There are ample spaces for your guests to spread out throughout the day, from the Wine Grotto in the basement to the front porch outdoors to the spacious ballroom upstairs. I was having so much fun upstairs that I actually forgot to even visit the Wine Grotto!Beyond the venue itself, the incredible coordinator, Katherine Bailey, makes the entire process so smooth and enjoyable. Katherine is the best! She is incredibly helpful and responsive, and I am so grateful to have had her on my team.I will always remember this place so fondly. Do yourself a favor and book Semple Mansion for your wedding! 10/10 recommend.

It can be difficult to find a mansion venue that doesn't feel broken up into rooms that split up the guests, but Semple Mansion has the perfect layouts & flow for both ceremony and reception needs. It's easy to spend the entire day there and not feel like you need a change of scene. It was also super convenient to utilize the high-quality vendors that are already based within Semple Mansion. Guest parking is no problem, the ballroom is stunning, and we also loved that we could utilize the grand piano for live music during our ceremony. We couldn't dream of a better wedding venue.

We are city dwellers but love the outdoors and NIP was the perfect backdrop that brought both of those worlds together. The well-maintained outdoor space provided a stunning backdrop for our ceremony and cocktail hour while the industrial vibe of the venue building provided some urban romance for the evening reception.The attention to detail displayed by the venue's staff was exceptional. We had 155 people and it was spacious for everyone. We truly could not have had such of a great wedding without Victoria, the venue coordinator. She was responsive and quick to answer all my questions! She went above beyond in every single aspect of the day. Anyone would be so lucky to have her there for their special day!

Demetra Williamson: The space has a main and second floor. There were big windows that let a lot of natural light it which was nice. They had family style restrooms upstairs and a men and womens on the main floor. There was a bar/sink area in the middle of the front of the upstairs area which could be great, unfortunately for the event I went to the middle bar made it a bit difficult for people on the other side of the room to seem what was going on. Overall great and I loved the giant mirror they had on the stair case landing.

I recently took part in a fashion show hosted at FIVE Event Center, and I was blown away by the beautiful space, the atmosphere they created there, and their wonderful venue manager Victoria. Celisia Stanton: I am the owner of Celisia Stanton Photography, and one of my clients held their intimate wedding at The Neu Neu. The Neu Neu is a fantastic venue!! The getting-ready rooms have huge windows with tons of natural light, allowing us to capture indoor photos without struggling with awkward shadows or uneven lighting. The ceremony and reception took place in the same room, and the exposed brick and wood detailing provided the perfect backdrop for a moody, intimate celebration. My clients also made full use of The Neu Neu's outside space by setting up a badminton court, hiring the Style Society to provide an outdoor lounge area, and providing a Revere food truck for their guests to enjoy. Both the indoor and outdoor areas are beautiful, and I'd highly recommend The Neu Neu to anyone looking for a great venue in the heart of Minneapolis.

Chelsey: Our guest list ended up being a little larger than we originally anticipated, but Kitty and team were there to help us figure out a layout that ended up working perfectly. We received so many compliments from our guests about the venue. Our bridal party also adored the Natural Light Studio & the 3rd St. Studio. Amy Lowry: It's a beautiful venue. They lay out is eclectic and interesting. I did not get to stay very long at the event so did not get a feel for the transition from wedding to reception. There is a coffee shop attached which is amazing to me!

We had our Venue Tour + Vendor Meetup held on the 50th floor Windows at Marquette in downtown Minneapolis.We were so high up in the sky, one of the tallest skyscrapers in Minneapolis, the IDS building. You can seriously see for miles and miles out into the suburbs. Gorgeous spaces inside for any event with sweeping views outside with ceiling to floor windows.Marquette served a wonderful spread for brunch that included: toasted bagels slathered with cream cheese, capers and smoked salmon. Lots of fresh fruits, cantaloupe, melons, honeydew, melon, strawberries. And with the brunch theme there was wonderful toasted hashbrowns, and yummy quiche. We were lucky enough to have a clear, sunny day to fully enjoy the panoramic views, but going into my wedding without having to worry about a rainy day backup option gave me major peace of mind. The Marquette's team was also great to work with. They were helpful and communicative all throughout our planning process, and everything ran smoothly on the big day. The food was great, the bartenders were efficient, and everything went perfectly. They were also flexible and helped us to plan a multi-cultural fusion wedding, which was extremely important to us. Finally, having a hotel right there, across Crystal Court, made it smooth and easy for out of town guests to get to the wedding without needing to arrange special transportation. I can't imagine a better wedding venue.

Kara Haro: Working with the staff at Windows on Minnesota is a seamless process. They are communicative, pleasant and helpful and a real joy to work with. Both the planning/sales staff and the onsite staff during the event worked quickly and quietly to provide the best service for our event. The location can't be beat- your guests are in awe overlooking downtown Minneapolis and what lays beyond. Plus, the venue itself is interesting in the IDS tower, has ample parking available onsite and the furnishings and cleanliness are unparalleled. 5 stars!

Started the day with a get ready room prepared by the hotel and added on breakfast for the wedding party on the 3rd floor which was so spacious and made PERFECT get ready photos! Groomsmen used a suite to get ready in and we loved having our own spaces to keep the morning calm and special for all of us. Our ceremony was off site, but used Stars for a cocktail space for our 200 guests which had perfect views and LOVE the passed mushroom arancini appetizer!! My only recommendation is adding an extra bar

S Kruger: Attended a wedding here and it was a nice place. The decor surprisingly light and sparkly, they really went heavy with the reflective surfaces. The bar was well stocked, and run. The food, which was Italian, was good and plentiful. The ceremony and reception took place in the same room and the set-up of the reception didn't take too long. My only criticisms would be the chairs were very uncomfortable by the end of the wedding and the decorative drapes were so dirty they were gray. They need to be taken down and washed. Seriously, take the time.

Elisabeth Clemans: We just got married at Day Block and it was wonderful. Chris and Jeff are nice and professional. The space is absolutely gorgeous and they were so accommodating to our plans and set up. Our bartender for the night, Jessica, was wonderful and personable! I definitely recommend Day Block for your wedding or event!

Ty Ebert: Like most people sharing here, I was at the venue for a wedding. I moved out of downtown before this opened a while back and had only been downstairs for the pizza and music. The event spaces was well put together and appropriately sized for a 100 to 125 person wedding. There was room to get away from the dancing and chill on the balcony facing US Bank Stadium. As it happens, there was live music in the restaurant patio itself and we got to enjoy that too!The food was good and the staff seemed very responsive to moving tables around when it came time to dance and cleaning up the occasional spilled drink.

Laura Guzman: We used Day Block for our ceremony, reception, and used their bar services. We picked them primarily because they had an open catering and bar policy and the space is really naturally beautiful. Brittany was our main point of contact and she was responsive to our questions and helped us figure out different options to help the day go smoothly. We ended up renting their first floor auxiliary taproom to move people downstairs during dinner for a cocktail hour and it worked great! It was also really nice that they had tables and chairs we could use for free. The space is beautiful and much more affordable than similar spaces in Minneapolis. We did hire a day-of coordinator to help manage a lot of the details of the day and would recommend others do the same. Also, we were so glad we used their bar services! The selection was great and well priced and the bar tenders managed our rowdy crowd well!

Ashli Theis: Day Block provides a very “hands off” experience, which is what we were looking for. We were able to bring in our own caterer and bar and that saved us a lot of money. It is a stunning space and they allow you to make it your own. We were sold on all of its natural elements: brick walls, hardwood floors and natural lighting. We had about 125 guests and we all fit pretty comfortably. Their event manager Brittany was really lovely to work with – she was kind and quick to respond to all of our questions. Ethan, the person we worked with on the day of, was very helpful with all of our needs.

The best part was the team who was there for you every step of the way. When we inquired, we worked with Jenna Zamjahn in the beginning of planning stages, and we connected with her instantly where she felt like an old, trusted friend. Jenna is super knowledgeable, helpful, and just an absolute joy to work with that we knew that this was the place for our big day. Once we decided on the venue, we worked with the wedding coordinator, Monica Sanger and because of her, it was a seamless process. Monica is the best at what she does. She goes above and beyond and made us feel like her top priority, super attentive and always there for us if we needed help. Her strong work ethic, eye-to-detail, compassionate heart are what make her stand out. We are forever grateful for having to work with Jenna and Monica and the whole VDM team for our special day. If it wasn’t for them, none of it was possible. This venue and the people are truly one of a kind and anyone would be lucky to have their wedding here!

You could get lost in all the amazingly-decorated rooms and there are countless backdrops for photos. Every staff member I encountered was extremely kind and I could tell they were working hard to make the day as smooth as possible. Highly recommend!

Katherine and Rick Ratliff Boomer: The Van Dusen Mansion is absolutely stunning 😍 and was perfect for our fall wedding, the colors and mood were everything we could have asked for. From the over all castle feel of the grounds to the secret garden vibe of the courtyard, it was all absolutely beautiful. The Van Dusen Mansion's team was a great help throughout the planning process, with helpful emails, and super friendly staff that were always available to answer questions when they came up. If you are looking for an absolutely breathtaking venue with staff dedicated to helping make your day perfect this is the place for your wedding!

Emily Ferrazzo: from beginning to end.Luckily, the weather cooperated for our 10/21 wedding so we had the ceremony in the courtyard, allowing for a slow but procession through the grounds as the night progressed.Anything over our guest count would’ve been tight for the ceremony space AND dining hall, so keep that in mind. We chose to add two hours in the morning for $200/hour, very much worth it and the perfect amount of time for a 10-person wedding party

Alexa Assis: The Van Dusen Mansion was the perfect venue for our small wedding. We only had about 70-75 people, which felt perfect here. The mansion is absolutely gorgeous as well. The staff was excellent to work with - on top of everything, coordinated, and friendly. I didn't have to worry about a thing. We also lucked out with a perfect weather day so we could have our ceremony in the courtyard. Highly recommend!
