Jackie Baker: Caveat first: if you wear smaller than a size 7 women's, you probably will not find shoes here. You *might* get lucky in the clearance area, but generally do not expect to find anything in your size. I get it; it's a small shop and they have to buy what will sell to the most people, so I'm not going to fault them for it. That being said, I love this place otherwise. The clothing selection is surprisingly large and they sell many brands that are sustainable, which I appreciate. The clearance area is always fun to browse and you might snag a great deal.

Glenn Reed (glenno6767): I was there looking for work shoes. They had a large section for men's shoes, especially for larger sizes, up to 14. Not much in the way of functional work shoes. Mostly just dress and casual shoes. They did have one pair of Dr. Martens boots in a size 14. They were a bit more than I was planning to spend but they were on sale so I got a good deal and I know they're going to last.

Kent Elliott Allen: I’m 68, and I’ve been running since high school. Over the last year I finally had to stop running because of persistent foot injuries. I met with a sports physician and it helped but I kept getting injured. A friend recommended that I go to Fleet Feet. I got a personal fitting there, and was fitted with shoes that match my narrow, overpronating feet. Now I have run twice with no injuries. I can run again, at least a few miles at a very modest pace. I’ll slowly work up my mileage and hopefully run a few 10K races this summer. Thanks, Fleet Feet!

Kathleen Fetterly: So sad to see this iconic shop becoming a former gem of the Lake Street scene. I had a wonderful, grounding visit with truly wonderful people today. It’s not just the internet, it’s the overall retail distribution of boots and jeans. While a shop owner may create a certain demand, it is the corporations offering items themselves and outsourcing products that is alienating both the buyer and the shopkeepers who make sure customers are satisfied. I am grateful for the storied past of this wonderful shop.
Linda Atlas: They are my go to store for cowboy boots and everything Western. Their sales people are very knowledgeable regarding the products they sell. I grieve because they are going out of business. I wish them well in their next endeavor.
Liz Becker: It was the place to go for not only me, but my father to go to get riding boots and needed gear. 115 yrs in business from when Lake street was nothing but horse and cart. Really sad to see them go as they knew their leather and quality materials. Took the time to fit both rider and would come out and fit your horse for a saddle. I said something about it and he told me not to complain about a free service. This location is how a store should be ran everyone in the store was very nice and helpful. Todd Johnson: I’ve been a customer for over 25 years, for a good reason. I walked into the Galleria store with a pair of boat shoes from a purchase looking for replacement leather laces. The sales rep told me those weren’t in the store but would gladly take them in for re-crafting and ship them to my home. They just arrived and look almost brand new, at zero cost to me. Admire their customer service as much as their products.

Joanna Gilbert: If you know what brands your hunting for and which ones to avoid you can have success here. I always come with a coupon. Many of their shoes are cheap and bad, but you can find some good ones too. Their website has many more choices and you can ship them for free and return the ones that didn't work to the store which is super convenient. That said, they need to streamline the return process. It took long and the cashier needed to seek approval everytime they did a return .

Christina Newby Fiebich: I've been suffering from severe pain in my right foot caused by plantar fasciitis. Physical therapy and sleeping in a flex boot are helping but not bringing me enough relief. My physician said both he and his wife had significant foot pain relief after purchasing shoes from Schuler. The staff seemed quite knowledgeable, asked intelligent questions, and got me into both a flat leather dress shoe I can wear with slacks and a pair of everyday Hokas. Several family members have wide feet or size 13s or 14s.
