Kado no Mise: what do users think?

Jordan Brainard: We came for Omakase Matsu and also had the sake pairings. For two people, the highest level of omakase, a flight of paired sake, plus a couple extra orders of nigiri, we approached $500. The bill is total, there was not even a line for leaving a tip.I think this is a 5 star experience and worth the money for you if you know you already like the style of food. The other person in my party has eaten and prepared Japanese food for years and thoroughly enjoyed the entire meal, as well as the sake.On the other hand, while I consider myself an adventurous eater, and after trying everything, I found the food to be almost off putting. I would not take someone here if they don’t know what they’re in for: cold jellies, custards in warm broth, tiny whole squids, eels, obviously raw fish, etc. In other words: I don’t think this is a place you go to be introduced to the style of cuisine. The service was without reproach, best service I’ve ever had at any restaurant across any cuisine or city in this country. The service ware was also so unique. Every piece was unique, repaired with bits of gold, and traditional. Very beautiful. Everything done here is done with a high level of perfection and attention to detail.

Linda McLoon: All through the worst part of the pandemic, we tried to get take out from our favorite places. Restaurants really struggled, and it seemed important to keep the ones we loved. Kado no Mise was one of them. We just went back for a matsu table service multi course dinner. It is such a wonderful place, and the food is perfectly prepared classical Japanese food. We also opted for the sake tasting, which I highly recommend. It was really marvelous. There were many courses. We started with sakizuke, which was made of surf clam, spinach, tofu skin, and shitake mushroom. They served "wandering poet" sake with it. Sake names are the best! I won't enumerate all the many courses, but every one was perfect. We ended with a fabulous sequence of nigiri, including one topped with seared waygu. The most crazy course of the evening was fugu! Yes- the infamous puffer fish. It apparently is flown in from Japan and verified to be safe. It was interesting, for certain! The chef collects antique service ware from Japan. Each dish is served on beautiful and unique dishes. Each sake was served in a unique cup. These items are beautiful, and it feels very special eating from them. They are located at 33 North 1st Avenue in the North loop.I think it is impossible to eat here and not leave feeling calm and happy. The chef is the lovely smiling man in the bow tie. Be sure to wave!

David Wnek: Kada no Mise offers stunning food in their tucked away downtown location. Their omakase experience was delightful, featuring unique and delicate nigiri that blew us away, along with choice Japanese delicacies we've seen nowhere else.Alas, their tucked away location led to a very strange atmosphere, particularly the odd little room my wife and I were seated in. The dark room would have been atmospheric if it weren't for the bright red fire alarm and the three windows, two of which looked out to the bar and restaurant. The servers were all kind and knowledgeable, but there seemed to be a lack of coordination between them and a lack of practice on their delivery. An excellent food experience, though understand the rest of the dining experience may not reflect the pricetag.

KJ: Enjoyed omakase matsu with my daughter for our shared birthday celebration. After experiencing omakase in Japan, I have been craving that experience here. Just so happened the chef at Kado no Mise was an apprentice chef to the chef we ate with in Kyoto. Small world! Chef Furukawa made our meal at Kado no Mise memorable and served us the most delicious meal at the counter. It’s very expensive, but it’s more than just a meal. It’s a memorable, delicious experience, unlike any other place in the cities.

PinKU Japanese Street Food: what do users think?

Ammarah Sadiq: Best sushi ever!!😋 really sad you guys are closing😔

Prototypes End: Dine in: Yes Takeout: Yes

Jeff Storms: Unique take on Japanese street food! Some classic tastes and some others that are different. Brings me back to Japan for sure. I highly recommend the Okinomiyaki, the Katsu Curry, and Karaage.

Shelby Cara: incredible food, the chicken karaage, crispy shrimp rice and hiroshima dish were AMAZING

Linda Reed: The food is wonderful and the service is impeccable all in all a very good experience !!!!!!!.

Kathy Owens: I had the pork dumplings and it was very good. I'm not adept at using chopsticks, though and would have liked a fork, but it was good, the place was quaint, and just a nice experience. Will go there again.

Nick Goebel: Nice place, helpful and friendly staff. Food tasted and looked excellent!Their signature cocktail was great too.

John Fillman: Just got home from PinKU. Dinner was fantastic. New manager was fantastic. Our favorite neighborhood spot for comfort food.

Kimora Willis: Edit 9/19: X, the owner of PINKU, clearly cares about the feedback he receives from customers. After noticing a negative trend in his restaurant, he took the steps to better management and workplace conditions. There aren’t many restaurant owners like this, and I would encourage anyone who leaves a bad review to make sure it can be a learning opportunity for him, because he will definitely take advantage of it. Thank you X, for being one of the few restaurant owners who strive to do better.Unhappy staff leads to unhappy customers. Food is mediocre because they are always training in new employees to replace the ones that quit. I’m glad they pay their employees well, however that isn’t enough to make them stay. PINKU should work on team effort.

Ale Yasoko: The food was perfectly seasoned. Great service and friendly staff. Definitely will go back.

Ichiddo Ramen Minneapolis: what do users think?

Aabha: good food and nice employees!

Yulia Gulay: I ordered classic Char Siu ramen without adding or replacing any ingredients. It was pretty good. Thick soup with decent amount of noodle. Giving 4 stars just because I had a better one somewhere in New York, I guess. Otherwise recommend it. I like choose noodle type option. Will come againVegetarian options: Ramen, some appetizers. See menu picturesParking: Free parking lot for about 30 cars

Ashley Smith: Really good, very filling portions.Food: 4/5Recommended dishes Shredded Char Siu Ramen, Takoyaki …

Alan Garcia Gtz: Super clean and the food was tasty AF!

Dani Serenity: I love coming to this location! It’s always quiet and very relaxing the staff is always so nice and very quick and efficient. The food comes out very quickly too and they never have any problems messing up any modifications or add ons. Always a pleasure to come here. Tonight I was served by Kyla, she was very sweet and hardworking 😇👏💗I got the char su ramen and I added corn and crispy chicken. Amazing!!Recommend the takoyaki if you’re an adventurous foodie with an open mind for fried squid.

Anthony Urban: @ 1501 Hennepin Ave. S.

Emma Koetz: Excited to start school! Everyone was extremely helpful and answered any questions I had!

Kamilla Harris: I'm A Past Student And A Current Student. I Love This College. Everyone Is So Nice And Helpful. The Staff Is Very knowledgeable And Respectful Of My Pronouns And Respectful Of Me As A Person.

Deea Elliott: Staff and faculty is very nice, instructors are very understanding and flexible. Online classes are easy to follow. Very convenient location large campus and they a have basic needs support center open every Wednesday, they pass out food and personal hygiene items. Parking is my only problem here other than that very great school.

Laur en: bad egg teachers

Yarrow LaBeau: and now that I am on my 2nd semester, here's what I have to say.First the bad-The gym is a bit sad. There needs to be more equipment and I heard they used to offer yoga classes but since Covid they have not 😢The staff here are so supportive and it truly feels like this school puts the community in community College. My teachers and admin and other staff have been supportive while I have been dealing with a stalker/abuse situation. I feel fully supported and safe here.I also highly highly recommend the herbalism program because it's one of a kind and the teacher, Erica, is incredibly passionate and enthusiastic about the subject.

Giotto Troia: This review is only for the weight room. The music is horrible. I don't want to listen to jazz music when I'm working out. The attendant on duty said they don't have access to the music... I doubt that. The equipment is a bit old but usable and has a good variety. It's missing some machines like leg extension and some specialized benches. But overall a good selection for a free-for-students gym and convenient if you're already on campus.

Malik McDowell: Excellent place to learn and grow. Great place to update your skills, I would say upgrade!

Sevgi Sezen: Loved being there,Its a feeling to be ready for your new type of life on your career path.Just effort from your side to do homework and then you'll be able to success. My recommendations.

Leigh Miller: I both work and attend school here and I love doing both!!!!!

Kyatchi: what do users think?

Brooke Nelson: Had a great first visit! Extensive menu makes deciding difficult, but assures new experiences for every visit. Nice atmosphere and good service. Can’t wait to come back!

Claire Leo: The service here is always wonderful - attentive, without being pushy. Happy hour is absolutely the time to treat yourself without getting too spendy - I love that the happy hour menu has so many options; you can put together a very nice meal.

Solaris Wang: Been here 4 times just this year, it is THE spot for my sushi craving, the only comparably better place in the state is Kado no mise, that’s how good it is. The rice and vinegar balance is perfection - subtlety sweet and savory like fresh, slightly fermented grains. Soft yet never mushy. The kanpyo roll with the calabash gourd is the perfect texture with the rice, and their other offerings like pressed sushi and nigiri use a well respected seafood supplier that high end sushi places in the city use. The ramen is savory and authentic. I see complaints that the maki is small, keep in mind that they don’t have rice on the outside…California rolls originated from you guessed it, California…

Oak Druid: Reasonable happy hour with a nice variety of options. Chirashi sushi bowl was a little light on the fish with only 3 pieces, but a nice variety of pickles and such. The fish was good quality however. Great service!Service: 5/5Recommended dishes Sushi …

Vivien Lee: , and no one said anything to me. No, "it'll be a few minutes but please have a seat" or even mentioning the fact that there were people waiting ahead of us. We stood awkwardly in front of them but eventually moved to the side when we realized we wouldn't be seated right away. We almost walked out after waiting 10 minutes but were called to be seated as we were about to Google another spot.

R M: Great food as you can see once she kick the shoes off u know it's good..First time I went to a restaurant where I didn't need to add any sauce which is very good btw but the meat had so much flavor I kept forgetting to use it definitely would recommend for a nice date night or you can just cook up some nice food and enjoy the atmosphere, almost forgot great drinks as well...

Athina S: Our server Hoang/Andy was awesome!!!! He was funny, nice, and attentive! He checked on us the right amount of times and made sure our waters were refilled. He also brought out my friend her birthday dessert and it was MORE THAN AMAZING. The portions you get for the four person dinner was more than enough and such a GREAT DEAL!!! Wow we were blown away at what a great experience this was. This is the ONLY legit Asian bbq place in the whole state. This was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had in Minneapolis! Thank you Hoang! Please give him our praises and maybe a raise? 🤣

Aric Bertram: Went for the annual art sale. 2023 had 500 artists and 6,000 pieces of art. $2,000 max price, $50 average.

Daniel Appleby: The campus; the studios, the faculty, the students, the Art, are all first rate! And then the is the location. Adjacent to the Minneapolis institute of Art or MIA which is a wonderful art museum, right down down the street from the Walker Art Center which is an excellent contemporary Art Museum/resource complete with the late great Siah Armajani’s fantastic poetry bridge that takes one over and or back from the lovely Lorring Park where there is much to see and do.

kinderhood: They always seem like they are art minded when I see the students.

MOMO Sushi: what do users think?

Jessica Husted: Sushi was AMAZING! We had the tuna appetizer as well as the sushi bucket. We were able to request no shrimp with the bucket. We sat outside by the many fires. Would absolutely recommend it!Service was slow and often absent, but they were very busy.

Marissa Sanmiguel: This is by far the best sushi I have ever had in my life! The aesthetic of this restaurant is beyond stunning! The portion size of food, is huge!! Every time me and my boyfriend eat sushi, we spend well over 100$. I was in shock when we ordered two dinner entrees, chicken fried rice and steak hibachi, gyoza for appetizers, 3 types of sushi, and drinks, ALL FOR 70$. I’m giving everything 5 stars, minus the service. Still 4 stars, cause she was great, just very busy. Will definitely come back, and often!!Also, parking was a little hectic, but we found a spot! So worth it!!

Amber Hoppe: Amazing sushi as always. Would recommend the angry dragon roll and the Tibetan mountain roll.Dietary restrictions: I am dairy free, had no problem getting food.

moto-i: what do users think?

Yesenia Moran: Recommended dishes Rangoons

Gregory Miller: Best JFC in town

Danielle M: Dim lighting, comfortable seating with many options, and attentive service. They offer a decent spread of cocktail/mocktail style beverages - they were a wee bit on the pricey side for quality, so stuck to one. What makes this place shine is their BUNS. Fluffy, flavorful, I dang near shed a tear. Someone is putting love into them I just know it!My drunken noodles were also flavorful, veggie packed, but a bit on the oily side. I will still be going back.Amazing waitstaff. So personable, welcoming and interesting. Elinor is a star.Lot of options for vegetarian and vegans as well.Vegetarian options: Tofu and mock duck are available proteins. Ask for no fish sauce and you’re golden!

Noah Reed: After having some great authentic ramen in the cities, I wanted to try a more modern take on the classic dish. Decided to give moto-i a shot, and they did not disappoint!First off, it has to be said - the atmosphere is incredible. The place is clean, cool, and stylistic. It’s dimly lit, and they aren’t afraid to show off their love of Sumo. This love isn’t superficial - they often have matches on several of the many TVs around the space, and they even run a fantasy Sumo league. This is just a killer place to hang out, even without their food. The food is where they really shine though. I’m from Kansas, and we love our BBQ - when I say this is the best pork I’ve had in the Twin Cities, I’m not joking. The ramen as a whole is great, though definitely more modern than authentic in style. The same pork from the ramen is used in their outstanding pork buns, which is great. The menu is more focused than a typical ramen restaurant, but everything is delicious.Overall I would definitely recommend moto-i for some killer pork, modern ramen, and a cool place to hang out.

Niki Bee: Quick pop in while visiting the city for the day! Nice ambiance! Fast service & good food! Hipster Asian style eatery with some traditional and non traditional dishes! Would visit againParking: Metered street parking

David Ly: Never had a bad experience here. I love the atmosphere and the food, and the staff have always been friendlyVegetarian options: A good portion of the menu can be made vegan or vegetarian, but be sure to ask for it from your server.

Miranda Montes: . We sat and the bar. The bartender was super knowledgeable about both. They also gave us lots of info about special events they run since we are new to the area and are planning on coming back. We got the house made pickles and fries as a starter, vegan and classic ramen for dinner. Everything was so good and fresh! The vegan ramen was the best veg ramen I have ever had, super rich and flavorful. Love this spot!Vegetarian options: The vegan ramen was some of the best I have ever had! They have tons of vegetarian options and several vegan ones, plus delicious drinks. If you are veg put this place on your list!

Jose Quintana. .: and substituted the club soda for Sprite. It was delicious. I tasted Sake for the first time, and it was surprisingly good. A cross between a semi sweet white wine and peach schnapps but with no peach, it'll make sense when you try it. It was the first one on top of their sake menu. I also had their local cola, which reminded me of RC cola. I enjoyed it. For apps, we ordered the Rangoons, which, although they have no Crab, were deliciously filled and the pork belly pieces, which were juicy and crispy. We also had the pork belly and crispy chicken steamed buns. Each sauce complements the protein very well. Again, they were delicious. All 4 of us had the classic ramen. It was quite tasty and served very hot. We really enjoyed this place, and although we will return 10/10 for the great food, the experience wouldn't have been the same if it weren't for our server Tyler! From greeting and welcoming us to explaining the menu and giving us some suggestions, to refilling my drink multiple times just before it ended Tyler is the type of server and person that genuinely likes what he does, and does it very ,very well, that, definitely tied the whole experience while elevating it. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Christol Schultz: Stopped in without a reservation at 6:30 on a Friday, no table but plenty of room at the bar. It was busy but not noisy and even though they had tvs behind the bar, volume was down.Jonatan the bartender was friendly without being intrusive and offered suggestions which we took a couple and they did not disappoint. The titanic roll was topped with guacamole which oddly worked and we loved it. The crispy rice spicy tuna app was perfectly cooked and ample tuna on top. Both were very fresh and had good quality fish. Calamari although well cooked with a tasty dipping sauce isn’t something I think I’d order again because the menu had lots of other options. We shared two apps and a roll and that was plenty for us.We had the Hanami Spritz and Big in Japan cocktails..forgot the photo but they were very refreshing.Definitely will go back. You cannot enter the restaurant from the mall, you have to enter off of parking lot, it’s between Macy’s and Lifetime Fitness.

Tj Prall: . The roll is sweet from the mango salsa, spicy from the chili oil, and a unique mix of fish, avocado, etc. The California Roll is beyond imitation crab as this roll has real crab, which is really nice. The seaweed salad is something beautifully presented with shredded carrots, cucumber, water cress

Samurai sushi and hibachi: what do users think?

Evelyn Jurrens: I ate here last Wednesday night and got the AYCE for dinner. I had come here in the past and the quality was somewhat mediocre. But when I returned on Wednesday, it was much better. It was more like restaurant quality, rather than all you can eat quality. Although I will say, age 11 and above you have to pay the adult price of $30 for dinner. That seems pretty ridiculous. An 11 year old eats much less food than a full grown adult, so keep value in mind when you come here.

Rayne “Rayne Storm” Storm: It's now called Samurai, don't get confused with the original restaurant that has now become Benihana. Even this review came up as "Osaka". It's not the old Samurai, but it's not yucky Osaka either. I like the fact that if you're a couple and don't want to sit with strangers around the grill you can choose to sit at a table or booth alone & have the meal made elsewhere. The food was good, but was VERY surprised that they changed is for a green tea, and steamed rice. Which ALWAYS came automatically with your meal AND dessert at the other place. Only when you receive your bill will you discover all the extra charges! Personally, I feel they charge enough for the meal that they can afford to throw in the green tea...even if they don't give you the dessert.UPDATE 12/23Wait staff was kind and pleasant and the service was much better than our last visit. Would probably try again.

Aide Salgado: The owners were so nice and put so much effort into making quality food. With Lake st closed I had time to chat with them and hear about their struggle because of the street closure. Such a shame with the food being so amazing!

Noah Reed: The best place to get authentic ramen in the Twin Cities! The environment is cozy, and the staff has always been friendly. The ramen itself is great, with the broth being delicious and the pork being super tender and full of flavor. I’m always a sucker for good gyoza too, and here it’s great! There’s honestly not much else to say - this is a great no-nonsense place to grab a bowl of authentic ramen. Will definitely be visiting again!

John Woodward: .~JohnKid-friendliness: If your kids like you they will probably like eating here with you. Others, I don't know what to tell youWheelchair accessibility: Yes. Up to code and generously accommodating where possible.

Zachary Vrieze-Maloney: Best Ramen this side of the Pacific? No. Yes, they have Sriracha bottles on their tables, but that's obviously because of customers. It's certainly worth checking out if you're in the neighborhood and wanting some ramen.

jennifer Rugama: Love the Ramen at this placeFood: 5/5 …

Riley Rasmussen: Since I'm staying in Minneapolis for a few weeks for work, I wanted to try out some new restaurants. I found Tenka off reddit when looking up quality Ramen establishments, and Tenka did not disappoint. The lady at the cash register was extremely pleasant and the food came extremely fast. Albeit, I visited at about 3pm and the place was suprisingly empty. But the food was delicious. I had the chicken karaage and the tonkatsu ramen. The pork belly was tender and delicious and the chicken karaage was amazing. I spent just under $25 for this and a can of pop.Unfortunately the city hasn't taken care of the streets outside of the restaurant with the garbage and the homeless.. this place deserves a nice inviting storefront.

Tia Williams: Best chicken/pork belly sandwich in the city refreshing Boba superior customer service great for takeout or dine in. Bonus program the owner remembers your order! Love her
