Tanna Houlton: In 2017, we engaged David in a building project, a beautiful 3 car garage. We were delighted that this project was an unqualified success. The building came in on-time, on-spec, and on-budget, which is both the “gold standard” for what you want in a contractor and a relatively scarce outcome! The real test of David’s business came on February 5 of 2018 when we were greeted by the horror of a smoke-filled kitchen. We called David and within 15 minutes he was standing in our kitchen assessing the damage. Within 30 minutes he had plumbers and electricians securing the house. David immediately began working with our insurance company, and the clean-up process began the very next day. Over the next 10 months our home was completely rebuilt with great sensitivity to its age and style, and it is now a beautiful and fully up-to-date home ready to serve for the next 100 years! This was truly an “attic to basement” project. He expertly handled all the often complex and difficult insurance processes that are involved in any project like this. He managed the gigantic task of juggling sub-contractors and inspectors and suppliers. He was on-site every day, often all day, to ensure that what was supposed to happen did indeed happen. But wait, there’s more! In July 2018 we suffered a major flood incident at our business, and so, in the midst of our house project, we called on Attics to Basements to do emergency flood remediation on two levels of a secured building. Once again, David grabbed hold of the project and made it happen, and the result is beautiful. So that’s three times that I have been a client of David’s in the course of about 20 months. A “normal” project, a “crisis” project, and a “business” project, and David has scored 3 out of three on-time, on-spec, and on-budget results. Three quality outcomes. Travel Adventures with Heather: We worked with Attics to Basements last summer and they did a 2nd level addition to our 1.5 story home. They did a full kitchen remodel, added all new windows, furnace, electrical update, water heater, air conditioner. We are now a 5 bedroom 2 bath with 2nd story washer and dryer. David and his team were amazing. They worked with us every step of the way and always made sure we knew what was going on.

I loved how he problem solved when the squirrels seemed to be outsmarting us and made sure the job got done! Matt, who did our estimate and took me through the process was excellent. Luis and Luis Sr, the installers, were also excellent. They cleaned up after themselves to the point that you could barely tell they were present. Their attention to detail was spot on. Price was excellent too!The only real “con” is that the holes were drilled inconsistently in the walls, so there’s really no rhyme or reason to where I will have to repaint. I’d have preferred the spots be a little more consistent. That said, it’s not enough for me to change my mind about the rest of the process.Will book again!

Grace McJohnson: Twin Cities Insulation and their partners did work in our 1926 St. Paul home last year, just before winter. It took me awhile to do a review because I wanted to get through a whole winter and summer first. Our upstairs attic was completely not insulated. It was only accessible on the sides through crawl spaces. They did an awesome job problem solving with our odd and ancient home-they cut an access point in the closet in my son's room, found a bunch of old 1920s newspapers that was the old insulation and removed old debris, filled our entire upstairs attic area with blown in insulation, and sealed a door to a storage room really well. The work crew was courteous, communicative, and very good at cleaning up after themselves. We have lathe and plaster so I was extra impressed with the lack of dust left behind.We noticed a difference last winter. It's not super drastic, but it's definitely warmer during the winter in the 2 bedrooms upstairs. This summer we still needed to supplement our central AC with window units upstairs as usual, but my husband and I both noticed we didn't need them on as much at all as we did before the insulation. Keep in mind our home is almost 100 years old and has A LOT of areas that could use air sealing, something we just held off on due to our budget.Overall we are very happy with their work!

Randon Dauman: I have been using this location for a non-profit that I am the president of. The manager, I believe her name is Mikki, has been extremely helpful. I’m not sure how she does it alone there but it’s kept very clean, and always willing to provide help when needed. From a service level this location has been great and I believe that has to do with the manager. Quite honestly, I think the upper management is what brings on the disappointing experiences. One thing I haven’t been able to wrap my head around is why would they continue to increase rates if you have current customers that are making their payments. Especially if they arn’t filling up the other units, seems counterproductive and kind of disrespectful to those that do pay for the service. Again, not a manager level thing, I think that comes from the corporation itself. But I’d like to emphasize my experience has been exactly what you need and expect at this location.
