Tyler Rinta: Excellent store, with a weekly turnover of great quality electronics. Bring $50 and you will go away happy, probably with money left over.

If you’re into 2nd hand electronics for a low price, Free geek has descriptive labels on all of their inventory so you can purchase with confidence. Also, If you’re looking to experiment with electronics but would prefer not to break the bank, this is a great place to build upon that.

The gentleman was patient with me and helpful assisting me on making a selection.I was a little hesitant being that the prices were so low, but he didn't take it personally and was pretty relaxed explaining all those details. My computer is still in working order, but even if it stopped working, I know where to get it fixed.5 stars because I don't think I ever been concerned about a store being still in business more than this one.

Jon Arnold: I brought my computer in due to it continually shutting down due to what it said was a power surge. It turned out that it had been over heating and the motherboard was fried. In the process of the investigation he also found out that my hard drive was in the process of becoming corrupted.He didn't have anything in stock that could replace what I had but he helped me shop online to find the cheapest solution for me and then transferred everything from my corrupted hard drive to the new computer.Everything is working great now and if he hadn't have gone above and beyond I probably would have ended up losing data from my corrupted hard drive.I would absolutely recommend Orphan Computers and will be coming back for any additional needs in the future. It's hard to find someone who values building a relationship with their customers like Orphan Computers does.

Joy Smallfield: with bad screen we haven't used in a year or so. Owner of Orphan was courteous and helped us out on the spot. One hour later computer is fixed, trouble shooting we can do on our own learned for the future. Also, baby computer diagnosed, part ordered...being fixed. All this for around $100. I would highly suggest giving this local business a try. When you go to the big guys they have a set list of prices so there is little room for assessing the situation independently. Thanks so much for your help.

If you have a problem with this place, then you're probably a local competitor who doesn't like the fact that people can get the same quality of products for an extremely low price.Or you're someone who only buys brand-new products and doesn't realize there are better options for less. Just because you have the money doesn't mean other people do. So don't look down on a business that I know is good for the community just because that business doesn't meet your needs.

Steven Mosborg: Had a very positive experience with Keith, the business owner at Strike Twice Computers in St. Louis Park, MN. I had attempted to clone and install a new 4T internal drive on my Dell XPS computer myself, but could not get it to reboot properly. After I filled out an online Strike Twice Computers' service form, Keith called promptly and provided a quote. He also stated that there was a chance my laptop may have a 2T internal drive limit, but that he would give it a try and only charge me the minimum service fee if unsuccessful. Well sure enough, he got it to work and replaced my old internal drive with a larger gently-used one no charge that I can now use as an external drive . Keith has been in business for 36 years and at his current location for 26 of those years. Thank you, Keith. Give Strike Twice Computers a try. Always a thrill to support local businesses.

David Ross: is great. He is technically excellent, has people skills, and an understanding of what each customer may want and need based on how they use computers. I'm a physician who does some work from home, I also have a consulting business; no need for gaming etc. Keith set me up perfectly on a used/refurb machine far more capable than the old one I left him. All important data was transferred to the new machine, despite the old machine being basically dead. I also have my old drive to back up data, just in case. Go see Keith at strike twice, you won't be disappointed.

But 5/5 will have to do I guess.I've got a high end gaming computer that was specifically built for flight simulation in the P3D world with PMDG add on aircraft. I started having issues with it and also had issues with Microsoft 365. I summoned Malcom's help for the 365 issue mainly, to help me find the root cause as to why I couldn't reinstall it. Not only did Malcom figure that out, but he also fixed a different issue with the P3D flight simulator application as well and got me back into the virutal skies. Honestly, I thought the P3D issues were going to have to be resolved by P3D support. But Malcom, being the expert that he is, figured those issues out as well. He went above and beyond.Malcom isn't your ordinary corporate IT guy. He's the one those guys all go to when they can't figure stuff out.Highly recommended and I'll be a return customer if the P3D flight sim application ever starts acting up again. This guy knows what's he's doing and will get your machine up and running again, better than it was before.

mainstreettoys: Last Saturday my laptop updated Windows 10 and promptly crashed the system. I was stuck in an endless blue screen reboot loop. Running diagnostics and a system restore still brought me back to the blue screen.I use this computer in business so my panic was off the charts. Not being optimistic about a repair - especially on a weekend - I called Minneapolis PC Repair and within 2 hours dropped the laptop off for repair.Later that afternoon I received a text from Malcolm with a photo of the laptop - booted up - with the desktop as it was before the crash! My greatest fear had been that the operating system would need to be re-installed - which would have made program re-installs a time consuming and cumbersome task. I think that lesser qualified repair professionals would have taken that shortcut, but Malcolm came through spectacularly.If I could give 10 stars I would. Don't waste you time or money with anyone else - these people are the best in Minnesota.

I had called in advance for a walk-in so when I got there he took a look at the laptop and replacement keyboard and immediately gave a cost and time frame. He delivered the repair within 2 hours and everything worked like a charm. Their employees are knowledgeable and friendly.I went in this past Saturday afternoon. because the charging cord had broken off inside the charging port of our iPad. Paul went above and beyond to get the thing out! Replacing the whole port was more than the iPad was worth and about half the cost of a brand new one. Paul was game to try digging it out with his tools and worked on it for over an hour. There was a chance the port could be damage while he was working on it, but he successfully removed the piece without damage. Very thankful for his persistence! Device Pitstop is our first stop for repairs.

I was initially having major boot issues with my Dell Inspiron, which they believed to be an issue with hard drive, and had it replaced. After picking it up, the crashes continued and I had to bring it back in. There was a bit of back in forth as they solved the problem over the course of a few days.
