Arthur Murray Dance Studio of Minneapolis: what do users think?

Taree McCabe: Lovely studio with amazing and passionate staff. Went to a spring introductory workshop event they put on a few weeks back and loved the experience. They offered a complimentary 1 on 1 dance lesson and I had the opportunity to dance with the instructor Named Jason. I would recommend this experience for anyone who’s interested in getting into dance. It’s a lovely studio and a low pressure environment for beginners, with clear proof of the potential for success with some work put in with the awesome staff.

Noah Mwambay: I was wrong. This place was definitely worth the investment!

Blue: Arthur Murray is a great studio. I came to the Saint Paul studio with absolutely no experience in dance, and after about a year of lessons, I feel much more confident, have a range of skills, and can enjoy dancing when I might otherwise have stood and watched. Definitely worth stopping in, even just for the introductory lessons to get a foundation. 💙💃🕺

Colby Harris: Brie was a very positive and cheerful instructor helping our group learn the basic steps of Bachata and Rumba. The group lesson had multiple sessions simultaneously in the same space, which made for minor distractions and bumping shoulders, but all in all was fun.Thank you!

Katie Hepler: My wife and I began taking weekly private lessons at Arthur Murray four months before our wedding with the intention of pulling off an awesome dance in front of our friends and family. While my wife had a dance background, I had avoided dancing for most of my life because of feeling self-conscious on the dance floor. The weekly private and group lessons gave me the confidence and skill to actually get out on the dance floor and go for it with pretty much any kind of music. On our wedding day we had a fully choreographed dance routine that wowed our audience, and we went into it without any nerves, but rather with confidence and poise. This was thanks to practicing at home, attending free group classes and performing in front of our peers and instructors at Arthur Murry.Even after our spectacular wedding dance, my wife and I are continuing to take lessons at Arthur Murray. We love learning how to move together and feeling our progress at weekly dance parties. This is largely thanks to the instructors who give the feedback you need, encourage you as you improve, and nudge you into challenging yourself and getting outside your comfort zone which is critical for a performative art such as dancing. The instructors not only know their stuff, but they’re a lot of fun too.Bottom line, dancing is fun, it’s physical as you’ll learn how to hold and move your body, you’ll get the mental challenge of constantly learning and performing in front of others, and you’ll get to actually look good out on the dance floor. Arthur Murray has been a supportive, inviting atmosphere for us and dancing has been a unique, shared experience that my wife and I will continue to enjoy throughout our lives.

Ginnifer: I went to Arthur Murrays to learn how to bachata and found out there's so much more to dancing than bachata! Ballroom dancing has been a gift, a great outlet, a form of expression for me! Arthur Murray staff and teachers are warm and friendly, and provide a positive learning environment for me to grow as a competent dancer. There's so much fun and camaraderie! I enjoy my experience with Arthur Murray Studio and highly recommend to anyone who wants to give it a try!

Mark Flaten: I am now in my third year of regular lessons at Arthur Murray. It has proven to be a positive life-changing experience. I feel part of the dancing community of students and teachers, I love the instruction I receive, and I have learned great skills in about a dozen different social dances. I attend as many of the free group dances on weeknights and free bi-weekly parties to maximize the value. My wife and I love to dance. This is the best place to learn to dance well in the Twin Cities! I find all the staff at Arthur Murray to be competent and kind and they have helped me to become passionate about dancing!

Lisa Novotny: My husband and I came to Arthur Murray 3 years ago to learn to dance for our daughter's wedding, and we've never left! It is so great to learn together, in a fun and supportive community with teachers who are so skilled and so patient. It is exercise, music, education and social--all wrapped up together! The staff and the other students are tremendous!

Eric Duffert: I had my introductory lesson today. It was awesome! The staff are professional, personable, and super fun. Nikki was wonderful and more than patient for a first-timer like myself. I would definitely recommend!

NLoett: After my Dad and my Sister had spent about a year dancing at Arthur Murray they convinced me to give it a try. After over a year of dancing I can say it's one of the best things I've ever done. The first obvious benefit is that it's good exercise, but that's not all. As someone who is on the autism spectrum and also suffers from fatigue, learning to dance has given me an incredible boost to my confidence in social situations as well as boosting my stamina. It doesn't stop there though, because the community of teachers and students is amazing. Everyone has been very supportive of me as I worked my way through all the dances and I've made some very good friends during my time there. Overall I'd recommend that just about everyone should at least give it a try. We'd love to have new members join our Arthur Murray family.

Stacy King: Five stars for zouk! Alli & Raj are the best!!

Suzette Wanninkhof: This was my first experience with ecstatic dance, and it was incredible! A really welcoming person at the door gave me a run down of the norms, and the vibe of dancing was perfect. Great DJ, very consent-focused space, so freeing.

Jacque G: A spacious place for folk dancing, well kept and attractive. There's a large studio for events and smaller practice rooms. Limited parking is available as well as street parking.

Daniel Jandrin: I went for Contra. Everyone is helpful and patient with a newbie. I had unfortunately arrived late, but still had a few people take their time to give me a crash course in how to do particular moves. The community here is top notch.

Tazz Films: I love bringing my family to Dance Church

Lydia McAnerney: A wonderful, inclusive, and genuinely welcoming place to dance. First timers welcome...all dances and steps taught.

Hollie Benton: A happy, friendly place. Great community and always welcoming.

Justin Savageau: Love this place! Been here for dance church/shake your bones. Wonderful welcoming space great tunes and vibes all around. Will continue to come back

Zenon Dance School: what do users think?

Sarah Huntley: I recently signed my son up for youth hip hop and he loved the class. A youth coordinator sent out a welcome message as well which was very kind and unexpected. I have taken Adult belly dance, capoeira, African fusion and hip hop at Zenon in the past. I am happy that my son is looking forward to a dance future with the school.

Sasha Bariffe: I really appreciate this dance school. They're not offering the class that I wanted this season so taking it elsewhere, but really hopeful their offerings this winter are a better match so I can get back here.

Kristen Diehl: As always, the best place for dance lessons! In person classes enforce social distancing and mask wearing at this time. Zoom links are also available.

《Shadow Arts》: I always have fun taking dance here. Great energy.

Marianna Sanz: Ballet classes are wonderful here

M Anderson: The instructors here are excellent. I've moved further away but I still find myself coming back here. My favorite classes are with Roxanne, Lisa, Penny, and Marcia. Everyone here knows what they're doing and they make it fun and supportive, too.If you've never taken a class in dance before, Zenon would be a very good place to start. Even the students are supportive of each other.

Four Seasons Dance Studio: what do users think?

Valerie Cooper: We just finished taking the 4 session wedding dance class and had an amazing time. Rebecca is so sweet and knowledgeable! We went in knowing nothing about formal dancing. Even though it's a group class, Rebecca is sure to spend some one on one time with each couple to make sure they know how to make the dance work for their song. She even uses your phone to video you and your partner dancing while also coaching you through it so you can go back and watch it anytime. We'll definitely be practicing before our big day, but I already feel like we know enough to surprise/impress our guest during our 1st dance at our wedding. If you're nervous about dancing in front of everyone at your wedding, take this class!! We might be back just for a fun date night activity!

Autumn Wonderlich: Dance classes from Rebecca at Four Seasons was the highlight of our wedding planning process! It was so fun to create a unique and special dance, and it helped us feel prepare for our big day. I highly recommend classes here!

Rob Cegla: . We were able to tell Rebecca our song at the start, and over the course of the month she choreographed our entire dance with us - teaching us everything from the basic step to a number of more complicated moves, at a very well-structured pace, adding little bits at a time until we had the whole song planned beat for beat.Rebecca is a great teacher - I can't tell you how many times we were shown a move and our first reaction was "How the heck are we gonna learn that??" - but by the end of the lesson, we had it down.During the group lessons, you also spend some time practicing your moves to the other couples' songs

Silka Schreiber: I visited Four Seasons Dance Studio for a one hour private class two days before my wedding. My husband and I have no experience dancing and wanted to avoid just doing the “prom sway” for our first dance. Rebecca was a fantastic teacher who worked with us for an hour and I’m still surprised how well our first dance went with only one lesson!

Madison Eckel: dance down for our wedding. We started at an Arthur Murray studio and after it taking 4 classes to even get an idea of what our full dance would look like, my husband had been taking classes here with his mom for their dance. Needless to say we switched over and Bruce opened up his schedule for us on a Saturday and Sunday two weeks before our wedding, and we had an awesome dance after just two lessons. He was so easy to work with and so helpful. Our dance was wonderful and I will never go to another commercial studio like we started at! Thank you thank you thank you Bruce!!

Thad “LeTree” Keomany: Very nice and spacey. If curious about sound proofing between rooms, its perfectly constructed. Bathrooms are nice, a lot of waiting areas to sit. This review is strictly for venue rental, does not describe the actual Dance Services.

Bill: Met my girlfriend here!

Stacy King: Took a kizomba class. They were so friendly and welcoming. They were patient, and the structure of the class is great. Highly recommend!!!

Caroline Jasper: After doing a bit of research to see what dance lessons were offered in the Minneapolis area my husband and I heard back quickly from Rebecca at Four Seasons. We purchased 4 dance lessons - used two for ourselves, one for myself and my dad, and one for my husband and his mom! Between the 4 of us we have little to no dance experience and minimal to moderate musical ability. Rebecca was an absolute joy to work with and made the process so fun!! She is a natural teacher and navigates beginners very well! She did a great job choreographing a realistic dance for all of us and we had so many compliments after the wedding! We would highly recommend Rebecca and the Four Seasons Dance Studio!

daddyasf100: i’ve been going here weekly for about a year. The idea of it was intimidating at first but as soon as i got there the environment was very welcoming and everyone seemed friendly. after like one class i fell in love with with the art of it. the instructors are all really nice and encouraging. it’s become a very positive community, and it really feels like a second home for me and lots of other people. I’m happy i chose this studio and i highly recommend it to anyone. it’s also very clean and the interior is cute 10/10

Quynh Nguyen: 3/27/23 - still love the studio and take classes here, the instructors are all very kindly and supportive! Changed my life and mindset to take pole classes and I can't recommend them enough.I've spent a LOT of money and time trying out all kinds of fitness fads, gym memberships, and workout equipment. I really had a hard time just sticking to anything because I wasn't "hell yes" about lifting weights or sweating in yoga class. Then I had a friend invite me to an open pole class and I was hooked. Pole dance class is a LOT of fun, with good vibes and supportive instructors. It's taught me to appreciate my physicality and celebrate my strengths, and to be attentive to my weaknesses. Highly recommend!

I love getting to know the staff and they love to answer any questions or give referrals! Perfect for complete beginners- come as you are, no judgement, all kinds of body types and shapes! The room in the back for open pole is great too if you don’t have a pole at home, it has definitely helped me progress. Download the Dollhouse Pole app to buy classes and schedule easily 👌🏼

Kamiko Higashi: I’ve been going here for a few years now & I don’t have a single negative thing to say about Dollhouse! There are classes for all levels, it is an inclusive, and body positive place! If you’ve been on the fence about trying pole dancing I highly recommend you give dollhouse a chance. Also, keep mind this place is popular so you may need to plan ahead due to classes sometimes filling up fast!

D Valle: I'm just interested in attending to show support to you ladies, i don't suppose they have classes for men right? I'm open to new experiences Id be more than happy to learn a new skill

Hailey Meshefski: My husband and I booked dance lessons for our first dance song at our wedding. Jessica was a fantastic teacher and took extra time and thought into creating the perfect choreography.

Prim Ilagan: Dancer Studio is a very welcoming place to learn to dance. Come as a couple or single, partners are rotated so there’s a chance to dance with everyone in the class. On this occasion the lesson was Rumba, the class starts out with the basic steps then more steps are added, usually a turn is added by the end of class you’ve learned a whole pattern. Everyone is kind and are all there to learn together. Jessica is a great instructor, her pink shoes are fabulous.

House of Dance Twin Cities: what do users think?

Aleeza M: I'm always going to be proud to say I started my dancing journey at HOD. With an environment so focused on learning, it creates an openness for each dancer to truly express themselves their own way. I hope to see HOD expand across minneapolis so more people experience this dancing community. So thankful for HOD and the community it is building!

Alex Boeser: My 5.5 year old daughter just finished Hip Hop for Tots classes here. David was incredible at getting everyone involved, made lessons manageable and interesting for the kids, and had unbelievable patience. Bryn was another instructor who put a lot of effort and patience into the classes, and I will absolutely encourage my daughter to continue classes here if the other instructors are anything like them.

Ashley YangTao: 10/10 recommend! House of Dance is an amazing place for students of all ages to learn, grow, and build community all while having fun. Their staff is the best in Minnesota with amazing knowledge and technique. Highly recommend taking classes here or attending one of their battles!

Juice: This is the best dance studio in the world!

Nina Watts: My daughter had a great time

Jennifer Skavnak: We love love love House of Dance TC! Our son has been taking breakdancing lessons there for two years now. Jake, Leroy, and the rest of the instructors are fantastic. In addition to teaching the kids breakdancing skills, they also really emphasize with the kids how crucial it is to respect each other and learn from each other. If I could give them 10 stars, I would!

Susan: First day, great first impression!

E J P: but to also jam to their playlists! 😆 The staff can dance their butts off!? The studio is clean and inviting as well. I would definitely recommend! 🎧

Moore Than Dance: what do users think?

Justina Marsh: had a ton of fun and are so happy to start dancing after asking about it for months. Angela is so kind and welcomed us in right away. Angela did really well with the girls making it fun while also teaching them terminology. We didn’t feel pressured to sign up the girls but wanted to after they enjoyed their time. Highly recommend Moore Than Dance and we are so excited to bring our girls back!

Ia Vang: Its our first time here at Moore Than Dance and I’m loving it already. My baby girl is so excited and was screaming out of her lungs! The staff is super nice and were loving Mrs. Angela. My baby girl got a free Leotard because we registered her for the class, that was very kind for the studio to have done that for us, or else my baby won’t have anything to wear for dance.

Amy Bustamante: My daughter is in the mini theater class. She really loves it. They had such a nice performance of Finding Nemo this past December and she just loved being a part of it. My son also just started the beginning hip-hop class and he says he loves it! Can't wait to see their recital that they are currently working on. 🙌

Tamika Baskin: After searching for dance class options for my 3 -year old, I decided to contact Moore Than Dance. The team was quick to follow up on my inquiry, offered a trial class, and remained in communication with me. When we arrived to the facility, the team was very kind to my daughter and made sure she felt comfortable, included, and had fun, which was very important for me to see. She couldn't stop talking about the fun she had, so of course we must sign up for classes! So far, Moore Than Dance checks off all my boxes....and my daughter's boxes. I look forward to this journey.

janaya jackson: Great group of staff wonderful facility. It’s been a great experience

Julia Haas: We went for a trial class and my daughter was extremely nervous. The teachers were very accommodating and everyone at the studio was very helpful and very nice. I liked it so much that we signed up that evening, despite the fact that my daughter wouldn't dance a whole bunch during the trial class. We look forward to taking our classes here!

Alison Din: My child loves spending time at Moore Than Dance. Ms. Angela is so kind and the children adore her as well as each teacher at MTD. We are thankful to have a dance studio that teaches the foundations of dance while allowing children to remain wholesome.

Haley Barrett: The team at Moore Than Dance is beyond talented and incredible at what they do. From the moment we walked in I felt at home here. For our first dance studio experience it was everything I was hoping for. The classes are well structured and age appropriate. Intrepid Dance Company: what do users think?

Melanie Lee: Best place for teaching dance to the littles.

Samantha Kuehn: We love Intrepid! Melissa McCabe and her staff are not only highly qualified, but they put their hearts into their dancers. We previously came from another studio that was less than acceptable. Melissa has been a breath of fresh air, and our girls have learned SO much. So thankful we made the switch!

Deah Harambasic: At first I was upset I couldn't stay to watch my kid practice. But it really makes sense, because the focus is on having fun and DANCE, and NOT on overbearing dance moms hovering over their children to make sure everything is perfect. Intrepid is a casual, inclusive studio. Wear what you want. No pressure on appearance at all. My kid loves that she can go dance in shorts and a tshirt. Best of all, I got to take a tap class this year. I've never danced before in my life, and I was up on stage by the end of the season! My heart is so full to have this special activity I can share with her. We are both looking forward to next season!

Michelle Harris: We couldn’t ask for a better dance studio! My daughter has danced there since she was 3years old and absolutely loves it. She gets so excited every week to go to dance class. Melissa and all the other teachers are so welcoming and caring for all their students/dancers. We couldn’t be more proud than to be apart of the IDC family!

Cindy Langenfeld: My daughter has learned so much and really enjoys going to class. The teachers are awesome.

Christina Pfingsten: We have had an amazing experience at Intrepid. My daughter has learned so much from the talented staff, and loves the creative choreography!

PixPro Media: We have had the pleasure of working with Melissa and capturing video at the Intrepid recitals since the studio opened. Not only is Melissa one of the most organized business owners I have met, it is clear to see she takes so much pride in the success of her students. It has been fun to watch Intrepid grow and we hope to be part of the Intrepid family for many years to come!

Jason Stensland: Stellar owner & great facility! Super personable!!Can't go wrong for dance for your kids!

Barbara McCabe: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueExcellent classes for both kids and adults. Professional teachers who work hard to help you achieve all you want from a dance class

Mark Nyagaka: Is it possible to rent the place for a private practice?

Kenya Taylor Allison: If your looking for a amazing dance studio I highly recommend Intrepid Dance Studio. Watching my daughter this past year has been amazing. She has not only grown as a dancer but her confidence has grown as well. Melissa and Whitney has helped build upon her strengths and weakness. They teach students proper technique and the importance of believing in yourself. They genuinely care about each student in the studio and it shows. IDC is more than a studio for us it has become our family.

Nicole B: Wanted to make a shout out to Miss Melissa and Miss Whitney on there wonderful dance studio. This is there first year of the studio, but you can tell they know there what they are doing. My daughter is only 3 years old, but when they are teaching them they are so kind and loving towards her. I highly recommend bringing your children to this studio to learn proper technique and being a team member towards others

Brian Scholten: Melissa is a wonderful lady and cares so much for the kids. She took a big risk in opening her own studio but the results and the overwhelming community support and appreciation she's gotten has more than made her venture worth it. Highly recommend her studio for dance instruction of all skill sets.

Duende Dance Studio: what do users think?

David Dickey: 1st and 3rd Fridays rebels Westcoast swing dance club has their dances at duende dance studio.

Teresa Paetznick: I love Duende!! I have been taking both group and private lessons for 3+ years and have grown both my salsa and bachata follow capabilities substantially from when I first started. Not only are the instructors knowledgeable, they breakdown the movements so that I understand what I’m doing and not just copying the move they demonstrated. I expected to improve my dance capabilities but wasn’t expecting the wonderful community and friendships that I’ve built. I would recommend the Duende Studio for new dancers as well as more advanced dancers. There are classes available for all levels.

Dragana Jevtovic: Great instructors! All of them.A fine and professional setting, friendly atmosphere.A very good way to learn to dance properly while having fun. Confidence building. And, the more you practice the better you get.I enjoyed the social events too!Strongly recommended.I am in Minneapolis only occasionally but I will use every opportunity to go to this studio.Thank you all for your dedication.

Jennifer Day: Excellent classes! I learn a lot in every class and have made some wonderful friends at the studio!

Michael Mesfin: Amazing instruction. Very pleased with my experience at this studio.

Mike Kershaw: Dance lessons have been a real blast, and from my perspective doing them as a couple helps build chemistry and connection with your significant other.

Meghan Morris: I can’t say enough good things about Duende! All of the instructors are patient and helpful and make a dance newbie feel welcome. Shoutout especially to Melissa for wrangling us cats and for her 1:1 instruction!

Sandra George: Super fun instructors and great lessons. I always wanted to try this style of dance but always had an excuse not to try for many years. They welcomed me and I have fallen in love with the dance. So much to learn and grow in dance. If you’ve ever thought about it, try this studio. You will not regret it.

Erin Casper: I highly recommend Duende Dance Studio, they are very professional and have a great studio space. The entire staff and instructors want you to succeed in your dance journey and they will give you the skills you need for that success.

Daleco James: Duende is one of the best studios in MN, the instructions are super knowledgeable about technique. And, really support the goals of everyone no matter the level of dancer. All the staff are friendly, super nice to be around. I really feel welcomed when I’m in there. I recommend everyone to come and take lessons.

Olivia Rose: I love Duende! Byron, Melissa, and all the other instructors I’ve met are fantastic—they are welcoming, knowledgeable, professional, and they really care about their students. Melissa also manages the front desk and somehow remembers EVERYONE’S names. All the instructors are friendly when they see you out at socials around the Twin Cities. The classes and curriculum are structured to provide the most effective lessons for the number and variety of students. I always feel like I get a lot out of the group classes, even on occasions where I’m already familiar with some of the moves.Because the studio is so popular, there can be a lot of door-traffic at the beginning of class. Make sure you register beforehand, arrive as early as possible, and follow all the guidelines on the website. Melissa is awesome and so helpful, but there’s only so much she can do when 80 people are walking in within a 10-minute window.I also highly recommend their monthly social! The music is always great & it’s a comfortable space for new and experienced dancers.

Neal Lewandowski: best instructors ever....sam and kathy...oustanding for anyone, beginner or any level. guaranteed fun.

Larkin Dance Studio: what do users think?

Juan Montoya: 👍💃🕺

Allison Auger: You will not find another studio in the state that compares. They teach correct technique. They will not compromise safety just to move someone on for the sake of a parents happiness. For example move a kid to pointe before child is ready. The tuition compared to others in the area is far cheaper when you compare value, quality and quantity. They create and produce best in the nation dancers. However, they are small in the sense it is very much a family environment. Kids and parents alike form lifelong bonds that go far beyond the dance years. If you want to be apart of something very special I highly recommend. My family is a 3rd generation Larkin family-dancers! ❤️

Shadow Thunder12: I dance here and I enjoy the studio so much

Gabriella Kim: Positive:Professionalism

Ashley Aanenson: they work with her very well. Samarie loves going to dance and it's taught her to follow direction as well as to have her own style. #Larkin girls and boys rule the world :

Carolyn Morgan: Positive:ProfessionalismWe traveled to Las Vegas over 4th Of July to the Dance Studio awards/contest. We were so impressed with the whole dance company.Congrats to all! We will see you next year.
