I visited with my 10 and 7 yr old cousins and their mom. The clerk answered questions, told them about the specimens, even identified some they had bought earlier and forgotten what they were.

Because you can sign up to take lapidary classes in the shop in the back and learn how to cut and polish stones like agate and much more. The classes are well run with instruction on cutting, grinding and polishing, and they make it very accessible to the beginner.

We walked in and one of the workers there asked what we were looking for which was weird because it was a direct question as if we came in for something specific. I said nothing, just wanted to look around and she was insistent on figuring out what we wanted but then said that if we wanted something specific to just ask. Ok.My husband and I wandered around talking within our selves and we were in another room with crystals. I tuned around and there is another woman behind me pretty close listening to us. I ignored it but wondered when she came into the store because I didn’t hear anything. So my husband and I were close, talking to each other quietly when the 2nd woman piped in to our conversation and that is when I realized she wasn’t a customer but someone who worked there.For the rest of our visit it was the same, I would mention something to my husband and she would pipe in. No privacy between my husband and I to discuss what we wanted.I felt like we were heavily being watched. I am white and not POC like the girl a few months ago who also felt targeted. I bought a few things but felt unwell after leaving the store. My anxiety was high alert. I have no clue why we were being watched so closely. We had winter coats on which is normal for this type of year. If they have had this much theft then they should invest in glass cases to keep the crystals in so they can monitor theft.Unfortunately I won’t go back. I felt so uneasy there and not trusted it left a bad experience for me.

Jessica Rae Shipley: Lots of cool stones, variety of shapes to pick from, not supposed to really touch anything until you buy it, which is understandable and the most beautiful collection of singing bowls that they are more than willing to play for you, only complaint is that compared to online sellers the singing bowls are VERY expensive.

Banle Gaar: Needed some incense for a project I was working on. Interesting little spot chalk full for your needs in the "dark" arts. Plenty of minerals, herbs in back, books plentiful in history and teachings. Checked out the incense and chose two and the worker asked if I had the correct apparatus for one of them. Told them what I was trying to achieve and they said it should work. They also threw in a free stick incense to try out. Long lasting, works outside better than others because it was actual resin. They then informed me why you get headaches because most incense use glue. Sniffing glue is bad m'kay.Worker knew their shop and was helpful. Thanks a lot!

Many Rolex dealers have a tendency to be either condescending or salesy- neither of which result in an enjoyable experience. There are a few Jewelry stores and high-end watch boutiques in the Twin Cities, but go to this one if you’d rather leave with a smile instead of a headache.

One of my main requests was a watch I had been waiting over a year for at my local dealer. Within 2 months of connecting will reached out to let me know it might be coming soon, and that week I was able to send payment on Friday, and receive the watch the following morning, already set to the correct time, with a handwritten note. I will not be buying any watches or jewelry elsewhere from now on. This was an A+ experience from start to finish.

That involved shipping and insuring my watch in addition to an extended period of waiting time. Wixon Jewelers is a certified Rolex service center and their watchmakers work on-site. Wixon's experts are available for questions and their work is superb. They work swiftly and their prices are reasonable. I suggest you give Wixon a try. You won't be disappointed!
