Volstead's Emporium: what do users think?

Ben: . It ruined the evening, because the four of us couldn't hear one another talk at all. I like good music, but I didn't come to Volstead's for a concert. We ended up drinking less, leaving early, and failing to enjoy ourselves as much as we planned.

Volstead House -- Whiskey Bar and Speakeasy Eagan: what do users think?

Shalon Johnson: Absolutely loved this place! Came here yesterday; and it has a really cool vibe. The bar is in the back of a restaurant and the overall vibe is very chill and upscale. Their alcohol list is insane! There’s over 100s of options and choices to choose from. I ordered a whiskey sour with parm fries and my experience was absolutely amazing. I would absolutely return! Also, the bartender working was absolutely amazing!! The drinks he made were delicious.

Susan Bloch: Taylor was our server tonight and she gave top-notch service. She was very knowledgeable about items on the menu, and whatever she couldn’t answer, she had another bartender come over to us right away to explain some of the questions that we had.Overall, 10 out of 10Can’t wait to go back

Prohibition Bar: what do users think?

Lynn Martin: We went early, around 7pm, on a Friday for a cocktail. Loved the atmosphere, the view and attentive, friendly service. The drinks were beautiful and tasted fantastic. It was a great place to sit and chat. I can understand how going early is key to finding a place to sit and enjoy the view. Seating is limited. We did not eat there so I can't comment on the food.

The Mudd Room: what do users think?

J D: Quiet, dark and delicious. Cocktails were outstanding.

Ceferino Montes: Great drinks, food, and speakeasy ambiance. Service was excellent, although a bit slow to start, maybe just short staffed that night. Live music was great, I enjoyed all of it overall. See ya soon!

Kristina Kallio: I love that I discovered this place. I have been going to Lucky's for years and did not realize this existed. I came around the holiday period and they offer fun festive holiday drinks. By the time we arrived, they were no longer selling small bites. The entertainment for the night was a live band. I enjoyed a few songs and then ended up night upstairs at lucky 13.

Mike Hurt: of Lucky restaurant. They had a phone you can pick up to hear a prerecorded message. Pretty neat. Then you walk down the dimly lit stairs into a very intimate space with stone walls and nice seating.

Kaitlin T: Really fun place to stumble upon for drinks one night. There was a beautiful jazz singer that night. Definitely worth a stop!Parking: Not a lot of spaces. Shares with Lucky 13Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly

Wendy Roberts: Went for writers round. Excellent music. Drinks were expensive but neat venue with a unique atmosphere

Mitch Edison: Such an interesting vibe! Incredibly knowledgeable waiter and drinks are fantastic!

christopher miletich: This place is a blast. Great drinks. Good prices

Chris Gapinski: Great happy hour spot. Great food and drinks

Ashley Hosea: My wife and I have been here over ten times. We have loved this place since my cousin. Brought me here and I could not stop raving about. I'm sad to see it go.

Edgar A. Cabrera: Cool atmosphere

David Quinn: Best happy hour in Minneapolis

Christina Billman: Their hamburgers and pop tarts are to die for!

Paul Marino: The drinks and burgers are incredible!

Ray Seville: Pick the right night with the right dj

Kaleb Blodgett: pickles. The milky melted cheese drizzled through my taste buds making me constantly want more. The bun was basic, but didn’t impact the overall quality of the burger. The burger was a bit more greasy than most, but not overwhelming.

Anton Thomas: Super dope chill spot

James Khuong: Food, drinks, atmosphere of a haunted house, what more could you want? The menu had a good spread of food and apps, we got the cheese plate and although the cheese was good, the crackers were honestly so good we asked for another serving. They make any cocktails you want, but their Lumbersexual was a good citrusy take on the Cosmo, and definitely worth a try.A decent amount of seating for the space, and the atmosphere is super dark and moody and really gives a spooky, haunted, vampire's basement vibe.Definitely worth a visit!Oh and bathrooms were clean. 👍

Cobble Social House: what do users think?

Joe C: Little hidden gem for classic cocktails. Been around several years, so definitely proven by this point. It doesn’t seem to be in the mainstream speakeasy conversation, but I can confidently say these are the most knowledgeable bartenders in the Twin Cities regarding classic Mixology. On top of that, as a true test, they have the best Sazerac in town.Want to know cocktail history? Come and chat with these guys…CJ and any of the staff.

Omar Dean: Sushi Chef Baaska has redefined sushi in Minneapolis & reupholstered Cobble to a whole new level!Great service, sexy atmosphere, and hands down the BEST sushi in the twin cities. If you haven’t had the chance to come here yet, you’re truly missing out.

Angela Pearson: .The restaurant is small, with very few tables, highly recommend a reservation! Would be happy to go back!

Chloe L: Food was delicious & service was friendly! It was a busy day so they got one of our orders wrong and almost forgot about our last dish but overall great experience.Parking: We got lucky and found a spot right next to the building and didn’t have to pay for parking.

Katy Friends: Great staff, great drinks, cool art. Strong scent of seafood. Probably due to ventilation, nothing they can control. Obviously a fish place too, just strong.

Harris Kleyman: Chef Baaska and his team along with the staff at the restaurant put on an excellent experience that rivals some of the most famous sushi restaurants in the country. The fish itself is certainly the top tier of quality and freshness that you’ll find, they go above and beyond to import a beautiful selection. The menu is focused and has several options for a sushi eater. Reservations are recommended as space can be limited, and I’m sure it helps the restaurant to be planful. We should help them offer us this amazing sushi by being punctual and committed to our reservations when it comes to this level of quality and preparation. Go try Cobble and it’s safe to say you won’t regret it.

Stanley's Northeast Bar Room: what do users think?

Adrian Agresta: . The pretzels were hot, fresh, and tasty. The Reuben was solid but lacked "tang". That being said, I'd probably have the Reuben again but not before trying some other sandwiches.

Chris Goggin: covered patio on summer days - watching all the dogs and dog parents. Or inside at a booth or hi top. Food is good, a nice selection for everyone. Full bar and long list of Beers. Good parking both on and off street.Today’s selection was brunch - which was very tasty, service was great, and lots of coffee refills.

Steve Swenson: Great place with an unexpected diverse menu. The Yum Yum bowl with steak and kimchi was amazing. Such creativity for what I thought would be a typical burger and beer place.

Brandon Isakson: Have always loved this NE staple. Love that they expanded their patio and that they're super dog friendly.

Sarah Marrinan-Realtor: Sat on the patio since it is dog friendly. Food was good but expensive.Atmosphere: 5/5 …

Quintin Kreth: Apothecary is a surprisingly great hotel bar. I was in downtown Minneapolis for several days and Apothecary had the best cocktails of any bar I visited. The bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable and the lounge was very comfortable. The prices were reasonable as well. Overall, this is a great place to have a drink.

Brenda Schmitz: Great atmosphere & friendly service.

Kim Orris: Such a fun little place in the lobby of the hotel! It was a nice place to have dinner after our long drive! The service was great! Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The food was spectacular!

Denise Randall: Food & service was great. But my extra dirty martini with extra olives was one of THE BEST I've ever had!

Tracey B: . Love the overall chill vibe. Quality late night snack choices were a nice bonus!

Nes Rotstein: Great service. Good selection of drinks

Vipasha Verma: Even better they have no touch menu with customization options. Some people

Kaitlyn Meyer: Good service, food was okay. The breakfast sandwich needs some sauce options. Great breakfast margarita though, I was impressed!

Eric Kurbat: The Bad Waitress is an interesting experience. They have taken their namesake to an interesting extreme: you don't order from a waitperson, you do it on a website. So it's kinda like the waitress is non-existent... At least until your food is ready. And then it's a lot of well-prepared, interesting spins on classic diner dishes in satisfying quantity. Will have to return to try more...

Gori Gori Peku - Japanese Whisky Bar: what do users think?

Alicia Renée: Warm intimate space with incredible and unique cocktails. I was excited to actually enjoy whiskey, and they did not disappoint. I've never had anything like these cocktails before. We tried the Sotoku, Nagano, and the Kado Old Fashioned. All of them were perfectly crafted and a pleasure to taste. I look forward to returning to try more of their amazing offerings!

Scott Reel: Whiskey was fantastic, and I didn't think it was overpriced, as many have claimed. It's the same at any other whiskey or scotch bar, and Gori even allows you to do half pours, which is very nice. Aside from straight whiskey, the Old Fashion was one of the best I've had, very unique and balanced. They do add an extra 20% charge, but they didn't even give us the option of tipping, so that's your tip. Environment is very small but wonderful. I would live there if I were rich.

Stephanie Lovell: Stopped by for two drinks after dining at Kado no Mise. The dimly lit bar has minimal decor but that matters little.I ordered the old fashioned to start which intriguingly has fig in it. First of all, the cocktail is beautiful. The ice stamp that is used gives it a signature feel. I truly enjoyed this drink. The second drink I had featured cognac which is not a liquor I often consume but I was intrigued by the koji. The ice stamp used in this cocktail was also beautiful.

William Boland: so it ends up feeling very intimate and low key. I don’t know enough about Japanese Whiskey or Sake but everything we drank was lovely.

B XM: So, so good! Small area, but dark and intimate.

Parlour: what do users think?

Shawn Miranda: I've had the burger 3 times and it has never been good, always over salted and over cooked. Their fried chicken sandwich however is very well made.Servers have been friendly and prompt every time. The ambience is great, the lights are dim, and it feels cozy. The music however is way too loud. At the bar, it registers on my Apple Watch at around 78-80dB.The cocktails are easily the highlight. I've had a few of the house cocktails and they've all been top tier. They also make the IBA classics extremely well. They're brave enough to offer to put an egg white in the whisky sour and it definitely pays off.

Abriana Allen: My friends and I visit Parlour regularly. We enjoy the vibes, the cocktails, the service, and of course THE BURGERS. Believe the hype. Simple yet delicious. The cocktails - you can of course order great drinks off the menu, but also, you can tell the bartender to surprise you! I enjoy the creativity. However, I’m writing a review for the service I received via phone yesterday. I recently purchased an online gift card for a friend and they unfortunately didn’t receive it. I called Parlour and they were incredibly kind and understanding. Within a few minutes, the manager called me back and they reissued the gift card in less than 30 minutes. I was prepared for follow-up phone calls and redirects to other contacts, but they made it quick and simple. It makes sense given the friendly service we’ve experienced when we dine-in. Thanks, Parlour team!

Alissa Elles: Parking in street or a very small parking lot with valet. Two flight of stairs down to get to restaurant basement level. Awesome mood lighting, very dim. Seating is limited. The isle from front of the restaurant to the back of the restaurant is very narrow and not comfortable to squeeze by everyone sitting at the bar. Service was okay, per seat yourself sign we did and waitresses was completely oblivious that we sat ourselves even though she walked past us three times. We got the burgers with fries and one of the most delicious burgers I've ever had. Very very spendy. Wouldn't say kid friendly or wheelchair accessible.

Mortimer's Bar and Restaurant: what do users think?

Pete Martin: ,

Tina Laberdie: Their food is always absolutely delicious. Although we had a small issue with an item, Chef Don reached out to us and genuinely offered assistance. That type of customer service and care is rare to find, today. It is very much appreciated. We have not been to the restaurant, but have only ordered through delivery services, but we definitely plan to visit in person, now.

Tattersall Distilling: what do users think?

Linda McLoon: It is interesting how often we forget the tried and true and rush to the new. The Tattersall distillery was forced by antiquated Minnesota liquor laws to move to Wisconsin if they wanted to increase production in their distillery. However, their tasting room in the Thorpe building in Northeast Minneapolis is still open. Instead of waiting hours at the "hot" new places, come on back to Tattersall. It was started in 2015, and has been going strong since then.We made reservations, but even on Saturday night we did not need them. We sat at the bar as usual, and the two bartenders were awesome. They were extremely knowledgeable about all the various spirits made by Tattersall, and we had little tastes of some of the new items as we ordered.I did a flight of their two new gins and their absinthe. I liked them a lot. One gin gets a two week aging in chardonnay barrels. This takes the hotness out of their original gin in a very nice way. It doesn't leave it oaky. Apparently it has won a number of awards in various competitions. The Rosso gin is new, and it is very good! Apparently they added rose petals and berries to their mix of botanicals. It is a very nice gin.We tried two cocktails. They change their cocktail menu every 3 months, so it is good to stop in and have a look. My husband had the Houndstooth, which is rye, amaro, meadowsweet, and black strap bitters. We saw a lot of them heading out to other customers. Their take on a classic gin-based negroni was really good. Their orange bitter liqueur, their amaro, and their sour cherry liqueurs gave it a cherry back note that was quite interesting. They only serve popcorn, pretzels, and beef jerky, but there was a pop up Asian restaurant in the Thorpe building if you wanted to get food. They also have a room where you can buy their spirits. Nice!At $12 and $13 for most drinks, it is also more affordable than the newer glitzy places. It was a super relaxing place for a cocktail. And I love not having to drive around in search of parking!

Ian Boje: Whatever you want to drink, Anna will make it happen. Awesome place.

Eric Schoenecker: Very impressed with the drinks, service, and staff. Some of the best bartenders I have come across. Their drinks are slightly on the pricy side. The parking lot also requires a bit of work. Overall great experience.Service: 5/5 …

Dana Cimbalnik: Great drinks!

Sockdollager: what do users think?

James M: Our bartender Ben was super friendly, knowledgeable and fun to watch make drinks. To my guesstimataion there are about 500 different bottles of liquor you can try and just sitting and staring at the bar was entertainment enough.I also had the chocolate cake which was so insanely good, I'll be dreaming about it for a long time

Brittany Misuraca: We visited to celebrate my birthday and Ben the bartender made our night! The atmosphere was fantastic, the drinks were fantastic, and Ben was fun to chat with and watch make cocktails. 10/10! We'll definitely be back!

Cory Zerwas: Stopped in for a cocktail, some beers, and some appetizers with some colleagues. The old fashioned I had ordered was well made and the food was delicious. We'll be back soon to explore the menu further.

Amber M.: Great atmosphere, friendly bartender, fun vibes, and not to mention the drink selection. One of the best bars in Chanhassen.

Jensine Stegenga: Food was delicious, atmosphere was lovely, service was kind and quick, and the drinks were perfect. We had the Penicillin and the Bees knees - yum ❤️❤️❤️

Psycho Suzi's Motor Lounge: what do users think?

Jay Shen: . And decorations were also in alignment with its tiki theme. The pizzas were pretty good as well! They were relatively smaller in portion but tasted good. I wouldn't consider food as a review priority for this place because it is mostly famous for its drinks and atmosphere, and both are nothing short of great!I will miss all the memories from this place as it has allowed me to socialize with others in relaxing manners on summer days.

K. Tsoutsoulis: This was a unique bar & foods tiki bar experience.A decent selection of cocktails, with mythologies for each drink, and exactly 1 NA cocktail, but it was a good one.As for food they were complimenting the drink, and not meant to be full meals. The tots, with special dip were pretty good, the sliders were tasty, and had flavour. If you came here in the summer, you had a wait for anything, which is just had to be accepted, the wait staff were always doing the best they could, and there were a lot of tables.Outside in the summer & fall was where it was at, even if you didn't get too much of a view of the river. The atmosphere was what it was all about.Sad to see this go, among unique, quirky, and fun places to go.

Dawn Hilgers: Wish they weren't selling the restaurant. But where can we buy the tiki decorations from Suzi's? When's the auction.Atmosphere: 5/5 …

Prim Ilagan: Psycho suzi is an okay Tiki Bar, by default since it’s one of the limited Tiki Bars in MN. It has a large nice patio along the river for warm nights. Inside the decor is 70s tiki with bamboo and palm top to bottom. The carpet is neat- printed wood planks. There’s a sizable drink menu but is not served in Tiki Mugs unless you decide to purchase the mug. We had pizza, it was okay- nothing special. Drinks are below average. Ambiance is fun but not much else going on there.

Kyra Lammers: The most amazing cocktail bar in Saint Paul! Beautiful architecture and decor. Can’t wait for this gem to open up again!

Ted Gautsch: If your looking for a classy establishment, this is the place for you. I can see this being a favorite stop for those old souls as well. I made reservations but upon arriving the host and hostess seemed a bit off when it came to getting me to my table. They did an excellent job of restoring this place, the music and decor makes for the perfect ambiance, it's ideal for a more intimate occasion or get together with friends. I loved the variety of seating arrangements and the bar itself is fantastic.I started with a glass of wine and the artisan cheese plate which was a perfect match. I went with the filet Mignon, potato puree and green beans with Bearnaise sauce on the side. The steak was cooked just as I requested and seasoned very well, the potato puree and green beans were prepared with full flavor as well. I ended my meal with the triple chocolate semifreddo and espresso which was an excellent end to my dinner.

Jennifer SBartolo (JSmiley): I love there Bacon Cheeseburger totally worth the drive up. Definitely come to do this again. Like the atmosphere here comfy and relaxing. Keyed Up Events: Wow! Like stepping into an elegant dream. I don't normally like lobster, but I could down those lobster deviled eggs all day! Be sure to order a Fitzgerald and plan on spending some time here just taking it all in.

Stephen Choukalas: I’ve made a terrible mistake. For the life of me I am not sure why this place was not on my radar sooner, but my wife suggested it for our anniversary dinner. After reviewing the menu and pics we gladly made the reservation.I am glad we did as everything from the food to the room to the great service exceeded our expectations. Well done! Please do start with a fine cocktail and the well curated cheese plate. Then it is off to the meat. Both of our steaks was perfectly done and delicious. Make haste to the Commodore!
