The Spanish Learning Club: what do users think?

Michael Dettling: The Spanish Learning Club is the best. I’ve taken on-line classes for the last couple of years and having taught English myself to non-native speakers, I know how difficult it can be, especially trying to learn on-line. But the teacher makes it easy and I highly recommend The Spanish Learning Club.

Justin Watts: Have been learning spanish with TSLC for about a year. Really fun and helpful atmosphere to learn with a group at any age. Giancarlo is a great teacher too, which helps a lot to have a positive atmosphere while learning. After working through lesson plans to understand the basics, the class continues to be helpful by practicing through conversations, presenting on small topics, vocabulary games as a group, etc. Pratice, practice, practice!

Ellen S: Hola! I started learning Spanish with The Spanish Learning Club as an absolute beginner. Desiring a different approach than the traditional textbook/language institute experience, I discovered The SLC. I have learned so much language and culture in two short years and have had a blast in the process. My teacher, Juany, is enthusiastic, fun, and dedicated to her students' learning. It is extra cool that she lives in Mexico! Zoom has its advantages!

Mallory Hughes: The Spanish Learning Club is such a great experience! They make it very easy to determine your experience level and are super flexible with classes. The learning materials are thorough, and the classes are very interactive and fun. Highly recommend!

Kathy Mitchell: I loved Spanish Learning Club and will absolutely rejoin when I have more time again. I took classes for a year and learned so much. Give them a try.

Michael Dougherty: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueLovely experience for my co workers and I. Our instructor Giancarlo was the best!

jeremy bue: Giancarlo was a great teacher! He made me feel comfortable learning Spanish. I havent taken an actual class for years and he set me at ease so i could focus on learning the essentials. He taught us in layers so we truly understood how we were buiding practical and expandable communication and conversation. I'm excited to practice and move on to the next level with The Spanish Learnign Club! Gracias!!

Jack Houser: Amazing Spanish classes! Love the more personalized, conversational approach to learning a new language!

Patrick Olson: I just finished a 10 week beginner course from The Spanish Learning Club and thought it was excellent! I really enjoyed the style of teaching and the way the material was presented. It made a lot of sense and I feel I learned a lot quicker than I did when taking spanish classes in high school. Giancarlo is a great teacher and really made the material fun and interesting. I'm excited to keep practicing and learning more Spanish!

TEJASVI MONDRETI: Learning a new language is always fun, but not so easy. One needs a good teacher to learn it the right way. Giancarlo offered me good learnings, that are very foundational. Tenses and conjugations were very easily understood and with some practice, was able to learn it. I highly recommend the Spanish Learning Club for professional and conversational skills.

Emma Hubler: Great Spanish classes!

Nkechi Gillman: First class went well! Looking forward to more classes and can’t wait to meet in the classroom.

Melissa Artwohl: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueThe Spanish Learning Club has been a great place to learn Spanish. Even during COVID-19 we have been able to meet online and continuing studying as if we were in the actual classroom. The class sizes are small and the pace of the classes is just right. If you’re considering study Spanish, this is a great place to do it!

Kim Wier: I started taking Spanish classes from The Spanish Learning Club almost one year ago. I am really happy with the progress I have made in speaking, writing and listening to Spanish. The Spanish Learning Club uses a solid combination of teaching vocabulary, grammar and also conversation. Two thumbs up!

I have learned a lot and have gained confidence through conversation and fun activities. A great place to learn spanish!

Rojas Spanish Language: what do users think?

Brandy Gatzlaff: My experience with Rojas Spanish Language has been amazing. My tutor, Jorge, was great. He really did a wonderful job at explaining pronunciation tips, structure and conversation. Within the first few weeks, I was more and more comfortable using the language and even felt great about writing in Spanish. I have seen huge leaps in my understanding and processing of the language. I have taken Spanish classes in the past and have not made the progress I have with Rojas Spanish. They teach you conversation and not memorizing words. Conjugating verbs has been easy to comprehend and remember. Can't wait to continue my journey. Thanks!

Julia Haponski: I signed up for the package that includes 50 hours of individual tutoring with unlimited group classes. My time at Rojas has been fantastic as I have been able to learn from several of the tutors on staff. Every tutor is trained extremely well to assist students in understanding Spanish at their level to instill confidence in their speaking-ability. They are extremely effective in their lessons and really cater to each student's way of learning. An example of a fantastic experience with Rojas: I originally joined Rojas to learn Spanish for my job, as I cover Mexico and South America territories and have some colleagues and customers who do not speak English. During a visit to Mexico, I was actually able to have lunch with a tutor and my Mexican colleagues. They were in awe of the way my tutor could communicate with me and teach not only the language, but the culture, which is such an important part of who they are.I would recommend this program to anyone looking to learn the language! Well done!

Sharon Diedrich: For me, advantage of learning with Rojas Spanish has been that I can now speak Spanish, thanks to the patient, knowledgeable, and most importantly, fun teachers who are all native Spanish speakers. I was in Argentina recently and I had bad fall. When help came and they did not speak English, I was able to understand all their questions and answer them in Spanish. It was a proud moment even though I was hurt. I am also able to understand a variety of accents with the teachers being from a variety of countries. It has been and continues to be a great experience.

Angela Ann: At Rojas Spanish, they really care about your success. I have taken both 1:1 private lessons and group lessons. The quality of the teachers are phenomenal! They enjoy teaching Spanish, they make it fun and teach about their culture, too. I just learned about Carnival in Brazil! I never knew about it before my lesson.

Patrick Corbett: I enjoy the in-person experience and it compliments, and builds upon, what I learned in high school.

Jennifer Baltaian: Such a fresh, new and exciting way to learn Spanish! Small classes allow for learning, individual attention and laughter. I would highly recommend Rojas Spanish classes to anyone interested in a stress free and fun learning environment.

Britt Rosenbrook: Luis and his entire staff of tutors and support administration went above and beyond any of my expectations in ensuring that my learning and experiencing a new language fulfilled its deepest potential.I'm sure many of us have experienced the "High School Experience" of learning a language where we only learn to memorize, conjugate, write in possessives, or be repetitive without being creative on a spontaneous level. If anyone is like me, I do NOT learn that way. I took 5 years of French during my academic years and I was and have never been conversational.Well, that is the complete opposite of what you will find with Luis!! He teaches you the flow, the dance, and the rhythm of the Spanish language. He pushes you how to learn outside your trained mind of what your previous education of language may have been. The magic is that he certainly has a course structure in mind, but he leans into where each class takes him, at each moment, to ensure that we are getting specifically what we need for ourselves as individuals and not just reciting some textbook. To be honest, I am terrible at studying in between classes, yet even without me doing that important work, I walked away from every class with a deeper imprint, knowledge, and understanding of the Spanish language and culture. Luis will push you without you even knowing you are being pushed, and then you come out the other side with an "AH HA!!" moment. He never asks for perfection, it is all about being understood within a language and being comfortable in the uncomfortable.

Peggy Sanchez: I love these classes! Luis is great at helping everyone to relax and enjoy the learning. He really strives to make everyone comfortable. I’m in live conversational classes and enjoy them more each week. I’ve wanted to learn Spanish for years and was gifted a course. Probably one of my favorite Christmas gifts ever.I highly recommend taking a course. It’s a different kind of fun. Online courses are also available.

Carol O: I highly recommend this program. I started with no experience at all in Spanish and am now comfortable using the language while traveling in Spanish speaking countries. Luis and the tutors make learning an enjoyable experience.

Adrienne Lindahl: I cannot say enough good things about Rojas and their tutors! I have been tutoring with them for over a year and I am continually impressed. Their tutors are professional, kind, encouraging and fun. Whether you are seeking to learn Spanish as a newbie or you wish to further your Spanish language skills, I highly recommend checking out Rojas!

Tori Lund: I’ve had an excellent experience working with Luis and all the other tutors at Rojas Spanish. I look forward to my lessons every week and my Spanish has drastically improved! They have been very flexible and understanding with my scheduling, and check in frequently to assess my needs. I would highly recommend lessons at Rojas to anyone!

Steve Schacht: I completed Starter 1 level with Rojas Spanish and I was really impressed with how they kept it interesting and so non-‘school like’. My life is taking a small left turn and I was not able to continue and I highly recommend their services if learning any level of Spanish language is in your future. They are flexible with timing and their classes are well suited for learning in the convenient venue of Zoom.

Tara Grover: Positive:QualityLuis has a style to his teaching that makes learning Spanish fun. He helps you to understand the language and makes you feel comfortable. I am excited to continue classes with him and his team.

Susan Schroeder: Positive:CommunicationLuis and his team are terrific teachers. I appreciate how the process of learning Spanish at Rojas puts an emphasis on being able to communicate with others over grammar and memorization. Rojas also honors individual learning styles and creates a comfortable, safe learning environment. Gracias Luis!

Christine Engstrom: The emphasis on learning to communicate in Spanish with native-speaker teachers in small groups is excellent and enjoyable. I highly recommend Rojas classes. You will learn and have fun doing so.

Christina Pearson: Louis is a great teacher and very flexible and understanding of busy schedules. Classes are fun and designed for adult learners. I would recommend Rojas to anyone looking to learnSpanish!

Keith Linné: is extremely effective. I always look forward to attending Spanish class, and come away with improved confidence in my abilities each week. If you're considering learning Spanish, I highly recommend Rojas Spanish Language.

International Spanish Language Academy: what do users think?

ShinySwirl: What a gel rest school

JC Cross: I’ll do my best to post an honest, informative review, as I have three children attending.ISLA is a Spanish-immersion charter school that has qualified as an International Baccalaureate World School. That means they follow the IB curriculum, which encourages students to think critically and learn through both a local and global context. The curriculum also promotes character development and social skills. Generally, IB schools have prepared students well for higher education.Jeremy Perrin serves as the principal. From my limited perspective, he does a good job caring for the students and staff while advocating for educational advancement.I personally prefer a Socratic style of teaching, which you won’t find as much here as in some private schools, but you also don’t pay anything for this education. However, I do think they could improve significantly in this aspect. More important than information dissemination is training a child to think critically, employ logic and reason, and challenge ideas not founded on those elements. In my copious amount of research, and now from personal experience, I have found the the school does very well at educating children to surpass government standards, while fostering important values. Equally important is their ability to do this without involving themselves in political persuasions of the day, which is always a temptation.

Georgette Gladney: Love the school and the staff !!!

caleb c: Great experience

Marcelo vega lemus: An incredible concept about education, suitable teachers, eager to create the best future for children, my biggest congratulations

O'Neill Language Academy: what do users think?

Madeline Winegar: Great opportunity for my daughter to start learning language skills early!

Samantha Dorau: I had the privilege of working with Theresa Gunderson at St. Stephen’s Catholic School when she was the PK-8 principal for two years. In her role, she had excellent leadership skills that helped me, as a new teacher, navigate the classroom and find the best classroom management strategies that worked for me. She came into my classroom and modeled ways to get the students responsive and engaged in our lessons. When working with Theresa during this time, I felt heard, respected, and encouraged to keep trying new things with my students. Overall, it was a positive and great experience working alongside Theresa Gunderson in a school environment.

Maria Murphy: My now five year old has been in Spanish at O'Neil language for about a year. He loves counting, saying his colors and singing songs in spanish. I would recommend O'Neil Language Academy.

Becca Hauglid: My 3.5 year old loves his Spanish classes with Ms. Kara! Every Monday when I ask how his day went, his predictable comment is “I learned Spanish today!” Grateful for the convenience of the program as well, since the teachers come to his preschool and we don’t have to drive him to another activity. Highly recommend!

Courtney B: The best! My 5yo daughter takes online Spanish classes with Senora Theresa - and she LOVES it! The curriculum is wonderful for any level beginners to budding speakers, and the class size is small, so all children can engage - my daughter can speak and sing and count in Spanish now. Senora Theresa does an incredible job at making the online lessons really fun, vibrant and engaging for all of the children. These have brought such joy to my daughter in an otherwise scary and chaotic year - and we hope that we will be able to continue well beyond the pandemic. Highly recommend!!!

Jane Mollenbeck: The Teach and Learn Spanish books by Theresa O. Gunderson, M.Ed. are highly organized. Each month has different activities to be covered. In the beginning of each book you will find a lesson plan with the activities, vocabulary, objectives, and supplies needed. Then the book explains each activity, how to do the activity, and lists the vocabulary that is to be learned. Included in each book is a CD that has tracks for each activity. Included in each book are songs, pictures of the vocabulary to be learned, and flash cards to go with the pictures. To even get more organized you need to get a curriculum box or plastic box. It is recommended to have separate hanging folders for the following themes: rules, numbers, colors, and alphabet. Then get 12 hanging folders for each month to put the book, laminated visuals, and flash cards in the back of the book in each folder. What I like about the curriculum is that everything is ready for you to teach. No need to hunt for activities, or visuals, songs, and flash cards, etc. Everything is ready for you as a parent or teacher. Little planning is needed. Study the activities, laminate the visuals, and flash cards and you are ready to teach.

Martha Josephson: My son took classes with Ms. Theresa at daycare for a couple of years and is now following along with her online classes when we are able. He absolutely adores her and he has learned so much. It's no exaggeration to say that the magical half hour on Tuesday afternoons was the highlight of his week. There were times when he wanted to stay home in the mornings until I reminded him what day it was. He would hop out of bed and say, "Spanish is on Tuesdays!" We are crossing our fingers that we can get back to in-person class again someday, but are so grateful for the online version in the meantime.

Mary Krasky: I have know Theresa since High School and she has always been interested in learning and teaching Spanish. I recently lost my job and saw Theresa had some beginning Spanish for adults so I thought I would try it out. Theresa is just as I remember, very sweet and even more knowledgeable about Spanish than ever. She is easy to follow and makes learning fun, I highly recommend her lessons.

Nastassia Dordevic: My daughter loves her Spanish class. She started at daycare and continues when we started sheltering in place. I love the content of the classes and the curriculum and my daughter asks when her Spanish class is daily. We love to see her grow and learn and engage. Senora Theresa is a great teacher and we are so thankful for a learning opportunity during this pandemic! Thanks for all you do!

Chelsea Anderson: We’ve been using Teach and Learn Spanish for about 4 years as part of our homeschooling curriculum. Our children are currently 9, 7, 5, and 2. The books are full of so much great learning and integrate fun monthly themes. The pronunciation keys, songs, games, pictures, and audio CDs of most of the lessons are extremely helpful and fun. We reuse the curriculum year after year as my children learn more in depth each time and can assist their siblings. The new virtual classes are engaging and fun plus a great value! I’ve been amazed with how much my children have learned through this curriculum. It’s so fun to hear them singing in Spanish and sharing what they’ve learned with grandparents. The best way to describe the curriculum is as a true treasure!!

varun vashishth: Miss Theresa is a very dedicated professional. She is great at teaching Spanish, and kids love her. During Covid -19 pandemic, she transitioned her classes to online mode, and by far, these are the best online classes my son attends. She gives personal attention to each kid, encourages them individually, and appreciates the uniqueness of each kid. Her classes are fun and action filled, and my son does not like to miss even a single class. Miss Theresa keeps finding new ways to engage and teach kids. My son has shown amazing progress with her.

Amy Houseman: My 3 year old has been taking Spanish at daycare for the last couple years and loves it. We started the at home lessons and she has so much fun and is participating the entire time. Theresa is so engaging, creative, and fun!

Alexandra Ott: Our 9 years old kids startet the Virtual Spanish Lessons about three weeks ago. It is just amazing to see how much fun they have and how proud they are to learn a new language. Without knowing a single word in spanish before, they are now able to count to 30, they are singing songs and they are able to describe their clothing in simple words. We can highly recommand the O'Neil Language Academy. Thanks a lot for this inspiring experience. Such motivating and appreciative teaching is hard to find. You are doing a great job. Excellente Miss Theresa!!

S P: My 3 year old has been taking Spanish classes with Senora Theresa at daycare for over a year and loves it. And I love it even more now that classes are available online! The days feel extra long sheltering in place, so having something that is both educational and fun for her to do is wonderful. And because the classes are online she can participate in multiple classes a week, which is awesome. She is engaged in the classes, loves the puppets, songs, and dances, and is actually learning to speak Spanish. These classes are great, and I highly recommend it to other parents of young kids!

Kimberly Cole: My 5yo son has taken Spanish class through his preschool for the last two years. He has learned so much in this time — counting, colors, conversational phrases and compliments, and a ton of seasonal and holiday vocabulary. During this current period of social distancing, he has been participating in the live online classes. I am so impressed with how Miss Theresa has taken her lessons online and allowed our family to maintain this bit of normalcy each week. It’s been fun for me, as a parent, too, learning along!

Kindergarten Prep Homebase H: We have been so pleased with Miss Theresa and the Spanish Class we have recently started at our center! The children look forward to their Tuesdays with Miss Theresa and are really learning so much more than I ever expected. She does an amazing job making learning fun and engaging.

Megan McGuire: My child has been taking Spanish with Theresa since he was 1.5 years old, and he loves it. Here's a story to illustrate: Often in the morning he doesn't want to get his shoes and coat on to go to daycare. One morning, he was hiding when it was time to get his coat on. I told him he had Spanish class today, and he immediately ran to the door and started banging on it! He was so excited!

ruth melcenter@qwestoffice.net: Time For Me Center loves the O'Neill Language classes. Children really look forward to seeing Theresa.

Karen McGillic: and just started taking Spanish lessons with Ms. Theresa. She comes to his daycare center, which makes it so easy for us! I was hesitant to enroll my son because he is a little shy and hasn’t shown any real interest in it, but he absolutely adores the class! This is a kid who begs me almost daily not to go to “school,” but when I tell him he gets to go to Spanish class, he yells “yay!” and practically runs to the car! And when I ask him about the class aftewards, he tells me it is “awesome” and then chatters on and on about all the fun stuff they do, including singing and even getting prizes! Ms. Theresa is clearly meant to work with children — she has such a wonderful manner with them and makes learning so much fun. Highly recommend!

Jared Asay: into our bedtime routine. Would highly recommend Theresa and the O’Neill Spanish program to anyone!
