Up Yoga: what do users think?

David Peterson: Great classes, welcoming studio. Classes are available in the morning, over lunch, and in the evening.

Valerie Moe: I love Up Yoga in Minneapolis! Every time I come to Up, I feel like I am exactly where I need to be. 💜💜 Thank you for that! 🤗So far, I’ve taken classes led by Jes Stulc, Kelsey Potts and Lindsay Grabb — all amazing humans — and I’ve loved every class. Each instructor adds their own energy to it, and moments of thoughtful reflection. It’s amazing and I highly recommend Up Yoga to everyone!P.S. Don’t be afraid of the heat — it’s part of the experience. 🔥🧘🏼‍♀️💜

Michaela Haskin: Challenging and so much fun! I love taking classes with all of the instructors and pushing myself to flow with breath. Great prompts from the instructors, comfortable and welcoming energy to come as you are! Would recommend!

Matthew B: The community, from the moment you walk in, feels like a hug you really needed. I’ve never felt so welcome right away and it really helped me take advantage of the generous new member deal. Most importantly, the instructors are excellent, classes are a great range of intensity, and I leave feeling like I worked hard. It’s well worth a try.

Emmy W. Boyce: This is such a well-run studio. It's consistent, comfy and clean. It smells good. There are nice details everywhere that make it awesome, like spray bottles of mat cleanser so you can clean off your mat after class. They tend diligently to the lighting, circulation, sounds, fresh towels, clean floors, and it's never hit-and-miss. You can depend on it. Their heating is not the usual air-based with ducts blowing air; they use radiant panels. It's quiet and feels like the sun. There is low turnover and the teachers are all awesome.Oh and the workout. It feels amazing. This is real power yoga.

Emily Vener: This gem of a Yoga studio brought me back to in studio yoga after a long 3 years. The experience is like no other I had experienced in the past, it feels like a true community. The attention to detail given whether it's from the hands on assist cards, or the cold towel given at savasana, not to mention and above all the outstanding teachers with their wealth of wisdom...this spot is a forever gem for me.

Sara Blanch: Great Studio. Staff are so welcoming.

Sarah Pumroy: i’ve been here maybe 4 times in the last 6 months to practice yoga and each time i sink deeper in to the feeling that this is the studio for me. great instruction, challenging classes that leave you feeling whole, welcoming environment. ❤️

Jordan Cully: Love the studio! Such a welcoming space and most of the instructors are very kind and sweet! Love how many different class types they have as well!

Jacob Barnard: Wonderful place, all the instructors are friendly and helpful. They have a great variety of classes as well!

SF Mo: I love Up Yoga 😊 refreshing atmosphere, competent teachers & a kind community keep me coming back

Jason Clarke: Excellent studio with plenty of parking, variety of class options, teachers, and class start times. They even give you a cold towel with essential oils in it at the end of every class that really makes the cake. Love love love Up Yoga 😁

Dave Potts: I'm not really a yogi and I really enjoy the classes I attend. Everyone! is so very kind and welcoming. There's always new, different, incredible experiences to be had.

Jordan: Love this place and this community!

Charlie Murray: We have enjoyed years of practicing yoga at Up Yoga. Lindsay, Kelsey, Evan, Ellie and the whole team at Up Yoga are welcoming to anyone and everyone. The warmth of the studio envelopes you to grow your personal practice in a clean environment with loads of valuable extension opportunities in the class and after class offerings. We look forward to practicing at the studio for the community they have built and maintained at Up Yoga.

Brian LaFrance: Been going to Up Yoga for over a year. Great instructors and community! I am learning a lot and am WAY more flexible now!

Molly Ellis: My experience for the past month of membership has been great so far. I like the variety of classes offered, some harder/hotter than others but always mentally relaxing. The amenities in the space are perfect for going to class before or after work with showers and toiletries etc.

Angela Bortel: A very welcoming studio with a variety of classes and special events. The yin and pin was quite good.

Erin Doth: Love Up!!

Minneapolis Yoga: what do users think?

Miki Griffin: Absolutely the best studio in town!

Jason Barba: Best yoga studio in the Twin Cities!

Kathy Farzanegan: As a long-term practitioner of Hot Yoga and new resident of Mpls, finding a great studio was critical to me. Mpls Yoga is one of the best studios I have ever been to. Every teacher is highly skilled and brings expertise and wisdom to each class. The warm, welcoming atmosphere is wonderful - as is the beautiful facility. I feel lucky every day I practice in this wonderful studio.

S H: Not only do I love what Mpls Yoga does for my body and mind, I love the community of people that generates such an awesome vibe

Ann Hustad: Wonderful clean safe studio with amazing instructors! Love mpls yoga!

Lisa Banks: I have been to a lot of yoga studios, but Minneapolis Yoga is my favorite to visit. It's always on the top of my list of things to do in the cities. The atmosphere, excellent instructors, and overall feeling of the studio is amazing!

Kristen C: This yoga has changed my life and now I cannot, will not live without it. Thank you to Melissa and all the teachers for creating a welcoming environment and community for all.

Shannon OHearn: My wife and I do a lot of traveling to various states and always make time to do hot yoga. Minneapolis Yoga is by far the best. The instructors are awesome and the studio has a warm and inviting vibe.

Sara Bromeland: I joined this studio in March of 2020, although I’ve practiced this style of yoga for 18 years. The 90 minute original hot yoga classes work wonders for mind and body. The community is welcoming to all and the instructors are exceptional.

AMY DAHLIN: The instructors at Mpls Yoga are great! Knowledgeable and encouraging, they have helped me so much in the last 7 months! This is a really welcoming and supportive community.

Kristine Stanski: I have been connected to the studio for 20 years. People who go there always talk about what an incredible community it is. I love all the classes for different reasons. Bending my spine in four directions on the regular has changed my life in profound and beautiful ways. The inferno Pilates class is so fun and full body. All are welcome, hope to see you there!

Steve Borchardt: Discovered this studio last spring and it has quickly become one of my favorite things about the Twin Cities. I had been going to a very well known corporate yoga studio for a number of years and had found myself frustrated with the infrequency that the original 26 and 2 hot yoga series was offered - and then only in an abbreviated 60 minute form - so finding out about Minneapolis Yoga was a revelation for me. The full 90 minute 26 and 2 series is offered multiple times daily, making it far easier to commit to a regular practice than at other studios. The studio space itself is calm and does not feature distracting music during the classes, and the overhead lighting is very soft and not at all glaring, making it possible to really reap the mediative benefits of this practice. Most importantly, the level of instruction here is second to none. The instructors are all incredibly knowledgeable and offer instructions that will ensure you will grow in your practice as you continue to show up. The vibe and community of this studio is very warm and welcoming as well. This place is a gem.

Amy Holmstrom Clay: The teachers are fabulous! It is wonderful community to which to belong!

Yess Yoga: what do users think?

Liz Campbell: I first discovered Yess at the Mill City Famers Market summer market yoga several years ago. I immediately knew that the classes offered by Yess felt different than that offered by any of the other studios that summer, and different from any classes I had ever attended. Later when I decided to pursue my teacher training, I knew exactly where I hoped to study. Completing my 200-hr teacher training with Yess was as such an incredible experience, and only grew my appreciation for the studio and their wonderful instructors even more. I’m SO grateful to have Yess in our community 🧡.

Callie .Lentz: I started taking classes here about a month ago and absolutely love it! Every teacher is so welcoming and the studio is gorgeous. Very accommodating to different bodies and skill levels!

Marissa Torres-Bertram: Yess Yoga does an amazing job of creating an inclusive, wonderful, and inviting space. I love the variety of classes they offer and every teacher who I have taken class with has been amazing. After chatting with Lucia, I decided to do my 300hr. YTT with the studio and do not regret it. It has been such a great experience and I cannot recommend the studio, the space, and the teachers enough. Everyone is so knowledgable, welcoming and supportive and I am so grateful to be a part of such a kind community.

Mariah H: I cannot recommend Yess Yoga highly enough. I've been attending yoga here for over 2 years and love so much about this studio. It's the first place I've done yoga that really genuinely feels like a community and a welcoming place for all who want to explore and practice yoga. The space is beautiful and has an inviting warmth to it, and all the teachers have a similar welcoming, kind, supportive energy. I've really felt so supported and my yoga practice and personal growth have benefited greatly from being a part of this community.

Annie A.: Yess Yoga is the foundation of my feelings of home in Minneapolis -- I love teaching and practicing here. Lucia and this studio encourage you to be your whole self, always. I've walked in the doors with eyes full of tears and other days with belly-aching laughter. I've practiced yoga here in states of grief, joy, loneliness, and inspiration. In these gem-stone lined studio walls, I've grown as a teacher, a student, a friend, and learned what it means to be a part of an authentically loving and generous community. This studio shares movement practices that are responsive to the needs of Minneapolis residents and to the state of the world. We practice yoga and somatics for the purpose of embodying true connection, belonging, and body sovereignty, and for uplifting those essential elements of life everywhere we go.

Kristin Sievers: If you're looking for a supportive, magical, and heart-centered community, Yess Yoga is that and SO much more! As as student, teacher, and friend to this community, I can say with certainty, it has changed my life. From the feeling you get walking into the beautiful studio to the warm welcome of each teacher and their unique class, there's nothing better than Yess! There aren't enough words to describe it, I urge & welcome you to FEEL it for yourself.

Ashley Theissen: I love Yess Yoga! The studio itself is beautiful, the instructors are intuitive and welcoming, and the community is real. I feel grounded when I walk in the door. The weekly class schedule has something for everyone whether you are feeling high or low energy, or simply need a place to safely connect to your body.I moved to Minneapolis last year, and a huge part of why I now feel at home here is because of Yess. The first time I visited the studio, I saw the one million plants and the "This is a Body Positive Space" poster in the bathroom and I knew I was in the right place.I have made friends and learned a lot through classes and training weekends, and now, as an instructor, my feeling of connection to the beautiful community at Yess has deepened even more. Thank you, Lucia, for creating such a unique place to practice and teach.

Vanessa Watkins-Morris: This studio is amazing!! I received my 200 YT training here and it was such a magical and life changing experience. I also come to multiple classes and every teacher has their own styles that are creative and authentic.

Keith Kostman: From the minute that I walked into the studio, I knew that I was in the right place. Yess Yoga changed my life. I’ve been a student here and a teacher. In one word, I can sum it up, community. You feel at home. The teachers are amazing. The space is amazing. There is something for everybody here. All are welcomed and all are loved. I can’t recommend this place enough.

J: Best yoga studio I’ve ever been to. Learned so much from their classes over the years! Lucia is an angel, and all the teachers are too. Incredible community here.

Rebecca Woodall: We were only in Whittier, Minneapolis for a few days but I was able to drop in to Lucia's Aquarius class. Lucia was so welcoming. The studio is a beautiful space and I loved her teaching style. If only we lived closer.

Elizabeth Mullen: Welcoming, inclusive, positive-space/energy are just a few ways to describe Yess Yoga. The community has a great vibe and the space is beautiful. The unique aspect of Yess is how the teachers present their instruction as suggestions, where your free movement is encouraged. This approach allows you to make the most of your practice, no matter what your body feels that day or your skill level.

Liz Flavin: From the moment I first walked into Yess Yoga, I could sense there was something special about the studio. In addition to the stunning aesthetic, the heart-centered staff and the community of yogi's all contribute to an experience that is welcoming, nurturing and inclusive. I highly recommend Yess Yoga and truly believe there is something for everyone within it's walls.

Ann Asche: More than a yoga practice, Yess Yoga is an inclusive space, a warm and welcome environment to come home to. It's about community, authenticity, acceptance, and coming to your mat as you are. I appreciate the varied yoga classes and the unique styles of each instructor. The space itself is beautiful, with welcoming plants, subtle earthy scents, and big windows spilling natural light. I dearly love this studio and the whole community in it!

JP Peanasky: Yess Yoga is such a beautiful space. Each teacher brings a personal and unique lens to their classes, while respecting the roots of Yoga. From the first day I stepped into the studio I was welcomed with open arms into a supportive community. I would highly recommend Yess to anyone looking for a studio to practice at or looking for a teacher training to deepen their practice.

Mary Noble: Yess offers an absolutely joyous, and grounding experience in which to practice Yoga!! From the moment one walks into the space, one is greeted with warmth, love, and a calming ambiance,The air smells gently of soothing incense; the studios brims with plants, and depending on the hour, there is candlelight signaling a quiet reverence. Each teacher brings their own impressive body of work, and allows for all different styles to be practiced. Lucia has created a safe and loving place to be yourself, and to be in community with all. My absolute favorite place to practice!!

Kelly Hookham: have had on me. Thank you!

Phillip Trebatoski: The staff, the atmosphere, and the energy at Yess Yoga are second to none in the metro area. If you’re looking for a beautiful, clean yoga studio that tends to the mind, body and spirit, this is the place.

Yoga Sanctuary: what do users think?

bill ehrich: Tracy was amazing today.

nacole kaai: I came to Yoga Sanctuary through a flyer about their teacher training. I'm now participating in their training and have taken numerous yoga classes and workshops. Yoga Sanctuary is special as you can come as you are. There is a class for everyone including on zoom. I've really grown in my practice and it has been incredible to have found this community.

Shalon Johnson: I took the Holistic Hatha Yoga with Laura and had a really great experience. It was a really great restorative class. Laura was very knowledgeable and friendly. She offered a lot of instructions as well as modifications. The class was a slower pace that focused in on noticing how the body felt and moved to each poses. It allowed me to focus in on my body to where I had tension or stagnant energy. Really great class! I would highly recommend. I left feeling so much more grounded.

Rita: Highly recommend! This is a holistic yoga experience that strengthens me both emotionally and physically. The teachers are fantastic and all are dedicated to creating a personable environment that is welcoming to all. I've practiced yoga here for about 10 years, and it far surpasses all other studios I've been to. Yoga Sanctuary grounds me and helps me have a calm, peaceful approach to all challenges of life.

Mel Schneider: Yoga Sanctuary is the only yoga studio where I ever felt at home. They take community very seriously, and it shows. I felt like I belonged to a community, a family, a practice. I felt cared for as a person, not just a customer. I love how holistic their classes and offerings are--they know that being healthy is about more than just exercise, it's about nutrition, mindfulness, connection, belonging, and so much more. If you're looking for a place to grow in community, Yoga Sanctuary is a great place to do so.

Danielle Aba-Onu: Warm, inviting studio environment. Classes that consider supporting and moving the whole person inside and out. Friendly community and instructors. So grateful for this sanctuary to find grounding, balance, and sense of community.

Krista Lindgren: I have thoroughly enjoyed my multiple years of practice at the yoga sanctuary. I would recommend this studio to anyone. The teachers are very knowledgeable and the yoga community is very welcoming. Yoga Sanctuary has a variety of classes to choose from such as Vinyasa, Hatha, Restorative, and so on. The teachers offer modifications throughout the class to make the poses easier or harder so that you can tailor your practice to your needs.

Connor McDougal: Beautiful studio!

Ben Stewart: Yoga Sanctuary is a wonderful yoga studio that offers a wide range of class types and an environment that is welcoming for all. Over the summer they also offer classes in the rose garden which is a fun alternative to being in studio!

Nordeast Yoga: what do users think?

Michael Millios: Amazing space with welcoming people. I loved the 5pm gentle practice. It was the right amount of movement, meditation, and rest. It’s tricky to find so give yourself a few extra minutes. But plenty of parking on the street.

Laurie Schlosser: I LOVE Nordeast yoga!!! Annie is an authentic instructor with years of experience. I leave her classes leaving refreshed and relaxed. She makes classes accessible to all bodies and makes room for different levels of experience.

Nell Benson: I've been practicing yoga for many years across several studios and athletic clubs, and Nordeast Yoga is hands down the most fabulous and authentic yoga option in the city. Nordeast has something for everyone. The owner Annie offers a wide variety of classes, all of which can be modified to broad levels of experience. Every class is uniquely catered to the needs of the group on any given day, and you will leave feeling a million times better than when you arrived. Classes range from restorative, to challenging flow, to Ashtanga, and everything in between. You will breathe, listen to great music, enjoy the awesome community of students, learn about origins of poses and yoga in general, shake off your stress, and have a blast. This is not your average gym/yoga routine situation, its really special. Don't miss out on this gem!

Rebecca Keyes: A beautiful and welcoming space.

Kenda Flaks: Dropped in for a morning Ashtanga practice. Friendly and welcoming teacher.

Krastina Petrova: Very nice atmosphere and great teacher!

Keely King: Deep stretching that is one of my faves classes of all time! Really cool place to get to know a lot of local Yogi's. The teachers here are great lots of guest instructors you can very affordable come 2 experience their particular specialty and style of teaching.

Rebekah West: I have been going to Annies classes for almost 8 years now and honestly don't know where I would be without her! Whether she knows it or not, Annie has helped me get through a lot of challenges in this life. No matter how tired I am, I am always so glad when I make myself get off my butt and on my mat. She gives you the tools and guidance that you need but the freedom to make every class your own. She tells stories, makes the best playlists, is uplifting, calming and energizing at the same time, funny...she is a rockstar in the yoga world and is constantly seeking ways to grow and expand her own knowledge so that we can benefit. The studio that she started in Northeast is so welcoming and has grown to include a lot of other really amazing teachers. This is the yoga studio for everybody!

Nick Augustin: I am not any kind of yoga veteran, as I only started dabbling about 12 months ago at my former employer, but I have become addicted to this studio and it's Tuesday evening class with Christy. It's a great space in a great location. The atmosphere invites one to push your personal edges while allowing for failure... if that makes sense.

Heather Alderink: Annie Hansen is amazing and the studio is above Erte so post yoga wine is a double bonus.

Patti Pinkerton: I have been going for a short while since i moved to this side of the river. All i can say is, there is no other studio that can live up to Annies. Today i had to tell her that i had an uncontrollable smile on my face for the last 1/2 hour of her class. Seriously, and it was a grey monday ! she is amazing, as well as the people who come to her studio. It is the old "law of attraction" concept....she makes it very special.

Frances Jarmick: A comfortable venue for all levels of yogis! Before starting at Nordeast Yoga last year I had dabbled in yoga and Pilates, but was not sold. After a class or two at Nordeast I realized what I had been missing by not attending classes from an experienced and committed teacher. One of only a few studios that offers astanga yoga, I was comfortable starting as a beginner and have progressed in my practice under Annie's incredible instruction. The balance of strength, flexibility, mindfulness, and meditation practice in every class makes this studio unlike any other. Bravo!

KAREN MACMURDO: First, the studio space is perfect...warm, with wood floors and some exposed brick. The natural light that floods the studio during the day makes the space incredibly inviting. More importantly, Annie Hanson is an incredible yoga instructor. Her ability to seamlessly teach brand new yogis and very experienced yogis in the same class is remarkable. Her classes have just the perfect amount of physical challenge, a touch of historical and spiritual teaching, and fun. You will smile or laugh at least once during each practice! All the classes are truly open and accessible to newbies and across the spectrum to the most experienced.

Aleksandar Nedich: Nordeast Yoga is a wonderfully charming place filled with great style and ambiance. It is a blessing to have a new refreshing yoga studio to help boost and support the growing need for Yoga in Northeast Minneapolis. Annie is a wonderful instructor, Person and friend. Im so proud of her. go visit Nordeast Yoga and you will be sold. Big thumbs up!

Becki Persons: Wonderful studio with great caring people. I am healthier for going here. Truly a center for wellness.

Ms. Ruby Blu: Best yoga studio in the Twin Cities hands down. Locally owned, real care and attention to detail. Amazing teachers. Love this place! Been going here for years. Get involved!

Daniel Countryman: Big River Yoga is a fantastic studio. The facilities are very clean, all staff members are incredibly accommodating and the instructors are super attentive. Different variations of poses are offered to cater to people in all of the different stages of their yoga journey. Don’t expect to lift weights or have pop music playing in the background throughout class as you might have experienced at other studios. Big River Yoga offers classes that are true to the art of yoga by focusing not only on the movement, breath and poses but by also incorporating the mental and spiritual aspects of the practice in an easily digestible manner. This is undoubtedly my favorite studio that I have ever attended.

Cally Ingebritson: Big River Yoga has incredible instructors and a lovely studio space. I used to go to BYG when I lived in the Cities, it's such a lovely studio. Wish there was a place like this near where I live now!

Leah Honsey: Great atmosphere for all including beginners. Nice variety of classes and class times. I've also enjoyed the variety of teaching styles. Walk-ins welcome, but the app for reserving class is very user friendly too.

Lillian Medhus: I love Big River! I tried out a lot of studios, but none made me feel as comfortable and at home being new to yoga as Big River does. The instructors are all great- they focus on proper alignment to really learn to do yoga safely.

Beth B: Love everything about this yoga studio!

Sara Hansen: Stepping outside of my box and trying to do something for my mental health. Could NOT have found a better place to do so.

Conor Hesch: Nique’s Sunday class was great! She is patient with beginners and passionate about peoples’ experience. That was my impression and it was my first time taking the class.

Emilio Trevino: I work in the travel industry and have visited/attended many yoga classes and hands down Yoga Sol MPLS is by far my MY TOP YOGA STUDIO!!! 😍😍😍It’s local, pay what you can and all about community!!! I can always count on great classes, down to earth atmosphere, and a fun vibe.Always feel welcomed from the moment I walk into the studio and feel at home! JUDGEMENT FREE ZONE! ❤️😍❤️😍Excited to see the studio evolving into a co-op and can’t wait to become a member. Yoga for all 🌈🌈🌈

Lexi G: I went for the first time last week! It was amazing. My first ever yoga class. The instructor was very humble and welcoming. It's a donation based studio which is awesome! I loved the vibes and people that walked in the door. Helpful, clean, and peaceful!

Britt Paulson: I've been attending classes off and on since they opened 8 years ago and it's my favorite yoga studio! Great location, calming atmosphere, and every instructor I've met is welcoming and offers adjustments for your level. I recommend Yoga Sol to anyone - the donation/ pay what you can model is so helpful- and check out their live streaming classes as well!

Alice H: I've been going to Yoga Sol for over 5 years now and I love this donation-based studio. Completely judgement-free environment, teachers who are caring and really know yoga, and a beautiful studio. They even support small, local businesses by including their products in their studio retail. The donation policy allowed me to give what I could when funds were tight and pay the full amount once I was hired full time. I love Yoga Sol and it will continue to be my yoga home.

Rachel Balk: Yoga Sol does a great job of providing a variety of classes at different times and they are really good at leading us through all the moves while demonstrating at the same time. They also give harder and easier versions of moves to accommodate a variety of students. They’ve made it really enjoyable!

Jessica Reyes: I love Yoga Sol and their supportive community! They have transitioned seamlessly online with the same quality and passion for health and healing!

Madison Olmsted: Yoga Sol is my home studio! I love the variety of classes, and there are so many amazing instructors. The livestream classes have been a great experience with seamless tech as well I love Yoga Sol and I love supporting this local small business instead of national yoga corporations.

Emma Bielenberg: during the stay at home order that caused many studios to shut their doors. Especially love the sculpt and candlelight classes. Would highlight recommend and plan to frequent this studio when it re opens for in person classes!

Kelsey Gavnik: You won't find a more welcoming, encouraging, cheery community than the one at Yoga Sol. If you want to leave your practice feeling energized, supported and ready for the next class already, this is the spot for you!

Kayla Buboltz: Yoga Sol is such a safe and accessible place for anyone interested in yoga. The instructors are so kind and welcoming. The range of classes from restorative yoga to a high-intensity yoga sculpt provide a great variety. Some yoga studios can be intimidating, but this one truly isn't. Come as you are, no matter you're level, and you'll be accepted and respected here. The pay-what-you-can style is so great for anyone who can't afford or commit to a membership most studios require. Yoga Sol has also done a GREAT job throughout COVID-19, maintaining a sense of community and providing Zoom classes to keep us all connected, flowing and in shape. So thankful for this place!

Claire Rydeen: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityThe first yoga studio I tried when I moved to Northeast Minneapolis 7 years ago!

Brittany McGrogan: This place is home away from home. The second you walk into the door you feel this sense of relief and you are welcomed by amazing teachers.

Hunter Hill: I had an amazing experience at the Friday night Candlelight Flow! The space is very intimate and relaxing. Our instructor, Amanda, was very encouraging, sociable, and exuded a lot of positive energy in the room. The candles were a nice touch as well. All in all, one of the best yoga experiences I have had. I definitely recommend it, and hope to go back soon!
