Alton Gerold: My girlfirend and I went last night 1/10/24 and had their date night special, all courses were excellent, service was great! We will certainly be returning in the future. Good idea to visit both this location and Parlour in the basement if you are making a trip to the cities for either restaurant.Parking: Parking was very easy for us on a Tuesday as a spot was open in the paid parking lot 20 feet from door, on a weekend it may be tougher as this area has more limited parking and is very busy on weekends. Likely valet would be the way to go on the weekend and visit both Borough and Parlour to get full value!

Everything you eat will be cooked to perfection and satisfying.

Hat's off!Speaking of dishes, the bison tartare was increibly good, but we were blown away by the flavor of the duck ragu in the Torchietti. We had it made gluten-free to accommodate my wife's dietary needs, and the pasta was still delicious! We didn't stop there, adding an order of the pork chop for me and Alaskan halibut for my wife. The flavor profile on the pork chop dish was insanely big, bold, and wonderful. It was such a contrast to the halibut, which was also wonderful but much more delicate. Both were great. We were stuffed. There was no room for dessert, but since we had let it be known we were out celebrating a special event, we were not to leave without a wonderful little celebration treat. It was much appreciated!Our seating was at the Chef's Counter, and it couldn't have been more perfect. It gave us witness to all the incredible work going on in the kitchen as well as all the dishes that were getting prepped. TheDietary restrictions: My wife is gluten-free, and not only do they accommodate this with some of their dishes they go above and beyond to communicate between the waiter and kitchen about the dietary needs. This shows up starting with bread basket modifications, moves into extra tasting bites supplied to us from the head chef, and follows through to all our entrees and special desserts. Phenomenal staff coordination and cooperation.

We ordered it medium and it may have been ever so slightly cooked a little under medium. Seasoning was perfect and had a nice, tart flavor coming through with the sauerkraut.🍠 🌟 WOW! 🤩 The sweet potatoes were the star of the evening! Sweet, savory, bright and fresh with lemon, crispy skins… just wow! Order the sweet potatoes!!🍰 For dessert, we ordered the chocolate panna cotta and olive oil cake. Both were absolutely stunning and would fit right in at any patisserie! Excellent flavors, textures, and presentation! Faultless!I’ll definitely be coming back!

Ishmam Ahmed: Fhima’s blends flavorful food options with a unique, glitzy experience. Great place for a birthday, date, or gathering—and right down the street from First Ave. The espresso martini here was sublime, as was the Moroccan mint with cucumber vodka—seriously, the first sips here will knock socks off. The lamb cigars and chicken tagine are definitely great moves here—I highly recommend both. The curtained booths make for a special experience. For a restaurant serving Spanish and Moroccan food, I was expecting warmer colors to be part of the interior design. The green lighting and polished surfaces everywhere were missing a sense of warmth—giving major Slytherin common room vibes the whole time. Coupled with the fact that service was a bit spotty at times, these are minor complaints next to the splendid food and drinks.

Nonya Bidness: This spot was amazing. We went for dinner. The flavor/seasoning of the wagyu steak was perfect and it was cooked perfectly. The finger potatoes were spicy but very very good. Service was spot on and the atmosphere was very chill and relaxing. The creme brûlée was average but I can’t hold that against them. I would absolutely recommend this spot.

A Johnson: It's a great space for people watching.The food was tasty, but just kinda missed the mark for me this time. The texture of the leek fondue was almost like baby food, and the smoke in the risotto was overpowering.

Ann Nusbaum: This was our first time at this establishment. We went for New Year's Day Brunch. Love, love, love this place. The food was amazing. I had the French Omlette. It was perfect. Rhe beignets were the best I've jad outside of New Orleans. The quality of the drinks was unexpected. The Expresso Martini is a must. They also have Sazerac, which is unique for this part of the world. The place had a great vibe. Intimate setting, low key, relaxing, not rushed. Great place to hang with old friends, a date or family. We can't wait to go back and check out the dinner menu.

The only thing I did not really love was the escargot croquettes. The sauce on them was delicious, but I did not enjoy the croquettes themselves. A small disappointment in a lovely meal.

I love that the kitchen staff serves the food as you can tell from the passion in their descriptions, they are proud and eager to share it with you.The bar next door is a perfect place for a pre- or post-dinner cocktail which is a huge bonus! You let the server know what dietary needs you had at the beginning... We started out with some great cocktails and then a wonderful recommended wine. We loved every single part of this meal and experience. Do not miss this!

He answered any questions that we had for him. This was the best service we had during our Minneapolis trip. The food was 10/10 of course very flavorful and came out very quickly. Highly recommend coming in and ask for Rhett to be your server, he was that good!

I booked a bar place since I am on my own but they were flexible about siting me at one of the table when the bar was full. The food I ordered were amazing. I ordered spicy shrimp, grilled sprouts, and classic brûlée! They taste amazing. One of the bar tenders are so nice to check on me frequently and make me feel like I am not alone. I like it so much! The food was great and the service was even better. Our sever, Nicki, was incredibly helpful and friendly. The Manager, Willie, was beyond hospitable and attentive. He checked in on us throughout our stay to make sure everything was perfect. The cornbread was great and the coffee was better than the big name brands. Will definitely be stopping in again during our stay!

Our server, Mario, was spectacular. Attentive and personable. He was also kind enough to give us happy hour prices even though we technically weren't sitting on the happy hour side of the curtain. That meant a lot to us as we didn't see anything on line stating these prices only applied to certain tables and was a factor in our choosing this eatery.Food: Delicious. I appreciated the many gluten free options. I had cornbread and the stuffed mushrooms. The cornbread was amazing! I shared it with my husband but could have easily eaten it all myself. The mushrooms were a bit heavy on the garlic. I would have preferred that flavor to have been a bit more subtle. My husband had the bison burger and enjoyed it. It's spicy but as he described, "a nice level of heat." We had the vanilla bean creme brulee, and it was a wonderfully smooth, flavorful custard.Drinks: Good. I had a glass of Chateau St Michelle Riesling, a wine I choose often so I knew I'd like it. My husband had the Old Fashioned, which was made with Maker's Mark and just isn't his favorite alcohol, but that's not really the restaurant's fault as he did choose to order it.Overall, this is a place we'd visit again the next time we're in the theater district!

The manager Willie came over to see how it was going. & introduced hisself to see whose birthday it was, he made sure we got a birthday dessert. Informed us about the weekend breakfast for our birthday as well. The food was great, you could cut the steak with a butter knife. The signature Old Fashioned is beyond compare. The raw bar was fresh and their oysters incredibly delicious. We did a series of appetizers and cocktails the bar staff was friendly and efficient and fun! It was still the same great Oceanaire we remembered and we won't be waiting to go back! I would say, Scandinavian inspired as many items are not Scandinavian. Nonetheless the food was excellent with some Scandinavian items and ingredients here and there.

After your introductory drink, they take you to the dining area which is a U shaped are with the kitchen in the center. You get an amazing experience from start to finish with 7 to 11 courses; you won't leave hungry. The wine pairing is carefully selected for a perfect match to each dish. The food is TOP NOTCH. They way the flavors come together in your pallet is really an experience you need to have for yourself.

I find the complex mixtures of ingredients to make a totally new dish fun and exciting. If this is you, you will adore Demi. The food is sublime, the ambience serene, and the service is impeccable and joyful.From the moment we stepped inside, we felt welcomed. We started with a warm broth made from roasted beets. Light and warming. The first course was a triple. The sweet potato tart with pickled kombu, nori, black truffle, and miso was absolutely scrumptious. The other two small bites were lovely, but, oh my, that sweet potato tart! These were followed with a lovely fresh scallop crudo, beautifully plated. I adore foie gras, and the Demi version was slices of a terrine served with prune and preserved lemon. The foie gras was smooth; this was really yummy.The fish course was sturgeon, interestingly served with rutabaga puree and little slices of crispy rutabaga. This really worked.The pasta dish was so delicious, and I mean really, really delicious. This is the type of pasta you think about for days. These were chestnut agnolotti, served with celery root, cognac cream, and pomegranate. I could have eaten a huge bowl of these. A triumph in flavor and texture. Mmmmm!The duck and beef courses were also delicious, cooked perfectly, with perfect accomplishments. I had to laugh at the cheese course, as it was actually a cheese tartlet, with endive marmalade and pine nuts. These were perfect.We had a delicious sorbet palate cleanser, and a very interesting sunchoke bavaroise and ice cream dessert. And you leave with a little box of candies. This is a nice touch.Eating here is an adventure in deliciousness. Every dish is beautifully plated on interesting service ware. Your water glass never goes unfilled. You are served at your own pace. The staff is clearly and justly proud of what they are serving you.I have eaten at some magnificent restaurants in Copenhagen, Barcelona, France, and this absolutely meets the standard of those Michelin starred restaurants - and better than some.It is not cheap. You know what you are getting into when you reserve your table. However, the food is divine.If you like to know what you are going to eat before you get it, this is not the place for you. If sturgeon with rutabaga puree gives you pause, this is not the place for you. If, however, you are willing to put your meal in some very capable hands, and don't bat an eye at eating smoked white fish, broccolini, and caviar, you will fall in love with Demi.

I know a full 11 course vegetarian menu would never sell but they could pull it off.

Chris Valenty: A truly memorable dining experience, definitely lives up to the high praise. We had been waiting for a while to visit Demi, we had seen the stellar reviews for a few years now. The dining experience is very immersive with the open kitchen format. Being able to speak to the chefs as they deliver each course, really helped us understand the creativity and depth of flavors in each dish. As a fan of the Netflix Show “Chef’s Table”, this is first dining experience I’ve had in Minneapolis that felt like a world-class fine dining experience like you would see on Chef’s Table.
