I went to Dr. Hennen for the first time recently after I noticed vision changes and found I needed cataract surgery on both eyes. She has done this surgery and I couldn’t be happier by her very excellent, competent care. Even though I wasn't a previous patient of Dr. Hennen's, they referred me to her and she came into her office to see me hours before her normal working hours the next morning. Very professional, excellent at telling me what was going on and what to expect going forward. Even answered a couple of follow-up e-mail questions I had on the same day. Just great all the way around.

B Davis: I had a fine experience here. Dr. Lee not only addressed my double vision with a new eyeglass prescription, he ordered an MRI to make sure my unusual eyesight wasn't being caused by something more serious. I was relieved to learn that it wasn't something serious. It was a good experience.

Kristine Barker: Easy to find, public parking in parking garage easy to access and staff very friendly and knowledgeable. FYI: you do have to pay for parking and wait times can be longer then expected, but as far as the wait time they don't rush you and are very thorough.
Mira LaCous: The doctors at UofM Eye are extremely knowledgeable and ready to treat serious eye conditions, as well as help to maintain eyes that are in trouble. They have all been extremely caring and helpful, while listening to needs and concerns and educating on options. They are very busy, so do expect some long appointment times, as they are doing many surgery follow-ups and 'emergency' visits between general visits. Know that when you are seen, you will get the same caring attention.

Gary Hays: Dr. Schaefer and staff were punctual, pleasant and thorough, while providing guidance on current and future eye health issues. I scheduled a 7:30 AM appointment to limit the possibility of undue delay in being seen. A previous appointment was delayed by over 40’ with no explanation from the staff. Emergencies happen, but open communication is necessary so that a visit can be rescheduled if necessary. I’ve done business here for decades and only experienced this problem once. Though forgiven, it should not happen again.

Dr Williams began seeing patients during Covid-19 when other Clinics at WH wouldn't see patients even for blood pressure checks, stating well we are a "Well hospital ". Mary Williams: As a caregiver, I have the opportunity to visit many different doctors offices for different issues. It was nice to see how detail-oriented the staff and Doctor were at this clinic. They made sure that they had the correct information from us and then offered to make sure that they were sending their information out to the appropriate clinics. The new doctor went through all aspects of the many issues contributing to the problem. He took the time to talk it over with us and make sure that he had it all correct in the chart so that he could compose a good game plan. It's a rare thing to see a specialist delve into the broader picture instead of focusing only on their specialty. Very refreshing and impressive. I am exceedingly grateful to this clinic for taking such good care of my aunt.

My right eye, corrected for distance now needed some correction. The last eye doctor I saw shot down the idea of me having just one contact. Dr. Sheffer however was completely open to the idea. I couldn't be happier about that, bye-bye glasses!
