Grace McJohnson: Twin Cities Insulation and their partners did work in our 1926 St. Paul home last year, just before winter. It took me awhile to do a review because I wanted to get through a whole winter and summer first. Our upstairs attic was completely not insulated. It was only accessible on the sides through crawl spaces. They did an awesome job problem solving with our odd and ancient home-they cut an access point in the closet in my son's room, found a bunch of old 1920s newspapers that was the old insulation and removed old debris, filled our entire upstairs attic area with blown in insulation, and sealed a door to a storage room really well. The work crew was courteous, communicative, and very good at cleaning up after themselves. We have lathe and plaster so I was extra impressed with the lack of dust left behind.We noticed a difference last winter. It's not super drastic, but it's definitely warmer during the winter in the 2 bedrooms upstairs. This summer we still needed to supplement our central AC with window units upstairs as usual, but my husband and I both noticed we didn't need them on as much at all as we did before the insulation. Keep in mind our home is almost 100 years old and has A LOT of areas that could use air sealing, something we just held off on due to our budget.Overall we are very happy with their work!

Michael Markos: We worked with Chris Kolbe at Home Drywall & Painting and couldn't have had a better experience. He was very expert and responded quickly to any of our emails/texts. Our house was built in 1957 and the ceiling had had water damage over the years from ice dams. The ceiling had a plaster texture so just patching would have been noticeable. Also, there were stepped tiers of shallow molding running along the edge of the ceiling. Chris' team did an expert job of stripping off the texture and preserving the molding giving us a beautiful smooth ceiling. And the cost was very reasonable for 340 sq. ft. So, I would highly recommend Chris and team for any plasterwork.

We had a couple of smaller unique drywall projects to take care of and they completed the work with great attention to detail, very quickly, and for a very reasonable price. After the project was done he did a walk through to insure that everything had been done properly. And anything that wasn't quite right he made sure he or his workers fixed it. There was only one problem he couldn't fix because it was a subcontractor tiler whose work just wasn't up to par. But, still, he even offered options for us then.

Tyler Klasell: I stopped in here with my partner as we both love music and have just bought a house. We were looking at some options to add to our home. I absolutely loved the atmosphere and vast array of equipment that they had. We were able to sit and listen to a few songs and I learned more about the benefits of 2.1 for Music instead of a full 5.2 system as most songs are recorded in two channel. Harmony Gallegos: I have been going to Mach 1 when it was located in Hopkins, MN at least 8 years because this is my second vehicle that I had them put an automatic start on.I had this viper auto start put on my Nissan 6 years ago. Never had any issues with it. Last month it started to go wonky. It would start and shut off in 5 minutes or less.I brought it to them and of course it worked like a charm for them. Well a few days went by and it happened again.Because they stand with their warranty I made an appt and Anthony wasn’t really finding anything wrong to cause it to do that so he just reset it with our fingers crossed that would fix the issue and it did!They have always been very helpful. I have sent a lot of people there way and no complaints.I was not charged a dime even 6 years later to have them look and see what the issue was. They had my car for a solid 1.5 hoursOf course if there might have been a lot of time taking it apart and having to replace the auto start there would have been some charges that would have been applied which is very reasonable.Brent has never taking me a down a path that was out of my budget and is always very helpful!Anthony was awesome and wanting to figure out what the issue was.Thanks guys!

Matt Brown: Jeep Wrangler JKU. It needed a new stereo and needed a CAN system to talk to my factory amp and sub. These guys walked me through some of the systems that I was looking at on Amazon and at Best Buy. I decided to go with an Alpine ILX-507 vs. the Pioneer 4660NEX. I am very happy with the decision. Yes, you might pay less from Amazon, but here you can see the unit and ask the pros any and all questions. I bought my first car stereo from the richfield location back when it was Communications Center over 30 years ago. I will definitely do more business with this local retailer.

Robert Erding: If you are looking for an audio experience that will blow your mind, these guys are the real deal! Last August of 2022, I bought a new Toyota Tundra and wanted a premium audio package to make my musical experience explode!! The entire staff was extremely professional and really listened to what it was that I wanted. I ended up changing my mind several times about the equipment I wanted and the entire staff happily met my needs. It posed a bunch more work for their staff and caused some tricky installation challenges which they happily met head on. In the end, their master woodworking guy found a way to install a big sub-woofer under and behind my rear bench seat which was completely necessary to make my wife smile!!The thing that was most impressive about my entire experience with Mach 1was that most of the interior of my brand new truck had to be taken apart, wired with amps, speakers, and put back together. Their work was so good that the truck interior was flawless and still looked brand new!!Give these folks a chance and you will be impressed!!

The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that out of no where I was told to pay an additional fee that I didn’t even plan for but anyways all is good I love my remote start set up it gives a fancy feeling especially with the mobile app, if you don’t have it please get yourself the mobile app it’s amazing.
Gordon Havila: I purchased a Kenwood Exelon system on March 13th 2023 for my 2015 Canyon and all was working fine until August when the system started acting up. I brought it into Sub Zero for diagnosis and they found a bad speaker wire was causing the system to goberserk. When I picked up the truck I was pleasantly surprised that there was no charge what so ever. It is now Oct. 26th and the unit has been working fine since. I really appreciate their ethics and honesty.

They answered all my questions leading up to the job and it was dropped off in the morning + done the same day. 15 inch subwoofer installed with a custom box and it hits extremely hard. VERY happy with the job that was done. Go here for any car audio needs.

Maggie Christopher: I can't say enough nice things about Mach 1 on Rice Street!!! I rarely write reviews but the entire staff deserves one. I thought my automatic start they installed was acting up because I couldn't lock my doors. So they got me right in immediately even though I didn't have an appt. The technician came back and showed me and explained that he had tested the remote start and it was working correctly but that a factory installed part was malfunctioning. He gave me the info I would need to have this checked out at the dealer. He was thorough and so helpful and get this......he didn't charge me for his time! These guys are great. Thank you!!
