Paddle North: what do users think?

trout60 60: I met the owners of this new franchise at the Mn. State Fair. Very impressed with the knowledge and friendly staff and the high quality outdoor portable hammocks that were customed made for Paddle North. Same manufactor of Enos for a quarter of the price, they were perfect gifts for the outdoor enthusiasts. Lifetime gifts not throwaways.

Roger Goff III: Moved to California 8 years ago and love to get clothes that show off where I'm from and to support local business. I love their selection and that their logo, a loon, goes great with anything. Been here twice now, and anytime I'm back at MOA I'll swing by for sure.

Aiden Berndt: Good service and free stickers!

Melanie Cole: Sarah was amazing!!! So kind and patient answering all of our questions to find the best deals and products to fit our family of five. So grateful and excited to get our new Paddle North kayak and dock in the lake as soon as the weather turns!!!

Jacob Steinberg: Cool stuff. I’d buy it all if I could.

Reese Blaskowski: Was happy to get an inflatable SUP here, good prices and always happy to shop local!

Jalen Seifriz: Very peaceful and great customer service!

Scotty Stoltz: Sarah is awesome!!! Great store!

Michael Lynne's Tennis Shop: what do users think?

Barry Pearson: Excellent employees and great selection!

amanda dvorak: We had no idea what we were looking for or even the right questions to ask when looking for a Tennis racket for my son. The store was very busy, but these guys made us feel like we could have all the time needed to decide. Wow! I can’t wait to tell my friends about this place.

Matt Wilkie: Awesome store and great staff. Very helpful and accommodating

Pam Ludford Finnerty: As a tennis player, I find that I need to try on a lot of tennis shoes before I find the right mix of comfort and durability. And with racquets, it's invaluable to be able to get my hands on a few when I'm looking for a new one so I can find one that feels right for me.Enter Michael Lynne's tennis shop. They have an almost unending stock of racquets and court shoes, including some past-year racquets at great prices. We are so fortunate to have a local store where one can go and try so many shoes and racquets in person. Their staff have great knowledge about the products and what niche they are targeted at. Their prices are competitive with online and big box retailers, but their selection is much better. If you haven't given this locally-owned gem of a store a visit, do yourself a favor and stop in!

Paul Bennett: Michael Lynne’s tennis shop is my go to place for all racquet sports. People are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful every time I go there.

Chad S: Visited the store with a busy 6 year old. The staff was wonderful and very understanding. Pricing was great and will definitely stop in every time I’m in Minneapolis.

Jodey Klein: Wide selection. Good prices. My husband bought shoes and it took less than 15 minutes.

Hi Tempo SnowSports & WaterSports: what do users think?

Adam Lushanko: Highly recommend the Foot Lab Katlyn explains everything well and knows her stuff got Orthopedic for my running shoes first run night and Day

Michael Eaton: spent plenty of non-rushed, non-pressured time helping me find something that fit well in my price range.

Matt Lindholm: HiTempo has always been a good place for skiing and snowboarding gear. They actually take the time to fit you into something that works. Like any shop, they might try to upsell you. Make sure to ask for more affordable options that are comparable. The times something didn't turn out right, they have always been quick to make it right. They have a good selection for gear and even better staff who can help you find the right stuff. You will have to ask about clearance racks, as those tend to be hidden.

Jeanette Goserud: Excellent customer service. Great support for youth skiers. Highly recommend!

Cody: Had an original issue with a boot molding that they dealt with very kindly and professionally until I was satisfied with the result. Very appreciative and impressed by their communication.

Cole A: Excellent service and knowledgeable staff! We went in during a sale looking for downhill ski boots and were treated quite quickly even though it was busy. The man helping us was very friendly and didn’t pressure us to buy anything or to pick a certain brand. They truly just want to find the best boot for you and do what they can to give you a good experience.

Vanessa Storay: It's connected with the foot lab. It's a great place for all snow gear and equipment that you need, an awesome place & service,

Cheryl R: This is my go to place for skis and boots. Bill is always amazing in making sure my family and I get set up with the best gear for each of us. Love that he takes time explaining what he is looking for in fit, asks great questions to assure right skis/boots for given purpose, and shares knowledge about equipment. I learn so much from him. Will again be getting orthotics and canting in footlab with Brad. Brad is incredibly skilled and knowledgeable. I have heard great things about the other person in footlab too. hi tempo is the best!

JT Lyons: Have purchased 6 small boats from them over the years. The always do a good job on setup and delivery. Helpful with whatever we need.

D A: Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Helped me find all the parts I needed to fix a secondhand outback. Great deal on power pole micro as well. Will definitely be back

Margaret Sipola: I’ve been getting my skis from Hi Tempo since I was a little kid. I recently bought a new pair this ski season and a pair of ski boots. The employees are very helpful on getting you outfitted with everything you need. I used the Footlab for custom insoles, the Footlab people are very knowledgeable and good at explaining what everything should feel like. If something isn’t right with insole you can come back and have them correct it. I learned so much working with them! A nice bonus is the adorable shop dog who’s there to greet you!

Rick Hjelm: These people know their products! I worked with Greg who spent a great deal of time with me showing me skis and boots. I felt very comfortable with my purchase and strongly recommend the store.

Jon Fleck: Brad tweaked an orthotic he made years ago for me. He knew exactly what he was doing and it made all the difference! I highly recommend Hi Tempo and footlab! Brad’s expertise made my skiing goal achievable this year! Thank You!!!

Ryan Foley: Great Prices and Excellent Boot FitterI went here because I have two different width feet that are very difficult to get a comfortable ski boot. The team was great to work with. I involved the boot fitter Brad in my ski boot selection due to the challenges with my feet. He measured me, looked at my feet for 20 seconds and said "Nordica Cruise". He molded up insoles an punched out the boot. He's amazing at what he does and a great guy. I've never had boots that fit decent so this purchase was a game changer. With a sale the shop had going on the boots were much cheaper than online prices and the half price deal for insoles when you buy boots through the shop is a steal! I should have done this 10 years ago!

Alex Nicholas: Best experience I’ve had at a retail store in a long time. Jack was our sales person, best in the business. Fit me and my kids for skis. Wonderful attitude and commitment to make the right recommendation. Highly recommend paying for the value you get at Hi Tempo.

Paddle Share Station: what do users think?

Andrea Rodriguez: What a great setup!! Very easy to use, great instructions. Very affordable too. We will be using this again and doing other routes!

Emil: This day will forever stay in my memory with my friends that took me there, kayaking route was magical and staff helpful.

Tony Brown: Friends and I rented some kayaks and had a blast just cruising down the river. Some things to note: it's not tubing, you have to paddle... Not aggressively or anything there's time to chill and explore if you want but you definitely can't just let the river take you down if you want to make it to the end in time. Also, you pick up from a locker but when you drop off it's humans waiting for you so, don't go over your time and make them wait for ya.

Paige E.: Such a good time! So easy to use and reasonably priced. They have thee best customer service too!!

Paul B: Amazing experience as the River is often empty. It is a little bit of a hassle to get your kayak down to the river but much less than brining your own. Pro tip: You can scooter your way back to your car stopping at Psycho Suzi’s for a fun date.

matt: Had a great time

Nicholas “Nick” Berry: First time doing the Paddle Share. There is public parking at the park and the Kayak Paddle Share is a short walk down the trail. There’s also a Nice Ride bicycle rack at the park which was how we got back from Boom Island Park. There’s a Nice Ride bicycle rack where we were able to rent bikes to ride back to our car.At North Mississippi Regional Park where the Paddle Share Station is, there are signs from the parking lot. Once there, use the code you received in after you reserved a kayak to access all rental equipment. From there, it’s a short carry down a a sandy embankment to the river. It was a quick trip down the Mississippi to Boom Island Park. You are allotted 3 hours, but it really only takes about 1-hour so enjoy paddle and take in the beautiful scenery with the Minneapolis skyline down river.

mike chilson: Super cool idea. Really easy to use.

Hallie Leonard: My boyfriend and I had the best time hanging with Jeff as he guided us down the Mississippi. As an introverted and shy person I was worried that it would be awkward hanging with a stranger for so long but Jeff made it so easy. He was also incredibly knowledgeable about the history and wildlife of the river so we learned so many interesting things. I would HIGHLY recommend this experience. Thanks Jeff and Paddleshare!!!!

pete murphy: Jeff took us down the Mississippi when the river was closed to unguided tours because we had traveled to Minneapolis from Rhode Island for my birthday. WE HAD THE BEST TIME. He was so knowledgable about the history of the area, the plants and animals, and the best local breweries. The owner of the company really went above and beyond for us. 6 star experience. Thanks guys!

Jesse Langanki: Great service, but cost is too high considering no transportation is included. Otherwise, would do this every weekend.

Joshua C. Alomar: Kayaks were great. Prices are great. Renting was easy.

Brian Niebler: My wife and I tried out paddleshare this summer. it was actually a lot of fun and way more affordable than renting kayaks at lake calhoun. You can rent online and paddle all the way down to Boom Island to drop them off. We then rented a bike from niceride station and rode back up to our car. Highly recommended if you're looking for an outdoor activity.

Pioneer Midwest: what do users think?

Casey Palmer: Purchased a Northstar canoe and the staff was extremely helpful and very nice. Definitely would recommend for canoe purchases.

Atsuko Ohtake: Vert impressed with attentive, friendly and expedient service by Matt Liebsch, owner. He set me up with an incredible set of skate skis, going above and beyond all expectations!!!!

Cathy Wright: These guys are awesome! I needed a ski bag shipped to Anchorage that I couldn't find anywhere else, and I needed it soon. Other retailers were going to wait a week to put it in the mail. So I called Pioneer Midwest and they answered the phone promptly and said they might be able to get it in the mail before post office closed in 30 min. I submitted the order and they did indeed get it in the mail that same day. Great service.

Luke Schulz: Easiest 5 star I’ve ever given. The team here is incredibly knowledgeable and will talk with you at the level you’re at. Always felt respected and valued. They take the time to find the skis and boots that are right for you and your goals. I came here with my family based on their reputation and I’ll never go anywhere else for anything Nordic related after this experience.

Deborah Ralston-Wolfe: Incredibly helpful staff. We were in a bit of a bind, and the owner and staff went above and beyond to help us out. Prompt, helpful, and kind--you can tell this store is owned and run by nordic skiers! As an added bonus, they carry everything you can imagine and their prices always seem to be just a touch lower than anywhere else. Awesome!

Marc Asch: Great selection of outdoor equipment. Really helpful on cross country ski outfitting. Easy returns and exchanges.

Shawn Levendusky: Been shopping at this place for probably a couple of decades now, both downhill skis, and now Nordic skis. Top-notch service, exactly what you would expect from a locally owned shop!

Paul Domer: I’m a total newbie to XC skiing, so I was really looking for some help with all the choices while staying within a budget. I learned a lot and am very happy with my purchases. Really friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Blanca Fox: Employee that attended us was very nice and helpful helped us find boots, skis and poles for my daughter definitely recommend Pioneer Midwest!

Scott Millington: Really excellent customer service. Extremely reachable and helpful via phone and email. Went the extra mile to help me out.

Jenny Ness: When my son joined the Nordic ski team, I had no idea what to expect. His coaches suggested Pioneer Midwest to get outfitted. They did an excellent job explaining everything to both of us, and when his feet grew an entire size before the first workout on skis, they were able to swap those unworn boots no questions asked. This year, we sold a few things back during their annual ski swap, and I was shocked they only take a 5% cut of the sale price. We now have a large credit we can spend on some new stuff. Every time we go in, we are greeted with plenty of knowledge staff. They will continue to get our business year after year.

Aaron: Great company. First experience with them was during their 2023 Ski Swap event. Despite the event being very hectic I was able to find multiple employees willing to take time to help me. Purchased a great skate ski setup based on their advice. I will go back again to them for my future ski needs.

Brett Marquard: Easily the best nordic shop in Minnesota. Brought in skis I bought a year ago + pairs from 'another' store and they helped swap bindings with no wait.

Maureen Mulvaney Gilbertson: My husband and I visited Pioneer Midwest to get fitted for cross country skis as we are getting into the sport. The staff, especially Jim, was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, guiding us through the selection process. They provided valuable insights into the sport while creating a customized solution for our experience levels, budget, and physicality. The prices were fair and the experience was positive and educational. We now feel well-equipped and excited to delve into cross country skiing. Highly recommend for anyone looking to get into the sport!

Jake Gilbertson: New to the sport and found Pioneer Midwest on Google and was also referred to by someone. Hands down, one of the most incredible buying experiences I’ve ever had. Jim and Max helped us out and they both were so friendly and knowledgeable about the sport. They listened to our budget and desires for the sport and lead us down the perfect path of getting what we needed. My wife and I left the store even more excited to start XC skiing than when we entered the store. Bring on the snow!

Yannick Roussy: Take time to respond to you're question, awesome service.

Wai Nani Surf Paddle & Pedal: what do users think?

TripOutside .com: While visiting Wayzata Beach with friends, we decided to rent an SUP from Wai Nani to explore the picturesque Lake Minnetonka shoreline. Their location is so convenient, right at the beach! The SUP was almost brand new and very stable, perfect for paddling the lake. After being thoroughly impressed with their SUPs, we discovered that Wai Nani also offers a selection of top-quality Trek hybrid bikes for rent. A few days later, we returned to explore the legendary Rail Trail path that starts from Wayzata. This scenic rails-to-trails path weaves through wetlands, woodlands and charming towns nestled to the west of Wayzata. The bikes were fantastic - perfectly maintained and just right for the journey. We pedaled for 7 miles, soaking in the beautiful scenery. The friendly and helpful Wai Nani team made our biking experience even more enjoyable, providing us with valuable insights and tips along the way.

Sara Backowski: Absolutely loved SUP Yoga. It felt like I was on vacation yet I was in my backyard so to speak! I SUP regularly on the lake but have never done yoga on my board before. It was fun to try something new. Would 100% recommend.

Adam Joules: Dope.

Karen Schilling: Positive:Communication,QualityGreat time SUPing on relatively quiet Long Lake. Everything went smootly and staff was helpful and nice.

Nate Leding: Positive:Quality

T J: Great experience. Super easy to reserve online. Had to change the reservation because of severe weather outlook. You can’t change a reservation online, but just call and they’ll take care of it. Had a great time.

SL88: Great Service, Gear is in great condition, All around enjoyable experience!

MarissaW3: watched by the staff, the boards were high quality, easy parking, and we were offered protein bars as a snack! Definitely will rent here again!

S Hegman: I really enjoyed paddle boarding, my only complaint is the weeds and motor crafts in the area. Also, plan on arriving 10-15 minutes early to sign waivers, get your gear, and get a short lesson.

Quyen Lam: The workers are so sweet and helpful

Grace Scott: Top of the line boards, Carly was great to work with, understood our groups needs, easy to communicate with and friendly. The entrance to the lake from where we picked the boards up was easy. Fair price of $20 hour and easy to book online. I will definitely book with them again.
