the tropics only they aren’t palm trees.

Carla Oliveira: Beautiful

dave hoover: Looked nice and fun for the folks

claire: beautiful beach! sand is slanted upward which was nice to lay on my stomach to read. nice bathroom and water fountain. so nice to hear the waves crashing and the water was pretty clear.

Jonah Kester: South beach is the best beach on cedar. Me and my girlfriend spend lots of evenings here. There is a cleanish bathroom and drinking fountains with a foot washing station. No sand in your toes.

Susie B: This beach has a friendly, chill vibe. Not crowded. Almost like a private beach.

Juan Panora: Best beach ever

White Sands Beach: what do users think?

Antonio Silva (Tonze): pure nature

Emmy_kitty: Hung out with some buddies here. Pretty simple hike to get here and there’s a clear trail. I would wear hiking boots though.

Trypp Adams: A fairly quite, steep sandy beach with some great views of the river. Saw 1 other person while I was here and they have a few trash cans. Quite a few steps to get down to though.

Metal Detecting Anderson: Beautiful spot and fun trails just wished the sand wasn’t so full of charcoal and trash from people having bonfires down there🙄

Jonathan Tuckner: Do NOT go swimming.

Will P: The best kept secret park in South Minneapolis. Rarely crowded, but is sorely neglected by the city. It's a nice little getaway, but be prepared to walk up and down a lot of stairs and uneven terrain to get there.

Ephraim Nicholson: Beautiful. Some paths leading toward it can be tricky, though. So keep your eyes open! Also, you may see turkey vultures, peregrine falcons, and eagles overhead.

Joe shabadoo: Awesome 😎

Beck Sosa: I be chillin here

Sea C: It’s pretty chill, sometimes too many people for my liking.

Colin Dean: Family friendly

James Carson: Really pleasant Beach to come hang out at.

Vikash Talyan: A fantastic destination - clean and well-maintained beach.. making it a great spot for swimming and sunbathing. But what sets this beach apart is kids park with plenty swings and slide. And if you get hungry, there's no need to leave the beach - there are plenty of food options available right at the corner ..at painted turtle.

Kim Rodriguez: Great place to take the family.

john blaze: Unexpected little gem not too far from the MOA.. You can rent kayaks and paddle boats too. Locals cooking tacos for sale and other foods..Wish I had more time to spend here

Joe Taddeo: Great beach for open water swimming Tuesday and Thursday 5:30pm-7:30pm and Friday and Sunday 9:30am-11:30am

Santiago Escobar: Very nice park to take a walk or run. There are several places to have a picnic. You can also rent a row boat and go for a ride. I saw some people fishing so I guess is a good spot for that.In the northwest side, you can find a pretty good restaurant: Italian Eatery

Planty McPlanterson: I love this beach! There is always a wonderful eclectic and usually small crowd, a fun snack station with coffee and cold drinks, and a great place to walk my dog.

Odin Klun: It’s great

Samuel Heath: Great place to work at. Good for plane spotting

Leah Dix: always love lake nokomis but especially the swan boats!

Paige Westra: Lake Harriet is nestled into a lovely, walkable neighborhood and I often find myself here for sunset. The beach is nice in the summer, although I usually check the MPRB website to check water health before swimming. Generally, this beach is quieter than the other side of the lake.

lyn davis: Really nice walk

Adevanildo Siqueira: Great place, very good for cycling

Marion Sodnik: Perfect day today! You know when it's spring when Bread and Pickle is open! A few tech difficulties, but will be open soon! Awesome views of water and sailboats!

Bde Maka Ska 32nd Street Beach: what do users think?

Jabari “Kc” Scott: Me and my mom have good memories of this place

Sarah Wang: I have been here a few times, and every time, I leave full of excitement and satisfaction. It is never too busy! The first time I went to the beach and we brought a big otter floaty! We played catch in the water and although I was bad at it, I enjoyed the view of the lake and the water felt very nice and cleaner than most lakes. The next time I came here, I played sand volleyball. Some people were very kind to us and let us use their volleyball and they played with us! It was very wholesome. After we played volleyball for a bit, me and Carry saw some people playing spikeball and boy do we love a good run. We asked them if we could play the winner and they said yes. Me and Carry struggled a little at first because we were not warmed up, but after a few points we started cooking. We won by a couple points. The most recent time I came here was also for spikeball and with Carry! It was his birthday and we did a spikeball tournament with some fellas at the gym. We ordered pizza and donuts. It was double elimination and my partner, Jimmy, and I got second place. We lost to Thomas and Le. We were against them in the very first round and lost, so we went to the losers bracket. However, we were cooking it up in there and won the losers bracket and played Thomas and Le again in the championship round! It was wild, but we ended up losing again :( However, I still had a great time and made some wild plays. The parking here is also pretty nice. While you have to pay to park at the beach, there is a ton of street parking and it has never been to busy. People be zooming on the roads though, so make sure there are no cars while you try to parallel park because man parallel parking is HARD!Another thing that would make it even nicer would be more bathrooms. There is one right by the beach in the parking lot, but when I play volleyball, it sure is a hefty walk over there. However, neither parking nor the bathroom situation are impeding enough to make me remove a star.

Christina Wells: Had a bbq with some friends and family. Was a great time! Had fun swimming and hanging out on the beach.

Denis Karamu: Nice Chill spot for a nice evening sunset next to the lake

Salika Pao: Beautiful lake.

Mary Ann Van Cura: Shore restoration , views, quiet water boat launch awesome

Alexandrea Chislum: It's a very beautiful family friendly place to walk around and sight see. Once the park opens I know it's going to be a great summer hangout spot. Oh they do have a ⛱️

Molly Evans: What a beautiful day for a walk and what a beautiful path around the lake! The only downfall was that there were porta potties only on one side of the lake, So when we had to go to the bathroom, we had to walk halfway around the lake to get to the bathroom. I am sure as the weather warms up that they'll open the other restrooms as well but in the meantime plan ahead!Restrooms: Only one set up bathrooms on one side of the lake and it's the opposite side of the lake as the main entrance.

Lorri Daniels: It's a park.

Sebastian Witzany: , easy to find, caribou coffee shop walking distance from the plunge site^¥^

Tim Ngo: Did my first polar plunge here with the Wounded Warrior Project

Dominic Wong: A neighborhood recreational park that's well kept and easily accessible.

El Negro Wonder: Shocking fauna

PoOkiE KilLa: Great place for kids to swim. Great place to go for walks. Great place to enjoy lunch outside. What else needs to be said. It can get busy on the weekends in the summer so go early.

Marc Weber: If you're looking for a place to play on a sunny day,Shady Oak Beach is the perfect spot to stay. The beach is sandy, clean and wide,The water is clear and everyone gives high fives. The play area has swings, slides and more,For kids of all ages to explore. The concession stand has yummy treats and drinks,And the rentals are fun and cheap, I think. You can canoe, kayak or paddleboard on the lake,Or just relax and enjoy the break. The staff are helpful and kind,And the lifeguards are always on their mind.Shady Oak Beach is a great place to go,I recommend it to everyone I know.

Mary Lou Peterson: Restrooms: Porta pottyPicnic area: Nice tables...clean

Mala Dude: Awesome spot to bring the kiddo, the beach area and lake are great. Only thing is to tell these little teeny bopper lifeguards to take it easy on the whistles and megaphone when it comes to adults, we know what we're doing.

Brian Tix: Picnic area: Nice picnic area overlooking lake.

Confessions of Prakhar Mittal: Awesome with tickets

Anna Subialka: I love this beach! The water is super well maintained and the diving/jumping dock area is a huge plus! The only downside is SO MANY KIDS and parents don't seem to care to watch and monitor them so they become your problem. Great lifeguarding staff and they do fun events!

Faux: Very nice beach, affordable prices. Usually we go during Twilight Hours where the cost if half-off and there's plenty of room. The diving boards can get crowded. They claim no-dogs allowed but I watched someone let their dog piss in the water a hundred feet away from the kids area.

Tisha Miller: Fantastic place to cool off while on vacation with my child! Clean, plenty of lifeguards, snacks, bathrooms, ect!

Adam Bobst: Fun!

Antonieta: I love
