We also have great values on remaining gear from last year at 30% to 50% off. For our figure skaters we have everything needed for the upcoming Fall lesson programs & competitions.

Scot Herbst: These folks really know there stuff, I made a trip from California to get custom fitted for alpine touring equipment, they had gear I simple couldn’t find in-store anywhere out west and I wasn’t comfortable committing to performance ski gear online. Hence the trip to MN, Pierce did not disappoint. Expert fitter Dave scanned me and custom ground my boot profile, Bart and his team pulled my skis and bindings and mounted, tuned and set everything up seamlesslessly. Super professional, passionate, I learned a ton just going through the experience with them. Can not recommend enough. Don’t waste your time anywhere else.

Cole Blodgett: Had the best, most comprehensive boot fitting I’ve ever received today with Kurt. He put his hands on my feet and sleuthed out where my unique fit problems reside. The scanning technology removed all guess work and provided detailed measurables about my foot, ankle and calf which guided the boot fitting process in tandem with his personal expertise. He cut no corners, had me try on several pairs of boots, and asked me questions that decisively guided us to the final boot selection. The fitting process did not end with boot selection however, Kurt continued to fine tune my fit and after a short 30 minutes of labor on his behalf, I left with shells that had been custom punched out appropriately to comfortably accommodate my foot. Excellent experience all around, thank you Kurt.For balance, I’m a late 20’s advanced skier who’s been through 3 pairs of boots in 4 years and have struggled mightily with fit issues my whole life. I ski roughly 15-20 days each winter, mostly out west.

Doing research beforehand to make sure I signed him up for the appropriate class that met his skill level. What a wonderful option to select a group or private session to get the most out of our time and money. Packages, time options and instructor choice also fantastic flexibility with scheduling. Although they didn't have my size in the shoes I was looking for, they worked to give me valuable info to serve the rest of my trip. AMAZING! I enjoy our interactions and they also allowed me to look around and take in the space without feeling rushed or smothered. Staff were getting things done although they were completing tasks. The shoe selection here is out of this world. It's a hidden gem. I pride myself on wearing shoes I don't see many people wear, and I find a lot of rare footwear here. Every-time I go in there the staff is very helpful and accommodating from suiting us up with the appropriate hockey gear, custom ordering skates for extra wide feet to promptly getting our skates sharpened: I feel the store needs some updating on the interior or a remodel but then again it’s not a big box store it’s a family owned small business. They are also happy to do custom orders for team apparel. I truly appreciate them and it’s worry the drive for me.

Blake Upmeyer: Came up from Iowa, and took my 9yo boy in to check out hockey gear. Friendly staff and cool place! The ol’ man of the house checked on us, then pointed out the stick section. Son loved testing out some twigs! Will be back!
Robbie Robbie: . 10 minutes later my skates were done. The guy that sharpened them also gave me a tip to note my boots all the way to the top until I break in the skates a little more. I took them to an open skate that same day for a quick test and it was a huge improvement! I got about 8 hours of skate time out of them this weekend so I just got back from sharpening them today and they feel perfect.Strauss is the best. Taking your skates anywhere else for a sharpening is a waste of your time and money.

April Bridger: Great experience both times I've been there. Very friendly and helpful! It feels very comfortable and they make you feel at home. Has a nice family vibe going on. They have a friendly dog that's always there. I just returned skates that my daughter will never wear, and I bought months ago, as an impulse buy, but regretted immediately afterwards, but never got around to returning. I didn't even have the receipt anymore, and they still let me return them! No problem. Even gave me cash. I expected maybe in-store credit or that I would have to have the receipt. Pleasantly surprised. Much appreciated!!
