Kymberli: Love this place. Has a great selection of raw or cooked meats as well as accompaniments such as cooked yams. They also sell a variety of healthy dog treats as well as toys and supplements. Not over priced. When I moved I thought I wouldn't be able to continue to pick up my dog's food but there are multiple locations around the metro that I can reach in a short drive.

Since starting our dog on raw 3 weeks we are already seeing HUGE changes in our ~9 year old dog. Increased prey drive, more playful, actually excited to eat, less dander, less teary eyes, and firm poop every time. The cost is reasonable - and trust me, we shopped around - especially considering all of the health issues you're avoiding by feeding natural in the first place.

Castaway Family email: very helpful staff and the dogwash is cheap also you can get everything here. I have guinea pigs a bird and a dog family members and we get everything they need here. One of their staff its an older gentleman who also does the nail trimming even possibly saved our guinea pigs by letting us know that you can not use cedar bedding for guinea pigs as it causes respiratory issues and we never knew that and unfortunately have been using it. So thank you Sir for the helpful advice.

Their selection of refrigerated pet food is awesome! My dog recently got spayed, and I stopped in to stock up on lick mats/enrichment for her to keep her occupied while on rest. They had so many types of mats, bowls, and toys to choose from, so we went ahead and got a good variety for her. Plus the folks who work here are the best (: 10/10 would recommend this shop to any and everyone!

Robert Bischel: I have to admit, I've lived in Minneapolis for six years and I've walked past this place dozens of times and haven't stopped in. Today I finally did and it's a really chill place with great staff. I had the Pastrami and Rye and it's definitely a hard to beat sandwich!

Anthony Tessman: So, here’s the story… After reading all the bad reviews about von- Hanson’s Meats. I knew I needed something better, so I did a little research and found this place. I had read they serve some deli sandwiches and I was hangry anyway, so my son and I ordered a couple of their turkey club sandwiches and two Virgil’s cane-sugar, root beers to wash them down. The sandwiches were delicious and The customer service from a very chipper young lady was, first class! we rarely feel this at home anymore when we go out. In addition to the sandwiches I bought some top-notch burger meat from a nice gentleman Kelly who was kind enough to send me home with a sample to try. Best service ever, so glad I made the trip. Thanks ST. PAUL MEAT SHOP! I will return hungry!!

Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, with plenty of thick cut chicken and bacon. Tasty doesn’t seem enough - and the same is true fo the smoked potato salad. It’s all to go! The scenery around there (near Mcalester on Grand Ave. in St. Paul. Get a sandwich and enjoy a stroll.

Just then a light shined down from heaven onto the front door of The St Paul Meat Shop. Could this be the sign I was praying for? I went inside and not only did they have some choice cuts of local meat but they made me a brat. With sauerkraut and mustard! And no ketchup and they knew this because I'm pretty sure they were sent by the Lord Almighty itself. I left with a cut of cardamon chicken and a pork chop to bless the entire congregation of my house. I was a sinner and nonbeliever before but today I can proudly say that The St Paul Meat Shop made be a true believer, of meat and the power it holds. Peace be with you.

Evelyn Boyd: We’ve been here several times and it’s always excellent but this time was even better. JoJo, our server had great recommendations. The oysters were perfect, entrees were delicious as always, and the sticky toffee cake put it over the top along with the China China Amaro that JoJo recommended.
