Jackie Baker: Caveat first: if you wear smaller than a size 7 women's, you probably will not find shoes here. You *might* get lucky in the clearance area, but generally do not expect to find anything in your size. I get it; it's a small shop and they have to buy what will sell to the most people, so I'm not going to fault them for it. That being said, I love this place otherwise. The clothing selection is surprisingly large and they sell many brands that are sustainable, which I appreciate. The clearance area is always fun to browse and you might snag a great deal.

Tmoney Swish: If you want running shoes, go to Manny at Fit First Running. I first went Manny in August 2023 and had no running experience. Now 9 months later I have bought 4 shoes from Manny and recently ran my first marathon.

Chandler Yorkhall: --she's had horrible shin splints for ~8 months. Manny took one look at her current shoes and explained in detail at least three ways that they were not helping, and what a shoe needed to do to actually help. He then using video and iPad technology to measure her gait wearing various other other shoes, and we settled on the shoe that line her joints up most efficiently. Never had a shoe store experience like this. Highly knowledgeable, very friendly, and focused on serving the customer. Highly recommend this business.

Kent Elliott Allen: I’m 68, and I’ve been running since high school. Over the last year I finally had to stop running because of persistent foot injuries. I met with a sports physician and it helped but I kept getting injured. A friend recommended that I go to Fleet Feet. I got a personal fitting there, and was fitted with shoes that match my narrow, overpronating feet. Now I have run twice with no injuries. I can run again, at least a few miles at a very modest pace. I’ll slowly work up my mileage and hopefully run a few 10K races this summer. Thanks, Fleet Feet!

Bunker: Great store for kids shoes! We pop-in whenever we need tennis shoes, hiking boots, etc for the kids and they always have good stock and pricing👌

I can call them, tell them what I'm looking for and they will pull together a few options just for me? This is the last locally owned shoe store in Minneapolis serving West Broadway Ave since 1889!
Matt Klava: who was working even gave me a discount on one of the pairs of shoes I wanted because of a slight discoloration on one of the shoes. I definitely plan on returning to Friedman's for all me footwear needs in the future
