Yinghua Academy: what do users think?

Edeva Vang: Soo good school

Justin Yang: As a former student: It was okay here, learned a lot and learned about manners and politeness. But at a cost. Some practices during my time there weren't the best. The humiliation part and yelling from teachers are true. Verbal aggression is a norm here. Some staff aren't as friendly and there's better schools out there. You're kid will turn out academically inclined, but their mental health is smoked. Teachers will and have taken stress and frustration out on students. After learning more about abuse, verbal abuse is to be expected. Everytime there are visitors, everyone portrays the perfect image. I'm pretty sure there are former students who have more to share. For the mental sake of your kids, choose better. Literally had to reheal from here.

Maya Hawk: I am currently a sixth grade student at Yinghua, and though the sixth graders are definitely crazy, there is no abuse or physical fights out in the hallway. The most that you will get if you misbehave is a trip to the principal’s office, or a call to the parents. I recommend this school.

Hazel Zimmerman: Love Yinghua! As a student, I did not experience any of the abuse students and former students are talking about in these reviews. Teachers will expect good behavior, but the worst that happens is a lecture. Most teachers love their students, and only want the best for them. The homework load is heavy compared to other schools, and is not so much that I can't get it done. I can tell that it is really helping me and my classmates to become our best selves. There isn't as much free time for recess and extra curriculars as I would like, but you get used to it and it is not extreme. I highly recommend Yinghua for anyone who feels that they want a challenge or a high quality education.

Gabe Londgren: because he treated me well and taught me so much! I respect him a lot and hope everyone who goes here can learn from him. Some of the people here are saying that the teachers abuse the kids but there is no abuse happening at least not from my time there. The teachers are just very strict and disciplined your child will adapt and learn that a little discipline is not all bad. So I encourage people to try this school out and give it a chance.

Sarah Huntley: Be ready for heavy homework load but no more intense than the public schools Immersion programs. You have to be dedicated as a family to the program. The staff is very communicative and has been supportive of my children. This is our 8th year at Yinghua and the curriculum is excellent!I have a 2nd grader enrolled also and look forward to many more Chinese New Year celebrations.

Cynthia Shypulski: .

Beckham Van Voorst: Mr ken shows the true yinghua spirit

International Spanish Language Academy: what do users think?

ShinySwirl: What a gel rest school

JC Cross: I’ll do my best to post an honest, informative review, as I have three children attending.ISLA is a Spanish-immersion charter school that has qualified as an International Baccalaureate World School. That means they follow the IB curriculum, which encourages students to think critically and learn through both a local and global context. The curriculum also promotes character development and social skills. Generally, IB schools have prepared students well for higher education.Jeremy Perrin serves as the principal. From my limited perspective, he does a good job caring for the students and staff while advocating for educational advancement.I personally prefer a Socratic style of teaching, which you won’t find as much here as in some private schools, but you also don’t pay anything for this education. However, I do think they could improve significantly in this aspect. More important than information dissemination is training a child to think critically, employ logic and reason, and challenge ideas not founded on those elements. In my copious amount of research, and now from personal experience, I have found the the school does very well at educating children to surpass government standards, while fostering important values. Equally important is their ability to do this without involving themselves in political persuasions of the day, which is always a temptation.

Georgette Gladney: Love the school and the staff !!!

caleb c: Great experience

Marcelo vega lemus: An incredible concept about education, suitable teachers, eager to create the best future for children, my biggest congratulations

Lakes International Language Academy - Main Campus: what do users think?

Stacey J: Best school ever, hands down. Dedicated, compassionate educators, engaged parents and a safe environment for kids to thrive in.

Kara Etoll: , I know I made your right decision.

Kara Foner: All four of my children have attended this school. Amazing whole child, worldview development. Great community. Exceptional education.

Kathryn Quesada: We love our experience at LILA and our kids are happy, confident and excited to go to school each day!

Tonia Friday: LILA has been an amazing experience for both my girls that attend the school. I currently have a 5th grader and a 1st grader. The teachers have been great and haven't had a teacher I wish they never had. There is great communication between the teacher/parent and my kids love the school. I highly recommend LILA to any person wanting to go to an IB school and learn another language. I remember pre-k - I was intimidated at first but once the homework started to come in, I wasn't anymore. They have English on pages for parents to help. These kiddos are sponges and learn the language so fast. You won't regret enrolling your kids at LILA. LILA has been a second family to us.

Amanda Phillippi: We LOVE LILA. We currently have 4 kids enrolled, our oldest is in 9th grade at the upper school, and our youngest is in 1st grade at the main campus! We’ve also sent them to the kinder prep program! You will not be disappointed in sending your kids to an immersion school, especially LILA, and the IB program to boot!!

Anna Aho: We love our time at LILA! The cumminity feel is built into every interaction and the partnership from educators and staff is abundant. Our children are thriving with the IB model and the transitions and communication over the past year of COVID has been exceptional. There's something so special about seeing your child communicate in another language but we say that we came for the immersion and stayed for the IB! So lucky to have that combo close to home.

Megan E: Amazing compassionate educators that will meet your child where he or she is at! We live out of district but the drive is worth it!

Jaynee Skeie: LILA has an incredible IB immersion educational program. We love the support given and the drive for excellence. They’re always striving to provide the best for the students and create a safe learning environment. On top of that young lives are being exposed to multicultural influences! Amazing place.

J Ray: , my oldest is now in 8th Grade and looking forward to continuing through High School Graduation - I highly recommend and love all the enrichment the school has brought to my children - not only from an immersion standpoint, but as well as an International Baccalaureate Program school. The teachings my children receive, from not only a MN State standpoint, but that of a Globalized World are lessons that most children don't receive in a traditional school setting.

Leslie Montour: My kids love going to school here! The teachers and staff are amazing!

Dick Pringle: Learning a second language will be such a big plus for these kids in their futures when looking for jobs, promotions, or maybe even helping someone in need.

Jared E Johnson: Great Chinese program!

Vicki Dolphy: Our family loves LILA. The staff and teachers care deeply for our children. We know our kids are learning a lot more than how to speak a second language. The IB program focuses on the whole child.
