John: This is a great hobby shop. Every time I travel to minnesota from north carolina I make a special effort to stop in here and see what they have. I usually spend at least two hours looking around.
AJD: If you’re a model railroad enthusiast and find yourself in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul area, this store is a must! Incredible selection of model railroad items and other railroad collectibles spanning across several long aisles! Can easily spend a few hours just browsing through this store! Also has a nice selection of slot cars, planes, and boats for other hobbyists!

The Hennepin Overland Railway Historical Society, Inc. is a nonprofit exempt organization under §501(c)(3). Its goals include providing entertainment and education for those interested in the history and operations of railroads. Within our south Minneapolis facility, we operate a railroading museum, the "Station 2501" museum/hobby shop, and a 65 foot long by 29 foot wide HO scale model train layout.
The 1,800 square foot railroad display of the Hennepin-Overland Museum currently consists of eastbound and westbound mainlines, a branchline serving the fictitious towns of New Bergin and Summit, a logging line featuring a breathtaking hand-made trestle bridge and a logging camp, multiple upper level storage yards and industrial spurs, and lower-level storage/staging yards. There is no prototype for the Hennepin-Overland; it is a freelance layout design.
There is no particular era represented, though we try to use structures that date to the late steam era (1930-1960). The main line is basically a two-track loop enabling continuous running, although reverse loops around the main helix allow it to be operated as a two-track loop-to-loop main. Typically a train spends about half its time in the “off-stage” portions of the layout.
Operationally the layout could be operated by one person (but somewhat limited) or up to about 15 people. With an operable helix, we have run up to three trains on each main line at one time. If we can stay organized enough, we should be able to have up to ten trains running simultaneously on the mains and branch lines, not including local switching and industrial branches or commuters. When we get full-blown operating sessions, it would not be unusual to see 15 or more locomotives or trains all moving simultaneously.

After many more orders, it was clear that this is an excellent shop that is worth choosing as your primary supplier of model airplane. Firstly, they have a vast array of models for sale online and in the physical shop. Additionally, their prices are competitive and there are great sales multiple times per year. Lastly, the most important point is that the customer service is top tier. They search the models before shipping to you, preventing you from having to send it back and wait a while longer for a new one to arrive. The DGPilot team always responds to emails in a quick, friendly, and informative manner. After not getting the models on time due to factors out of their control before the holidays, they went above and beyond to provide us with a great customer experience. After visiting the store in-person last week, and I could not believe it, my appreciation for this store soared even higher. The employee was so friendly, and knew a ton about aviation and model aircraft. It was a lovely environment and I am hoping to visit again soon. This shop should be your main supplier of model aircraft or aviation memorabilia, as there are so many great experiences I’ve had with this company.

Emerson Maki: Wow! What an amazing store. They have the best selection of Warhammer 40k, AoS, Necromunda, and other games. They also have the best selection of paint and supplies.Not only do they have the goods, but the staff was on another level! One guy, I think the owner, was so helpful in talking with my son and I about everything on the hobby side of 40k. He introduced us to new paints, guides on painting, and was generally very inviting. He welcomed every regular by name who walked in, and set an incredible tone for the store.I will make trips to Minneapolis just to stop here and talk with them again.

Leventa24: There aren't a whole lot of Games Workshop stores in America and this is the only one within at least 100 miles. For that alone it's a unique experience to stop in and visit. Lets get into the real details that matter though. Everything here is going to be MSRP and unless there is a special offer going on you're not going to be buying anything at a price that is competitive with most online tabletop retailers. But that's not why you go to a store like this in the first place. Whether you've been into Wargaming for a while or you're just getting into the hobby, the Staff at this store are extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and will never hesitate to tell you about events or other interesting things that are going on. There are all sorts of special promotions, free monthly miniatures and all sorts of events that this store is able to participate in that are never going to be an option for Non-Games Workshop brick and mortar stores. That alone makes this place a nearly 1-of-a-kind resource for the local area and worth a visit.

Josh Schulenberg: Honestly, the two employees I interacted with were some of the nicest game store employees I have ever met. It feels like game/comic book stores always have employees with condescending attitudes, I get how hard it is to deal with people. These employees did not seem judgy or condescending at all, even after they had to get out 4 game discs for me. They were willing to make conversation about magic the gathering and games. Creative Correlophus: Customer service is excellent.Love having such a wonderful Traxxas dealer close to home.The gal that was working on 5/5/24 helped out my wife and son with a defective servo.
