Alma: what do users think?

C T: This is a quaint restaurant with a high-end tasting menu. You start your journey at the concierge booth, which also doubles as hotel check-in. They escort you through large doors and seat you immediately, assuming you made reservations in advance. Our server was very attentive to our needs and explained the pairing for each of the courses we had. The food was definitely a journey for you palate. The caliber of the kitchen is topnotch! The kitchen is open and right next to the dining area, and we didn't hear a peep out of the chefs. That just shows you the quality of professionalism they have. Smooth and running like a well-oiled machine. I would highly recommend celebrating a special occasion with Alma!

Nicole Gislason: We had the most wonderful experience for my sister's 30th birthday dinner. It was a curated menu where the plates just came out in courses. You let the server know what dietary needs you had at the beginning... We started out with some great cocktails and then a wonderful recommended wine. We loved every single part of this meal and experience. Do not miss this!

Café and Bar Lurcat: what do users think?

Heather Kaiser: This is one of our special occasion places! The food and ambience is always so great. If you have friends visiting from out of town, this is the place you want to take to impress them. We like the bar side, but went for a date night recently and ate on the dinner side. We had an impromptu four course meal that was curated by our server. We took out time and didn't feel rushed. Every server and staff seem to be in a good mood and polite, whether they are bringing you food, cleaning your table, or passing you on your way out. I definitely recommend going about an hour before sunset. PS the setting in the former monk's quarters is beautiful.

Joan L: was in front of our order, so she offered us a side dish to accompany our main meals and we added the sweet potatoes.🐓 The main entrées were well done — chicken was beautifully carved and presented. The skin was tasty. The black rice and sauce were nice compliments to the meat.🐖 The pork chop was a beautiful, thick cut of meat. We ordered it medium and it may have been ever so slightly cooked a little under medium. Seasoning was perfect and had a nice, tart flavor coming through with the sauerkraut.🍠 🌟 WOW! 🤩 The sweet potatoes were the star of the evening! Sweet, savory, bright and fresh with lemon, crispy skins… just wow! Order the sweet potatoes!!🍰 For dessert, we ordered the chocolate panna cotta and olive oil cake. Both were absolutely stunning and would fit right in at any patisserie! Excellent flavors, textures, and presentation! Faultless!I’ll definitely be coming back!

French Meadow Cafe & Bluestem Bar: what do users think?

Noel Stroner: This brunch spot is adorable and has excellent food and drinks. The service wasn’t great - no one explained to us the self serve area vs full service area when we walked in, just stared at us. Another group walked in behind us and the staff then proceeded to explain everything quite kindly to them. The staff member that took our order at the counter acted quite annoyed and barely spoke to us.

Kellie Hoffman: .The atmosphere was really cool!

Spoon and Stable: what do users think?

Robyn: One of the best restaurants Ive tried in Minneapolis! The menu might seem pretty ordinary but everything was very goodRecommended dishes Dry-Aged Duck Breast …

Jonathan Robinson: Absolutely phenomenal food and experience. Our server Louis was beyond amazing as he took the time to explain the dishes, cocktails, and so much more. Hat's off!Speaking of dishes, the bison tartare was increibly good, but we were blown away by the flavor of the duck ragu in the Torchietti. We had it made gluten-free to accommodate my wife's dietary needs, and the pasta was still delicious! We didn't stop there, adding an order of the pork chop for me and Alaskan halibut for my wife. The flavor profile on the pork chop dish was insanely big, bold, and wonderful. It was such a contrast to the halibut, which was also wonderful but much more delicate. Both were great. We were stuffed. There was no room for dessert, but since we had let it be known we were out celebrating a special event, we were not to leave without a wonderful little celebration treat. It was much appreciated! Our seating was at the Chef's Counter, and it couldn't have been more perfect. It gave us witness to all the incredible work going on in the kitchen as well as all the dishes that were getting prepped. TheDietary restrictions: My wife is gluten-free, and not only do they accommodate this with some of their dishes they go above and beyond to communicate between the waiter and kitchen about the dietary needs. This shows up starting with bread basket modifications, moves into extra tasting bites supplied to us from the head chef, and follows through to all our entrees and special desserts. Phenomenal staff coordination and cooperation.

Raquel Tabor: Recommended dishes Pot Roast

Akshaya Bhagavathula: My recent dinner at Spoon and Stable in Minneapolis was an experience that truly stood out in my culinary adventures. This beautifully restored horse stable turned restaurant offers a warm and inviting ambiance that set the tone for a remarkable evening. The menu, curated by Chef Gavin Kaysen, is a testament to his expertise and commitment to showcasing the best of Midwest ingredients with a French twist. We started with the foie gras terrine, which was rich and perfectly balanced, and it became an instant favorite at our table. For my main course, I chose the duck breast, which was tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection, accompanied by a side that complemented the duck without overshadowing it.What really made our meal unforgettable was not just the food but the service. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely enthusiastic about their work. They recommended excellent wine pairings that elevated our dining experience. The dessert rounded off the evening on a high note, with creative and delightful options that were as beautiful to look at as they were to taste. The ambiance, service, and exquisite cuisine made Spoon and Stable a dining destination that I can't recommend highly enough. Whether for a special occasion or a treat-yourself night out, this restaurant promises an evening that’s both enchanting and satisfying.

Tilia: what do users think?

Joel Abrahamson: Love this place! Every cocktail I've ordered has been spot-on, and the dishes always bring together unexpected flavors. The brunch menu includes chilaquiles, which you don't see everywhere in the Twin Cities.Tilia also has a thoughtful kids menu and not particularly expensive. Top it off with kind servers, and it's well worth it.

Augustin McLaughlin: Pros: Good cocktails, amazing service, cozy interior.Cons: Nothing really.Drank: Two CocktailsRecommend: Yes

Weo Kick: and atmosphere cozy. Our main dishes were a little less mind blowing than the small-dish starters... One was rich but really toooo rich, making it heavier than is enjoyable, while the other entree had outstanding flavors that didn't quite blend as they should... Sharp and tangy beets, grilled cauliflower and minerally fish not melding quite right. The flavors didn't create a symphony, but also kept me intrigued... maybe it has to grow on me? All in all a very good experience and we'll definitely be back to try more original recipes. Happy this unique dining experience exists so nearby.

The Oceanaire Seafood Room: what do users think?

Ellen Bracewell: Audrey was a wonderful amazing waitress and I enjoy her great personality

Kevin Biegler: Hadn't been to Oceanaire in many years. Now I cannot remember why and we will be back much much sooner. Stopped in on whim after the Twins opener sat at the bar. The signature Old Fashioned is beyond compare. The raw bar was fresh and their oysters incredibly delicious. We did a series of appetizers and cocktails the bar staff was friendly and efficient and fun! It was still the same great Oceanaire we remembered and we won't be waiting to go back! Thanks for a great evening!

Smack Shack: what do users think?

Alex Rudie: Stopped in for a late lunch on a rainy day and was able to order off the dinner menu a little early. We got the lobster poutine as a an appetizer, and it came out super hot and fresh. The cheese melted on top was so gooey and delicious. I ordered the stuffed salmon. The salmon was cooked perfectly and flakey, and the lobster stuffing was yummy. The wild rice was a tad sweet but still yummy.

Terry B: lobster roll was beautiful and packed with meat, served with really good Frenchfries. Although I felt it was a bit bland, I would order it again. I would try the hot one next time. It is pricey, they usually are. It was 32.00. The fish taco was great!

Sarah Washington: I've been a loyal customer at Smack Shack for years, and I can't believe I haven't left a review until now. This place deserves a solid five stars, not only for being an exceptional restaurant but also for making me feel like part of their family. The food at Smack Shack is absolutely phenomenal, especially their cheesecake, which I believe is the best in the state, if not the world. The customer service is top-notch, with everyone being incredibly kind and friendly. The cooks at Smack Shack are truly phenomenal, and I believe they have the best chef in town. I've celebrated my birthday there every year since I just turned 44, and it's always been a memorable experience. Even my grandson loves it there, as they are kid-friendly and even have a beautiful patio where you can bring your fur babies.I must also mention the amazing happy hour they offer. The lobster roll is a must-try, and their drinks are top-tier. If you haven't been to Smack Shack yet, I highly recommend you give it a try. And when you do, make sure to mention that Miss Washington sent you!#SmackShackLove #FiveStarExperience #FamilyLikeVibes"#Boom#1Love

The Freehouse: what do users think?

Emily Braverman: cool presentation but weird taste. They clearly have their own twist on the classic soup and it doesn’t work well, in my opinion. Can’t recommend.Parking: Minneapolis so all paid parking, meter police were everywhere.Kid-friendliness: They had kids meals and mickey mouse pancakes

Fey Fey: Yum yum yum. Love the outdoor seating.

Ania Williams: This was my second visit after almost 3 years and I was pleasantly surprised. Tuna appetizer was fresh. I would tone down the mayo in the Wasabi aoli but it was ok. The Brussel sprouts were fantastic and the roasted chicken was amazing. Probably the most tender I've ever tasted. I was not impressed with the salad. The dressing was pretty bland. Overall. Pretty good food.

Monica Sherman: BRING BACK THE CHILEQUILES!!I LOVED this dish, although I did sub rotisserie chicken for the chorizo. But now it's off the regular menu and I WANT IT BAAAACK!!!Pretty please give Everyone a chance to at least try it my modified way OR a suggestion...AT LEAST allow us to order it OFF the SECRET unprinted MENU!!!!!!!????

Shaun Cooper: Great restaurant/brewery in the North Loop neighborhood of Minneapolis. Parking can be a little difficult to come by, but usually you can find a meter on Washington Ave. Food is fast and delicious, as well as the beer and cocktails. We like the breakfast options and usually have a hard time deciding since there are so many good choices. It was busy on the Sunday morning that we were there so the wait staff took a little longer than was expected.Vegetarian options: Lots of optionsKid-friendliness: Definitely a place you can bring the kids to.

Thank you, Martina!

Christine Hubert: Such a great experience! I made reservations for my husband’s birthday on a Friday night. They sat us immediately and told us they saved us a booth. Then they made us a complimentary birthday drink. The food was delicious and drinks were good. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and will put this on our “restaurants list” for future fine dining options!

Sea Change: what do users think?

Jeannie Hill: We’ve enjoyed brunch, dinner, and just appetizers here over the years in conjunction with attending performances at The Guthrie Theater. Actually, once we can another time just for the food. If you want truly five-star food and service, The Sea Change restaurant doesn’t disappoint. It’s “sustainable seafood” and raw bar have served us both super fresh and unique dishes each time. For anyone living in the Twin Cities and wanting exceptional dining with fish as the featured dishes, or are visiting here, the Sea Change experience is worth the added price! We don’t think that exceptional food and service should be at comparable prices for typical dishes. The creativity of the chef and staff merits a special outing and tipping them too. We’ve had the same server more than once, and really found her most pleasant and helpful.I recommend trying the tuna tartare, oysters, and mussels if you are between appealing entrée options. The staff gave us suggestions as to accompanying drinks and we found their advice was right on.We give Chef Tim McKee and Culinaire high praise for the atmosphere and how this restaurant stands out for serving both the local community and out-of-town visitors who are looking for something unique and well-executed.For cocktails both Toes in the Sand and Snow Cone are terrific orange infused beverages. On one cold frost day in particular, they served up some of the best hot chocolates we’ve had.Parking is no problem and we love dining by its huge and beautiful windows. We’ve brought guests 3x and each party really enjoyed the experience and expressed their appreciation. We want to return now that the Guthrie has resumed performances!

Tanner Samson: Nice location, upscale restaurant with a good atmosphere and amazing food

Kathleen Heinlen: Romantic bar with wonderful pre-play drinks and food next to the Guthrie Theater!🍷🍸🎭

Luke Erickson: Great food!

Kimberly doherty: Excellent service and great food! Great location to eat before a show at the Guthrie!

Lalo Quillo: Nice place and great food

Hey You Yeah You: I enjoyed everything about this place.

Devin Fisher: Some of the best seafood I’ve had and I’m surprised I found it in Minneapolis. Make sure you try the grilled octopus. You won’t be sorry. Ok, maybe you will but only because you can’t have it every night.

Jordan Schmidt: Phenomenal menu and service

David Haines: Sat at the bar. Great food, attentive service. 10/10 will be back

Hen House Eatery: what do users think?

rachel notter: that was to die for. It is clear the restaurant has a focus on fresh, quality food. Now that I am not in Minneapolis I literally dream about this place. 10/10 Hen House

Hiten Patel: Very good veggie options.Vegetarian options: Burgers, soups and other vegan optionsDietary restrictions: Has vegan options on menu

Alexis Laubenthal: We got to Hen House about 8 o’clock on a Saturday morning. We were seated right away at the bar. The waiter was phenomenal. We got our coffees quick and he recommended both the roll and eggs benedict that we ended up choosing! The role was phenomenal, definitely could be a full meal for someone, but we ended up sharing this and pictured is a half order of the eggs benedict; definitely plenty of food. The eggs Benedict came with hashbrowns that were done perfectly. The eggs benedict was great even had a little kick to it. Overall, fantastic experience we will definitely be back!

Urban Eatery Minneapolis: what do users think?

Kyle Schiemo: My wife and I hosted our groom's dinner here, and we had an absolutely fantastic experience. The food was incredible, while being able to cater to ~40 people as well as multiple dietary restrictions. Our two servers dedicated to the event were wonderful and ensured everything about the event went smoothly - from serving drinks, to interacting with all of our guests, to ensuring the timing between speeches and food being served went seamlessly - they did an excellent job with everything. And the event space was perfect, large enough to comfortably host our group while also being warm and inviting. Overall, we had the perfect prelude to our wedding. I would wholly recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to host a special event.

Ryan Kassel: which was delucious, still hungry so ordered the mushroom soup which was great and was full of a variety of fresh local gourmet mushrooms! Menu is fantastic, would def recommend, great bar too!

Andrew l Jaffee: We had a family lunch on a sleepy Saturday afternoon there and we were treated to great food in a warm and inviting atmosphere. We had a glitch with one of our 7 meals and they managed it a bit awkwardly. However, the manager made a real effort to fix it, even if that effort was late into the experience. Overall this is a spot you will enjoy if you like the whole gastroub vibe

Preston Holt: . We have been here three times and have had a great experience each time. I really recommend their shrimp tacos and their house potato fry things. Never seems busy, which is odd.Parking is kind of confusing but luckily city street parking is close and inexpensive. They also offer valet, though I've never used it.

Carra Otten: "I have the best taste in my mouth!"- me, after eating from 4 different plates; The nachos, hummus, micro green salad, and the best, the falafel burger. The manager stopped by to see how everything was, he was delightful. The Versist Strawberry Mint Spritz, recommended by the amazing waitress, Miranda, was great!....we're currently giggling too much to finish this review. Until next time! The others at my table, see reviews below... copied my words!!! No more Verist for them!!!

Fogo should hire more like them.. I love this place..

Hell's Kitchen Inc.: what do users think?

Jalen Bell: So when I walked past this place, my first thought was Gordon Ramsey’s famous tv show. Turns out they’re a local business, no affiliation. The burger was absolutely fantastic! Well seasoned, temperature just right, and it had bacon and tangy sauce that was similar to 1000 island. Bonus: They branded the bun with the logo which I thought was cool. Ordered cheesecake for dessert. A bit pricy but well worth the quality of food. I’d def eat here again when I’m in town.

Gina M: Mariann was the BEST!! This was our 1st time here and she was so nice and patient.Be careful when you bite into the inferno burger!! The cheese went everywhere 😭 Good burger though.Warm Greens Grain bowl with Mojo pork added. Walleye bites for an appetizer and a peanut butter cup, ice cream and a complimentary brownie from the staff. They even have a photo booth. We had a great time here.

Nancy Anderson: Great experience. The mimosa bar and the bloody mary bar was really fun and very good. The food was amazingParking: Ramp was easy to access the elevator right to Hell's Kitchen

Stephanie Hodges: We held our sellers dinner here for approx 35 people for a private event, using the far side pub. Not only was the atmosphere amazing the food and the staff and the ease of booking and follow up was amazing. I received so many thank yous and this was amazing and the perfect set up, food and drinks and Vanessa and her team were perfect! Need a place for your company/team outing? This was it!

SHARESHA GREEN: Atmosphere: 5/5

Natalie Peterson: Had the fish & chips and my friend got the ham & pear crisp sandwich, we both had garlic Parmesan fries and shared the brownie dessert. SO. GOOD.Dietary restrictions: Offers gluten-free options on the menu!

Walter D.: Food: Both our stakes were cooked to perfection, the bread plate is something to look forward to and the recommended wine was perfectly matched to our entrees.Service: The service it self will make you want to come back, the minute you walk in you are being greeted and complimented. Every person that we spoke to wished us a happy anniversary, they even had heart confetti spread out on our table

Nora Hyde: . I ordered Lobster & Crab Cakes, Lobster Mac & Cheese, and the Tenderloin & Lobster entree. Incredible quality of food and service. Highly recommend.

Jackie Kramer: We both just retired so went to the Capital grille for a celebratory dinner and it did not disappoint!!! Angel was our server and he was outstanding! Our food was prepared perfectly and they gave us a lovely cheesecake and flourless chocolate cake with fruit since we were first time customers. Don’t waste your time going elsewhere- this is our new favorite special restaurant. Thank you Angel!!! You made our night even more special!

Zelo: what do users think?

Megan D: I was visiting the area, and we came to Zelo for a team dinner. It was surprisingly very busy for a weekday night, so it was a good thing that we had reservations. We all got drinks, and I went with the sangria - it was perfectly made! We also started with meatballs and brussel sprouts to share, which were fine. For my meal, I ordered the lasagna, which is my #1 favorite food, so I wanted to see how Zelo did with theirs. It was very good. I loved that they used ricotta, had plenty of cheese, and the perfect amount of sauce on top. The overall taste was fantastic! My only complaint was that the bottom layer was crispy/crunchy and overdone. If it had been properly cooked, I'd put it up there with the best. The small portion was good enough for me for one meal.Everyone on my team enjoyed their meals - they all had pork chops, pizza, chicken parm, ravioli, etc.We ended with desserts to share, and I will say I was not really impressed, they were just okay. I would just recommend sticking with the meals as that is where they excelled.I would definitely recommend Zelo if you are in the area for an enjoyable Italian dinner.

Abhishek Sood: Service was amazing, food tasted great and highly recommend butternut squash ravioli which seemed like was freshly made. Lots of options for vegetarians which is a huge plus.Vegetarian options: Any pasta or pizza on the menu can be made vegeterian which is a huge plus

amantastic: Five star experience! We adored our server who was very professional and helpful! Delicious cocktails. We loved the blue salad, which kindly was split for us. Incredible selection of wine both by the glass and the bottle. Comfortable seating/ very classy and upscale! Our entrees were beautifully plated and perfectly cooked. The house made gelato was a perfect finish. Thank you to all the amazing staff that made our experience memorable.
