O Rubin: One of the things I miss most about Minneapolis is without doubt, Martin Patrick. My favourite men’s store in all the land. One stop shop for the very best in top quality men’s clothing and accoutrements!

Rick Olson: MP3 is an upscale clothing, accessories and a great barber! 💈 I know an odd combo, but venture to the back past all the incredible home furnishings, clothing and accessories and you will discover the barbershop!

Brian: Walking into MartinPatrick3 is like stepping into a sartorial sanctuary where every detail is curated to perfection. During my latest visit, I was on a mission to find the perfect pair of pants, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The store manager, Hoss, was a beacon of knowledge and style who made the entire process seamless and enjoyable.Hoss took the time to understand my style preferences and what occasion I was dressing for. His recommendations were spot-on, offering options that were both classic and contemporary. His eye for detail and understanding of tailoring made for a fit that felt personalized. It’s not just that Hoss found me the right pants; he also provided styling tips that will elevate my entire wardrobe. The ambiance of the store adds to the allure, with an aesthetic that is both modern and inviting. It’s the kind of place where you feel a part of something exclusive, yet utterly at home.If you’re in Minneapolis and in search of menswear that will make you look and feel your best, MartinPatrick3 is a must-visit. Hats off to Hoss and the team for crafting an experience that goes beyond shopping—it’s a masterclass in what retail should be.

Proper Minneapolis: what do users think?

Maya Fabian: Girlies get ON this shop. I find a home run piece or 2… every time. So cute and on trend.

Sophie D: Great shop, love having them in the neighborhood. Every time I go I’m happy to pick up pieces of affordable, stylish clothes to add to my closet! I fluctuate between size 16-18 and usually have no problem finding sizes that fit.

Deborah C: Cute boutique with a surprisingly affordable selection of both trendy clothes and elevated basics. I also enjoyed browsing their variety of stickers and accessories. Would definitely come back when I'm in town!

Valeria: was amazing!! I went with two of my friends and we definitely felt comfortable with the environment in the store. It’s small and cozy. Definitely will be going here again soon!

Heather Robibaro: I love this place so much! They always have such cute pieces and some brands I love from LA so I don’t have to miss them as much 😍

Calla Bjorklund Jarvie: the person working seemed a bit irritated I was there, so I tried to make my trip short. My toddler son loves to smell candles, so I found a perfect small one for him.

Cora Gavin: This store is the absolute cutest! It's also surprisingly affordable. I used to live near it and shopped here often, now I live out of state and I still buy their clothes online. They always ship really quickly. I can't recommend it enough!

Timothy McFadden: My wife loves this place. Nice people watching.

Molly B.: I'm fairly new to Minneapolis, and I've been searching for some new favorite affordable and stylish local boutiques to shop at. I have yet to find a shop I love as much as Proper! Proper checks all the boxes: great location, clean and welcoming space, reasonable prices, an adorable selection of clothes and accessories, and super friendly employees. I'm so thankful to have found this boutique!

Alexandra Reasoner: . Their prices are phenomenal and all of the employees have been so inviting and charming.

Haleigh: Unique and stylish clothes. The store owner is always nice and welcoming.

Maddi Clare: Very boujee and stylish shop. Every time I go there I'm very excited to visit because there is always a new line of clothing in stores. The employees are fairly nice, I have gotten a glare from one before, but probably because I'm a teenager. But in all sincerity it is one of those stores where you get a good mixture of basics as well as statement pieces all for a good price. It is very well organized and systematic. The aesthetics of the store itself just tends to be a pop of color. Nothing else like it, I would totally recommend.

Melissa Tomfohrde: Wonderful boutique that always brings in unique pieces of clothing! This is my favorite place to get my dresses from!

Katie K: Awesome women's boutique! I frequent both the Fargo & Msp locations and I love them both. Friendly staff + cute clothes, what more can you ask for!

Magers & Quinn Booksellers: what do users think?

Terry J: Wow! Great selection and even better staff. I ordered two books online for in-store pickup. There was some confusion as to the whereabouts of book #2 but the store clerk made it her mission to find it long after I had resigned to not getting the book this day. Well, she succeeded. Do NOT buy on Amazon. Support independent booksellers. You get more than just great literature. You get passionate, helpful humans.

Tiko Lieou: Great to have this independent bookstore in the neighborhood. With so many businesses closing in Uptown, glad to see they're still doing pretty well. It's nice they seem to always have a weekly author event. Big plus for being dog friendly with treats at the front.

Miranda Montes: I love this shop! I am new to the area and happened to walk past and check it out. They have a large selection of both new and used books, along with gifts and stationery. The staff was so helpful. They helped me find a used copy of a book I was looking for at a great price. I've been back since my first visit, and am sure I will be back many times in the future. For a perfect little 'self care' treat on a weekday I highly suggest stopping in and picking up a new book and then making your way over to Kim's a couple of doors down for a happy hour drink while you start your new book.

Will P: An uptown landmark and a Minneapolis destination for all book lovers and avid readers!

Terry O'Dell: Vast and extremely large bookstore in Minneapolis. Can get lost in the rows of books with many to choose from. Worth a stop if you're a book fan.

Andy Acker: Longtime fan of this bookstore: a lot of new and used books that are well- organized by section, and also laid out for the hungry mind that loves to explore ideas and find new things, rather than only what you're looking for. I hope they stay there forever.

Sean McStravick: Such a great store. Well curated selection of both new and used books and an awesome staff.

Devin Oglesbee: Outstanding service on a busy Saturday. Accidentally crossed paths with M&Q while enjoying a sunny weekend in Uptown. Asked for help with finding a paperback copy of The Boys in the Boat. Who knew that they had a “Sport Section?” The desk attendant was happy to help and knowledgeable.

Toni Knorr: Extremely helpful and kind staff. Great selection of books! The entire place gives a feeling that makes you want to browse for hours.

Sophina So: . I will not be selling here again.

Jonathan Heart: Hey, Magers & Quinn: I exclusively bike to your store. Ya hear? You're a great bookstore with great staff. But quit with the parking spots agenda. Sell books please.

Arthur Fermor: best bookstore

Halley Boesen: I've been buying books from this store for a long time. They have an excellent selection and great variety. Lots of very queer and very leftist content! Love it.

Tori Wensloff: great local bookstore! could wander for hours, great selection and very fun that they’re open late, you don’t see a lot of late night bookstores. i keep coming back!

Josephine Morris: I absolutely adore this bookstore. I first discovered it a couple of years ago, and keep coming back for more. They have an extremely wide collection of books, puzzle, notebooks, ect. There really is something for everyone here. The feeling of walking into Magers and Quinn is wonderful and doesn't compare to a large chain like Barns N' Noble. Support your local indie bookstores!

I have been following Parc since I moved to the cities in 2015 and they continuously do a fantastic job not only sourcing amazing women-owned and sustainability brands that you can feel good about buying, but everything they carry is incredibly beautiful and well-made. Parc is a perfectly curated experience and a required stop while in the north loop.

GoodThings: what do users think?

Pat Addy: Variety of fun gifts here. Need a gift for any occasion for any age?Good Things is good in a pinch.

Naomi Villebrun: Always find something when I go there.

Angeline Gard: Beautiful store with something for everyone and their customer service is always over and above friendly and helpful. The Grand store is my go to store for gift giving but they also have beautiful clothing, exceptional jewelry, a really great selection of baby and kids items and it’s a really fun place to bring out of town guests. It’s truly a can’t miss if you come to St. Paul.

Bill Conley: nice that we have a new store in the neighborhood, neat stuff and great staff.

Trisha Rowen: Very similar merchandise as Patina but also has some women's clothing and holiday decor.

Cammie Wadman Baca: My favorite St Paul store, 50% better than the White Bear Lake store..I spend way too much money there! Quality products too!

Paul Economon: Lovely shop of delightful curios and clothes and cards and just cool stuff. The staff are friendly and kind. You'll love this place!

ShiQuela Barnes: Beautiful store variety of gifts though we were looking for souvenirs and this is not the place. We did get some overpriced Minnesota stickers. Some staff were friendly some just stared nevertheless we did purchase somethings for ourselves and home but I would not recommend for souvenirs. Very cute gadgets and accessories for the home.

L: Came here since they're a Jellycat retailer. The selection is very sparse, only a couple really.

MaryPat Fox: Love Good style clothing. Never disappointed in what selections they have. My go to for fun and fashion.

Jessica Lauderman: Cool store but definitely on the pricey side. If your looking for unique gifts definitely try it out but you'll probably spend 20 min a gift.

Birchbark Books & Native Arts: what do users think?

Emilia: This bookstore is really beautiful and has a great selection of both native and non-native authors. There are also an assortment of handmade gifts that are clearly made with care. When I was there today one of the employees helped me find some horror books. They had lots of good suggestions and were friendly and genuine.

Lee Witte: Fun and friendly neighborhood book store.

Deborah Weddle: Great local bookstore focusing on Indigenous authors and books. Staff was exceptional in helping our YA readers finding books of interest!

Brooke K. Carlson: Haven't been in ages. Wish I lived closer. Need to make a point to visit again sooner.

Aimee Roberson: One of my favorite bookstores!

Kyle Herberg: Fun store with a great selection of books and other gifts.

Jade: I bought a book online and it came a week earlier than they estimated! Support native-owned businesses!!!

Linda Wabanimkee: My second visit to this amazing bookstore. I came away with four books, three were Native American authors and a card, postcard, a couple of bookmarks. I also order online. Stopped in here while we visited Minneapolis.

Kara Kelso, Commercial Real Estate Consultant: . This shop has an amazing selection of Indigenous books — it was so hard to choose what to get! Oh, and the confessional from The Sentence is in the shop which is great. I am really looking forward to coming back to this shop.

Gerald Friest: My wife and I have bought several books from Birchbark Books over the last couple of years. We also received a wonderful recommendation from a staff person about a series of youth books that our granddaughter has reread several times. The staff are always friendly.

Thomas Robertson: Nice store

Cake Plus-Size Resale: what do users think?

Nichole Wilson: clothes. They have the only dressing room I can try clothes on and not cry. My only complaint is that I live too far from them and I would 100% apply to work for them if they had a second store closer to the northern part of the cities! I recommend my friends to look at their online shopping all the time.

Karen Monroe: Always friendly and helpful. As usual, I went to look for something for myself and left with exactly what I needed AND surprises for my daughter and granddaughter. AND I didn't drain the bank😁. Thank you again.

bronwyn miller: I LOVE this place. I live in Missouri and have wanted to visit for a long time and finally got the opportunity a few months ago when I was in Minneapolis. It was absolutely amazing- so inclusive, wonderful staff, good organization, large size range, good prices, fans in the fitting rooms. I bought two pairs of pants off the rack that fit me, which is sometimes hard to find, and also two shirts that have become a part of my regular rotation. I really hope someday there's something similar where I live because I really had the best experience here. No notes.

Claire Doolittle: , and I have loved every one! It has helped me branch out in fashion, try new things, and look stellar and confident.

Laurene Christensen: This store is such a great model of inclusivity! It’s so great to have so many different brands all in one space! The staff have so much energy and enthusiasm for fashion for every body! Thanks, Cake, for curating such a great space!

Anne Tower: Amazing, inclusive, important space for our community! I’ve sold clothes, and bought clothes here multiple times and always have a fantastic experiences. And come away with amazing finds!!

Madilyn Morgan: Amazing spot with high quality plus size clothes in a variety of sizes

Jes Sylvestre: This shop is AWESOME! I visited for the first time yesterday and brought a bag of clothes to sell. While waiting, I had the chance to look around and was pleasantly surprised by the selection, prices, cleanliness, accessibility, and friendliness of the staff. They wanted most of what I brought in and offered cash or store credit which I chose the store credit as it was the better deal and it NEVER EXPIRES! I was able to find some new to me items to refresh my wardrobe and I still have store credit left over for my next visit; I can't wait to go back!

Shannah Anderson: I love the mission and values behind this shop. It has been a source of empowerment for me since its inception and I truly feel like I am part of a community. I’m grateful for the tireless work that Cat Polivoda and her staff have put into Cake over the years. I’ve found so many staples as well as more specialty/statement pieces that made me feel so confident. Cheers to Cake for championing fat liberation via fashion! Truly an incredibly inspirational place to shop, on so many levels!!

Elizabeth: Well laid out and organized smaller and quieter shop. For the size of the shop they had a good amount of contemporary clothes to choose from in sizes 1X-5X, with separate sections for dresses, pants, shirts, and skirts. Athletic wear separate. Bras, bralettes, and binders in a dresser. Extras like shoes, purses, scarves, and jewelry. Mostly the prices seemed fair, though there was lots of Torrid, which isn't my thing, and seemed like retail. Two dressing rooms. Very nice clerk. Found 1 item.

Robyn Gaylord: I love having a place to shop that is geared to those wearing plus size clothing. The whole team makes you feel welcome each time you stop in to shop. I don't think I've ever left there without getting at least one piece of clothing.😊

atlas: got a dress with my partner. kind and helpful staff, sweet body positive interior and nice styles to choose from.

Eli Panos: I had the pleasure of booking a style appointment with Paxyshia. She is a super nice knowledgeable stylist who helped me branch out of my comfort zone in a fun way! I didn’t feel judged and she picked out a bunch of pieces. I feel excited to get dressed in the morning which is a first for me. I would love to book with her again next time I want to change up my style. The prices were very reasonable and the clothes were in good condition. I will be shopping here frequently from now on.

Nicole Weiler: left out of the conversation in fashion spaces, Cake facilitates opportunities to celebrate plus size fashion and fat liberation. The pricing is G R E A T , staff creatively cultivates their social media, and I think the community feels collective ownership over this local gem. 💛

Kate Urmann: People come from out of state for this place

Justine Olson: Cute plus-size clothes, XL-6X. Small but excellent pieces. I love their mission and their efforts towards fat acceptance. They have fat beach days! They rented out a pool so fat people could swim without shame. The owner is super friendly.MASKS REQUIRED, as of July 2023. They have them available just inside the door.

a&bé bridal shop minneapolis: what do users think?

Makayla McGregor: I could not speak more highly about a&bé bridal shop in Minneapolis! The vibe of the shop was amazing, from the names of the brides coming in that day written on the door, to the amazing staff and wide variety of dress options. I could not have had a better experience if I tried! Hannah was my bridal stylist, and was an absolute joy to work with. She was extremely helpful, and was willing to pull so many different dress styles to help me find the one for me. She definitely made the day go so much smoother, and made the day even more fun! She was also very responsive when I had questions weeks later about my dress. I could not recommend a&bé and their staff enough!! 😊

Blair Prewitt: a&bé was the first spot I went to try on dresses. I really loved a brand that they carried, but after trying them on, I wasn’t sure anymore. My consultant - Liv - PHENOMENAL. I can’t say enough good things about her. I felt like we were best friends and she hyped me up so much even though internally I was struggling. She ended up pulling a dress that was so different than what I pictured myself in, but once I had it on I knew that was my wedding dress.I left without buying since I still wanted to try on some other styles, but I came back a few weeks later and bought it.I never felt pressured to buy anything and Liv truly treated me like I was just playing dress up with no expectations. I was so happy to buy from them, specially because of Liv!I am giving 4 stars because I do wish they had larger sizes of some of their tighter dresses. I am a 8/10, and it was extremely difficult to picture myself in certain dresses that I loved because they were SO tight. It’s so important to be able to try on things that may not fit exactly right, but still give you an accurate picture of what the right size would look like. Trying on dresses that were extremely tight put me in a super overstimulated space mentally, so I would just love to recommend to the store to carry a larger size of all dresses.Other than that, store was stunning and never felt overcrowded.THANK YOU LIV

Anna Stumbras: Can't say enough about Rachel. Shopping, let alone wedding dress shopping, is not my comfort zone. Rachel made the process fun and relaxed. She was my first appointment of the day and I was so happy to return to the dress she helped me fall in love with!

Kayla Russeau: Very nice and accommodating crew at a&bee, they all made me feel very comfortable while trying on bridal gowns that were beautiful and plus size friendly!

Emma Stauffacher: Rachel was amazing, made me feel so comfortable and answered all of my questions. Beautiful space and dresses as well 10/10 experience!

Lauren Hansen: I worked with Grace N. She was so kind and everything I tried on was a great pull from her. Would 100% recommend

Sarah Dhanani: And I was able to find my dream dress!!!!!

Lisa Nicklay: a&be has sooo many dress options. I had often times heard they are more "Boho" if you will, which made me feel they would only have one style of dress but that is not at all the case. They offer plenty of styles and many unique options for all kinds of bridal dresses. They also promise to stay within the budget they give you and won't ever try to do a sales pitch or put you in something you cannot afford. I worked with both Stella and Macy. Both were extremely helpful, kind and fun. They were very easy going, which was a huge priority to me being that the experience can be overwhelming. I did end up buying a dress from here that I absolutely love. Overall, I had an awesome experience and would highly recommend coming here if you are looking to book a wedding dress appointment!

Kassie Stalsberg: I had a wonderful experience here! Devon was so sweet and helped me find a dress I love.

Mallory Hollingsworth: Had the best experience! Rachel was so kind, fun, informative and down to earth. I would recommend a&bé to everyone!

Abby Beedle: WOW. My experience here was simply amazing, Olivia S. not only listened to what my vision was in my head but challenged me to try a little of everything. She made the shopping process FUN and calming -- I never got a sense of being overwhelmed like I was in other shops. Lovely assortment of dresses, I think there is something there for everyone to try on. Nothing positivity radiating from a&be - so happy I said yes here!

Katherine Claffey: I worked with Liv and she was amazing. She made me feel in calm and collected when making a very important decision! I found my perfect dress with Liv. She was so knowledgeable about the designers, fits, styles and more. She was truly there to help and she was unbelievably fun while doing it! Go to Liv, she rocks!

Kaela Cloutier: Let me start off by saying that this bridal shop is amazing! I was cutting it close with timing on a wedding dress and Rachel made it happen. She got me in asap and after trying on 6 dresses I found the one! I went by myself and as soon as I got there I was comfortable! Great staff, Great atmosphere, Great dresses!! Go check them out!

Savanna Basina: LOOK NO FURTHER! This is THE shop. I went to 6 other shops before this one all over MN. Tried on around 100 dresses before here. The consultants are phenomenal. Best experience. Only shop I’ve been to where some designers custom cut your dress to your size! Save yourself the headache of other shops, GO HERE!

julia kotelevskaya: I literally had the best time at A&BÉ in Minneapolis! Everyone was so sweet and excited! Hannah was my bridal stylist and SHE IS LITERALLY THE BEST! She was so easy to work with and she was genuinely so much fun to hang out with! Highly recommend everyone to see this shop because even if you won’t find your dress, you’ll be in good hands with people who actually care.

Owl Optical: what do users think?

Amy Rimington: Customer service is amazing! And they really know style, comfort and fit - very knowledgeable. Thank you!!

Tim Pommer: We have been taking my daughter here since she was 3. The staff has greeted her by her first name every single time we walk in the door, with no prompting. The patience, attention to detail, and service we receive is second to none and we will never go somewhere else for her glasses.

MN Freedman: and are super accommodating of whatever special needs or issues you might have. They have frames that are locally made as well as frames from smaller, more boutique vendors, and some of the most prestigious global brands as well.Their expertise on lens selection is one of the other things that won me over as a loyal client. They introduced me to the various types of progressive lenses and when I found "digital" progressives I've never gone back to the old kind that all the other shops in town sold me.Prices at Owl Optical are also really competitive, but I would happily pay more for their service, knowledge, and simply knowing that I'm going to be happy as heck with whatever I get.It might also be worth mentioning that they have on on-site optometrist and my prescriptions have been super accurate. No issues like I've had elsewhere in the past. What else can I say? Owl Optical is simply the best optical shop I've ever found. I won't be going anywhere else as long as they're around!

Emily Doyle: Incredible customer service, amazing selection. One of the most fun shopping experiences I’ve had in MPLS!

Marsha: I had a great experience when Owl was in St Paul and followed them to their Minneapolis store for new glasses. Ashley chose a pair of frames that were perfect. When I had a concern about the frame after I had them for a few days, she worked her magic and exchanged the original frame for one that met my expectations. Great customer service, my glasses fit, and it is so easy to focus even with a complicated prescription. It was worth the drive!

Bob Andersen: I have a very strong prescription and astigmatism so it's hard to find lenses that work for me. This is the first place where I found lenses that are perfect! Plus, the variety of upscale frames to choose from is remarkable. I'm a tough eyeglass customer, but if Owl Optical can satisfy me, they can satisfy anyone!

Lamisa Chowdhury: I didn’t know I could love a pair of glasses until I purchased a pair from Owl Optical.

Ann Ruschy: Who would have thought buying new glasses could be so much fun? The entire team at Owl Optical was welcoming, knowledgeable, engaging, patient and honest. They made the whole process enjoyable. I am thrilled with my new glasses and sunglasses! Thank you!

Brok V.: I just bought the FRESHEST pair of glasses I've ever owned. I am historically a Warby guy, and I've grown tired of their selection and quality. I wanted glasses that fit my face, my personality, and stand out to people who appreciate a quality accessory. Wish I would have stopped into Owl 4 pairs of Warby's ago. Also, the staff was great - fun and passionate about their products.

Kristi Pastoor: Owl optical is an excellent place to buy glasses. Their customer service is stellar. They have gone above and beyond to help me with purchasing, replacing and fixing glasses.Best optical shop in the Twin Cities.

Jessica Holden: my purchase and that I didn't feel pressured.I also LOVE that as a point of policy and pride they DO NOT stock any Luxottica-owned brands

Sarah Thomas: can I remember having such a great experience. Ashley took the time help me understand why I didn't like my previous glasses and also explained how they should fit and why my new ones fit like a dream. Such a great experience. I didn't know picking out glasses could be so great.

Tony Verga: The staff at Owl Optical are top notch. By understanding my needs, and not trying to oversell me, they saved me *hundreds* of dollars on replacement lenses for my sunglasses! I'll be back for any future sunglasses purchases, thanks a bunch.

Dylan Boor: I love that they carry the Moscot brand. They're the only optical store in the state that does so! Julie couldn't have been nicer and helped me pick out a pair of Lemtosh sunglasses. Very glad to support this business and will come back for any of my Moscot needs.
