Good idea to visit both this location and Parlour in the basement if you are making a trip to the cities for either restaurant.Parking: Parking was very easy for us on a Tuesday as a spot was open in the paid parking lot 20 feet from door, on a weekend it may be tougher as this area has more limited parking and is very busy on weekends. Likely valet would be the way to go on the weekend and visit both Borough and Parlour to get full value!

It strikes a nice balance of being classic and fresh. With the bonus of having stellar food and service. Somehow I still think it's underrated with all the restaurant opening up. Jonathan Robinson: Absolutely phenomenal food and experience. Our server Louis was beyond amazing as he took the time to explain the dishes, cocktails, and so much more. Hat's off!Speaking of dishes, the bison tartare was increibly good, but we were blown away by the flavor of the duck ragu in the Torchietti. We had it made gluten-free to accommodate my wife's dietary needs, and the pasta was still delicious! We didn't stop there, adding an order of the pork chop for me and Alaskan halibut for my wife. The flavor profile on the pork chop dish was insanely big, bold, and wonderful. It was such a contrast to the halibut, which was also wonderful but much more delicate. Both were great. We were stuffed. There was no room for dessert, but since we had let it be known we were out celebrating a special event, we were not to leave without a wonderful little celebration treat. It was much appreciated!Our seating was at the Chef's Counter, and it couldn't have been more perfect. It gave us witness to all the incredible work going on in the kitchen as well as all the dishes that were getting prepped. TheDietary restrictions: My wife is gluten-free, and not only do they accommodate this with some of their dishes they go above and beyond to communicate between the waiter and kitchen about the dietary needs. This shows up starting with bread basket modifications, moves into extra tasting bites supplied to us from the head chef, and follows through to all our entrees and special desserts. Jalen Bell: So when I walked past this place, my first thought was Gordon Ramsey’s famous tv show. Turns out they’re a local business, no affiliation. The burger was absolutely fantastic! Well seasoned, temperature just right, and it had bacon and tangy sauce that was similar to 1000 island. Bonus: They branded the bun with the logo which I thought was cool. Ordered cheesecake for dessert. A bit pricy but well worth the quality of food. I’d def eat here again when I’m in town.

Heather Kaiser: This is one of our special occasion places! The food and ambience is always so great. If you have friends visiting from out of town, this is the place you want to take to impress them. We like the bar side, but went for a date night recently and ate on the dinner side. We had an impromptu four course meal that was curated by our server. We took out time and didn't feel rushed. Every server and staff seem to be in a good mood and polite, whether they are bringing you food, cleaning your table, or passing you on your way out. I definitely recommend going about an hour before sunset. PS the setting in the former monk's quarters is beautiful.

Seasoning was perfect and had a nice, tart flavor coming through with the sauerkraut.🍠 🌟 WOW! 🤩 The sweet potatoes were the star of the evening! Sweet, savory, bright and fresh with lemon, crispy skins… just wow! Order the sweet potatoes!!🍰 For dessert, we ordered the chocolate panna cotta and olive oil cake. Both were absolutely stunning and would fit right in at any patisserie! Excellent flavors, textures, and presentation! Faultless!I’ll definitely be coming back!

Great place for a birthday, date, or gathering—and right down the street from First Ave. The espresso martini here was sublime, as was the Moroccan mint with cucumber vodka—seriously, the first sips here will knock socks off. The lamb cigars and chicken tagine are definitely great moves here—I highly recommend both. The curtained booths make for a special experience. For a restaurant serving Spanish and Moroccan food, I was expecting warmer colors to be part of the interior design. The green lighting and polished surfaces everywhere were missing a sense of warmth—giving major Slytherin common room vibes the whole time. Coupled with the fact that service was a bit spotty at times, these are minor complaints next to the splendid food and drinks.

Eleanor Frisch: This is the finest dining in Minneapolis, hands down. I went in February 2024 and everything was executed with meticulous care. Every single dish was perfectly balanced. There was nothing superfluous, nothing too heavy, nothing too acidic. The wine pairings were well thought out. Also, none of the staff forgot I was a pescatarian at any point. It was also the perfect amount of food. For the quality of the food the prices were extremely reasonable. I have been to most of the fine dining establishments in the Metro and don't think the others, like Travail or Spoon and Stable, which are amazing in their own right, can really compare to Tenant. This is where you bring a true foodie if you want to impress them.

Bethany Charlsen: We've dined here many times and every meal is a unique experience. It's an ideal place to come with friends or just your partner to sit back and enjoy the creativity and care of the chefs and staff. I love that the kitchen staff serves the food as you can tell from the passion in their descriptions, they are proud and eager to share it with you.The bar next door is a perfect place for a pre- or post-dinner cocktail which is a huge bonus! Alex Rudie: Stopped in for a late lunch on a rainy day and was able to order off the dinner menu a little early. We got the lobster poutine as a an appetizer, and it came out super hot and fresh. The cheese melted on top was so gooey and delicious. I ordered the stuffed salmon. The salmon was cooked perfectly and flakey, and the lobster stuffing was yummy. The wild rice was a tad sweet but still yummy.

C T: This is a quaint restaurant with a high-end tasting menu. You start your journey at the concierge booth, which also doubles as hotel check-in. They escort you through large doors and seat you immediately, assuming you made reservations in advance. Our server was very attentive to our needs and explained the pairing for each of the courses we had. The food was definitely a journey for you palate. The caliber of the kitchen is topnotch! The kitchen is open and right next to the dining area, and we didn't hear a peep out of the chefs. That just shows you the quality of professionalism they have. Ryan O'Halloran: Incredible food and super friendly staff. Everyone was checking on my table even if they weren't my usual waiter. The food was incredible and very rich. I had the Marrow Toast which was absolutely awesome and the Duck Confit Stroganoff which was a touch salty but the flavors were incredible otherwise. The drink selections were vast and interesting and overall it was a great experience. I would say the one minor complaint I had is that with so many rich dishes on the menu I wish there was a side salad option.

It's spicy but as he described, "a nice level of heat." We had the vanilla bean creme brulee, and it was a wonderfully smooth, flavorful custard.Drinks: Good. I had a glass of Chateau St Michelle Riesling, a wine I choose often so I knew I'd like it. My husband had the Old Fashioned, which was made with Maker's Mark and just isn't his favorite alcohol, but that's not really the restaurant's fault as he did choose to order it.Overall, this is a place we'd visit again the next time we're in the theater district!

Keitha McKinney: This was one of the best experiences I’ve had. We were there for my cousins birthday dinner our serve Nick was great he didn’t miss a beat very professional, friendly and funny. The manager Willie came over to see how it was going. & introduced hisself to see whose birthday it was, he made sure we got a birthday dessert. Informed us about the weekend breakfast for our birthday as well. The food was great, you could cut the steak with a butter knife. The overall experience was great I would definitely recommend this hidden gem. Once again I would like to say thank you to Nick & Willie

Edward Todd: The service was great. Food was good. The restaurant was active and loud, which is great for a lot of occasions, but would have preferred a quieter setting for a family dinner. But, my first priority was location with good food and service a second consideration. All in all, it was very nice.Parking: A Parking ramp was close and convenient. I think it was $7 for the evening.

Ellen Bracewell: Audrey was a wonderful amazing waitress and I enjoy her great personality

Kevin Biegler: Hadn't been to Oceanaire in many years. Now I cannot remember why and we will be back much much sooner. Stopped in on whim after the Twins opener sat at the bar. The signature Old Fashioned is beyond compare. The raw bar was fresh and their oysters incredibly delicious. We did a series of appetizers and cocktails the bar staff was friendly and efficient and fun! It was still the same great Oceanaire we remembered and we won't be waiting to go back! Thanks for a great evening!

Britt Stine: Delicious food, very friendly, welcoming staff and laid-back, elegant, peaceful atmosphere. I wish I could eat here every day! Eric was our server and he was absolutely wonderful. I substituted smoked white fish for the meat with my breakfast, and it delicious. Do not miss out on the almond cardamom knots with lingonberry icing - out of this world. ❤️

Arthur Molines: The restaurant is located inside the hotel lobby.The place has a great stylish look.The service was great. The food was excellent. It is supposed to be a Scandinavian restaurant. I would say, Scandinavian inspired as many items are not Scandinavian. Nonetheless the food was excellent with some Scandinavian items and ingredients here and there.

Cowboy Jack's Downtown Minneapolis: what do users think?

Mark Skorupa: Stopped here for a beer before the baseball game. The rooftop bar was perfect to get a little sun and enjoy a cold one. Service was a little slow. I think the server forgot we ordered already because she came back to our table and asked if we needed anything so we reminded her we already ordered drinks. Not a big deal...she ran over to the bar and grabbed them. One thing to note; Google shows them closed Monday - Wednesday but they were open on a Monday gameday so make sure you confirm if they are open or not before heading there.

Bruce Magidson: I visited in-between games at the B10 MBB tournament. The bartender was overwhelmed and needed support. It really took a long time to get my beverage.The atmosphere was fun. There's plenty of space to spread out even with a big crowd. The pizza appetizer was very good.

Paul Luoma: Everybody here was wonderful. We came in with the 130 reservation. The kitchen stops cooking or taking orders at 2:00 and parts of our party were later than our reservation and they still were wonderful to all of us. The food was delicious. The drinks were great. And when I made a mess they handled it with the greatest of ease. Wonderful brunch!

Ryan O John: Top 3 meals I’ve ever had. Creative pairings, stellar raw ingredient quality, locally sourced, and fabulously curated textures and tastes. On top of that the vibe is just purely welcoming and friendly.Dietary restrictions: They can seemingly accommodate anything with advance notice.

Vitor Yamaoto: You walk in into a small yet inviting waiting area with a small bar. If you got the pre drink package, you get a small menu of crafted cocktails or you can ask the bartender to make your own. After your introductory drink, they take you to the dining area which is a U shaped are with the kitchen in the center. You get an amazing experience from start to finish with 7 to 11 courses; you won't leave hungry. The wine pairing is carefully selected for a perfect match to each dish. The food is TOP NOTCH. They way the flavors come together in your pallet is really an experience you need to have for yourself.

Linda McLoon: I love to cook, and I love dining out. I love to try new foods and foods cooked in different ways. I find the complex mixtures of ingredients to make a totally new dish fun and exciting. If this is you, you will adore Demi. The food is sublime, the ambience serene, and the service is impeccable and joyful.From the moment we stepped inside, we felt welcomed. We started with a warm broth made from roasted beets. Light and warming. The first course was a triple. The sweet potato tart with pickled kombu, nori, black truffle, and miso was absolutely scrumptious. The other two small bites were lovely, but, oh my, that sweet potato tart! These were followed with a lovely fresh scallop crudo, beautifully plated. I adore foie gras, and the Demi version was slices of a terrine served with prune and preserved lemon. The foie gras was smooth; this was really yummy.The fish course was sturgeon, interestingly served with rutabaga puree and little slices of crispy rutabaga. This really worked.The pasta dish was so delicious, and I mean really, really delicious. This is the type of pasta you think about for days. These were chestnut agnolotti, served with celery root, cognac cream, and pomegranate. I could have eaten a huge bowl of these. A triumph in flavor and texture. Mmmmm!The duck and beef courses were also delicious, cooked perfectly, with perfect accomplishments. I had to laugh at the cheese course, as it was actually a cheese tartlet, with endive marmalade and pine nuts. These were perfect.We had a delicious sorbet palate cleanser, and a very interesting sunchoke bavaroise and ice cream dessert. And you leave with a little box of candies. This is a nice touch.Eating here is an adventure in deliciousness. Every dish is beautifully plated on interesting service ware. Your water glass never goes unfilled. You are served at your own pace. The staff is clearly and justly proud of what they are serving you.I have eaten at some magnificent restaurants in Copenhagen, Barcelona, France, and this absolutely meets the standard of those Michelin starred restaurants - and better than some.It is not cheap. You know what you are getting into when you reserve your table. However, the food is divine.If you like to know what you are going to eat before you get it, this is not the place for you. If sturgeon with rutabaga puree gives you pause, this is not the place for you. If, however, you are willing to put your meal in some very capable hands, and don't bat an eye at eating smoked white fish, broccolini, and caviar, you will fall in love with Demi.

Even the bathroom was meditative and romantic. Not sure what else to say about it. It's a great experience. All the dishes were fantastic but for me the vegetables really shined. I know a full 11 course vegetarian menu would never sell but they could pull it off.

Chris Valenty: A truly memorable dining experience, definitely lives up to the high praise. We had been waiting for a while to visit Demi, we had seen the stellar reviews for a few years now. The dining experience is very immersive with the open kitchen format. Being able to speak to the chefs as they deliver each course, really helped us understand the creativity and depth of flavors in each dish. As a fan of the Netflix Show “Chef’s Table”, this is first dining experience I’ve had in Minneapolis that felt like a world-class fine dining experience like you would see on Chef’s Table.
