We always go here first for our spring planting. We were late shopping this year and when everyone else was out of herbs they still had plenty.

I found a well-labeled and versatile collection here compared to others in the metro. Red columbine, bee balm, joe pye weed, prairie clover, aster, mayapple, milkweed, and more. Would love to see even more options for natives.

Nate Deis: , begonias, and other collector Tropicals. Some unique pothos varieties. All for a REALLY GOOD price. Nothing super rare though I will say if that’s what your looking for..The succulent selection was pretty nice as well. Mostly common species. Most succulents are smaller to medium size. Again really fair pricing..They also offer lots of outdoor flowers and tons on unique pots and accessories. If you mix your own soil they have everything you would need as well..The staff was really helpful and willing to assist. I would definitely recommend this place.

I like the variety of plants and accessories, including local and sustainable options. I’ve only been during the winter but can’t wait to come back during the spring and summer seasons. 🌿

T K: This place is really great. The selection of pots, planters, and anything to make your plants adorable is here. They really do a fantastic job in stocking aesthetics. This is the only nursery I've seen terracotta planters glazed in cute colors w drainage. The selection of plants in the little green house surpasses most larger nurseries.
lexi joanne: all the plants I have gotten from this nursery are thriving, every time I go to this nursery I'm always greeted and treated so well. they even made sure that my plant wouldnt get cold on my drive back home. I havent found a better place to get plants!

The teachers at this center have been nothing short of magnificent. They go above and beyond to ensure that my children are well taken care of, both physically and emotionally.One of the aspects that I truly appreciate about this daycare is the open and effective communication. Whenever I drop off my children, I have complete peace of mind knowing that they are in great hands. The teachers treat them as if they were their own children, showering them with love, attention, and guidance.It is truly heartwarming to witness the nurturing and supportive environment that this daycare center provides. They understand the individual needs of each child and create a space where they can grow, learn, and thrive. At every stage/classroom we have been thoroughly impressed with the teachers, curriculum, and overall care provided.The teachers and leadership all have a deep connection with our children and their development. Their progression to different classrooms is not based on generic benchmarks such as age or walking, but the New Horizon team communicates openly about the maturity and development of the child and why they think they should or should not move to new classrooms.New Horizon has gone above and beyond to make sure they’re assisting our child who has been physically late to develop. They have been eager to understand what specialists are recommending to us and implementing their recommendations with our son. We never considered a daycare’s approach to something like this when deciding and we couldn’t be more pleased. In speaking with family/friends we’ve come to learn that our experience is rare and we are very grateful.New Horizon Uptown has everything you expect in a day care: safe, clean, transparent, kind, etc. but they do the little things that makes this place so much more.

They have been with our infant since she was 3 months old and seem genuinely excited to be part of her life, often remarking enthusiastically about how she is growing and reaching milestones. We also like the toddler program and how they schedule the day. Our 2.5 yr old comes home happy & messy from playing outside & creating art. She also tries a lot of different foods from their meal programming. It's more varied than what we offer her at home. Communication is easy with pictures & updates throughout the day. We like the cute things they do for holidays

Shannon Kiesner: My daughter has been going to this center for the last 2 years. She has been in both the toddler and pre-k programs. There was a bit of turnover in the beginning with teachers/management, but for the last year, the staff has been solid and supportive.When the pandemic started, I was nervous that things at the center would fall apart like many of the other businesses in Minneapolis. It was the opposite.The communication has been thorough, professional and personalized. I feel more connected and informed than pre pandemic. My child has formed strong relationships with her classmates and her teachers and she is learning so much every day. The teachers at Hennepin NH care for these kids like their own.The positive impact that this center has had in our lives has been a game changer.💛💙💛

Will P: Fractal Cactus is an excellent succulent shop in south Minneapolis! The shop dog is very sweet and friendly and the owner is knowledgeable and friendly, too. He keeps a great lofi music playlist going, maintaining a great ambiance as you shop.

Elizabeth: Wow! What a great shop! Loved the wide variety of cacti and succulents! There were large and small specimens in plain pots and decorated pots. Soil mixes and pots, macrame hangers. And then there are all the fun plant, jewelry, stones, cards, posters and nature related gift items. I didn't catch the owner's name but he was very helpful and knowledgeable, and we are very happy with the 2 plants we chose. All the plants seemed really well established. Mac: One of the coolest plant shops in Minneapolis. I always leave here with the perfect new addition to my home. Scott is super knowledgeable, helpful, and so nice, and he has his cute pups at the shop sometimes which is always a bonus. He takes such pride and care in his shop and all of the plants inside. He finds the coolest cacti on his travels, and everything is priced so well. You won't be disappointed!
Brandon Gerou: This place is amazing. If you are a plant lover… succulents and cacti here are amazing. The owner is so knowledgeable and you can pick out your plants, and pots… the pots are made by local artists and the owner will plant them right before your eyes! So knowledgeable and fun to shop with! I can’t wait to go back! Thank you for a job well done and being a small owned business I can support.

They have an excellent selection—including many oddities and rare plants—and you’re sure to find something you like. The owner typically runs the shop and is extremely knowledgeable.
Linh Tran: It would be wonderful if every plant nursery would be like Fractal Cactus. The owner is very knowledgeable. You can tell he is passionate and love his plants. Great customer service. I came in as someone who wasn’t interested in cactus/succulent, and walked out as someone who wants a Lophocereus schottii monstrose in my house.I was offered a cool water bottle on a hot, sunny Saturday afternoon from the owner. This explains why this local shop deserves 5 stars.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Christine Courtney: , and I have absolutely no regrets. The management works hard to ensure families feel comfortable with the center and have a chance to form community with each other. Kids are responsibly transitioned to the next age room, with plenty of time to develop comfort with new teachers. Staff are well trained, friendly, and work hard to put together consistent classroom cultures that allow kids to have fun while still learning appropriate-age behaviors.KinderCare is expensive, but I have never ONCE in eight years wondered whether my children were safe or cared for. My older children in particular have developed real friendships with their classmates at KinderCare--friends they still see and spend time with at camps and on weekends to this day. I wholeheartedly recommend University KinderCare.
Jane Sumner: I have two kids at University KinderCare. Both kids started when they were about nine weeks old. I love the staff, the location, the facility, and how much my kids love it. I'll be really sad when my younger kid starts Kindergarten because KinderCare has been such a positive, consistent force in our lives since early 2018.
Julie Lambrecht: My little man went to Kindercare in Eagan originally, starting at 3 months old and then after a move, I begged Dad to keep him in Kindercare's program. Dad listened and now he goes to the Kindercare off University. They are amazing!! The teachers, the facility, the education programs, the safety during Covid, you name it, they rock! My little man is so so smart and I have no doubt it is from the curriculum Kindercare has. Their phone app is updated with daily potty breaks, lessons, pictures, videos, and supply requests. I love getting daily pictures of what he's learning! I'd tell anyone to go here!
Justin Pletcher: We've been sending our child here for almost 3 years and we couldn't be happier. He's excited to go to school every day and they're always doing something fun and educational with the children. They eat well, play outside as often as they can, and they take great care of our son. The place is clean and the staff are always in a good mood. They bring in special guests and entertainers and have multiple family-oriented events every year. During COVID, they stayed open using good safety measures and I never feel like my son is in danger while at daycare. I honestly don't know where we'd be without University KinderCare. It's been a blessing.

They go above and beyond to make our whole family feel like a valued part of the community. The infant room staff is well-trained and so nurturing, and the administrative staff and teachers aids are wonderful. I never worry that my son is not in good hands.I absolutely recommend them if you’re looking for childcare!
