Christine Ramirez: Love this gym!

Ikram Ali: Wonderful welcoming and great space and I love it work out there

David Safranski: Great locally owned, neighborhood gym in the Northeast! Staff is extremely knowledgeable and easy to work with. They have done some great work during Covid to get things set up safely.

Jason Fisher: Great gym

Mac Agyepong: Great place to workout.

Joe Hirscher: This gym is better equipped than the national chains to which I belong! Plus it isn’t crowded! You can train without having to wait for popular equipment to open up!

Rebecca A: Best gym I've ever belonged to. They are like family. Too bad I moved away.

Nate Taylor: Great local club. Good people.

Christina Larson-Dickson: I've been a member at several different gyms over the years and this is hands down the best to meet the needs of my family and my exercise goals. The staff is super friendly, the gym goers are all ages and abilities. They've got a good variety of classes available as well as machines, trainers and free weights. Free towels, nice showers and it's clean! The childcare here is far above LA or even the Y. If you have little ones, this is the place to be for care you can trust. I only wish the gym was bigger, but they use their space well.

Basecamp Fitness Minneapolis (North Loop): what do users think?

Alan Yan Jr.: Great workout with awesome instructors! Very supportive community as well!

Cass S: .From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted with encouragement from the staff alleviating any apprehension I had about starting my fitness journey. What struck me most was their genuine desire to see every member succeed, regardless of their fitness level or goals. The facility itself is nothing short of impressive. It's evident that cleanliness and maintenance are top priorities here, which only adds to the overall positive experience. The most surprising revelation for me was discovering the joy in working out. Thanks to the instructors and engaging classes, working out transformed from a dreaded task into a fulfilling activity I look forward to, with each workout leaving me feeling accomplished.

Erica F: Basecamp always makes working out enjoyable! The instructors and staff are amazing. They get to know you and are always offering good tips and adjustments in class.

Isabella: but this is my favorite!

Makenzi Reichardt: I love Basecamp! I started attending through class pass, and quickly found that Basecamp topped all other classes. I soon canceled my class pass membership & solely joined Basecamp. It has become a daily routine for me. The workouts, coaches, and atmosphere cannot be beat. Basecamp helps to keep me motivated and consistent. I look forward to Basecamp being the best part of my day & recommend it to all my family and friends. Join! Best decision I’ve made.

Andrew Magnuson: Awesome workout! Intense cardio - highly suggest if you need an intense workout to kick start or end your day!

Danny Strohman: , and separated by the muscle groups targeted

Francis Luzum: Basecamp Fitness is wonderful place to work out. The variety in the exercises makes the class fly by. The instructors are enthusiastic, personable, and motivating. The North Loop studio has a great sense of community. The camaraderie among participants creates a supportive and encouraging environment. It's a great workout!

Robbie Schulz: The trainers here are exceptional. They are knowledgeable and very motivating. They ensure that every session pushes you to your limits while maintaining safety and proper form. Whether you’re a beginner or seasoned athlete, they make sure your workouts are challenging and supported. The variety of different workouts ensures that they never become monotonous, keeping motivation levels high.

Mary Horton: . I also appreciate the effort by staff to build community by organizing occasional social events. Makes it easy to have gym friends! I’d recommend to anyone looking for a good all-around workout! It also has very down to earth vibes, so feels welcoming!

Josie Johnson: I had my first experience at Basecamp Fitness today and I absolutely loved it! Everyone was super friendly, great customer service. And the workout was fantastic! I highly recommend.

Corey Sebens: Great gym and staff. Free parking is a huge bonus. If you want a quick, efficient workout Basecamp is perfect.

Joe Swanson: I’ve been to two classes so far and they’ve both been excellent! Great facilities, incredible and challenging workout, and the instructors are incredibly engaging and knowledgeable.

Kristina DiAngelo: Basecamp Nolo is the best fitness community I've ever been a part of. Jason, the Studio Manager, is the mastermind behind all the fun events that make this place so unique. Zak "No Sleeves" Beasy, the Fitness Manager, is an absolute gem. Not only is he incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to fitness, but he's also one of the most approachable and friendly people you'll ever meet. Their entire team makes you feel part of the Basecamp family from the moment you walk in.The workouts themselves are only 35 minutes, but you'll be amazed at how fast you'll see results. They put you to work but it's a ton of fun and the camaraderie amongst members is a large part of what encourages you through the workout.Go try your first class. It's usually free!

Elizabeth Klein: But if you live nearby and don't have to drive a bit

YWCA Minneapolis - Midtown: what do users think?

J T: For the price of membership and what you get in return, it’s worth to have a membership here. I originally chose the Y, because higher end gyms are double the price. I park on the street for free. The staff is always kind and helpful. The cliental is diverse.

David Ingold: , and I enjoyed the pool, sauna, and gym! Staff were friendly too.

ZeSa Fitness: what do users think?

Ashley Gertonson: where I could learn how to do strength training using proper form in a slow and controlled manner.ZeSa is THE place for me. I honestly couldn't be happier. I look forward to coming to class and I've been happily challenging myself and seeing progress. The instability training and balance challenges make the workouts much more mentally engaging than simply following along a routine. Speaking of which - routine isn't quite the word I would use for these classes.... Aside from basic warm up and cool down, we've never done the same workout twice!Power and Strength classes with Cindy are my absolute favorite, but there are also more high intensity classes available for those who prefer that type of workout experience, and some yoga/mindfulness classes as well.Cindy is so warm, welcoming, and encouraging! She also fully participates in every workout, every time, and that is really inspiring! The environment and fitness experience at ZeSa is so unique and in a beautiful environment you simply won't find anywhere else. The first week at ZeSa is free; I came for three days to try to get the best idea of the experience and was completely hooked within ten minutes of my first class. I can't recommend this gym highly enough!

Sophia Moore: Incredible group fitness. Great studio culture and workout! I immediately felt my core gaining strength after having a baby. Definitely worth checking out if you need to strengthen your core because the activators engage your core throughout the whole workout. I also noticed less back pain when picking my kids up after only a couple classes. Give the free week a shot!

Amanda Hoyhtya: I went to ZeSa throughout my full pregnancy and my OB said she was so impressed with my core strength and that it helped me with delivery, recovery, and getting back to my normal weight really quick. I never expected these benefits by going to ZeSa but am so happy I chose this as my workout during pregnancy and swear by it now given my experience.

Hunter Babcock: Amazing Atmosphere, and really cool products. One of the best workouts I have had in years, working my whole body and brain/balance.Staff is very friendly, highly recommend.

Ryan Spence: This is a super challenging workout! Very clean and nice facility and Cindy V is a great coach!

Rebecca Mazza: If you're getting bored with typical workout classes, this is a great place to try! All of the classes will keep your body and mind guessing what's coming next. It is a great core workout. All of the instructors are so welcoming and attentive.

Gregory Bernard, D.C.: Wow! Everyone should be doing this. This is core core core 10x, and they have a stair stepper approach from beginner to master. With almost every injury and every aging adult suffering from core weakness - this system is unique, fun and effective. Thanks Cindy.

Rachel Nygaard: Wonderful workout and very positive instructors!

Katrina DeWit: Checked out the Intro Class this morning! Cindy was a darling instructor, and made me feel comfortable trying out some of the movements, despite my lack of grace and balance. Will definitely be back!

Dale Brose: Visiting for their official kick-off. A unique studio featuring an updated approach to fitness.ZeSa focuses and the connection between strength and balance. Often using familiar yoga poses.ZeSa has been in development for awhile and this studio is the first in the country featuring ZeSa and it's brand of balance+ strength training.

The Movement Minneapolis Gym: what do users think?

Ian Maher: Amazing functional strength and barbell training gym. I've done Crossfit and powerlifting. They've got me stronger than I've been in a long time and healthier than I've been in my adult life. Great coaching, incredible programming, and the biofeedback basics allows for regular variation in core lifts to reduce injury while still allowing continued progress with major muscle groups.

Nina Goldberg: The Movement is absolutely a hidden gem. A year ago I started working out here in order to get stronger, lose weight and improve the health of my low back after surgery. My expectations were beyond met. I have lost weight and am stronger than I’ve ever been in my life. The shape of my body has changed and I feel strong and powerful not just in the gym but in my daily life. The way I move about and do everyday activities has changed because I can actually feel my muscles all the time! I don’t get bored with the gym routine because it changes often. As someone who doesn’t love to workout and wasn’t confident with heavy lifting, I love having help nearby at all times. After a scary back injury, I can finally trust what my body is capable of thanks to The Movement. Every trainer is kind and welcoming, ready to offer tips and advice. There is no judgement or pressure, and I’m never expected to do something that hurts. Finally, hard work and heavy lifting that FEELS GOOD! What?!? No matter who you are, this gym has something very special to offer!

Andrew Legrid: I can't say enough good things about this place. More than anything it's a wonderful and positive community of people--both the staff and other members. It really feels like you're a part of something being there and I know they are very intentional about making the place that kind of environment. I always felt even on my worst days the staff and fellow members would say or do something to make me feel more positive about where I was at fitness-wise and just feel positive about my experience. It helped me to find joy and fun in my own fitness goals, which is how it should be. The individual attention is wonderful and you're absolutely met where you're at and made to feel okay about that while still being ambitious about your goals. It's a warm, welcoming, affirming, and justice-oriented community of people. I can't recommend the place enough.

Susan Gaines: The Movement welcomes every body, everyone, to get strong according to where you are right now. It is fun, low key and motivating. It’s a great place for people who don’t like the traditional gym setting. I have been there for more than 5 years and I’ve gotten stronger without injury, with support and encouragement.

Anita Chikkatur: the difference between a trap bar, Jefferson, and sumo deadlift. I've never stuck with a gym for more than a few months so the fact that I'm still here and going regularly after 20 months is in itself a testament to the supportive and informed approach that all the coaches here take to strength training.

Jacob Morse: injury rap sheet. Rather than fear mongering about limitations and liabilities, this place has a "we'll find what you can do and work from there" attitude. Broken or injured in some way or another? That's cool, not only do they have a highly qualified DPT that works there, they'll also find ways to make you strong if you're healing from something more acute.

Stuart Blessman: Movement Minneapolis is literally a life changing gym and community. From the care and attention the trainers give to each member, to the guided workouts and custom fitness assessments the staff conducts, it's been a core part of my life and community for the last few years and has helped me lose over 80 lbs and develop a brand new life.

p z: I've never been a gym type of guy, but a friend recommended this place to me after I had some nagging sports injuries. Great knowledgeable trainers, small groups that are cool and inclusive, one-on-one feedback. It's a really great gym.

John Hansen: After 5 years, I can definitely say this place keeps me coming back. The warm welcoming environment has helped me become consistent and meet my training goals. The practical efficient programming has given me better results than I have experienced at other gyms and with less of the agony. I still hit new PRs after all of these years too. I couldn’t be happier.

Spencer Gifford: Been going here off and on for about a year. The owner, David, is approachable and friendly. The rest of the staff are also awesome. I'd recommend this gym to anyone looking for a group atmosphere and wanting to get in serious shape. I left for a few months and realized with going here three times a week VS a regular gym I was in better shape than I ever was.5/5

Hemant Sethi: My experience with The Movement has been nothing short of incredible!Very solid community of people working hard to make themselves and people around them better. Every workout is extensively planned by the trainers and no two sessions are the same to keep things interesting. The trainers are very easy to approach and know what they are doing/talking about. The best part is that they make you set goals for yourself and help you get closer to them in every way possible. If I remember correctly, the first session is free, so give it a shot and I bet you won't regret it!PS: The Movement recently started a Run Club which I am very excited about!!

Elan Malrose: The movement is the most amazing gym in minneapolis/st.paul if not the whole world. I started the gym at age 21 and went all through my first pregnancy and the trainers, the program, everything was perfect for every stage of life. If you want to get stronger physically, mentally, and emotionally GO HERE! They have made something truly special here.

Abbie Elsner: I've ever known, great workouts; I saw incredible results and made life long friendships!

Dustine Stevens: Cool.place with really great owners and members

Tula Yoga & Wellness: what do users think?

Jaime Erbach: Wonderful place.

Kelli McCully: I am in love with Tula, especially anything SomaYoga. If you like a slow-paced, very deliberate and aware practice, give it a try.

marieT Parke: My daughter Kaylee attended Tula Yoga for a while and loved it, the classes are scheduled at kids pace per age group, very calming and positive results! Kayleeizagfcfkid

Anne Lampright: The teachers are all so kind and offer something for people of all levels. I try to bring my family and friends as often as possible! Thanks, Tula!

Shawn Blackburn: I am so glad that I decided to try Yoga. Especially with this new Zoom Class in home format. And, with Tula Soma as my starting point. I started with zero background and in just a few short weeks I am seeing a difference in movement and pain management. Dan has a quiet calm assurance and knowledge that helps lead the class and discussion. I was also happy to share a space with only men while we talked about issues that we all face safely. There could be a bit of improvement with the Zoom class Technology limiting the uses of Audio and Visual and I'm sure that will come. I look forward to continuing my learning and practice with Tula.

Philip Guettler: , called "The Men's Series". As you might have figured out; it was for guys only. I signed up because I wanted to get more into yoga, but had been intimidated by co-ed yoga in the past and the "men's only" aspect was appealing. Our instructor was Dan and he was exceptional. Not only because of his knowledge and calm demeanor, but because he encouraged and accepted wherever we were in our yoga journey. We had some beginners and some that were more advanced; but I think it worked for all of us. I know it worked for me. I especially enjoyed our check-in at the beginning of our session. We would each talk about how we were doing and Dan would usually discuss a topic around the positive thinking and meditation aspects of yoga. Yoga apparently, is not only about the movements; it's about the mind as well. The class exceeded my expectations.

Michael Bellotti: By far One of the best yoga establishments in town. Super awesome environment to learn and practice. They have some amazing art hanging on the walls as well. If you’re not located near this place it’s definitely worth the trip over for a class.

Ahmisa Baysudee: Took the class that's for families through the Emily Program.Their facility is beautiful, and people are kind! The class was fantastic! We've learned great yoga practices and body ideals!

Ross Edgemon: Very welcoming staff, very spacious, excellent instruction. A very loving kind community. Being donation based is great. I always give as much as I can afford and don't feel guilty even if it's just 5$, which is the minimum. This studio has me back into my practice again.

Paige Carter: Absolutely love Tula. The teachers are all wonderful and supportive and offer a variety of classes that are affordable for nearly any budget! Highly recommend

Maggie McConville: I went to my first zumba class here and it was so fun. I recommend going with some friends.

Jennie Jensen: This is a beautiful studio with courteous staff! Overall great atmosphere!

Knockout Bodies Pole & Aerial Studio: what do users think?

Vanessa Zins: I went to a bachelorette party event where we were introduced to the Lyra and silks. As someone who has never done either, I thought the instructor was incredible. She broke down the steps in such a simple way, and built every new move on the previous one. I am far from good at it, but it was a fun experience. It is a clean and cute studio. The staff at check-in were helpful and patient during waiver signing. Street parking was easy.

Heather R Swensen: Great studio. The street has parking and felt safe. The studio is clean and the environment is welcoming. Teacher was knowledgeable and made it fun! Highly Recommend.

Danielle Pebbles: I am in my second round of "Intro to Lyra".I liked it so much I wanted to try it again before I move to more advanced classes.I received an email before the class started on what the expectations were and how the class would be structured. The instructor I have had is Jane and they are just so wonderful and funny. Besides being very informative Jane was very patient and encouraging of everyone in class. It's for sure a challenge, but rewarding as well.this studio is adaptive for all body sizes and types which I so grateful for. Thank you for such a fun class. ❤️

Jaclyn Bohm: It was a lot of fun. Sienna was great at breaking down the moves for us who have never done this before.

Alyssa Taubin: I stopped here while traveling, and as someone who owns a studio and has visited over 50 other studios around the world, this was among the friendliest group of dancers I've ever walked into. I was immediately treated like a part of the studio community. I'd highly recommend this studio to any locals or visitors looking for a space that feels like home. Y'all are always welcome at Positive Spin in Seattle 3

Sandra Shepard: I was pretty nervous starting cause i have almost no real experience with areal or dance, but I have had such an amazing time. The studio is beautiful. The staff are kind and patient and fun. The students are all so supportive. I’m obsessed and I love that I can feel myself getting stronger and more confident!

Allie Reischl: Enjoyed my class with Elaine Fontaine! Had a blast moving and grooving with my friends.

Brittany Duncan: This place is amazing! The owner/instructor is amazing with making everyone feel super comfortable and welcoming. As a 1st time dancer myself she went out of her way to make me feel empowered in my body! If I could give her 10 more stars I would!

Jennifer Zabinski: Do you need a way to get some movement in your life with some positive people? Take a class here. It’s a great community. It’s inclusive, safe and friendly. My favorite classes are with Steven!! He makes you feel so welcome and appreciated.

Emily D: . If you're looking for a studio that feels more like a chosen family, I can't recommend Phoenix Flight more.

Leah Medina: Such a blast!

Annie Foster: I've been doing pole classes here for about 2 months and it's absolutely amazing. All the staff, and the people who take lessons, are super nice and helpful. Everyone just wants everyone else to have fun and work out at a level that's comfortable for their body. I would highly recommend coming here!

Remy Herrera: Was introduced to this place by an instructor, and was just told to try it out and stop in for an hour session. I have no prior dancing experience or even touched a pole before. Let me tell you I am blown away with the teachings I was given in the hour session! Very impressed with the skills and instruction given! Quite a workout too but very much needed☺ looking forward to fully signing up to continue learning with all the beautiful ladies that are within! 💖

Maddie Seymour: I would highly recommend to any and everyone in the Minneapolis area!

Shelby Geldon: All the teachers are super helpful!

YWCA Minneapolis - Downtown: what do users think?

trent lawrence: I recently visited this YMCA location, and I must say, it's one of the cleanest and most well-maintained facilities I've ever experienced. The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating, making the process of obtaining my 3-day pass a breeze. Once inside, I was impressed by the extensive selection of free weights and machines, as well as the spacious layout that allowed for a comfortable workout environment. This YMCA truly exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch fitness facility.

M Smith: Love this place! Plenty of exercise equipment in good repair. Great, quiet pool with lap swim never crowded. Very clean throughout. Safe locker rooms with built-in locks. Never crowded.

Garim Lee: , spacious vanity spaces, and individual spaces to change clothes.I did not register for the membership just in case, because I wanted to have some experiences before I actually join as a member. I think I am going to join, as I look forward to visiting this gym more frequently.

Esther Osayande: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityAbsolutly love this YWCA. My only regret is that I didnt join earlier!

Mary Anne Falker: Thomas in membership is kind and concerned about your membership. He follows up on his email. The facility is clean and close to pristine. I have no fear of Covid there because their protocol is in place. It is as well maintained as a hospital and I work in a hospital. Everything is up to standard for infection control. And yet they make you feel accepted and welcome when you walk in the door. They don't put on airs, they are kind and generous. Thank you ☺️💖

Jacqueline Thompson: Clean and accessible. Nice club.

360 Guide: awesome healing experience

Anamaria La Fontaine: I joined this gym about 3 months ago and have had a very positive experience. All of the staff members are very friendly, it isn't too busy, and the instructors for the classes really get to know you and your needs. I am one of those people that prefers cardio machines and classes over free weights and it fits my needs for both. I don't think I've ever had to wait for a cardio machine.

John Wright: Friendly, healthy atmosphere.

Sam Michaels: Highly recommend, especially for pilates. The front desk staff does a great job at learning everyone's name and the instructors are WONDERFUL at correcting form and giving adaptations if you have injuries. The studio is always open to feedback and often tries new formats and schedules to accommodate requests. If you can afford the small group reformer or private pilates, they have great facilities and knowledgeable trainers.

Tess Hosier: and the awesome classes/upbeat instructors - this place has it all. When you go somewhere to workout you shouldn't have to compromise

Joy Cali: , and love getting home with my workout completed. I would like a class later than 5 on Friday , and few more options sat and Sunday . I think cycling will fill this gap well.

Rayleigh Kaye: I'm so glad I took up your 2 month for $99 offer. In two weeks, I've taken 5 classes. The staff and other participants have been very welcoming. I enjoy the follow up emails that keep me on track. All in all, it's been a great experience!

Harriet Adams: Love the classes and the atmosphere. Everyone has been so welcoming, from the front desk staff to instructors to others in the classes I've taken. The music is great, and there is so much energy in the room during class.

Esperanza Carlos: I feel great after class and thoroughly enjoy all of the friends that I have met there. The instructors are amazing and I love the information that is emailed out regarding health and wellness .

Emma Williams: I love going to Studio TimeOut! The classes are challenging, but fun and the instructors are very knowledgable and enthusiastic. I have back issues and am not always able to perform some of the exercises, but the instructors are always willing to share ways that each exercise can be modified to accommodate almost any limitation. I come away having gotten a really good workout and without hurting myself. It's a very welcoming place where everyone knows your name.

Zoe Moore: This is the neighborhood's best kept secret. Falling out of shape is bad enough, the work of getting back into shape shouldn't feel like a herculean task. I have a feeling the community feeling and the varied class types and levels will give me the momentum I need and the encouragement along the way.

Marie Campbell: Coming to the studio is like going to my "happy place". For an hour or two I can turn off mental chatter and focus on what I'm doing right now. The instructors have a good ability to teach and correct when necessary so students can get the most of their class time.

Paula Lucci: Wonderfully energetic, dedicated instructors who want you to have fun while you work hard. I always feel better after class than I did coming in. If you're going to sweat, you might as well do it in a gorgeous, clean space with lots of natural light.

Charlene Pfeiffer: Studio TimeOut is a great place to join for anyone at any fitness level. Whether you're just beginning or advanced, every class works. The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful - they'll show you how to make modifications for any move or how to make it more difficult. I've been going to the studio for 3 years and have increased my strength and flexibility...not to mention losing inches and pounds! I recommend this studio to anyone looking to begin or continue a healthy lifestyle.

Hannah Burns: I love the variety and levels of classes available at Studio Timeout, and especially that there is a reformer studio. I've rehabilitated from injuries, and hope to get back soon after my latest back injury. Instructors always know you by name, and will adjust particular parts of an exercise if you need a modification. A great all-around source for exercise, nutrition, and well-being!

Maegan Bruce: All of the instructors at TimeOut are super motivating and knowledgable! They make sure that you are positioned correctly during exercises to decrease the risk of injuries and increase your results! They almost always offer alternative positions if you have circumstances that limit you in anyway. I always leave class knowing that I had a great workout!

Venegas Dewberry: . I like coming to class on Thursday evenings because I go home relaxed and ready to wind down my day. Even though I just do Pilates mat one time a week, I can already tell that my hip is feeling better.

Lions Gym & Wellness Center: what do users think?

Judaisha Jackson: From the time I walked in, the co-owners completely treated me with respect. They were so friendly, welcoming and accommodating. It felt so good to be apart of something with a purpose. I will definitely be back.- Judy

Amir Boloor: Best gym in the country! This gym has great equipment, friendly people, and an amazing staff! I had a bad car accident a few months ago and Dr. Menya has helped me come so far I could not be more grateful. I’ve been to many gyms over the years, none compare to Lions.

David Bartels: Big fan of this gym. I’ve been a member for over 2 years now. They have all the essential equipment, everything is well kept, it’s never too crowded, & staff are super friendly. As I’ve gotten more consistent this has become my new “happy place”.

Dr. Stephen Menya was very understanding of my concerns & fully explained how his treatment would help strengthen my bones by strengthening & working with my muscles!! I have seen him for a number of sessions & I am seeing great results! My stiffness in my neck is improving which results in less dizziness. People are helpful and dedicated to bettering their health.Besides the people here, the equipment is amazing. It is all well loved and cared for. People actually wipe down the equipment when they are done with it. The staff makes sure everything is in working order and do very frequent deep cleans of the space. They have everything you could need here. Cardio machines, free weights, machines, dynamic movement equipment, ropes, tires, sledgehammers, and crossfit racks. Everything you could need to get and stay fit is located inside the doors of Lions. This place feels like home. People care for you and want to see you succeed.
