Mounds Park Academy: what do users think?

andrew r: they had some godly pancakes today oh my lord there were busting! # i love pancke

max francois: Best School In the World

Spencer Hamilton: Good school

Doh Kaoh: Never been to this school but I just wanted to ask, is this school private and does it have wrestling or weightlifting. I'm considering going here.

Kelsey Anderson: After a long search to find a great school for our 7th grader, we were so pleased to find the perfect learning environment at Mounds Park Academy! From the first visit where we toured this amazing facility, we were impressed by the bright hallways, classrooms, the state-of-the-art equipment and the incredible library! Every space at MPA has been carefully crafted to insure the success of the children from kindergarten through 12th grade. Now that our child is in 9 th grade, we know we made the right choice! The teachers, administration and staff are some of the most dedicated, motivated and qualified professionals in the field of education. The rigorous academic catalog is brimming with exciting core classes and enticing electives, all guaranteed to produce a well- rounded education. Beyond the incredible educational benefits, MPA is a very welcoming and inclusive environment where students are allowed and encouraged to ask tough questions, express independent ideas and thrive in a truly nurturing and safe environment. We are so thoroughly impressed and pleased by all the exceptional aspects of the Mounds Park Academy experience and highly recommend it unequivocally without hesitation! We are grateful beyond measure!

Joshua Hanson: Amazing school, all-star teachers, and leadership. We are fortunate to be a part of this community and value the education and character building that it provides. If you think it would fit you family, I encourage you to check it out.

Nate Johnson: My time at MPA prepared me to be a lifelong learner. I absolutely loved my experience, the friends I made, and the community that I have. I am also incredibly grateful to my parents for making the decision to send me to MPA, and for making the investment in me. I am a better person and a better student because they were so selfless in prioritizing MPA tuition over new cars, vacations or cabins. If you are a parent considering MPA, but hesitant because of the tuition, know that your child, like me, will grow up to be exceptionally grateful that you made the decision to invest in their future with a private school like this one. I can't say enough good things about MPA. It will always be my home.

Salmah Elmasry: MPA students are multipotentialites, encouraged to participate in both arts and sciences and have a diverse set of interests. MPA teachers deeply care about their students and are dedicated to fostering conscientious, global citizens who will positively impact their communities.

Jim Kreilich: Had the pleasure of having lunch time with our wonderful kindergarten granddaughter at MPA cafeteria on Friday. A great experience was had. Impressed by lunch selections provided & the impressive facilities, but more impressed by the staff and students!

Kaitlyn Person: LOVE LOVE LOVE my hair it came out so much better than i couldve ever expected! They take their time and i actually appreciate that they always want your input and the price is amazing the people are so sweet an amazing and Matiya Klinger did the most amazing job on my hair and she so sweet!

Sara Parizek: Both my daughter’s hair turned out great! 11/14 years old. One got a cut and style and the other got highlights and a haircut. They both said their stylist were really nice and easy to talk too!

C N: Such a relaxing, calming experience!

Jane Vardeman Shannon: Always great

Lynne Hesse: I've been getting facials and skin care/esthiology services at the Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute in Minneapolis for 40+ years. The students are kind, professional and they're supervised by licensed instructors. I love the way my skin feels after receiving a facial or any other skin care service from Aveda, and today was no exception. I recommend scheduling an appointment at the Aveda Institute; you'll love the way your skin looks and feels!

Laura Grimes: Мне понравился мой 90-минутный уход за лицом. Наталья проделала огромную работу. Пришел туда с чувством стресса, а ушел очень расслабленным. Спустя неделю моя кожа чувствует себя и выглядит великолепно!

Sharon Fowler:

Rhea Smykalski: Ходили на массаж и получили отличный сервис. Очень опытный и дружелюбный.

Amy Engler: У меня здесь был разный опыт, и я получил множество различных услуг: от массажа, ухода за лицом, стрижки и окраски волос. В целом, у меня было больше хороших впечатлений, чем плохих.

Sammy Strong: I've missed this school so much, it's a great school the teachers are very nice ^^

Angelica Jinks: Family Friendly, I attended a PowWow there in the Spring and thought everyone was most welcoming. My step son even commented how friendly everyone was, he said his school doesn't have family events like this. We had a blast, Thank You!

Cecelia Benimon: I work at Anishinabe Academy. I can not ask for better administration and staff to work with. It has been the first job where I have had great support. Both of my daughters go to school here and my youngest has came home teaching me Ojibwa. My oldest can be very shy at times and now she is more open. She will be performing a play with Anishinabe at Children's Theatre.

Minnesota Thunder Academy: what do users think?

Abby Andrusko: Our experience with MTA has been transformative for our U10 daughter. The atmosphere fostered by the program is incredibly positive and encouraging, providing the perfect platform for her to thrive. With each training, she becomes more confident as a player, thanks to the expert guidance of the coaches who lead with both skill and kindness. The coaches' dedication to the players' growth, not just as athletes but as individuals, is truly commendable. We have been impressed with how well-run the organization is as a whole. The communication platforms are efficient & effective. We have been really pleased with how the Juniors Director leads the program. We highly recommend it to anyone seeking a supportive & motivated atmosphere for their child's development. With MTA, you're not just joining a program; you're joining a community that celebrates growth and teamwork at every turn. We are so glad we found MTA!

Lisa Cortez: My daughter has been with this club since she was 5/6 years old. We are now coming up on her senior year! What a milestone this has been for her! This club has been nothing but supportive! She has loved every single coach & had no inquiry to go to another club! MTA for life!!! Lisa Cortez

Christopher Wall: My son has been with MTA over 2 years now from Thunderbolts to comp team. He's had great support all the way and his current coach, Mark Jacobs has been fantastic at teaching his team skills and tactics. Personally he's been a great support to a more timid player and was an outstanding addition to the MTA coaching staff.

Erich Weiss: Amazing program that allows your child to play outside their comfort zones while learning thru both their mistakes and successes!! Coaches are truly focused on helping your child be the best they can be while cultivating a great team first mentality! First year family to the program and can admit have seen lots of growth in my daughters play. As they have also grown to assure for success for the program it would be awesome to see some opportunity for maybe some open soccer times especially in the winter months now with WP being their home. This I feel could be a valuable asset to the development of the kids because their is no better opportunity to just getting out and playing for fun with all talent levels in just a relaxed environment. And hopefully as time goes there can be a better way to drop off and pick up at WP. But besides those two small wishes I can safely say the MTA program is one for those looking to bring their game to another level. Coaches are amazing and the community is strong!

Kai Halbersma: Great club! Great coaching and environment!

Larissa R: A great place! My son started last fall and has improved a lot since then! The coaching staff is great! The location and scheduling is very convenient, and the club communication is clear and concise.

Ashley Bliss: We have loved being a part of MTA over the last 2 years. Coach Brian and Sal are great role models for our son. Highly recommend!

Mark Ringo: MTA is the best! Great club, knowledgeable coaches, excellent training, and great facilities. Both of my girls have improved their soccer skills and love playing and representing MTA! Go Thunder!

Matthew Stahl: , the leadership above and beyond playing the game of soccer has been much appreciated. The program is also very organized, making our lives much easier to plan out our family schedule in advance of upcoming seasons.

Jacob Simms: Our experience with MTA has been absolutely exceptional! Cannot say enough wonderful things about all things MTA!

Carmen Wamre: MTA is a world-class organization that we have been part of for 10 years. Some of our fondest memories will be in an MTA uniform, field or on a road trip. The coaching staff is exceptional and professional and care about all the players. The soccer is second to none in Minnesota at MTA!!!

Michael Scrafford: Our 13 year old moved to MTA this past year and has absolutely loved it. From the great coaching and player development to the amazing facilities to the high level ECNL competition and community-feel of MTA, we have been thrilled with the move. Go Thunder!

Sarah M: Don’t get me wrong, we LOVE MTA. This is our first year with our 12 year old daughter. She has benefited from excellent coaching, great teammates and wonderful parental support. Her dad and I feel that MTA is staffed by outstanding coaches who deeply care about our daughter’s development as a player and person. There are a few things we suggest to improve. The parking situation at Winter Park is a headache. Considering the price we pay to play, we’d love to see more opportunities for open soccer so our daughter can play with and learn from other girls, boys, and older players. Also, more opportunities for one-on-one training would be appreciated.

Todd Voss: From the first day my daughter was challenged to push herself outside of her comfort zone and to play at a high level but also warmly welcomed into the club by the coaches, staff and teammates. The coaching is fantastic and the opportunities to develop as a player and compete at a high level are amazing. The culture is top-notch, too.

Jennifer Frantz: MTA is a magnet, drawing the best players to join together in a community that supports their internal drive for excellence.

Sean Connor: We have had a great experience with MTA for our two older sons. We have really enjoyed Matt’s leadership of the boys soccer program and his approachable style as a parent. We have also appreciated coach Austin‘s leadership of our oldest son’s soccer team. Austin has created a great positive culture on the team, communicates well with the parents and teaches fundamental skills to the boys like passing and keeping your shape on the field. I appreciate that MTA teaches boys and girls to play soccer with hard work and teamwork.

Patty1204: My daughter started soccer this year and LOVES it because of all of the awesome coaches... MTA s THE BEST!

Josefina Landrieu: We've had a great experience since joining MTA's ECNL Boys program. The organization and quality of the club is top notch. You are always informed and players have access to great coaches and facilities.

Good Shepherd Catholic School: what do users think?

thuy aloi: We have 2 children going to school here and have been very impressed with the faculty and staff at Good Shepherd. When my children transferred to the school, all their nervousness was alleviated on the first day. They came home happy and excited to begin their schooling here. Their teachers went out of their way to make sure they felt welcomed and included, and my daughter kept repeating, "Everyone is so NICE here, mama!" 3 years later, we are just as impressed with the level of education and ethics instilled in the students as well as with the staff's genuine care and concern for the kids. We were a bit skeptical when others raved about how our kids would love it here but after 3 years at Good Shepherd, we can confirm without reservation that this is truly a special place.

Melissa Sack: My kids love this school, my husband and I love this school. The staff is the best, you can tell they truly love these kids.

Geoffrey Reglos: with the older students

Angie Saffert: The choice to enroll our kids at Good Shepherd has proven to be one of the best decisions we have made as parents! We have a graduate and a current 4th grader, and they are polar opposite kids! Good Shepherd identified and promoted their strengths and helped each excel. The teachers and staff are second to none and they feel like family. There is a great sense of community at Good Shepherd. We have met some of our closest friends through this wonderful Good Shepherd community!Good Shepherd has an excellent STEM program as well as art program of Abrakadoodle and Art Adventure. Not only does Good Shepherd have a rigorous educational program, but there are numerous extracurricular activities for the students to participate. Some of the activities include: basketball, volleyball, skiing, run club, soccer, Lego robotics, chess club, boy scouts, and girl scouts. Good Shepherd promotes becoming well-rounded students. The kids engage in numerous volunteer and service projects.Good Shepherd is a fantastic school and we highly recommend it for anyone looking at elementary schools!

cindy sarvie: Good Shepherd is an amazing school!!I grew up going to a private school, my husband went to public schools. We toured 2 public schools before we looked at Good Shepherd, both appeared to be really good. We are a one income family and were worried about the cost associated with sending our children to a private school. Once we toured Good Shepherd, we just knew that is where we belonged. We will have our third child entering Good Shepherd next year and have never once questioned or second guessed our decision to join this school!Good Shepherd is a very strong, caring, family community. A place where I know without a doubt that my kids are in wonderful hands. We couldn't be any happier with the level of education our children are receiving, the faith formation and the positive and supportive social atmosphere!

Sara Ballinger: but we wanted to make sure she was best prepared socially and academically for junior high. We couldn’t be happier with our decision. After her first week, she came home and told us, “I get why you wanted to send me to Good Shepherd.” She was welcomed warmly and immediately treated as one of the family. The administration and staff are second to none. They foster involvement, respect and FANTASTIC study habits. The laptop program is a unique differentiator, and learning experiences like Invention Convention and JA Biztown are also top-notch. Our only regret? Not switching her sooner. We will miss it!

Lexy Wikenheiser: to partner on projects or set a good example. The service club for the kids in 6th grade has been a wonderful program which allows them both to give back to the school and demonstrate responsibility

Conrad Ehr: . Those who have been around a long time have the wisdom and understanding of what is best for younger kids. The newer teachers bring a strong understanding of what is new and successful in the world of primary education. This mix allows students to begin to learn life lessons. The curriculum is very cutting edge, with older kids having a laptop assigned at the beginning of the year, thus preparing them for the challenges of Junior High and leading them into High School. Finally, I would say that when you are part of Good Shepherd School, you are part of an extended family that will find a way to help you stay there. The cost is extremely reasonable when you take into account that the children are loved and taught according to their individual needs, as well as being part of a larger society. They are taught to respect their elders, and yet are allowed to show the strength of their own character. If you are on the fence, please try it for one year. You won't regret it.

Zachary Kretchmer: , to all the teachers and support staff, we could not have picked a better school for our children. Patience, structure, and inspiration are intertwined in an educational curriculum second to none. Religious instruction is an important part of the curriculum, but not in an overbearing way. There is a tremendous sense of community among the children and the parents - we really are a big family - and are honored to serve as a resource for one another. I could not offer a higher recommendation for an elementary school.

Angie Knodel: Our first year at Good Shepherd was in 2010 and we now have all 4 children attending Good Shepherd. We couldn't be happier with our experience and the education that our kids are receiving. I think my favorite part of Good Shepherd is the school community. My husband and I both grew up in small towns and we were looking for a community atmosphere and Good Shepherd is exactly that. We've had such wonderful experiences with other parents, the teachers and always feel welcomed. Good Shepherd is such a gem in the Twin Cities!

Bryan Clark: We could not imagine a better school for our daughter - and she agrees! The warm, personalized welcome and the feeling you are among friends and family is inescapable each time you walk into the building. The classrooms are integrated with the latest educational technologies that are seamlessly integrated into the curriculum. From the multiple family activities that are available throughout the year to the fantastic extracurricular opportunities - sports, scouting, band, chess club and summer care programs - the school is filled with teachers that care about the children. With each passing year, we remain pleased with our choice and the knowledge that our daughter is getting a wonderful education.

Emily Johnson Piper: Good Shepherd is an outstanding school. Our three oldest children attend Good Shepherd and we have been so impressed with the academics, activities, and the school community. In addition to the wonderful teachers and the amazing principal, Mr. Z., their after-school and summer care leaders are outstanding as well. From homework room and weekly chess club to field trips every day during the summer, Good Shepherd really supports our two-working-parent family. We are very happy we chose Good Shepherd for our family!

Kari Staples: Good Shepherd is near and dear to our family's hearts! Good Shepherd has been a part of my life since the early '80s when I started attending there. Now 30+ years later, I have 2 graduates of Good Shepherd as well as a student still enrolled. We love the teachers and staff. Our children have received a top notch education and were readily prepared for junior and senior high! We love the caring, family atmosphere that is felt every time we walk in the building. Highly recommended for anyone looking for Catholic Education in Golden Valley and the surrounding areas.

Marissa Weller: I went there like 5 or 6 years ago

Kevin Lind: I go thare

Anthony Urban: @ 1501 Hennepin Ave. S.

Emma Koetz: Excited to start school! Everyone was extremely helpful and answered any questions I had!

Kamilla Harris: I'm A Past Student And A Current Student. I Love This College. Everyone Is So Nice And Helpful. The Staff Is Very knowledgeable And Respectful Of My Pronouns And Respectful Of Me As A Person.

Deea Elliott: Staff and faculty is very nice, instructors are very understanding and flexible. Online classes are easy to follow. Very convenient location large campus and they a have basic needs support center open every Wednesday, they pass out food and personal hygiene items. Parking is my only problem here other than that very great school.

Laur en: bad egg teachers

Yarrow LaBeau: and now that I am on my 2nd semester, here's what I have to say.First the bad-The gym is a bit sad. There needs to be more equipment and I heard they used to offer yoga classes but since Covid they have not 😢The staff here are so supportive and it truly feels like this school puts the community in community College. My teachers and admin and other staff have been supportive while I have been dealing with a stalker/abuse situation. I feel fully supported and safe here.I also highly highly recommend the herbalism program because it's one of a kind and the teacher, Erica, is incredibly passionate and enthusiastic about the subject.

Giotto Troia: This review is only for the weight room. The music is horrible. I don't want to listen to jazz music when I'm working out. The attendant on duty said they don't have access to the music... I doubt that. The equipment is a bit old but usable and has a good variety. It's missing some machines like leg extension and some specialized benches. But overall a good selection for a free-for-students gym and convenient if you're already on campus.

Malik McDowell: Excellent place to learn and grow. Great place to update your skills, I would say upgrade!

Sevgi Sezen: Loved being there,Its a feeling to be ready for your new type of life on your career path.Just effort from your side to do homework and then you'll be able to success. My recommendations.

Leigh Miller: I both work and attend school here and I love doing both!!!!!

Capoeira Minnesota: what do users think?

Maximiliano Bezada: Capoeira is wonderful mix of martial arts, movement/acrobatics, and music. It has a rich history and tradition. Capoeira Minnesota is an excellent school in all the various aspects of the art. Students are challenged to grow in different directions, and instruction is top-notch and very well planned. Most importantly, my experience is that Capoeira Minnesota is a welcoming community of people, were everyone is supported, cared for, and celebrated in their Capoeira journey. Training with Capoeira Minnesota has been hugely beneficial for me and has led me to expand the boundaries of what I thought I could ever be able to do. Capoeira Minnesota has brought much joy into my life! I highly recommend it.

Regina Tereza: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueI have been to multiple Capoeira classes at this school and had a very positive experience each time! The instructor is very knowledgeable and attentive to his students. They also offer Portuguese classes that helped me learn more of my culture’s language.

Holly Sells: Capoeira Minnesota's is an inclusive safe place for people to explore a deeper relationship with their bodies and their potential. Professor Guerreiro is a caretaker of Capoeira and its African Brazilian roots.Capoeira Minnesota contributes to the cultural diversity of Minnesota, and is helping make the state a happier, healthier, more culturally aware place to live.

Wanda Rogers: The art of capoeira is done in a very cool eclectic environment. Went there for an event and the vibes were very giving! You should visit.

Mariadela Belle Alvarez: Capoeira Minnesota is an excellent school with quality instruction and a welcoming communal space where anyone can learn about each facet of this Afro Brazilian martial art: music, singing, percussion, Portuguese language, dance, movement, fitness, acrobatics, history & culture, and so much more. Capoeira Minnesota is a hub for one of the Twin Cities best cultural offerings.

Ruth Nk: I am so grateful that I was introduced to capoeira through this school. Instrutor Guerreiro is very passionate about the art, his students and the school and it really shows. He is an amazing teacher and has done a great job of making sure the history and artistry of Capoeira is fully understood. He also meets people at their level and helps you be able to bring out your own unique talents. You don't have to be particularly athletic or musical to be a part of capoeira. The school is supportive, welcoming, and introduces you to a global community of capoeiristas. I initially joined hoping to find something that would keep me active for my mental and physical health but stayed for the language learning, music, and community I found along with the movements. Now I know it is something that will be important to me for the rest of my life.

Ben: , and how to play music. This is a great program for both young children and adults.

Cynthia Kath: I have enjoyed watching my granddaughters grow in skills and confidence. Ira you are an excellent teacher

Josef Hofmeister: I have had a fantastic experience with Capuraginga. I have made incredible progress in acrobatics, athleticism, and music. Because of Capuraginga, I have stronger confidence, and I carry the lessons I learn there into everyday life.

Maria Silva: CapuraGinga Capoeira has become a family to me where everyone encourages one another and we all grow together. The discipline of Capoeira, the great teaching from the instructors, and the positive community have all helped me improve my Capoeira skills. More importantly, I have gained confidence that has reflected in other aspects of my life. If you like a challenge, CapuraGinga Capoeira MN is a great place to try something unique and learn about the beautiful culture of Capoeira.

Sylvia Thomas: I love doing capoeira with Capuraginga MN! I appreciate having consistent classes, and the instructors are very approachable. It has been a great space to bring together people from all different places. Capoeira is an incredible art that brings together music, movement, and philosophy. It is a great way to get and shape and reconnect with such a valuable art of empowerment.
