Erin Johnson: All the employees have been fabulous. Very helpful with any questions. I am a new member and get updates on classes and special guests at the center. Lots of classes to expand my love for fiber arts. I've found the library very useful.
Leah Honsey: Classes are fun, the art is inspiring and unique. The show changes frequently so it's a great destination for frequent visits. I like that the gift shop has kits for beginners that are reasonably priced so myself or kids can try new things like felting, knitting, dying. Lots of great books too. And really friendly staff

The lovely woman in the gift shop was so welcoming,and helpful, she made the entire experience interactive and I appreciate that! You feel you could reach your potential here--take classes, get inspired by the art and goods on display, take a seat and reflect on the quiet glory of real art. Definitely worth a visit. Lisa S: Such a local gem. It is my daughters & I favorite place for a day just the two of us. Lisa is such a wealth of artistic information, and all the crafts are genuine, simply sourced and honest in materials.
Jodi Miller: I took my daughter to Heartfelt a couple of times when she was 2. I was a little nervous because crafting with a 2 year old can be tricky, especially in public. We made pumpkin homes for a peg-gnome that we also made there. We so thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, both times. It was so much fun playing with her with it and even after that pumpkin rotted, we still kept the gnome and tree bark bed we made. The thing though that I most took away from Heartfelt was how to craft with a toddler. Making the pumpkin home and watching the staff’s instruction to a young audience, and how they handled the kids and their parents as well as seeing how you could use pieces of nature to make really neat things was beyond inspirational. I will always remember Heartfelt for these experiences I gained. I could see shopping there for project ideas/supplies for a adult without kids too.

Lori Miller: Three of us did the try it class today for basics with boron. We all learned so much about manipulating glass using a torch. Malcom is a great teacher and this class covered a lot of skills in the time we had. We learned about the torch and gathering glass and did some blowing and sculpting. His teaching style of watching him and then us doing it helped us repeat the steps each time with starting the torch up and shutting it down. Great job Malcom we will be back!

Michael Sullivan: This place is a gem. They moved from 48th and Chicago a while back and the space is bright and airy. Records, new and used take up about a third of the shop. Clothing, cards, jewelry and a mish mash of other items combine to create an excellent bohemian boutique. Visit often.

Kane Loukas: A quirky but cool store for very inexpensive art supplies. My daughter likes to go here for art projects. For a few bucks, you can get a bunch of neat stuff.I like the re-used post cards, many of which have hand written messages on them.

Deborah Uhlemann: My grandchildren asked if we could go to this small store, telling me that they just love it. It's a cute store filled with recycled and reused items. The prices for the products are very low, and children can easily get a little bag of treasures for five dollars. This store is clever and teaches kids the value of old things that still have use. Many of the items could be used to create pieces of art.

Laura Olson: I checked out a few fabric stores that day.....this was the most unique.....reminded me of the shops in Stillwater. Good quality fabrics and unique gift store.
Cole Sarar: Great little sewing/crafting/gift shop. I’ve gotten all sorts of basic sewing needs here- zippers, wonder clips, buttons, etc. lots of vintage goods too.
Mind Yobiz: This place is less than a mile from where I live, I went there looking for some fabric to make some panels for my walls. Boy oh boy was I stunned by the selection, every color, tons of patterns, stripes, solids, prints and more. Plus the cards, cups, mugs, hand made items, easily the greatest 800 square feet I have walked into ever. All the items are made by individual crafters and not corporations, which makes it all the better.

Chris Blake: They are the best and most knowledgeable pottery and clay store in the twin cities. If you need clay, this is your store. They are also really knowledgeable about everything related to ceramics. They helped me design a program for my Scout group where we did a pit firing! It turned out great and the kids had a great time, and I never would have had the courage to try it without the help of the great crew at continental Clay.

Over the last months, ceramics has been on my list. Last week, I ventured the 11 miles west to the store and decided to check it out. I must admit that going into a specialty shop like this can be intimidating for an absolute novice, but the staff were wonderful! On my first visit, I grabbed a couple of blocks of 2 different clay varieties that were suggested and headed home.Today, I went back for round 2. It's still a little intimidating being so green, but I saw Espen at the counter again today and was welcomed back. I spent the better part of an hour chatting, exploring, learning, and sharing different experiences and felt so happy to have this crew and these resources at hand!For the couple of people who have left reviews of unpleasant experiences, I would say this... Bridgette Jessen: I really enjoy shopping for jewelry making goodies at Beadhive. It's a delightful treasure of a bead store in the heart of Minneapolis. I like that the shop isn't too large inside and the bead variety is pretty diverse. You can find lots of gorgeous beads from Africa and other parts of the globe that will add a nice unique quality to your creations. Beadhive carries many different gemstone strands, Czech glass strands, metal and wood beads, and a great selection of chains. It's easy to get inspired while shopping here, too, with finished pieces on display to ogle. The owner, Becky, is so wonderful and helpful if you have any questions or would like to visit. The employees are all very attentive and helpful, too.Beadhive offers classes in a range of skillsets and they're very reasonably priced. The only downside to visiting here is that it's located off an extremely traffic heavy road and parking can be difficult. It's still worth checking out and staying awhile, though. 💜

Julie Johnson: I took my daughter to this store. She has a disability, and the manager was amazing and accommodating. My daughter was a bit overwhelmed, but the manager spent time with her, told her about the various choices, and helped her found what she wanted and what would work for her. I regret that I did not catch the manager's name.
Joy Avery: It's so much fun to wander through this store especially if you want to spend an hour, not just pop in for what you need. I love markers and probably have way too many but am always looking for new ones. The only complaint I have is that most of the markers are under lock and key. I'm sure they would gladly unlock all the cases so I could take my hour closely looking at every single marker but I've never asked them to do that. So that's my only complaint. Otherwise top notch.

However, disappointing to find out they won’t be replacing their large printer that broke down to make prints from original artwork. Now, they send it out for printing instead of in-house. I will have to find another company to make prints of my artwork. Disappointing.
