Foss Swim School - St. Paul: what do users think?

Joel Abrahamson: Group lessons organized by age and ability, including adults. You can also get private lessons or semi-private, meaning with one other student. However, the group classes are still small: 3 or 4 total students. We have seen a lot of progress swimming at Foss. The pool is warm!

ABDILADIF HASSAN: Was so great , patient and supportive, she immediately realized my son’s anxiety level, calmed him and the rest went so smoothly. I could have given her and the entire team a star. Great first time experience it was.

Megan Hoye: My child, and children of three friends, all have had great success and great teachers at different Foss locations. Very pleased and will be continuing lessons here for a few more years!

daniele Vernetti: We love Foss. My son is so excited every week for class. He feels so proud of himself and his learning. Instructors are great. I feel he’s actually learning how to swim and be comfortable in the water. Wish I had enrolled him sooner. Highly recommend.

Juan Miguel: Is a really good place to learning swimming the teacher is so nice with my kids thanks. Foss

Ashley Norris: Would 10/10 recommend Foss Swim School! They have their system down to a science. The teachers are amazing and they keep the water warm for the kiddos which is a game changer. Definitely worth the money!

Elise Bosman: They were wonderful with our two girls. We will definitely be using them again. The open schedule is great too!

Randy Bey: Great place for kids to learn swimming

Ann Deely: Brent is a fantastic coach!! First time we’ve seen this type of exponential growth in our child’s swimming.

Shanice Sullivan: Foss exceeded my expectations when it came to Michaelas first swim lessons ! Julie at the St. Paul location was extremely patient with Michaela and she made so much progress in her 2week summer session. I was nervous about how she would react to the lessons but everyday she was so excited to get back in the water. I would HIGHLY recommend.

Jacob Young-Haug: Expensive, but effective. Son likes classes and is doing better each time.

Goldfish Swim School - Oakdale: what do users think?

Jennifer Kemling: Three of my kids started at goldfish about a year ago and have improved significantly. The instructors are consistently good, and it is fun to watch the kids advance at their own pace. Kalia in particular is wonderful, and my boys have so much fun with her.

Sao: My daughter has been at this location for over half a year and through several instructors. By far, the best instructor is ISA. He is patient, supportive, and always full of positive energy. My daughter cried when she advanced to the next level knowing he will no longer be her instructor.

Shelby Ablan: Absolutely love this swim school and our swim instructor.

Stephanie Swanson: Anthony is a great swim instructor for my 4 year old. We've had 5 lessons and my son is getting more confident each time. I especially appreciate that at the end of the lesson he has each student choose a skill to show off to their parent.

Carli Smith: I have been a part of the goldfish system with my two children for 4 years now and I will recommend them to everyone I see!

Chris Brueske: Отличное место для занятий плаванием. Бассейн чистый, преподаватели отличные.

Ben Aeling: Отличные учителя!

Johnny Yang:

AMI Swim School: what do users think?

Barbara Riley: I am seriously SO pleased with AMI. We’ve put our kids through several programs - from Foss to the local community pool.AMI is by far the best program. Love the small classes, the great pool environment and the instructors.Absolutely recommend! Worth taking a slightly inconveniently timed session just to get your foot in the door. Your child will excel at lightning speed.

Pastor Jerod Freeberg: We have tried so many swim schools with our now 5yo. AMI is by far the best, the instructors are so kind and engaging. The pools are nice and warm for the kiddos and we are so happy with the results!

Joseph Heinen: Perfect lessons, couldn't ask for more! 🤘

Bryan Bohlman: Great instructors and program. Couldn't recommend it enough

Stuart Hansen: We love AMI and have seen our child's skill and confidence in the water improve tremendously! Register as soon as registration opens because this school is popular. Even if your first series isn't at the most convenient time, work through it for a series because you'll get a better session for your schedule after being a recurring student. Very happy with our experience here!

Cecilia Martinez: My kids love the classes

Naomi Stenson: We absolutely adore AMI! We are so grateful for finding such a wonderful program for our daughters swim lessons.

Meghann Schmidt: Jon is a fantastic swimming instructor. He is extremely knowledgable and has a friendly, natural rapport with his students. His teaching is really impressive; I have watched my daughter grow as a swimmer remarkably in three months time.

M Simmons: We are so happy to have found AMI and Mr. Jon. He has a great way with kids and our son has thrived here. The pool is a great warm temp and since there is only one small class at a time, no chaos. We've been so happy with these swimming lessons.

Jill Hansen: Highly recommend! Mr. Jon is great with kiddos, his teaching style is fun and effective. Our daughters excitment about swimming and being around water has never been higher.

Alli MP: kids up for swimming lessons was that they would be challenged enough while still learning to swim well and have fun. Jon is a great instructor and I'm very happy with AMI swim school! Class sizes are small enough that each child gets individual attention and plenty of swim time

Claudia Alderman: If you are looking for an excellent swim instructor in the perfect setting for learning, then look no further. Jon is the best and the location is phenomenal!

Foss Swim School - Chanhassen: what do users think?

Page Lais: We have been using Foss for many years with both of our kids. Their helpful staff is encouraging, great teaching techniques and the pools are perfect temperatures for our littles.

Gwen Patterson: I was an observer to my 3yr old grand's class. From that half hour I saw that the classes were many and simultaneous, teachers were all hands on, attentive, patient and creative. Everyone got equal direct time. Equipment was utilized to facilitate the learning. The facility was spacious, very clean with ample seating for parents to observe. I was impressed.

Bsully0024: Absolutely love this place! My son always has a blast swimming here!!

Rajeswari Penmetsa: My kid is going to Foss. Instructor is kids friendly, making them have trust to get into water and make them feel safe. Easy interactions. Kid loves coming for swim now and no fear at all to swim. Thankful to the instructor and the Foss swim school.

J T: Yer impressed with the program, staff and facility. The progress in the swimming ability of our granddaughters is amazing. They love to go to lessons. Worth every penny.

Umesh Sharma: Foss swimming lessons are really good.

Mitchell Haugerud: always a great team helping kids succeed. Our kids love it at the Chan location

A A: Very good experience from Foss swim school Chanhassen. Very friendly staff . The instructor was super friendly with kids and made sure kids had a happy experience from swimming. My toddler loved the swim school.

Foss Swim School - Richfield: what do users think?

Jennifer Wilson: Very organized, lessons seem pretty consistent across the different instructors.

marcho man: It’s always the best place for the swim classes

V Diesel: Love it! Love this place for all they do for their associate members. Great family place to learn how to swim!

Diver VanAvery: Foss has got it down! It’s a well oiled swimming business that is so professional and fun. My kiddo loved her instructor. It’s worth the cost.

Merary Palacios: They truly are a Great Swimming School, providing quality and hygiene service for our children. Thank you so much for everything you have done for your daughter. 😊 ♥️

Michael Dendinger: Great, welcoming staff! We have only done one class, but the instructors we have had have been great!

Andre: The enrollment system improved. Great coaching for kids over 4. Not recommending kids under 4 - waste of money.

Chuan Hang: This school is very good I recommend it.

Liz R V: Our instructor was wonderful and genuinely friendly.

Eli Johnson: Brought our 1 year old and have gone through the first class. Facilities are well designed and well kept. Our teacher was fantastic, lots of singing and high energy fun. Our swimmer got so much more comfortable in the water, we will definitely be continuing lessons here!

Dr. Alicia Granholm: made this summer with water comfort and learning how to swim!! Can’t recommend Foss enough!

Zach & Christine Swan: We absolutely love foss and adore every staff member there. We have had my son in lessons since he was 6 months and we switched to foss when he was almost one because it was so much cleaner, brighter and fun. We have another son now and even with the two kid discount we are sad to say this is the first quarter we will not be enrolling and I am heartbroken as my son loves it but with the price increase there is no way to even afford one child. We have used our referral code and refereed families which helps but for over 800 bucks for two children to swim in insane. We are devastated and will miss foss so much but over 400 dollars for one child is unreal if you divide the classes it divides to a dollar a minute. We will miss everyone! But can’t recommend them enough

Jamie M. Kocourek: My 4 year old had a great experience and gained so much confidence in the water! His coach Lawli made him very comfortable and was lots of fun. We are signed up for the next quarter. The facility is brand new and very clean. They have a nice play area out front too where my 1.5 year old can play during her brother’s lesson.

Carlus Dingfelder: As a matter of "you get what you pay for", Foss Swim School has been with every penny for our kids. They have had a variety of teachers, but each and every one has been committed to the lesson plan and we have seen consistent progression. Regardless of whether there is a small hurdle here or there, our kids have been supported by the instructors and they have gotten over it. There is always an underlying commitment to safety with the staff, but they have also continually provided a fun environment for our kids to enjoy themselves and advance their swimming skills.

Brandon Shook: We are in our 2nd year with our 23 month old. Have had a great experience with teacher Hunter during this session. Great way to safely let the kids experience water as they learn skills.

Anne Tower: We love Foss Richfield! Altho the most expensive swim school in the area, we have had such amazing experiences with the tiny class sizes and the teachers being so so good at their jobs. It is worth every cent and more! We keep coming back and our daughters swimming skills at 4 years old has exceeded all expectations!

YWCA Minneapolis - Uptown: what do users think?

Kelsey Schwartz: Super clean and nice staff.

Christine: I am heartbroken that you’re leaving this space, and even more so about the bro-bar that is certain to move in after a costly, and wasteful rebuild. I love the mission, but am a tad bitter about the loss of this asset in our community. I hope the numerous employees you laid off are going to land on their feet.

Bridget Ryan: I started at the downtown Y 35-40 years ago and happily moved to the Uptown pool. Lovely locker room and just a great lap swim experience for decades. Midtown is adequate but just that. I signed on for fitness and well-being, and I still want that. Will the Y close Midtown in the next few years once they establish their social service programs? Hard to know. Had a good tour at Midtown’s pool today in advance of the November 1 change. Will have to give it a try. Adequate will have to be good enough for now!

D: tried this location out because of the reviews saying it wasn't too busy. Can confirm. Happy to be a member here

Peter Schulze: Great staff and group fitness classes

Nancy Harms: Some great yoga classes!

Mikayla Hagen: A great place to turn off your brain for an hour and get a fantastic workout in. All of the coaches and staff are energetic and super helpful.

Kai Peterson: Just went for the first time after moving from Los Campeones. Definitely has pretty much anything you’d need at a fitness club and seems reasonably clean

Danielle Greving: Reasonably priced, never busy, and plenty of classes to choose from. Only downside is you have to pay for parking.

Emily T: I am so so thankful for the way that I feel like so many of the teachers care about the progress of my kids! I I'm so thankful that when there was a hiccup with our registration they fixed it and helped us make it all work with both of our kids! I am particularly appreciative of the manager Caitlin and the swim instructor, Brianna, who both have helped my daughter with anxiety in the water feel more comfortable and excited about going to swim lessons! I highly recommend!

Susan Olatayo: Foss Swim School is the best. My children have been attending swimming lessons there for the past few years and they always love to go to class. The environment is pleasant and welcoming. The water is warm and clean. They take children’s safety seriously. Their teachers are professionals and wonderful. I will definitely recommend Foss Swim School to anyone interested.

Ridgedale YMCA: what do users think?

John Doe: I do like this place for many reasons!! However, I do find this place very frustrating as there are under 40 year olds who sit on machines while on their phones for 30 minutes at a time while I am trying to use the equipment. Other than that, this is a good place to come workout

TNK: Excellent people and facility ..

Adam Bender: . My only complaint is that the $120 / month for 2 people is a little higher than I'd like. But compared to Lifetime which is well over that price wise, the YMCA is a reasonable price.

James Dang: Great place to workout. Variety of machines both cardio and weight lifting. Spacious environment with lots of natural lighting. Clean lockers rooms and facility.

David Krick: Good experience, I don't like bullies on this template- what I mean is negative comments.

Pranit Gaikwad: A Fantastic Fitness Oasis at Ridgedale YMCA!I can't say enough about the wonderful experience I had at Ridgedale YMCA! From the moment I stepped through the doors, I knew this place was special. Situated at 12301 Ridgedale Dr, Minnetonka, MN, the facility offers a fitness oasis that caters to all your health and wellness needs. The swimming pool at Ridgedale YMCA is nothing short of impressive. Whether you're a seasoned swimmer or just want to splash around, the pool provides a refreshing and clean environment. The lifeguards are attentive, ensuring safety for all, which I found very reassuring. The fitness center boasts state-of-the-art equipment that caters to every fitness enthusiast's dreams. There's an abundance of machines and weights, so you'll never have to wait for your turn. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to assist and guide you in achieving your fitness goals. Only negative point here I guess is you can't drop weight, Not that I do or want to but I know a lot of people working heavy weights and working specific exercises, they have to drop the weights. One of my favorite features is the indoor walking track. It's a perfect way to warm up or cool down, offering a pleasant space to enjoy a leisurely walk while admiring the beautiful surroundings. The gymnasium here is fantastic! It caters to various sports and activities, making it ideal for both solo workouts and team games. The energy on the court is infectious, and it's easy to get caught up in the fun.Last but not least, the sauna at Ridgedale YMCA is pure bliss! After an intense workout, unwinding in the soothing warmth of the sauna was incredibly rejuvenating.Overall, Ridgedale YMCA stands out for its top-notch facilities, cleanliness, and attentive staff. Whether you're a fitness enthusiast or just starting your wellness journey, this place has something for everyone. It has become my go-to spot for staying active and relaxed. I highly recommend Ridgedale YMCA to anyone in Minnetonka or beyond – you won't be disappointed!

Virginia B. Garrett-Cannon: . I’m very short and can’t reach to adjust cable machines, and I can’t lift heavy weights off of barbells that others have left on them. Sometimes, other patrons would help me. Sometimes, I had to skip parts of my workout that my YMCA trainer planned for me, so I could remain consistent while traveling. All in all, go here. And, purchase yourself the national plan, so you can remain consistent with your exercise plan while traveling. If you can afford it, invest into the personal trainer package to help you learn how to exercise properly.

Rick Francis: I have been going here for 38 years. Great programs, wonderfully friendly people., excellent equipment and very clean facilities.

Alina Lalta: Very clean and equipment is very up to date. Probably the nicest Y I’ve been too! I love getting in a workout here when I’m back in MN! I wish all Ys were like this one.

Jace Kranau: Visited this Y as I stopped through for a trip. One of the more updated and modern Y’s I have been to. Treadmills were first class and rather new. Plenty of machines and squat racks.Staff was friendly and helpful.

Zena 612: My son plays basketball and football at the Y. We went through a few coaches that weren't as involved as we'd like, especially with 7-9 year olds. Thankfully we found coach Mauricio! He has been incredibly amazing and dedicated to his team. I absolutely love how he gives each child the individual attention they need, helping them learn the fundamentals and strengthen their skills. He has really impacted my son in so many positive ways! Thank you coach Mauricio!

Cad Lac: Nice Facilities & staffs are very helpful.

Karen Boole: This week the Ridgedale Y cleared all ice from their parking lot, making it safe to walk. Thank you!

Brian Simpson: I love the YMCA, great for the whole family!

Judith Eaton: Great place the YMCA! I love youth sports

YWCA Minneapolis - Downtown: what do users think?

trent lawrence: I recently visited this YMCA location, and I must say, it's one of the cleanest and most well-maintained facilities I've ever experienced. The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating, making the process of obtaining my 3-day pass a breeze. Once inside, I was impressed by the extensive selection of free weights and machines, as well as the spacious layout that allowed for a comfortable workout environment. This YMCA truly exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch fitness facility.

M Smith: Love this place! Plenty of exercise equipment in good repair. Great, quiet pool with lap swim never crowded. Very clean throughout. Safe locker rooms with built-in locks. Never crowded.

Garim Lee: , spacious vanity spaces, and individual spaces to change clothes.I did not register for the membership just in case, because I wanted to have some experiences before I actually join as a member. I think I am going to join, as I look forward to visiting this gym more frequently.

Esther Osayande: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityAbsolutly love this YWCA. My only regret is that I didnt join earlier!

Mary Anne Falker: Thomas in membership is kind and concerned about your membership. He follows up on his email. The facility is clean and close to pristine. I have no fear of Covid there because their protocol is in place. It is as well maintained as a hospital and I work in a hospital. Everything is up to standard for infection control. And yet they make you feel accepted and welcome when you walk in the door. They don't put on airs, they are kind and generous. Thank you ☺️💖

Jacqueline Thompson: Clean and accessible. Nice club.

360 Guide: awesome healing experience

Anamaria La Fontaine: I joined this gym about 3 months ago and have had a very positive experience. All of the staff members are very friendly, it isn't too busy, and the instructors for the classes really get to know you and your needs. I am one of those people that prefers cardio machines and classes over free weights and it fits my needs for both. I don't think I've ever had to wait for a cardio machine.

Foss Swim School - Blaine: what do users think?

Brianna Haertl: My son has been loving Foss. The teachers are absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately the rates just keep going up & as a single mom I can no longer afford to bring my child here. Wish it was easier on the pocket

Anna Christopherson: We’ve had a very positive experience taking our children to Foss. The classes sizes are small, so that each child can get specialized instruction along the way. The facility itself is wonderful — lots of space for families to change, and plenty of accommodations for little ones. The instructors were fantastic at working with the children, and prepared to deal with any obstacles or fears that the kids may have when in the water. Not the cheapest swim school, but it’s absolutely high quality and worth every dollar to ensure your children have such an essential life skill mastered!

jennifer johnston: Great facility overall. We have really been frustrated with the inconsistent staff for kids to get comfortable with and have struggled with the evaluations feeling like they just want to keep kids repeating levels as a business plan, however this session we had Simeon work one on one with our youngest daughter who had trouble separating from us to join class. He was absolutely amazing getting her comfortable and pushing her to let go of mom and have fun. We were literally about to pull her from class and he consistently took her one on one and got her comfortable with not only letting go of us but with her class and now she loves it. Thank you Simeon you saved us from looking elsewhere for swim lessons and your kind way of encouraging kids is very appreciated!

Nick Reuland: We and our son love it!

G Vwj: This place is clean and filled with friendly swim instructors. My kiddo used to be terrified of the water. Now he loves swimming and can even jump into the pool's deep end. We love Foss!

MN 123: feedback.

Mel Melendrez: My daughter has loved swimming at Foss she's been swimming at the Blaine location since she was 8 mos old. She's now 7. The teachers have always been so sweet to the kids and good at reinforcing good technique. My daughter now loves the water. Depending on the class scheduling can get challenging and they fill up really fast. I usually log in and register the hour registration opens to make sure we get the schedule we want. Clean facilities, lots of changing rooms, shall waiting area with toys and a small table and TV for kids that arrive early, very colorful - my daughter likes that. Overall I've been pleased with Foss.

Alex Millerbernd: Excellent teachers, small class sizes, great results. Foss is first class all around.

Nicole Allen: FOSS has done wonders for my daughter’s confidence, in and out of the water.

Maslah Hassab: Excellent place to work out

Kandy Heiman: Staff very helpful & supportive.

Adam Morgan: , It still has a ton to offer. It's got free weights, cardio equipment, class offerings, a spa, and nice locker rooms. I'm able to get a well rounded workout here and have felt very welcomed ever since joining. Plus, I don't hear much grunting from guys doing lifts. So, 5 stars from me!

Mary Claire: Love it here! The best place to work at and the children are amazing.

LVMilanika: who will make whole experience unforgettable for your kid and will find a way to each and everyone. We see progress in swimming and my daughter cannot wait for class each week.

Teresa Mckenzie: My son has been going there for a few years, he loves it! Instructors are great, pool is warm and he has really progressed in swimming. We feel much more comfortable with him in the water now.

Erik Solberg: Very accommodating on schedule changes and teachers are pleasant and engaging. Fees reasonable.

Gloria Atika: We've been students at Atlantis for about 18 months now. My kids love their instructors and they have made great progress with their swimming knowledge. I love the attention to detail with their swimming mechanics. We'll be Atlantis members for a long time.

Kelsey Nimmer: We love Atlantis Swim School. Our boys have bee working with Coach Sasha and recently Cosch Mary. Both instructors are very knowledgeable and kind. Our boys have learned great swimming skills and ask to go back weekly!

Kayla L: We love Atlantis! Every single instructor is great and the front desk team is so helpful!

Rochelle O: One of the best swim schools we have been to. Highly recommended.

Leah Gefroh: Great family-owned swim school. Personal attention to every customer, unlimited makeup policy, and good pricing. Our son is always happy after each class. We may recommend this place from the best side and wish them to grow up. Select Atlantis!

Andrea Richter: Really appreciated the cheerful atmosphere and flexibility with scheduling, also the instructors are firm but tender which was just what our autistic son needed.

Jess F: Atlanta Swim Academy has an AMAZING program and AWESOME instructors like Tory and Theo.

A Ch: kids have been going here a while. Great instructors very caring. the kids seem to be learning at their own pace and have made some good friends there as well.

Sarah Moen: Great place for private lessons, especially if you are looking for a fast way to get your child comfortable with the water. The teachers are very patient and know what they are doing!

mtvibez: Great place with good instructors that mix in fun and games into a fun lesson program that actually works. Highly recommend the place for all families that want to teach their kids swimming

Suzanne Gerjets: Special Needs Parents need to check them out !! We have been so impressed with the services at Atlantis. We did private lessons for a couple years at another local swim school prior to COVID closures. They were so set on their "curriculum" that our child would either refuse to participate with his oppositional defiant disorder, or he would just go through the motions and not internalize much. He has made such amazing progress already in the few weeks he has been with Mary at Atlantis. Her flexibility, compassion, and attention to his needs has been outstanding and we are so happy that we changed locations!! He actually looks forward to swimming lessons now, and it is not a fight to get him out of the house to go!

Aleksandr Chernin: Great swimming school! Instructors and front desk staff are very professional and nice, and the program is kids-friendly. Has individual shower rooms - very convenient!

Michael Johnson: Great pool and staff they beat Minneapolis hands down with their pools

Vada Schildman: I think this pool is very great. No wait at all. There is a Olympic sized pool, slides and areas for toddlers or babies to swim. Not a lot of seating especially when it’s hot out. Going up the very tall slide, sometimes there are wasps. On the opposite side there is two diving boards, and two slides. The last time I was there they took out the diving boards. Rush hours are usually hot days, birthdays, and rarely class field trips. Would recommend.
